I'm looking at your predictions and most of you guys are overly optimistic. You give 5-10% to a BTC price above $7000 :O I consider myself an optimist and a bull and I think we'll see a new high this year, but that would be ~$1500. If you think we can reach $5k or more this year you're dreaming.
1200 seemed totally crazy and exaggarated in early 2013 when a coin was at 10$/BTC. If BTC enters a rally, and that is only a question of time, do you really think it will just surpass the previous ATH by a measly 25%? That's like the last rally ending at 332$ gox price. If btc starts rallying, it is like a russian locomotive, it won't stop, there's just too much momentum, too much euphoria, hype, it will keep going and going and going. So 5k/BTC is in no way exaggarated. Perhaps even way less exaggarated than predicting 1200$ ATH in early 2013. As I said before, last year people were more confident. Gox pumped the price with a bot, Chinese market looked healthy. This year it's a bit different, a lot of FUD, people seem nervous, overreacting and dumping cluelessly. A large number of investors lost money on Gox, some just backed away from planned investments hearing that so much money disappeared. I don't think we'll see last year's growth again, at least until the Gox case gets closed and/or China's policy changes. How about we stop talking about those fakers ? China , really? I just hope that chinese police storms houbi and okcoin headquarters so all the world finds out they only have 100 btc and 1000 monkeys doing fake volume trades. I agree and like I said, the Chinese situation will ultimately have little effect on the downtrend one way or the other. The downtrend is in force because there are not enough buyers on stamp etc. to support these levels and that will only change once the volume of buyers increases consistently. And you went long? right? |

And no way in hell i'm going to write down the full and correct version. Besides the countryside in both .ro and .ru is not what it used to be. There are bills there also for gas for electricity for water.. If you want to go and live in the woods and wash yourself in the river.. be my guest. I prefer searching for a job in a country with 20% unemployment and rely on my skills and knowledge. |

I was assuming that the whole purpose of this poll was that it was about the future and not in the past. Otherwise I would have made a snide remark about how 3 exchanges already visited $102.

if BC hits 2 dollars i'll eat my hat and change my theory on PoS models. I just don't see how there can be enough money honestly...unless btc hits 700+ maybe idk.
If it hits 2$ i'll eat something better If it hits $2 I will still eat the same thing I eat every day though when BC hits $100 I will be eating something really fucking expensive, I don't know yet! Probably fresh crocodile meat! HMM , that doesn't sound too delicious. |

I'm really interested in those statistics , can you provide a link for it:? Also , I don't give that much tought for the rest of your claims . I think the top few are MintPal cold storage wallets though. Hmm , let's hope not. If a single exchange hold that much , i'm having mtgox nightmares I don't think you have to worry about that really... but again - if you use an exchange as a wallet, you're asking for trouble. On the other hand for an exchange with thousands of accounts to have $2M-3M in the most widely traded coin on the site is nothing. I would guess a few of the other top ones are Cryptsy. Just think about it - if there are buys (and sells) of 100-200BTC occuring on MintPal - then the exchange has to have both 100-200BTC and 100-200BTC worth of BC on the exchange at the same time. Of course this is simply for these two trades to occur, and obviously they also have all of the BTC and BC represented in every other trade. What was volume yesterday? Naturally, there isn't that much there as traders move back and forth... but probably a third of the volume is/was stored in MintPal wallets at some point in time. I only keep what I trade with on there, but it's big enough that just ~2000 people keeping the same amount would fill up those wallets right there... and I'm a tiny minnow in this ocean of whales now. If they own those wallets they own around 10% of the coins. 10% of the coins in the hands of an exchange is not good. It just screams for people to start manipulating the coin and I don't wanna see this happening with bc. Too bad we can't trace those |

The volume on mintpal is insane ...I'm starting to have a bad feeling about this. Coin are changing hands this is healthy this is most important thing in crypto and in POS system too.More owners greater community more stabilization. We just can't go in one day in LTC price lvl...but we can with such volume... really i don't know what the f. is going on now. But be honest BC under 1$ is still big occasion...I wonder how those coins are changing hands. The volume can be only from poeple buying or 70%/30% (buying/dumping) or god knows what numbers. The share amount of btc thrown around on mintpal is amazing for that exchange. I can't bring myself to think that there were that many coins ( BTC) there to buy this up. |

I really don't understand why wallets have no Two-factor authentications !
So many people would still have their coins.
This should be the number one priority for the dev-team.

Have you even been following my trades? I covered my short at $340-$360 and went long at $425. You do just what the other bears do around here. If you see the smallest price bump you shout that you're closing you're short and go long but expect it to be only temporarily while you keep shouting down down down. You've done it so many times that it's just doesn't count anymore. |

I have absolutely no idea of what the price will do. However the market clearly is not that optimistic, otherwise the price today would be at least 4000 x 50% = 2000$. The market today does not give more than 12% probability of that happening; probably much less than that. You haven't been around during the 300k/ BTC predictions. |
