What sanctions? And wait.. out of the blue they have an effect?
Not so much sanctions, but the lowered use of and trust in Visa and MasterCard. "We are caught between the politics of the United States and the politics of Russia," Chief Financial Officer Byron Pollitt said on a post-earnings conference call on Thursday.
"We're clearly seeing a drop-off in cross-border volume and sanctions are expected to have some impact on volume."

It seems like neither Russia nor Bitcoin will be able to make a dent into their profits this quarter. And the amount is insane. Net income attributable to Visa rose 26 percent from a year earlier to $1.60 billion, or $2.52 per Class A share, in the second quarter.
Visa earned $2.20 per share, excluding a tax benefit of $218 million in the quarter.
Total operating revenue increased to $3.16 billion from $2.96 billion.
Visa said it expected full-year revenue to grow 10-11 percent. The company had earlier said its revenue was expected to grow in low double digits in percentage terms. |

I was backreading, didn't someone mention creative marketing too, like crop circles of the logo. Or just something to grab people's attention. Obviously brainstorming would be key here, but to stay on the radar we have to come up with these things too.
This is indeed a nice idea. And no coin has done it before as far as I know , right? yea no one, not to my knowledge. I researched it a bit and think it might not be that hard to do. not sure who originally mentioned it though as maybe he'd want to take charge of the project. i also don't know how to do donations, nor would i expect anyone to send me any as obviously i'm new to fund it, so maybe we can get this idea in the right hands. We just need somebody with enough land to do so. With that many members I doubt there isn't anybody with an uncle father relative farmer. Doing this out of the blue during the night on somebody land without permission might just mean jail time |

China consumes and produces far too much than deemed to be insignificant. All exchanges follow China. As much as we all hate the corrupt, rotten, brutal and communist Chinese dictatorship, the Chinese working poor would be better off with BitCoin. So to see BTC fail in China will be anything but good.
All exchanges follow China because they are idiots. A lot of websites already claimed that they won't publish or take into account data from huobi and okcoin because . what do you know. their volume is soooo fake. Also , actual use of Bitcoin in China is indeed insignificant. |
