3221  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Project COVID-19 Art Contest Discussion on: January 11, 2021, 02:46:40 PM
Finally, a contest that I could take part in [I felt left out for not being able to join any of Hhampuz's recent contests due to my location (no hard feelings)] Smiley

I know this art contest is for a good cause but should we also base our designs around Covid-19 or we're allowed to go with various subjects as our art?
- Any limits in regards to the number of submissions?

Update:
Good question. Since this is "Project COVID-19 Art Contest" maybe we can use the theme of how Project COVID-19 is supporting the community, it's impact, how we are fighting against COVID-19 and ultimately feature Bitcoin - these sorts of things.
Thank you for the response Smiley
3222  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: January 11, 2021, 09:56:13 AM
I think Arsenal is in good shape right now. They are only 6 points behind the top 4 places and their chances are real to get into that if they continue like this. However the Premier League is totally unpredictable but I feel confident that Arsenal will be in the top 4 in the end as they used to be there almost every year and a certain time the Premier League standings before the Premier League started they put 4th Arsenal and the others were to see how would unfold  Grin.
I wouldn't be so sure about that... Even though I'm a Gunner myself, I'm confident enough that we're going to finish outside of the big four or maybe even 6.

I still can’t believe Aubameyang extended his contract there, he must be getting paid so much that he’s given up on sporting achievement in exchange for a higher salary.
We need to learn from Chelsea [stop giving ridiculous contracts to players above 30].

Arsenal has been good for a few games and suddenly, everyone thinks that they would make it to the top 4?
Unfortunately, I have to agree with you...
- In our last FA cup game, I saw bits of our previous form prior to winning the last three games.

Seeing that Newcastle had to play 120 minutes on Saturday, I think Sheffield might be able to finally get another draw Cheesy
3223  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Improving Cryptowisser.com's Exchange List - LOOKING FOR IDEAS on: January 11, 2021, 08:07:23 AM
  • any other ideas on how to improve it?
Here are my suggestions:

  • Adding another filter [apart from Continent] for choosing exchanges based on their origins [specific country].
  • Instead of having "US allowed column", you might want to replace it with "Restriction column" while showing restricted countries upon hovering over that column...
    - As it stands, you're focusing on the US alone while leaving other countries out.
  • Speed improvements...
    - There's a noticeable lag/delay upon clicking the dropdown button for the "Continent" filter.
3224  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: January 11, 2021, 06:32:08 AM
Folarin Balogun from arsenal to vfb stuttgart?
I hope it's just a loan instead of a permanent deal...
- Unfortunately, Arteta prefers "keeping Nketiah" and that's the deal-breaker for him.

It's a done deal. Mesut Özil's brother Mutlu Özil shared an Instagram story as Fenerbahçe logo and  Wink emoji.
We can see details of this transfer this week.
Finally, one less drama while going to the second half of the season.

Rumors:

  • Looks like Sokratis might follow Ozil to Fenerbahçe [source]
    - It's going to be a 3-year deal.
  • Phil Neville to Inter Miami (as a manager) [source]
3225  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Become a member of a bitcoin exchange by investing 1btc on: January 10, 2021, 07:51:27 AM
The site allows you to sell bitcoins and receive instant payment through various platforms such as PayPal.
I don't think asking for an irreversible [ish] payment in exchange for offering a reversible [chargeback possibilities] payment gives the best impression [especially for a newcomer].

To grow, we are bringing in new members and offering site shares starting with the 1btc investment.
What you and your partners have done to justify that 1BTC price tag [at the time of writing this is at $40,886] for each share?

The site is owned by our UK company
Which is?

SFR10, who would say that it has been approaching almost 5 years since I started this small project, and that I have managed to keep it alive so far.
Time flies. I never thought you'll be able to keep it alive for this long [I'm glad I was wrong] Smiley

Of course, I remember our collaboration well, because the logo that still stands on the page today is partly your design - dragons are indestructible Wink
You're giving me more credit than I deserve, I only retouched it but really miss the good old days...

I don't know how the faucets will manage to deal with this price, some already pay only 1 satoshi and I don't see that it makes sense to go lower than that.
I have a feeling most of them might switch to offering altcoin faucets instead [if BTCitcoins value keeps on rising].
- Perhaps you should focus on adding altcoin faucets more [IMHO, they're more attractive now].

I thought about it (report button) but I relied more on my checks which were regular and thorough - unfortunately this is not the case today, although I try to keep the lists as up to date as possible.
Regular checks are indeed better but as you already know, it takes time and it's completely understandable to be busy from time to time [life happens]...
- I may not have a lot of free time like before but if there's anything that I can do for you [for free], let me know Smiley
3227  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Forum moderation policy on: January 09, 2021, 06:44:58 AM
I was able to retrieve my old account for the past two years, is there new rules? or it is still the same on this topic?
This thread hasn't been updated since its creation day [outdated]. There might be some additions since you left while some have been polished: Unofficial list of (official) Bitcointalk.org rules, guidelines, FAQ
Btw, welcome back.
3228  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Where to Sell a Luxury Watch for Crypto? on: January 08, 2021, 01:17:42 PM
Thankful for tipps where to sell for btc.
In addition to the above comments, you can also try your luck on the following subreddit page: BitMarket

If you decide to go with one of the boards from this forum, you should take note of the "following guidelines [it'll help with the sale]".
3229  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is there anything called 'private key day' on: January 08, 2021, 10:52:02 AM
I am just surprised to know there is a day called 'proof of key day' which is January 3rd of every year now.
Same here so I did some digging and it's worth mentioning the name of the person responsible for that event "Trace Mayer [Video proof]".

I am now wondering how there can be 'proof of key day' but nothing like 'private key day'. One of the most important thing to know while dealing with bitcoin is private key.
What would you propose we should be doing if there was a "private key day" event every year?

And we should have a day to celebrate private key so people will know how it is not safe in term of control of bitcoin to make use of any custodial service in order to have full control over ones bitcoin.
I believe "proof of keys day" already covers that part [perhaps not in great details] and by doing so it does sound a bit repetitive [IMHO].

If there is none, please let us have one. We can choose a day on this forum for 'private key day', for the awareness of how private key is truly the real reason Bitcoin owners have full control on their bitcoin.
I'm afraid this might soon be followed by other similar events and quickly create a mess.
- I don't think we need to celebrate certain days in order to teach/educate other users about taking control of what is theirs.
3230  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Warning] Wealth Sharing System - Ponzi scheme on: January 08, 2021, 07:32:41 AM
@wealthsharingsystems
Before I start with the 1st set of questions, would it be fine if I include your PM on this thread?
- I need it as a reference to the 2nd set of questions.

we are provably fair, you guys are just stupid, sorry.
~Snipped~
Seriously you all are morons, and yet arrogant enough to not even contact us read our white paper, blog, anything or do anything but slander us.

Morons, thanks you!
Great start [says a lot about you]!

  • Funny that you mentioned, "not even contacting you". Did you contact Cloudbet and ask permission before you used [stole] their template, icons [while altering its colors] and even a lot of their lines [plagiarism with some alterations/additions]?

We are game of chance, not finance, there is no guaranteed or promised return nor is this investment.

Somehow an ICO manages to find its way into your platform [archived].
- That's interesting.

  • From the current team members, would you be able to ask "Kenneth Harris, Carl Hilston and Daniel Hahm" to make a video and confirm their involvement in this project?
    • AFAIK apart from Daniel, both of them have YouTube channels and could create private videos and you could post those links here.
    • Even though Dan's image appears to be him, I would like to see confirmation as well since I found his picture in "someone else's portfolio [archived]".
      - Just to be sure.
3231  Economy / Exchanges / Re: ShapeShift Is Going Full DeFi to Lose KYC Rules on: January 07, 2021, 09:22:37 AM
I hope Shapeshift will go out of the US soil before making any such drastic shift which may make their business unstable! Power to them!
Looks like they already "started" the process while remaining in the US [I hope it doesn't stay like that].

My concern is that ShapeShift is just offloading functionality onto other partially centralized -- even if non-custodial -- services, who themselves may end up being targeted by regulators.

~Snipped~
That's indeed a concern for a lot of us and it would probably be best to use it once they've switched to a fully decentralized structure [like what fillippone mentioned, it takes time].

I'm also part of the 95% that stopped using their services as soon as they changed their structure [back in 2018] and this change would surely make a lot of us go back to using their services if somehow they manage to achieve the so-called fully decentralized model.
3232  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: About selling Digital Goods! on: January 07, 2021, 07:10:13 AM
Omg!, I think I did not write the thing I wanted until everyone understood what I wanted.

The destination is I want to become a seller software to selling license os/sw/av
I want to sell such programs as viruses as well as Windows system product keys and so forth.
It was clear enough, apart from the word I highlighted in red [you might want to edit that part and replace it with the green highlighted word "av"].

Is the kind of selling is it legit?
If you're asking if it's allowed, then as to what JeromeTash mentioned the other day, yes it's allowed but the real question is if the method in which you're obtaining those keys are legitimate itself?
- Anything but valid/legal keys would result in you receiving negative ratings on your account [it won't go unnoticed].

Refer to other forum rules from "here".
3233  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: bitcoinparty.co - bitcoin prices comparison in Europe & US on: January 06, 2021, 01:04:52 PM
I think I found a bug while using small amounts for the "BTC > EUR" pair [swaply keeps giving negative amounts up until 29 euros] and on top of that if I use the least possible amount [9 euros], it keeps showing as a recommended exchange for that pair [I believe those shown with a light green background are considered best in each table]: SS of the bug
- Noticed a similar behavior for the PLN pair as well [SS for Flyingatom and Bitcantor].

  • If for some reason it's not a bug, then you should probably consider delisting those exchanges that return with negative results.
3234  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: A giveaway website that pays streamers and audience on: January 06, 2021, 10:48:29 AM
Has anyone here have heard of incent.com, it is mainly used by streamers to interact with their audience via giving away codes that will give you cryptocurrency, which as the title says also gives a cryptocurrency to the streamer as well.
I've read about them in the past but didn't dive into it but having said that, I looked up on YouTube and found a live streamer that was rewarding incent and IMHO, it's not worth it [rewards are quite insignificant].

I haven't personally used or participated in one because there is only a limited number of users that can use the code. You can check the website if you feel like it.
Since we need to download their app in order to redeem codes, I went on the Play Store and saw "many complaints".

The idea is great but it needs more polishing.
3235  Economy / Reputation / Re: Who controls Bestchange's account? on: January 06, 2021, 08:29:58 AM
It seems to me that one of the campaign managers is hiding behind a screen and not a support service.
Care to explain what brought you to that conclusion?

  • And this thought prompted me to the next thought, which can be formulated as "Can I really trust this account as the Bestchange support account?"
When it comes to representative accounts of certain projects, there are always mixed results of some being the support while others being a marketing guy of some sort but even in the latter case, they do forward issues to their respective support team and act accordingly...

  • Having said the above things, you should trust an account based on its actions instead of the type of position they belong to.

This account will soon become DT1 and in the event of any dispute, this account will be able to use a preventive response.
When it comes to DT status, none of the DT1/2 members have their names engraved in stone [a lot could change quickly if someone crosses the line (it will not go unnoticed)].

For someone that witnessed the very first few days of this platform, seeing it in its current state [massive improvements] gives great satisfaction to me [keep it up Wink]
- I might try using it for old times' sake [not expecting to earn a significant amount, just for fun] Smiley

The only thing that's missing is probably a report button for each faucet [useful when it comes to dead faucets].
3237  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: January 05, 2021, 03:22:04 PM
The name of Giroud is increasing in rankings of Juventus interest as 4th striker.

I think is the best you can have as the last attacker for very cheap and for only 6 months contract.
Indeed. His link-up play is great as well and this deal [if it happens] would surely benefit them in both ways.

Arsenal interested in Norwich winger Buendía - Alternative to Dortmund’s Brandt?
https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/news/view?id=377116
I rarely follow Championship so I did look him up on YouTube and looks promising but I think he's a bit pricey in regards to what he brings to the table...
- Based on their current standing, it'll be extremely hard to make them lower their asking price.

The candidates who could move to Norwich in return are said to be Joe Willock and Reiss Nelson. Both still have contracts running until 2023 and could make Norwich lower their asking price for the Argentinian, whom they are understood to value at around €44 million.
3238  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: BitArtShares.com- Now anyone can invest in Art using Bitcoins. on: January 05, 2021, 12:56:53 PM
Our Art experts have keen senses to whiff out art that has a lot of potential for future gains.
Care to name your so-called art experts [preferably with a confirmation of some sort from their end]?

We buy undervalued items from individuals, communities and sell them in Auction Houses after a certain amount of time for profit.
For those "you've already sold" with a profit, can you provide something to back everything up?
3239  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Peso ID - Short Bitcoin on: January 05, 2021, 10:00:28 AM
Peso ID is a simple Bitcoin wallet shortener. Turn any address into 3 characters: https://peso.id
An interesting service when it comes to sharing our addresses but I'm a bit worried if suddenly it changes into another platform meant for scamming [by changing the addresses] or a target for scammers to take control of your back-end and mess up the whole system...
- What measurements you've taken so far for combating the latter issue?

You should probably consider getting rid of the "delete link" button from those shareable links and only allow the owner to do it in some other way.
3240  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Altmarkets.io - Scam! on: January 05, 2021, 09:01:23 AM
These scammers are testing the V2 exchange. I think they will close all accounts of the old version, and as if nothing had happened, they will continue to deceive further.
I almost missed noticing your updated images and on those notes, I'm going to tag their representative in here but in your "withdraw history SS", it's not clear if it belongs to their platform [you might want to upload a better SS that shows also the URL while censoring other important information for privacy].
