2341  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: CoinPil.com is a fake trading platform on: August 04, 2021, 12:51:42 PM
@Magicalking
Even though you messed up the order, the ending part still made my day [priceless] Cheesy

While we're at it, let's expose some of its sister websites:

2342  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [verifymysms.com] Automated SMS Verification # Verify ANY Website # USA real sim on: August 04, 2021, 09:11:53 AM
Price
$1.5
~Snipped~
Long Term (Varies as per service)
7 days     $10 - $20
15 days   $15  - $30
30 days   $20  - $40
I'm curious to know why temporary numbers come with a fixed price [regardless of the service], as opposed to long-term ones?
- AFAICR, you're the first provider to have such a system in place.

and the number is currently not busy on our network.
So does that mean when purchasing a single number for a particular service, we're not going to be the only one that uses that same number for that particular service?
2343  Other / Meta / Re: Viable Projects? on: August 04, 2021, 06:31:36 AM
Has it lost its purpose for new projects? New posts announcements don't even go to the first page. They are pushed to the second page the second you post them where no one can see them.
In addition to @nutildah's post, refer to the following thread to get the whole picture: Bumping changes on some boards

The rules state no auto replies or paid replies for ANN threads and bounties yet there are tons in the token announcement area.
Have you tried reporting them?

Looking at projects on the first page you can clearly see bought and paid for replies. Are moderators being paid off to overlook these?
Nope, and they're also not robots! It's not fair to expect they'd be able to moderate every single post out there, there's only so much they could do.
2344  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin survey suggestions needed.. on: August 03, 2021, 04:30:56 PM
I was going to conduct Bitcoin survey in my area to know how much people know about the financial revolution "Bitcoin" and how many are aware about it's usage and its functionalty at first phase and make them aware about it if they don't know about it.
one of the purpose of this survey is to know still people believe in such bullshit and living away from reality and will guide them towards reality of bitcoin.
The only way you'd be able to properly achieve the bolded parts is with the use of a dynamic [automated] survey, as opposed to a survey that comes with a single set of questions.
- In addition to those, you have to find a way "within the survey" to provide appropriate sources for your respondents [easier said than done].

This is first phase of survey only and i want to include basic questions only
Which one of the following payment methods is known as a decentralized digital currency?

2345  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Huge financial firm NCR to acquire BTC ATM operator and POS firm LibertyX on: August 03, 2021, 12:41:37 PM
In statements, NCR said it plans to offer LibertyX’s software solutions to banks, retailers and restaurants through the company’s existing software wallet and mobile applications.
CMIIW, but all of the current LibertyX's machines would remain unchanged, and the integration part would only be from NCR's side?

Their machines are not listed on coinatmradar.com and other BTM locator sites.
~Snippped~
So for whatever reason, they do not want to be listed.
Very strange. Wonder if that will change under the NCR.
You're right! I found a piece of "information" that suggests they were listed [on coinatmradar] in the past, but for some weird reasons, that's no longer the case.
2346  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Platform Bitcdeal.com legit? on: August 03, 2021, 09:19:58 AM
@airzocker
Can you recall and confirm if that "fake" website had a similar template to the one being used in "Reebit [archived]"?
- I think I may have found a big chain of connected websites that all are "100%" fake.

  • After seeing it has a lot of fake reviews on "Trusts Reviews [archived]", prior to its creation date, I checked to see if the "description" part was plagiarized and it was indeed taken from "Bittrex".
  • I also used google to look up their logo and got the following interesting results:

2347  Other / Meta / Re: 🏺BitcoinTalk Iconic Personal Text ( Hall of Fame)🏺 on: August 03, 2021, 06:41:55 AM
Lauda had some odd stuff if I remember correctly.
Here's "one" that translates to "love my cat".

Is there an archive or something that one could check?
Here you go [just toggle between the years and click on the days that are highlighted in blue]: Link
- You could also try "archive.fo [or any of its other extensions]".

I would suggest adding @pooya87 to the list:

I see his personal text is now twice there. Grin
I guess @igehhh really liked it, so he/she chose to add it to two different rows Cheesy
2348  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2021-07-31] Feds are seizing cryptocurrency from criminals. Now they have to fi on: August 03, 2021, 05:13:26 AM
@SFR10. Those coins will be auctioned. Any government department are not allowed to sell seized assets in the market on their own behalf.
Sorry, I should've used the proper term [I meant auctioning those] but my question still stands... What will Anchorage Digital do with those funds, once it has successfully auctioned/liquidated those seized assets?
- It doesn't look like they have any plans for giving it back to the victims, am I right?
2349  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Golddiamondminer.com Review For SCAM - I WAS SCAMMED on: August 02, 2021, 05:43:55 PM
Where can I report them about that? Can somebody delete or suspend their domain immediately, when they see https://cryptoexperticonminers.com/ and https://golddiamondminer.com/ ?
You can try reporting them through their registrars but don't expect they'd take those down right away.
- I'd suggest using the "Report Abuse" sections on each of the following providers, but you can also contact them directly by phone or email.

Domain name: Golddiamondminer.com
Registrar URL: http://www.namecheap.com
Domain Name: cryptoexperticonminers.com
Registrar URL: www.publicdomainregistry.com
Domain Name: cryptoexpertminers.com

Have you ever seen this website before https://cryptoexperticonminers.com/, is it a scam too?
Just recently after @logfiles mentioned it and yes, it's also a scam.

If golddiamondminer.com are copying cryptoexperticonminers.com and this one is real seller, wouldn't it be easier to prove that https://golddiamondminer.com/ are criminals ?
CryptoExpertIconMiners is also copying [check its content] from GoldDiamondMiner [they're connected].
2350  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Nigeria Became 2nd In The World For Bitcoin Trading on: August 02, 2021, 03:47:51 PM
@igehhh
Great way to grab our attention with the slightly misleading title in the subject field Wink

Nigeria is a perfect example to show how having an extremely conservative approach, could be like shooting yourself in the foot!
- What they've done has led to most trades moving to less secured underground platforms [as stated in the above article] and they've even lost the little control they once had [SMH].

There are a lot of people there that became engaged in bitcoin trading because the profit that they want from it is enough to sustain their needs and every expense that they have.
I strongly believe it's a bit more than just for its potential profits.
2351  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2021-07-31] Feds are seizing cryptocurrency from criminals. Now they have to fi on: August 02, 2021, 02:01:55 PM
Feds are seizing cryptocurrency from criminals. Now they have to figure out what to do with it.
After reading the above comments and also the article itself, am I correct in assuming that instead of giving it back to the victims, they're just going to sell it for their own benefits?
- If my assumption was correct, then that makes them even worse than the scammers! Where those funds are going to be used?

Since you're already a Jr. Member and you've already purchased Copper Membership, you just have to use the correct format and they'll show up by default:

- When you upload an image into Imgur, hover over the image > click the 3 dots from the upper right corner > get share links > copy the link for "BBCode (Forums)".
- You can replace the above link with one of the following links instead [the second link is the resized version]:

Comments, questions and suggestions are welcome.
  • You might want to mention on what type of paper or rather material you'll be printing those?
  • It would've been better if you didn't have to rely on someone else's pictures.
  • From where it'll be shipped?
  • How much [roughly] you're looking to sell those for?
2353  Other / Archival / Re: Bybit and FTX are clones of BitMEX and Binance? on: August 02, 2021, 07:41:50 AM
What do you think about this?
I'd prefer to not comment in regards to the possibility of having a connection between them [regardless of the above recent events], but it makes perfect sense [for them] to have some sort of a safety net in place since there are a lot of things at stake.
- Having said that, I see such moves as unethical behavior by exchanges, and unfortunately, only a small group of people or exchanges value such things.

2355  Economy / Services / Re: ▊ SFR ESCROW SERVICE ▊ 1% fee ▊ [ACTIVE] on: August 01, 2021, 06:52:02 PM
Hello, are you willing to escrow. I’m selling a Revolut account for 135$
Sorry, I can't escrow such things.
2356  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Golddiamondminer.com Review For SCAM - I WAS SCAMMED on: August 01, 2021, 06:18:00 PM
The site is a complete ripoff from cryptoexperticonminers.com, another likely scam. They even forgot to remove the logo from their site  Grin
Great catch, but I strongly believe they're directly connected to one another since CryptoExpertIconMiners is using the exact template [e.g. check both of their "about and testimonials" sections] that "GoldDiamondMiner" also uses.
- IMO, this is one of those cases when one of their domains is reported, they'd move to the next one and continue the process until the next one is taken down as well.

In addition to that, I googled the address + the phone they've listed in their footer area and found the following websites as well:

2357  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: The EU are not going to ban "Anonymous" wallets on: August 01, 2021, 04:18:04 PM
also why Twitter is frequently misunderstood ...when people post too little on the subject, due to space restrictions.  Roll Eyes
You have a point but while I was checking the threaded tweets, none of them came close to hitting the limit.
- In other words, the blame should be on her or the person that was responsible for preparing it.

do you think a ban like this will be affective?
In what terms? If you meant in regards to misleading newcomers, then they would probably succeed to some extent but if you were referring to their ban against the so-called "anonymous crypto wallets", then there are no differences between what they're trying to achieve and what custodial services are already doing.
2358  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Square is considering making a hardware wallet for Bitcoin on: August 01, 2021, 02:36:27 PM
Compared that with Ledger that sold around 3 million devices so far, and Trezor who sold over 1 million devices (I can't find exact numbers) you see how high goal is set for Square with 100 million devices.
If you combine the active users of both Twitter and Square, their goal roughly equates to 2/5th of those userbases.
- IMO, it's a realistic goal [despite having huge respect for both Trezor and Ledger, if anyone can do it, it's them].
2359  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Looking for Used mining equipment on: August 01, 2021, 01:08:33 PM
Not sure if this is a genuine request since some of the parts don't make much sense; are you in need of 5 CPUs [you might want to specify it] or you're after accessories [e.g. Risers and etc...] to complete your mining rig?

Since your current setup doesn't involve ASIC miners, then I'd suggest first try the local computer shops around you [this way you don't have to deal with shipping fees].
2360  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [2021-07-30] Binance banned in Malaysia, given 14 days notice to shut down opera on: August 01, 2021, 11:30:35 AM
What did Binance do to endure all this regulatory pressure??
They have a habit of ignoring the warnings until they're left with no other choice but to comply.

I don't get  why they didn't act and instead choose to continue making profits.
Based on the first part of the following "tweet" by CZ, I have a feeling there might be internal issues in regards to how they should be handling such stuff.
