2281  Other / Archival / Re: [BIG LIST] Hardware wallets (80+) on: August 15, 2021, 07:54:27 PM
A couple more that are missing:

Changes:

  • The following hardware wallets belong to the "Not Purchasable" section:
    • KeyFort Lite C100 and KeyFort K300 [domain is for sale]
    • Crypto Ring [inaccessible website]
    • Secalot [suspended account]
    • KeyWallet Pro, KeyWallet Touch and KeyWallet Classic [inaccessible website]
    • Esecubit [inaccessible website]
    • Telx [inaccessible website]
    • Cobo Vault [deleted page]
    • LockBox [deleted page]
    • XZEN [closed]
  • The following hardware wallets have changed their links:
    • Keevo Model 1 - Link
    • Coldcard™ Mk3 - Link
  • Price update:
    • Lattice1 [$349]
  • Wrong image:
    • The picture you've included for "MIRkey", belongs to "eHSM" instead [link].
      - While you're at it, it'd be nice if you could re-upload all of the images that aren't showing up with a third-party website like "Imgur".
2282  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: ⭐️ VIRTUALSIM.CO ⭐️ INSTANT SMS VERIFICATION ⚡️ CHEAPEST ON SITE ⭐️ on: August 15, 2021, 01:24:23 PM
I checked some of the prices and they're indeed cheap, but the 15-minute expiration window is a bit too low [you'll have more customers if you could offer those for a longer period].

It was a bit weird that the only way to top-up an account, is through a third-party website that could "only" offer a set of predefined amounts [you might want to reconsider that part].
2283  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Forum moderation policy on: August 15, 2021, 11:24:59 AM
I want to create separate topics for each scam project!
Your best bet is to translate everything [English], prior to creating a thread in the "Scam Accusations" board.

And I don't want to create an ICO announce!
It's not just about "translated ICO announcements". Pay attention to the following highlighted parts:

  • It is prohibited to create translated ICO threads for Local Languages that don't have their own sub boards. Due to abuse, it is also prohibited for users to create threads outside of their Local Thread. This sub forum is for those languages that don't have a local board to have their own thread to discuss bitcoin in; it is not a place for account farmers and spammers to easily abuse campaigns. If you post threads outside of your own local thread you will be banned.

How can we have a sub-board for Persian?
Nobody knows [apart from @theymos] the exact requirements, but the short answer is to have more activity [as a whole] in your local thread.
2284  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Forum moderation policy on: August 15, 2021, 10:16:36 AM
I need to know where can I post some scam alerts in my local language.

Because local topic is closed for newbies!
Based on all of the "deleted threads", the appropriate thread [there's no sub-board yet] for your posts should be "فارسی (Persian)".
- You can post in your local thread, but you're not allowed to create a separate thread on that board: Do not create threads or post translated ICO Announcements in here
2285  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Asicminers.shop SCAM Website Review on: August 15, 2021, 08:44:25 AM
it happens to me folks now Sad
~Snipped~
try to resell China alibaba stuff.
Just to be clear, you're saying they have a store on Alibaba as well?
- You might want to include a link to their store.

the last one paid for asic miners 7500 USD, then I earn 10% so I cut this for me and the rest I bought this from the supplier in China.
I paid as well my customer btc, now 12 days and China guy not answering,
Why would you try to sell a product that's not in your possession?
- It doesn't make sense.

I am now in debt against my customer who wants of course his money back Sad

what to do ?
You have no other choice but to refund [from your own pocket] your customer.

can coinbase reverse the money I have paid to china guy so I can refund my client?
They can't [it's irreversible] and there's little to no chance that the amount in question, is still in Coinbase [unfortunately].
2286  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Three laptops for sale! Excellent working condition and they run great! on: August 15, 2021, 06:18:42 AM
Please ignore the trust ratings on my account as they are not valid.
Yeah, right! Roll Eyes In case you didn't know, there are reference links for each of those ratings and even if you've edited some of your posts, we could still access the unedited version [thanks to a couple of users that archive every single post almost instantly].

I will also give you my personal phone number and/or email to communicate, so we do not have to use Escrow.
None of those ensures the safety of buyers!

I would like to avoid using Escrow due to miscommunications where funds can get held up if there was a scam to occur
~Snipped~
I do not want to use escrow as there is still a chance for me to be scammed
The whole point in using an escrow service is to make sure both of the involved parties are safe [not just one of them].

and if not I can always verify my personal information with you to insure that I am not a scammer
Unfortunately, it's not that hard to fake those!

I would prefer you to just the payment to me
Anything else? Roll Eyes

and if I sell 100 of these laptops through escrow there is bound to be a few people who say the laptops are damaged, not working, not as described, etc.
In case you forgot, you only have three laptops!

In regards to other nonsense things, it's not worth the trouble/risk.
2287  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Argentine President sees no reason to oppose Bitcoin adoption on: August 14, 2021, 04:51:15 PM
Unfortunately, that's just another article with a misleading headline... The part where he said "there's no reason to say no" was meant for their own CBDC, not BTCitcoin!

The head of state believes that the use of bitcoin can neutralize the effects of inflation.
I didn't like the fact that he pointed to both BTCitcoin and their own CBDC [if there'll be any], as a way to indirectly tackle issues surrounding inflation.
- Clearly, he doesn't want to go with a route [direct approach] that happens to be a lot easier [SMH].
2288  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2021-14-08] Elliptic discovers site that checks how "clean" digital coins are on: August 14, 2021, 02:44:38 PM
If anyone is interested in checking it out, the onion link is here: pdcdvggsz5vhzbtxqn2rh27qovzga4pnrygya4ossewu64dqh2tvhsyd.onion
Thank you for providing that link [for some reason I couldn't find it earlier].

Found a "link" with a bit more information:

  • By the look of things, Antinalysis is using the "AMLBot's API" and they're actually a reseller for "Crystal Blockchain".
    - Fun fact: AMLBot is cheaper than Antinalysis.
2289  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: [List] Gift cards providers on: August 14, 2021, 12:55:44 PM
Are there any gift card sellers in the Philippines, I only saw in the OP, US and CA so I was curious if there's one available in my country. Hopefully, a Steam Gift Card or an Amazon can at least be available, don't really want to get out of my house to buy Steam gift cards due to pandemic.
Yes, there are plenty of gift cards for the Philippines in both "Bitrefill" and "Coinsbee [select PH as its region]".
- None of them had one for Amazon PH [not sure if it exists] but both of them have gift cards for Steam PH.

I'd suggest checking other providers as well.
2290  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: 🔴 [ F R E E ] 🔴 ONECRYPTO.NEWS on: August 14, 2021, 12:01:10 PM
YouTube channels are planned.
The following links would come in handy:

So I decided to make some automatized stuff what makes my life easier.
Do you have a system in place to get rid of duplicate/similar results?
- That's bound to happen if you keep on adding more sources.

Suggestions:

  • A feature that would allow your readers to eliminate some of the sources from appearing on the pages.
  • A dark mode.
2291  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: Looking for Investor for Crypto Business on: August 14, 2021, 10:08:42 AM
My idea is to make use of the money you provide to make enough money to not only make me a profit but be able to pay off your principal and interest within 3 years.
~Snipped~
I have an idea that will guarantee that I can run a proper and genuine business
An idea of a future income is never going to work in your favor [a lot could go wrong].

My Requirement:
Looks like you completely forgot about the lender itself. You have to list what type of collateral you can provide before they would even consider your loan request.

Anywhere above 10 BTC will enable me to reach my goals, the more there is, the faster it can be but anything more than 50 BTC I think is not going to help, Thanks.
~Snipped~
just need a smart lender/investor
IMHO, you need someone to be the exact opposite of smart, to lend a complete stranger [with no reputation] that much!

You might want to read the following post: What is considered collateral?
2292  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: vareole is a scammer ... on: August 13, 2021, 05:06:13 PM
I know it's my own fault
It looks like you were not registered on this forum [based on your registered date and time], prior to the incident but regardless of that, how you didn't notice the big red warning [at the top of the page] on all of @vareole's threads?
- Btw, sorry for your loss.

For what it's worth  , I have ALL screenshots of the TG chat before he deleted them and blocked me ...
Please upload those using a third-party website like "imgur".

It's basically a hall pass for every scammer to just not allow anyone of their victims to post on their thread ...
I completely understand your frustration but that was already a red flag [you should avoid "any seller" that uses that type of thread].
- Read his/her "Trust summary" page.

makes me think the mods are in it too ...
They're not but unfortunately, scams aren't moderated in here.

You might want to move this thread to the "Scam Accusations" instead [move button is in the bottom left corner of the page].
- Use the following "Scam Report Format" to update/edit your first post.
2293  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Reeee: Does Bitcoin exist? on: August 13, 2021, 03:11:22 PM
@NotATether
Great blog post, I'm sure I'll be using it as a reference in the future [bookmarked] Wink
- It's Bitcoin Magazine's loss [the same goes for Coinfomania].

Just to address the question in the subject field and some of the parts you've quoted in your second post [without going into details], the fact that most of the governments and central banks are scared of it and probably know that their days are numbered [referring to banks], should be more than enough to show that it does exist and it's far more valuable than the traditional systems.
2294  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Rock Legend Gene Simmons Says He's "All In" on Bitcoin on: August 13, 2021, 12:06:01 PM
Not gonna lie, I enjoyed every bit of that interview, but the BTCitcoin part on the subject field of that article is a bit misleading. I do know it focuses more on BTCitcoin but there was also a part that he mentioned having or rather investing in 14 cryptocurrencies.
  • Having said that, I didn't enjoy seeing that he's putting everything into cryptocurrencies. Someone has to educate him that's not the "proper" way of diversifying [most of the other cryptocurrencies simply follow BTCitcoin (with the exception of a few)].

BTW, the part where he tried to explain what "hodler [0:55]" means, made me laugh so hard Cheesy
2295  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Are there any wallets like the Exodus wallet that allow staking crypto? on: August 13, 2021, 10:07:17 AM
Ledger Live
Does it also come with a Tor switch button, like what we get on the Trezor Suite?

and I am not sure if they have staking feature.
Unfortunately, it doesn't have one but looks like there might be a workaround for Trezor devices [the second link @Charles-Tim posted, but it doesn't tick all the boxes].

I guess there is no way to know what info exodus or other software wallets keep on you?
The following links might come in handy:

- Despite seeing most of them give you an idea in regards to what type of information they'll store, I don't think there's an easy way to verify it [unfortunately].
2296  Local / Pamilihan / Re: face 2 face transaction in Manila on: August 13, 2021, 07:55:00 AM
I have Monero/Bitcoins, and want to sell through face 2 face transaction in cash.
We can meet in a Bank and we can start with a small transaction to establish trust. I can sell up to 1,000,000 PHP.
Can you sign a message or messages to prove you have that much in your possession?

I dont have Passport for the following 6 months. Seems I need to wait.
I'm not a Binance user but based on my observation, for those that would prefer to go through the intermediate verification process [higher limits], normally they'd get another option for using other government IDs [apart from passport].
- I remember someone created a thread about using Binance from a different country and IIRC, some of the users mentioned they didn't encounter any problem [not sure if they were from the US or not] but regardless of that, contact their support before doing it.

  • In addition to those, I think you can even work with being a basic verified [doesn't require any document] user on that platform:
    • Daily withdrawal limit of 0.06BTC = Roughly 140k PHP
    • 1M / 140k = 7.14 days [time it takes to withdraw everything]
2297  Bitcoin / Armory / Re: Armory-like Ethereum Wallet on: August 12, 2021, 05:29:25 PM
as my primary focus is security.
~Snipped~
its not trustless from my point of view
hence security must be close to 100%
Regardless of you plugging in a hardware wallet into your computer [specifically referring to your second PC] or not, there's still no guarantee that it's going to be or remain 100% [or close to a hundred] safe.
- IMO, your best bet is to go with @bitmover's suggestion and use a hardware wallet like Trezor instead.

When you create your wallet, you receive a seed (24 words)
IIRC, for the Trezor Model T, it's 12 words by default [128 bits].
2298  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Cryptominer-shop.com Review for SCAM website | SCAMMERS | STAY AWAY | on: August 12, 2021, 03:40:16 PM
Thank you again.
Every time I get support from you, it makes me feel good about what I do!
You're very welcome and I'm glad that I could have that sort of impact Smiley

And what led you to https://ethereum-miners.com ?
I took the stolen image from their footer area, then I uploaded that SS to google and it led to the above result.

They are acting like the other group of scammers:
~Snipped~
Exactly! I wouldn't be surprised if the same scammer is also responsible for the creation of the above two websites.
2299  Economy / Gambling / Re: 👱‍♀️ Mummy's Ultimate Crypto List on: August 12, 2021, 07:09:58 AM
@Stakefast
In addition to the bug @Pmalek [repetitive results] reported, there's another one that doesn't allow for icons/logos to scale up normally on each of the pop-up pages that have descriptions.
- When clicking the information button [red one], there's a big empty white space with only a small icon/logo inside of it.

Under the "Hardware Wallet" category, you've listed "Ledger Nano X", but it leads to a page that basically sells "Ledger Nano S" instead [you might want to rename that part].
