3221  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the future of Bitcoin? on: January 03, 2018, 12:30:39 PM
I see bitcoin 20 years from now is the fastest and growing bitcoin as you can see bitcoin from nowadays its market value is getting increase right now. And bitcoin will never stop as soon as to be legal. As you can see bitcoin is more convenient since its a hassle free you dont have to to any branch just to pay your bills.

I agree. It has shown a glimpse of what could possibly happen in the future in the way it surged just two months ago. Bitcoin, or cryptocurrency in general, has a very high potential to make the market more vibrant and active. It gives people more options to pay for services and goods, being that it is a currency to begin with. It has also showed that it can also be a medium of investment and trade; there are not so many market players that can play different roles and be successful at it. It is a good way for bitcoin to be known, and not the negative things that people have been told about it, wherein some are generally false.
3222  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Litecoin $3k by Summer 2018? on: January 03, 2018, 12:01:06 PM
Litecoin price today is $200 and for sure it will increase the price of this coin possible to become thousands dollar price after few months. So better if you buy litecoin now and possible you will rich in the futute if you choose this coin.  Many people become rich because litecoin the price is very cheap and after few years the price is hundreds dollars.  Litecoin have very bright future and Im happy that I have that.

I think there is a possibility with that price point to be reached. However, what I don't agree with is the time frame you gave it to rise up. As it is mentioned in the above-stated reply, the amount of LTC at the moment is 200 dollars, therefore, if you are gunning for a 3k mark increase only until summer, which leaves you around four months. It would be quite impossible for LTC to catch fire that quickly and up its value that high. I mean, even bitcoin took sometime before it has surged its value significantly, what more with an altcoin. It may be one of the strongest and up-coming at the moment, but there are still several conditions it must meet for it to increase significantly.
3223  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can bitcoins become worthless? on: January 03, 2018, 11:41:59 AM
For me possibly to yes. History is littered with currencies that failed and are no longer used, such as the German Mark during the Weimar Republic and, more recently, the Zimbabwean dollar. Although previous currency failures were typically due to hyperinflation of a kind that Bitcoin makes impossible, there is always potential for technical failures, competing currencies, political issues and so on. As a basic rule of thumb, no currency should be considered absolutely safe from failures or hard times. Bitcoin has proven reliable for years since its inception and there is a lot of potential for Bitcoin to continue to grow. However, no one is in a position to predict what the future will be for Bitcoin.

It surely can, and I think, in the bitcoin market, everything is possible. There was a time when bitcoin was just a little over a dollar in value, and during that time, many people think that it won't prosper, but look at it now. If we would also follow the previous trends, there were times when bitcoin price have decreased significantly due to market breakdown and forks. Another contributory factor is if people would actually stop supporting the cryptocurrency market, specifically bitcoin. If no one would support it and do transactions with, then it will surely be its doom.
3224  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I all in,how about U?! on: January 03, 2018, 11:25:45 AM
Thats a risky move, between if you are confident with the coin and you are sure this will give you x100 or even more, high risk higher rewards.

I agree. I think you have balls of steel mate (Whether you're a girl or a guy). It's so difficult to actually invest everything in something that, even if it has the potential to climb up and yield good profit, would still amount to a loss. As they say, the cryptocurrency market is a high-risk-high-reward kind of market, that if you really trust your gut on your deals, then it's go for broke, I guess. I personally can't do it that way because even if I know the risks, I am more of a calculated risk taker, plus I can't afford to lose all my assets if ever it fails because I have bills to pay.  Grin
3225  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is the safer Wallet on: January 03, 2018, 11:11:21 AM
MyEtherWallet[1] itself is safe to use. But it depends on how safe your device is, if you have malware on your device that could possibly steal your keys, then you're f**ked anyway, regardless of what wallet service you use. That's why it's always suggested to purchase a hardware wallet like Trezor[2] and Ledger nano S[3]; it's miles and miles safer.

[1] https://myetherwallet.com    <--- bookmark this. There are phishing sites that could appear if you just simply google "myetherwallet".
[2] https://trezor.io
[3] https://ledgerwallet.com

Good list. These are three of the most used wallets in the cryptocurrency market. However, the arguable number one is MyEtherWallet. I think since you asked about its safety, I can say that it is. The site and wallet offers a lot of code encryption that could help protect your holdings. However, despite that security feature, it is one of the wallets that are very easy and not confusing to use. It can also hold many different types of coins and tokens, which is a good because you won't have to have so many different addresses for different coins. The only thing you have to remember here is to keep your wallet address safe and not give it out blatantly to anyone.
3226  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ripple Price Prediction for 2018 on: January 03, 2018, 10:55:50 AM
At the end of 2018 I think #RIPPLE/ XRP will touch 50$ USD value because it has good project for lolong run and their technology is very good and fast than other Alts coin.
Although I agree that the price will rise significantly, 50 dollars would be a bit much at the end of 2018 don't you think? Tongue That's another fenomenal jump in value after this year already. On the other hand, if those household names are finally announced, we could be going higher up much faster!

I think that it will experience a good pump and price increase in the next year. Many people has been shifting focus on Ripple as those up-and-coming altcoins in the market right now. Like other altcoins trends in the past, that focus may lead to increased trades and investments that hopefully would contribute in increasing its value. However, for it to reach 50 dollars, there is a need to have so many positive investments and trades to happen first because there is a lot of ground to cover, considering that right now, it's only around the $3 dollar mark.
3227  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think Bitcoin will survive after 100 year ? on: January 03, 2018, 10:40:08 AM
Regardless of what bitcoin's fiat worth is there will always be enough to go around as 1 bitcoin is divisible many, many decimals/values. For this reason I say yes bitcoin will be around in 100 years. The only question is if it is still profitable for miners but I presume it will be, maybe somebody could clarify this.

It could still be profitable to miners. Some of the things I have read state that there will be so many people using and transacting with it that the fees will be really really low, but will make up for it.

It is also possible that if miners drop out or cannot profit the difficulty could go down.

100 years from now though I would Imagine BTC has Hardforked multiple more times and people are using different versions. I think they would just use the BC altcoins and use a service like shapeshift to conver if they need to buy someting from somewhere that doesn't take that BTC altcoin.

the interesting thing is that HF may be useful in decreasing network hashrate. If more and more hashrate goes into other BTC altcoin clones/Hardforks it would be interesting to see how that plays out.

First off, why would you think so far ahead. I mean 100 years is still so far ahead that whatever happenings that would probably take place in the moment in time, won't even have as small as a ripple on what is happening to us now. But to answer the question, I think it can survive, but with the support of the people and the continued dissemination of knowledge, and continued use and patronage of people. If all these factors would converge, it would contribute to the continued existence of bitcoin or cryptocurrency, in general.
3228  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is 1000 btc Possible on: January 03, 2018, 10:05:00 AM
Is it possible to earn 1000 or atleast 100 bitcoins with trading Altcoins. If I buy some bitcoin at cheaper rate today and it's price goes up in future?Which alt you think has potential to make me 1000 btc

I think this can be a hard question to answer. First off, it would be very difficult to invest in altcoins with the aim to gain bitcoins with it. The difficulty is due to the fact that bitcoin is the one with the higher value, and you would need to cover a lot of ground to make up for the price difference of what you're investing at with what you want to get as an end result. I think for it to be possible to rack up 1000 btc from altcoin investment, you need to hold tens and thousands of altcoins, and not just the new ones, but the ones with the better price points amongst the masses of altcoins in the market.
3229  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your Lucky moments during gambling? on: January 02, 2018, 03:00:37 PM
Well this happened with a friend of mine twice, he is just a one lucky fellow. He is one of those yolo gamblers. He mostly gambles on sports, anyway first time it happened was in South Africa vs Pakistan series where Pakistan was out of the match and they won in the last 2 overs, one by Junaid khan and another with saeed ajmal. His bet was around 2000 dollars on that match and Pakistan won that series. Same kind of stuff happened in the srilanka vs Pakistan t20 match, Pakistan won when they were i think 40/5.

He has won too many bets in these situations, my question is have anyone else experienced this kind of luck while they were gambling?

I think my lucky gambling moments are mostly composed of lucky bets that should realistically amount to a loss, but in ended up winning. I am not an avid gambler; however, I don't like gambling that has zero chances of being played with. I like those gambling platforms that I can at least think of my probability and possibility of winning instead of just betting at something and praying that it would turn out great for me.
3230  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Altcoins are dying !!! on: January 02, 2018, 02:06:44 PM
just woke up on this massive dump !

what do you think it's causing this ? and do you think this is the best time to buy ? or it will dump even more   Shocked

There is no dump going on. Unless you are referring to some crappy coins, not even worth mentioning. The major ones, the real ones, the solid ones are generally experiencing a value rise accompanying the rise of BTC fiat value.

I agree. Right now, many altcoin developers are pumping the value of their coins and increasing the available market cap. That is actually helping their coins recuperate from the recent negative effects brought about bitcoin's price surge last few months. I have been reading many good stuff about LTC, Waves, Dash, and other altcoins around the market, which is fairly opposite of what this post is trying to show. I think it's just market movement and good timing that you saw most altcoins going down in value. I believe it will be better.
3231  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum will overtake Bitcoin on: January 02, 2018, 01:52:51 PM
There are absolutely 0 chances for ETH to take over BTC. After all these ICO's cooldown the marketcap of Ethereum will drop down dramatically. It's not even the best platform for tokens anymore, the blockchain constantly gets clogged. There are far better platforms for tokens nowadays and people will figure that out soon. Go do some research before talking about things that you have no clue about.

What a harsh answer, but somehow, I agree. I think even if Eth is one of the strongest altcoins around with a promising value that would take the same path as bitcoin took during it's starting stages. There is no crypto around that would really have that massive push to overtake bitcoin. For right now, the price point is way different. Also, more and more people are beginning to recognize bitcoin, and it would take them some time to explore other facets of the cryptocurrency market such as altcoins.
3232  Economy / Economics / Re: Are electric cars bad for the oil industry? on: January 02, 2018, 01:37:03 PM
Those in the oil industry must know that they are working with a finite resource, however the price will fluctuate wildly but the long term trend is up. It's just whether all the current systems that run on oil can be converted to other power sources before it runs out. Oil will be fine for a while, it's in a glut right now but that can tighten right up any day.

That's right. Even oil companies right now are exploring ways to try to prolong the use of oil through mixing their fuel with other additives, so it won't be composed in totality of converted fuel. Another thing is even if it would actually hurt the oil industry, it won't be much because there are still lots of cars in the market today. There are so many vehicles that the supply of fuel and electric cars are even not enough to sufficiently support the demand. It's just a matter of what options people would better choose in their cars, some like fuel because it's easier to find, while others want to support the green movement and switch to electric cars.
3233  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your strategy in trading on: January 02, 2018, 01:22:57 PM
What is your strategy in trading? When you buy any alt coin how long do you hold and on what percentage you sell it?

I think there is no sure-fire or concrete answer to this question. Since you operated on the term "strategy", it means that it could change depending on the landscape, movement and trend of the market you are following. I think most people would give their own workable percentage on which part to invest for bitcoin, major altcoins, and newer altcoins. That could work; however, you should also consider how much profit you would want to get plus the amount of investment you are willing to use. Another aspect to consider is the time frame you would want to invest, if it's short or long term. Those aspects would guide you on how you should play your trades.
3234  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Would it be legal to create new crypto? on: January 02, 2018, 01:05:29 PM
I guess no, you will not be arrested and as what as you said bitcoin is not illegal in your country so how will you jail and who will do it for you. There are so many cryptocurrencies now and I guess there's not even one got in jailed because of creating some new cryptocurrency

I think it's not always a negative, I mean, it definitely is illegal if you would make your own cryptocurrency in a country where it's not legal to do so; however, if you would make them in country that accepts it, then its not illegal per se. Come to consider that ICOs are being introduced everyday, and they basically introduce a new altcoinc which is a form of cryptocurrency as well. They use it as a means to pay transactions in their companies or programs; they also use it as rewards and payments to people who join in their projects. In that sense, it is not illegal to make your own crypto, given that it is allowed.
3235  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Banks adopting Blockchain dramatically faster than expected on: January 02, 2018, 12:51:27 PM
I guess this is one of the reasons XRP has been running so good lately. But as far as I know not that many banks are using the XRP token but thaty are basing their system on the Ripple technology. Then I think they are developing their on token. Or that is the impression I have gotten anyway.

Either way, banking is a huge market for the BlockChain technology so I don't see XRP going down any time soon.

Maybe that's one contributor for them to accept it. However, I would say that it has been a long time coming. Entities, like banks, are always alert in any investment probability they can assert themselves into because that's basically how a bank would make revenue. It would be easier for them to gain profit if they would invest in something booming. Cryptocurrency has been there for years; however, many banks are choosing not to invest on it just yet because of the fact that it is not like any currencies around. I think many banks right now are starting to try their hand into the cryptocurrency market because they have already proved its legitimacy despite being somewhat new and different.
3236  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will we see Bitcoin fall in 2018? on: January 02, 2018, 12:35:15 PM
Just because ripple gain some bucks and left Ethereum behind in the market cap, We cant predict bitcoin isiver, what bitcoin has to do with ripple gain? Bitcoin's price decrease was the correction of the price and the dumping came due to the holidays, Its quite natural when a currency peaked it price people start selling it and buy other currencies because they ant to make money of it. Thats what they did with the bitcoin.

I agree. Although altcoins, have their effects on how the market plays, it doesn't have that much profound effects on bitcoin. As much as there are increasing in cap and value pumps happening with some major altcoins in the market, it doesn't suggest or lead that bitcoin will fall because bitcoin still commands the highest value amongst all coins in the market. Also, bitcoin is still the most recognized cryptocurrency around that can't be easily trampled with by any other altcoin even if they are the strong altcoins so to speak.
3237  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Top 2 altcoins to invest in NOW. on: January 02, 2018, 12:20:37 PM
Im currently invested heavily into bitcoin, waves, and shift.

what are 3 good altcoins to look into that will see great return within the next 3-6 months.

Monero, Monero, Monero.

Originally I would probably say Dash and Monero, but Dash has already had its run two weeks ago Dash would pause at current level for some time before advancing again. But Monero! Monero is still lacking behind BTC but a lot and if you look at its history you could be guaranteed its price would only rise against USD, very quickly, for sure!

I think those are good choices too. However, I have seen many improvements with how their respective developers are doing for Waves and sumokoin. I am not sure if it will prosper for a long time and if the pump they are doing would continue to help propel the value of their coins, but at least, as an investor, you can be comfortable in the fact that they have an active developer community that would prevent their coins to just die off.
3238  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should I hold BTC 0.05 for future ? on: December 30, 2017, 10:29:22 PM
I would suggest you to hold the coins because I too have some coins awaiting for future. Now the price is dumping these recent days, but i am sure it will pump back soon in future. Perhaps a single satoshi might be worth a dollar in future so at that time, 0.05 btc would be a good amount. Bitcoins truely have the potential to make an individual financially stable. But please HOLD if you wish to do so, i am not insisting anyone to HOLD their coins

I would too. I mean the amount is not so much to bring you anywhere in terms of profit, but you should also consider to the amount you got it for. If you see that the value of bitcoin would continue to plummet lower than the amount you got it for, I think that can be a consideration to sell to at least mitigate your loss. However, if you would see it as an investment, it would be better to hold on to it, because surely, there would come a time where bitcoin would again rise in terms of price.
3239  Other / Politics & Society / Re: do you believe in your government? on: December 29, 2017, 08:38:08 PM
I have been believe in government as government is the reason why we are living together peacefully.

I agree. That is the most peaceful way to live, plus I think that if you leave in a country, you don't have a better choice but to support your government because it's never good to live in your own land while leaving miserably when you have to think of so many things that you don't like because of the actions done by your government. I think that a government that is supported by its people has more chances of succeeding in meeting the expectations of its people and the plans it has for it the people and the country.
3240  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: will Altcoins Survive on: December 29, 2017, 08:03:53 PM
Majority of them won't survive. A lot of alts are backed by weak technology and people looking for a quick buck. However, there are some gems out there that will stay around for sure. If the technology is good, the alt will be around. The underlying technology will be the determining factor.

I think the same as the above-stated reply. Many altcoins would not survive especially because bitcoin is making a run that really affects most altcoins negatively. Also, if the developers would not do something about and just leave their coins in waiting or hanging, then that would surely spell the peril and death for their altcoin. I think there will be some that will survive because altcoins bring vibrancy and action to the market; a market is not healthy when only one player is controlling its movement.
