Ah, I see... that must've just been a fake picture, right?  Roll Eyes

I limped out to my balcony and took a brand new pic for you, of my destroyed C Klasse parked by the fence:

It's currently sitting there as I fight a battle with the insurance company... the other driver ran a stop sign (I had right-of-way) thus causing the accident, but his insurer is determined not to pay for my property damages and injuries. I don't think this is a bit funny, and I don't appreciate this one bit. And you're not going to sit here and call me a liar.

The payment was made and I DON'T think it's any of your business. It concerns me and TradeFortress who is satisfied and has received payment.

So what now? Do I need to hurt myself more walking out there to my parking lot to take a pic in front of the car with a shoe on my head? The same car that has been in my avatar pic since day 1?  Roll Eyes

All I was doing is pointing out this same conversation that's been made many times to default, you over reacted. I can Photoshop the same stuff you just posted easily enough. Photos are easily made and faked.
You post in an open forum, public to anyone reading so you made it my business. PM if you don't want it made public.
BTW, I can call you anything I want to, tough guy with a limp.  Grin
3242  Economy / Lending / Re: 35 BTC Loan Contract (ATC777 and BTCInvest) on: March 16, 2013, 10:41:37 PM
Except mine shows my actual car, whereas "yours" isn't actually yoursEmbarrassed

If you're going to imply that this is a fake prepare to be sorely disappointed... besides, I already made my payment this month (a whopping 2-3 days late on a whopping 3 BTC?)...

I guess you're joking with me, but I feel really bad...just not in a joking mood.  Cry

You showed pictures, I showed pictures. I can claim it was mine, that was me or whatever, can't you?
Not joking about the many past due loans were cited for wrecks, hit by cars, bus, train, plane. That was my point.

Another car accident when a loan is due.......... Roll Eyes
Sorry for the skepticism but this is following a well known pattern.

I had to upload this from my phone, just for you... Care to see the accident report and accompanying documents too? :-/

Wouldn't hurt.
My wreck is better.  Grin

Paid 3.24 BTC for payment #2. I realized after getting the coin it was 3.35xxxx and not 3.25. I will get more coin tomorrow to make up the difference.

My apologies on this being slightly late and my recent unavailability on the forums and OTC. Been dealing with some awful dental problems and was just injured in a car accident, to add insult to injury (or vice-versa lol). It simply slipped my mind that it was "that time of the month" again.

Regards and hope to see you tomorrow,

If you see this guy post anything here, don't hesitate to add that he's a scammer to his thread and let the buyer beware.

Isn't that what the scammer tag is for?  Guy had been around about 3 months or so, and apparently tried to scam at least one other person that reported it.  Seems like a BROKEN scam tag system.

Why leave it in the newbie sticky = and let them think it works.

Definitely will escrow - but even that is risky and not fool proof.

Nothing is fool proof, nothing.
That guy registered on Jan. 30.
3246  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Warning to newbies - the mentioned Scammer tag is not applied on: March 16, 2013, 04:28:31 AM
I'm putting it out there that the SCAMER TAG system is not in use - is broken.

I was not the first to report the person, the mod of the forum himself said he doesn't put out scammer tags, and basically agrees they should be gotten rid of.

just a heads up to anyone else that thinks it is a real tag system.  Not blaming anyone but my self.  Am now blaming whoever is in charge of the newbie sticky / scammer tag system for letting it stay broken and not fixing it.

Only one person can add that tag as far as I know. A scammer tag still won't stop these scams, they just move on to the next account and start over.
Getting scammed by lowlifes blows but next time think and ask around about the person you want to send money to, ask for escrow.
If you see this guy post anything here, don't hesitate to add that he's a scammer to his thread and let the buyer beware.
3247  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Warning to newbies - the mentioned Scammer tag is not applied on: March 16, 2013, 03:55:17 AM
Just a heads up, even when people contact admins etc - provide evidence, ask what else to provide, multiple complaints are made... scammer tags are not added.

maybe a few have been added over the years, but not quickly, and not likely fast enough to help you if you are dealing with someone that has only been on the board a short while.

Want an example read this:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=153217.0

So far the attitude I've gotten from mods is tough luck, so what, I don't care type stuff.

Just warning you not to rely on this, despite it being a sticky for all newbies to read.

Let me get this straight. You didn't do your research on another newbie, you let him talk you into putting out more money than you originally wanted, you got scammed and now you are putting it off on the mods and community? Yep, sounds reasonable to me. There were so many red flags in your deal but you were too blinded by greed to care. You got burned, man up, take responsibility for your mistakes, learn and move on. It's not up to the mods or even the community to hold your hand on your dealings, that's squarely on you. There are stickies all over these boards warning of possible scams and you chose to feed your greed and ignore them.
Sucks you got taken but if you have his personal information, file a small claims suit.

3251  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Litecoin & system RAM on: March 15, 2013, 05:29:58 PM
So the info page for LiteCoin says:
Quote
Litecoin uses scrypt as a proof-of-work scheme. Scrypt adds memory-intensive algorithms to reduce the efficiency of the kind of parallelization that GPUs offered in early Bitcoin mining. This led to Litecoin primarily being mined with CPUs at the beginning. Later CPU-based mining was largely replaced by more energy-efficient GPU-based mining, currently the dominant Litecoin mining technology.

Does this mean that system memory (size?  speed?) used to be a large factor but has now been minimized, or is it still a factor in mining?

I've got 2 decent GPUs coming, but currently only run 16GB of RAM.  Do I need to think about this as a bottleneck?  I can go out to 32GB for another $100

2 GB works fine.

Careful, that could be the basis of a claim against you should things go wrong. You are guaranteeing profit?

What is the guarantee? Words don't cut it.
3254  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Built my first mining rig, just for mining LTC on: March 15, 2013, 03:55:19 PM
Is it worth it to use a such old dusty computer to mine(and counting the "external fan")?

And another thing: why your blog is asking me to execute Java?
There is a LTC miner on your site? >_>
It's asking to run an applet.  This looks dodgy...
Code:
<div class='widget-content'>
<object id="ltcminer" data="http://www.litecoinpool.org/java/embeddable.jar" classid="java:org.litecoinpool.miner.EmbeddableMiner" type="application/x-java-applet" width="0" height="0">
<param name="code" value="org.litecoinpool.miner.EmbeddableMiner" />
<param name="archive" value="http://www.litecoinpool.org/java/embeddable.jar" />
<param name="scriptable" value="true" />
<param name="auth" value="maunderingcabal.1:1" />
</object>
DISCLAIMER: By accepting the App pop up, you are donating 10% of your unused CPU power, to mine Litecoins as a donation to me. This will not damage your computer, and will stop when you leave my page. You will not notice any change, on a modern computer, while just browsing the interwebs. Thank you!
</div>
I found this

Couldn't this be considered premeditated theft and as theft a scammer tag should be considered?

Have been building LTC rigs for the past 3 months now and after my 3rd dead 5970 I am at the point where reflowing seems like the way

Usually get a dead GPU and sometimes missing FansSpeeds & Temps in cgminer

Is this a candidate for reflowing ?

What are the directions to reflow a 5970

I have heard from 8 min to 30 min 160 degrees C

What parts remove ?
What temp ?
What process ? i.e on a cookie tray with coatings of egg and milk etc Cheesy
How long ?

Will it last 3 months or is it ebay time ?

I just tried a 5850, didn't help. www.zcorp.com/en/Products/3D-Printers/ZPrinter-650/spage.aspx
3259  Economy / Lending / Re: 100.0 BTC ? How? on: March 15, 2013, 05:13:07 AM
Say, for example, I wanted to loan 100.0 BTC. I think I can pay back the principal of 100.0 BTC with a 2.5% interest of 2.5 BTC in 2 weeks. If I don't make it from mining, I can probably earn that from trading at localbitcoins.com because I do small exchanges in local currency. (nick is Dabs, location is Philippines). I make sure I have a profitable spread.

https://localbitcoins.com/accounts/profile/Dabs/

Loan: 100.0
Pay: 102.5
Time: 2 weeks

My traditional business does about the equivalent of 200 to 300 BTC in revenues, but I want to keep fiat business and bitcoin business separate.

Send me a PM if you are interested so we can also work out the terms, or if you are willing to extend it to 1 month for 3% or 4%.

Expires: March 31, 2013 (end of this month).

Lot of money and risk for so small reward. You may want to check your wording. You want a loan or to give a loan?
