I limped out to my balcony and took a brand new pic for you, of my destroyed C Klasse parked by the fence:  It's currently sitting there as I fight a battle with the insurance company... the other driver ran a stop sign (I had right-of-way) thus causing the accident, but his insurer is determined not to pay for my property damages and injuries. I don't think this is a bit funny, and I don't appreciate this one bit. And you're not going to sit here and call me a liar. The payment was made and I DON'T think it's any of your business. It concerns me and TradeFortress who is satisfied and has received payment. So what now? Do I need to hurt myself more walking out there to my parking lot to take a pic in front of the car with a shoe on my head? The same car that has been in my avatar pic since day 1? All I was doing is pointing out this same conversation that's been made many times to default, you over reacted. I can Photoshop the same stuff you just posted easily enough. Photos are easily made and faked. You post in an open forum, public to anyone reading so you made it my business. PM if you don't want it made public. If you're going to imply that this is a fake prepare to be sorely disappointed... besides, I already made my payment this month (a whopping 2-3 days late on a whopping 3 BTC?)... If you see this guy post anything here, don't hesitate to add that he's a scammer to his thread and let the buyer beware.
Isn't that what the scammer tag is for? Guy had been around about 3 months or so, and apparently tried to scam at least one other person that reported it. Seems like a BROKEN scam tag system. Why leave it in the newbie sticky = and let them think it works. Definitely will escrow - but even that is risky and not fool proof. Nothing is fool proof, nothing. That guy registered on Jan. 30. |

I'm putting it out there that the SCAMER TAG system is not in use - is broken.
I was not the first to report the person, the mod of the forum himself said he doesn't put out scammer tags, and basically agrees they should be gotten rid of.
just a heads up to anyone else that thinks it is a real tag system. Not blaming anyone but my self. Am now blaming whoever is in charge of the newbie sticky / scammer tag system for letting it stay broken and not fixing it.
Only one person can add that tag as far as I know. A scammer tag still won't stop these scams, they just move on to the next account and start over. Getting scammed by lowlifes blows but next time think and ask around about the person you want to send money to, ask for escrow. If you see this guy post anything here, don't hesitate to add that he's a scammer to his thread and let the buyer beware. |

Just a heads up, even when people contact admins etc - provide evidence, ask what else to provide, multiple complaints are made... scammer tags are not added. maybe a few have been added over the years, but not quickly, and not likely fast enough to help you if you are dealing with someone that has only been on the board a short while. Just warning you not to rely on this, despite it being a sticky for all newbies to read. Let me get this straight. You didn't do your research on another newbie, you let him talk you into putting out more money than you originally wanted, you got scammed and now you are putting it off on the mods and community? Yep, sounds reasonable to me. There were so many red flags in your deal but you were too blinded by greed to care. You got burned, man up, take responsibility for your mistakes, learn and move on. It's not up to the mods or even the community to hold your hand on your dealings, that's squarely on you. There are stickies all over these boards warning of possible scams and you chose to feed your greed and ignore them. Sucks you got taken but if you have his personal information, file a small claims suit. |

So the info page for LiteCoin says: Litecoin uses scrypt as a proof-of-work scheme. Scrypt adds memory-intensive algorithms to reduce the efficiency of the kind of parallelization that GPUs offered in early Bitcoin mining. This led to Litecoin primarily being mined with CPUs at the beginning. Later CPU-based mining was largely replaced by more energy-efficient GPU-based mining, currently the dominant Litecoin mining technology.
Does this mean that system memory (size? speed?) used to be a large factor but has now been minimized, or is it still a factor in mining? I've got 2 decent GPUs coming, but currently only run 16GB of RAM. Do I need to think about this as a bottleneck? I can go out to 32GB for another $100 2 GB works fine. |

Have been building LTC rigs for the past 3 months now and after my 3rd dead 5970 I am at the point where reflowing seems like the way Usually get a dead GPU and sometimes missing FansSpeeds & Temps in cgminer Is this a candidate for reflowing ? What are the directions to reflow a 5970 I have heard from 8 min to 30 min 160 degrees C What parts remove ? What temp ? What process ? i.e on a cookie tray with coatings of egg and milk etc  How long ? Will it last 3 months or is it ebay time ?
