341  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Marcchernandez scammed me for $500.00 on: November 02, 2014, 07:56:59 AM
I have dealt with Marc on several occasions. Any reload cards that I trade with him, I load them directly to his card so no chance of him passing it on. He trust me enough to give me his debit card number for the loading.

I'll help you sort this out. I have his personal number, will contact him tomorrow if this hasn't been sorted out by then. But I will not be releasing any info about him unless proven a scammer.
342  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: too good to be real? on: November 01, 2014, 09:52:41 PM
Use your common sense. That guy created a LBC account a day ago, and looking to trade for several thousands. You also have to fund escrow before the trade starts, so have you considered that he can just lock up your BTC for days? Sure he might be banned afterwards, but it's not hard to make another account with ZERO trades.

I hit my 1337 post count a while ago, and it confused the hell out of me for a bit.

344  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: SELLING & [B]UYING ---> BTC - Vanilla, ReloadIT, MP, Netspend *** on: November 01, 2014, 09:36:48 PM
I need about 30 coins.
Haploid, danny, tomato...someone, help me out.  Smiley

What exactly do you want me to do? If it's to help you look for a large seller, I won't be spending time to do that. If it's to escrow a transaction after you've found a seller, that I can do.

You can easily buy 30btc from bitstamp or coinbase.
345  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: when does btc-e require your verification? on: November 01, 2014, 09:31:52 PM
have quite some bitcoins when i bought them back in 2009

2009 huh? Now I just don't believe you. BTC was not traded much in 2009, so I'm pretty sure you didn't buy any that early. They were mined just to keep the network afloat, but not traded.
346  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: FairProof.com is a SCAM - Stole over 7.5BTC with the excuse of "investigating" on: November 01, 2014, 10:56:31 AM
lol, guy sends malware to a gambling site, so owner scams him his coins. I guess two wrongs makes a right after all  Cheesy

But this makes me wonder where the fine line is, and what amount of btc you can justify keeping. If it was a whale betting 500btc, would you have kept that too?
347  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Circle's trade volume? on: November 01, 2014, 10:33:58 AM
Probably not very high. Right now you can only buy $500 worth of btc per week with a debit/credit card, and $2500 with bank account, which isn't much at all. On coinbase, I'm allowed $50k per day.
348  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Denied for credit card, which I attempted to get to get rid of Coinbase's delay on: November 01, 2014, 07:57:50 AM
Coinbase says they don't truly receive your money from you immediately when they debit your account, so they institute a 5-day delay. This delay can be removed by adding a credit card. So I tried to get a credit card for this purpose and I was denied. I had also tried to get Paypal BillMeLater recently and I was denied for that too. I don't think BillMeLater would have worked for Coinbase, but it's obviously worth mentioning. My history: I got into debt with credit cards once, which I neglected for about a year, and eventually my parents paid it all off over the course of about 3 years.

Anyway, I was hoping to get a credit card that I could strictly use as an add-on for Coinbase and I would never use it. Does anyone have any suggestions for what cards to apply for?

If you can't get a single credit card, then your credit score is pretty bad. Every time you keep trying to apply for a card and get denied, it's hitting your credit score even more.

And for your situation, adding a credit card isn't going to fix what you're hoping for it to do. It's merely a BACKUP source of funds in case coinbase tries to debit your bank account and it has insufficient funds, it'll get charged to your credit card instead. You still have to wait a week to get your coins since funds come from your bank account, and there's no way to make the credit card as your primary source of payment.
349  Economy / Lending / Re: Offering BTC loans [no collateral] on: November 01, 2014, 07:39:22 AM
I'm falling really behind in this thread. I've given out a handful of loans but haven't posted them public, so if you've gotten a loan from me via PM, please post it here with the terms. My inbox is a mess right now and it's getting harder to mange these loans + other misc transactions.
350  Economy / Currency exchange / [WTB] BTC @ +5% bitstamp on: October 27, 2014, 03:22:48 AM
I have a $500 Vanilla Reload, I'm willing to buy BTC at 5% above bitstamp, which is currently ~$370. No other payment methods for now.

You're expected to send first unless you have higher rep than me. Escrow is fine (although pretty useless against any reload paks).

PS - I have tons of PM's I need to catch up on, if you have a pending PM not from this thread, I will get back to you soon.

My goodness, did he just really use this as example as the main crux of this argument? As if paypal never been involved in fraudulent transactions.

why im still full member?!

So how much are you going to sell that account for? Better find some fool quick before it gets banned.

By asking a stupid question, you just attracted attention to yourself and your motives.

A lot more stats need to be provided. I'm assuming not incorporated so no Financial Statements, but need basics such as Revenue, Profit, Costs.

Just out of curiosity, was this one repaid on time?

Yes, he has repaid me the 1btc principle, but has NOT paid the small interest yet. I always post the repayment address public right after the loan is given, so that anyone can verify if they wanted to.

Brand new user, selling his account with money in it, when he could just very well withdraw the money into his own bank account or transfer funds to someone else.

And how much would you wager that this the Stripe account is stolen/hacked?
356  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How IT people waste their time to making BTC sites, who do not have users on: October 20, 2014, 07:58:52 AM
There are a lot of people, especially IT people, who try to make BTC sites, but in fact BTC users market do not demand that or BTC users market is not enough large for so many projects.

Why do entrepreneurs and venture capitalist bother starting up businesses when about 90% of businesses fail? Lets just be a stagnant community instead.
357  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: QUESTION: bank deposit withdrawal limits if you sell a large number of BTC. on: October 20, 2014, 07:35:47 AM
banks apparently treat anyone as a criminal, who suddenly begins depositing large amounts of money by wire.they informed me that even as small as $10,000. will be questioned by legal authorities automatically at the time of the bank wire.any amount above that ,it seems impossible to ever get the money released, off hold, nomatter where it came from, and with the recent stories of bitcoins being tied to drug sales and money laudering, how could I ever get my money into fiat, cash? I think the actual answer is,its truly impossible.ask any banker.

You say this like it's a fact. Not too long ago, I wired a $34k transaction (not for BTC though) from my business account, no questions asked.

$10k cash movement automatically triggers a CTR. However if you break it into smaller predictable chunks to avoid that $10k magic number, that's even more stupid. You'll get caught with structuring.

And if you don't hit that $10k number, banks or other financial institution will still fill out a SARs for ANY transactions that are out of the norm.
358  Economy / Reputation / haploid23's account on: October 20, 2014, 07:21:46 AM
This account will NEVER be sold. If in doubt, send encrypted messages so only I can read.

Can I please request that a mod to lock this thread?

Banking Elite Meet in Washington To Discuss Bitcoin Threat
https://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/banking-elite-meet-washington-discuss-bitcoin-threat/

Couldn't the elite bankers simply buy the entire network and take over bitcoin?  Aren't they so wealthy that they own the whole world?
No. Absolutely not. Every day someone posits this idea, but no one has ever show a way to do it. Of course a bank could just start buying the coins, but that would drive the price up. Buying the network is not possible because anyone can use the network and own bitcoin. I for example will not sell my last bitcoin to the bankers for less than 1 trillion dollars. And even if they did the impossible and bought all the bitcoins it would not help them. Since they would be the only bitcoin holder their bitcoins would be valueless. So after spending trillions of dollars, they have nothing at all to show for it. And we would just move on to bitcoin 2.0.

Banks do not threaten bitcoin, bitcoin threatens banks.

This would not be possible for another 100+ years until all 21million coins have been mined. Until then, there are 3600 new coins mined ever day so there is no way they will own all coins unless they have bought up EVERY coin in current existence, and have complete control of the hashing network.
