Instead of empty speculation, you can look at the hash rate. Does it look like it is dying? And even if it drops under 6k it doesn't mean that mining operations will be ceased. It just means that areas with extremely low electricity prices can keep mining profitably while others cannot. Mining is always an equilibrium between electricity prices and reward. Sometimes people shut down their miners and other times they turn them on again. It is normal economics 101. In an extreme example, I once had the most fun ever to nurse a coin down from ASIC difficulty to CPU difficulty. There will always be an equilibrium. |

Maybe it's to discourage those who have bad intentions of posting scams or trash talk. Also, it limits one account per phone number in case someone wants to create a bunch of accounts to post FUD. But that is against our privacy that kind of social media channels are not secure it could be hacked any time and any person can get access to our personal phone number. I also think they should remove this condition to get access there. It is just a mechanism to make sure that only real people join the channel. Remember that the reason Slack was locked was because of all the bots and spam accounts that joined and caused problems. The phone number for Discord is to just make sure you are not a bot. In the end it will provide a more satisfying experience on the channel if all particpants are real. |

My only issue with Discord is the font size. It is very difficult to read the posts in such a small font. Since the move I tend to rather catch up end of day than checking during the day like I used to on Slack.

Yes that is still possible and always will be. The conversion ratio will also always stay the same. 1 DRPS = 2 DRPU. Please keep in mind that converting from drps to drpu has a fee which is 2%. Doubling the number of airdrop coins should make up for a 2% charge. I still dont understand why for airdrops the ratio cannot be made 1:2 DRPU:DRPS. It will eliminate the need to do any conversions. |

The v7 chain (XMR) is supported by the ecosystem. Monero Classic (v6 chain) was basically merely introduced to keep ASICs alive. If the devs sypport v7, then v7 should become the main chain. Just like what happened when Eth forked and Eth was the main chain and Eth classic became the secondary chain. What if Bitmain adjusts it protocol and makes a new batch that can mine v7? Or what if the protocol and algorithms are placed on EEPROM chips that can be upgraded after a fork happens? |

I really missed totally two updates first about DCore mining and second on test Net running. But have started to connect the previous updates to draw the conclusive material out of those. Specially that DPoS kind thing is really impressive to become stake holder to get some share from mining and that is of my interest more at the moment.

yeah that's the very truth If you guys haven't been in crypto for long, it might help to look up some past data to get a sense of these markets. It should also go without saying that crypto/alts/BTC isn't for everyone and if you don't have the temperament to research a lot and have a lot of patience through very high volatility, perhaps stay away from this market. Not everybody can afford to wait it out. Those that can wait out and buy the dip will profit significantly when cycles turn back later this year or perhaps next year. Yes there will be lots of casualties but the alts with solid potential should survive. |
