this coin has been forked for quite some time now:

these nodes
addnode=5.189.189.51:35575
addnode=85.175.216.200:40020
addnode=88.206.186.58:19274
addnode=79.101.82.32:62237
addnode=45.63.1.27:50187
addnode=45.32.41.132:58228

and aikapool.com are on different chains,
both look consistent and healthy
which one's correct might be dev's concern.
pool chain is a bit longer but lower pow diff

As time goes on this wallet becomes more and more difficult to run. It is extremely resource intensive. The dev needs to fix the issue if he wants any hope of longevity of LOC.

Is it the end of this p&d?

There is no fundamental reason for the price to have gone up. The initial pump cost around 7BTC before the posts of a pump was made in the thread. If the person/(s) that bought at 1000-100 sats during the premine dump invested the 7BTC before the announcement was made, they could have easily made 2-5x dumping those at the higher price as the latecomers got in and the people that bought at the higher price would sit with the bags. Not a bad investment for a days work. Poor guys that bought though once it falls back to 100 sats.

I might be wrong of course, but this is what it looks like on face value.

lol, u think it will fall back to 100 sat?  Cheesy
good luck getting them at 100sat!

You should be familiar with the altcoin scene and should know that all pumps do fall back to at least where it started from or might stagnate slightly above. I wont buy because at any time there might be another surprise unannounced premine dump to smithereens since there is still premine left. Only after all the premine has been dumped I will consider investing at higher levels. The current price is lucrative for a remainder premine dump and I don't want to be exposed.

I do put a caveat in that a whale can prolong the pump. The person/(s) that bought the premine dumped at low levels made the lion share of profit of the odd 50BTC of the pump volume. If he/(they) decide to reinvest some of that it could go up again. It just depends on how high they want to take it.

This coin traded at 112k sat. 1000 sat is very cheap
that was before mastertrader supposely dumped premine down to double digits.but i believe he only dumped 40 percent and moved the rest.he did say he woud dump it after everyone was told and he would NOT sell it on a exchange!!! then he said he was just going to burn it then right a way said he was doing everyone a favor and sold some on bittrex down to about 89 sat. what can you do with this coin besides making it a ponsi scam? 120 percent a year and you cant do anything with it but to get a sucker to buy it? so yea 1000
sat is cheap
that is the main reason there is no working block explorer. come on people wake up!!!!

https://chainz.cryptoid.info/mtr

You have pretty much nailed it. You can perhaps just add that mastertrader says he sold the coins to get money for development. This means that he would have wanted to get maximum money for what he can sell the premine for according to logical thinking of the reasonable man test. He furthermore says he did everyone a favor by selling coins cheap when he dumped. THese are his two reasons.

Firstly, after months of nothing he suddenly dumped the premine without any announcement. This means that no-one could position themselves accordingly, whether it was to get out while they can if they dont like premine being dumped or whether they wanted to place buy orders to buy the premine. By dumping the premine unannounced he filled orders at very low prices meaning he did not get maximum money for the coins he sold and therefore got much less money for development than had he announced it beforehand. So I dont think he achieved his first reason.

Secondly, the only people that benefited from the selling at low prices are those that would have known the dump is coming that could place their buy orders. Since he did not tell anyone about the dump, the number of people that would have placed buy orders to sell into was reduced substantially since only he knew about it. So I think he also did not achieve his second objective.

There is nothing wrong with selling premine for development purposes - that is why it is there for after all. The thing is that if a premine is to be dumped, do it transparently by informing the community so that those that want to get out while the can can do so and those that want to benefit at lower prices can and so so that the proceeds for development can be maximized. I dont think that this is an unreasonable request.

The dumping of the premine whether he likes it or not killed the coin or reduced the chances of survival to about 1%.

Looks like things are starting to move.

I like to staking dynamics. It is like an F1 race, when to pit-stop, when to join the race, when to accelerate when to hold back etc.

How do you know that your contract is secure? Or if it is not will you qualify for an ETH hard fork as well?
1268  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: WARP - Something different - VPN Wallet BETA Release - Bittrex/YoBit on: August 16, 2016, 01:58:31 PM
Ill say it again. It is sometimes better for a dev not to say anything, especially if there is a lengthy development period. A bit of silence gives the dev time to focus and work and eliminates the need to constantly reply on fud and waste time. The more a dev says the more fud will be posted as people analyze every word and punctuation mark.

Great decision to do a staggered bounty distribution.

Not much interest in the 808 anymore ? what are the future plans ?
C-Cex listing was requested last night after a response from one of the exchange owners, im just a member who wants to put in work and see this coin succeed, you guys can all do the same, no one owns this coin.

It would be good to see 808 on C-CEX. The staking dynamics is what makes this coin interesting.

I hope the announcement is:

1. What is a Polo listing?
2. What is a full node launch?

Just dont **** it up.

Cautiously optimistic about this one.
1276  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: RISE | ICO CLOSED | RISE WITHDRAWAL ENABLED | MAINNET LIVE | TRADING ON BITTREX on: July 31, 2016, 12:17:41 AM
Two More Full Time Developers Officially Onboard With Rise:

Congratulations and welcome aboard to Richard and Nathan who have joined the Rise project and will be coding from Justins "Kitchen Office" until they find a more suitable work space.

Expect to see a ton more of development updates on a continuted basis from now on.

At the moment the team is focused on resolving the public delegates forking issue.

To start with they are building in a function for the delegates to validate the blockheight prior to starting work on a block, to ensure they are on the same node.

After that they will work on keeping all the nodes in sync with each other.

For the time being Richard and Nathan are working on the above with Justins direction whilst Justin is beginning architecture for the other tasks.

Wish them all the best of luck over the coming months!! Wink

Rise "Kitchen Office" The Beginning:

Another team member will be announced next Monday!

Did the big companies not start in the garage? Why did you pick the kitchen...

Are there any issues with 2FA or is it safe to enable?

I'm getting an https error when i visit ico.stratisplatform.com now:

"Your connection is not private

Attackers might be trying to steal your information from ico.stratisplatform.com (for example, passwords, messages, or credit cards). NET::ERR_CERT_AUTHORITY_INVALID"

----------

Can anyone from the Stratis team confirm this is caused by a misconfiguration and not a malicious attacker? A quick answer would be great because i'm sure people are trying to get their coins sent there in the last couple hours before ICO ends. Just trying to make sure this is an issue on my end and not a problem on your end.

Thanks Smiley

Which browser are you using? Its still ok for me in Chrome.

Anyone else getting that message?

Chrome as well.

I've been logging in every day to my account the last week, no problems.  I got on just now to add some more btw ( Smiley) and got that warning before I could proceed. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't going to log in and send bitcoin to a fake address.  Cheesy

Never ignore HTTPS warnings!!! Its a good sign something is not right.

Do you know how to ping a domain to resolve the IP? If so ping ICO.stratisplatform.com and post the IP

Yea that's why I wanted to check on here first, I was a little skeptical.

I do not know how to do that, but if you explain to me, i'll gladly try!

Like I said, I switched to FireFox and looked into my two ICO accounts and everything seems to be kosher.  One of them I made last week, the other I made a few minutes ago and sent coin to.  Does it sound like it was just a misconfiguration error with my chrome browser?

The cert is fine and valid for a year. No issues there.
1279  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: | STRATIS | The first blockchain developed for businesses | ICO ends in 4 hours on: July 26, 2016, 06:09:00 PM
Is it normal for the deposit address to be in large letters and then the last digit or two is hidden behind the "BTC invested" block?

Only 2 days left for the 1k 808 giveaway, only 8 out of 21 users have a chance of 1k 808 coins!

There is already just over 1 Million 808 coins out there so what makes 1 Thousand of them so special ?

Who is actually putting the funds into the giveaway, is it the developer himself ? If so why not a lot more as he stated at the start he and his work co mined hundreds of thousands to sell initially to support the project, why make people go to effort for a chance to win 50 cents worth of a coin.... I can find that walking around the street or even in phone boxes uncollected change Cheesy

It might be all that is left after all those initial dumps.  Smiley
