Did you buy high and sell low? If you can hold your coins for at least 1 year, then it's always a good time to buy  My average buy in price is around 215$ I just want to have more btc before the bull run. Did you buy high and sell low or why still here as a hero?  I pretty much only buy. Rarely will I use my BTC to purchase something without replenishing those coins. Are you saying that hero members should no longer be on the forums? Or that rich people shouldn't need to follow bitcoin prices? Or something entirely different? Either way I have a very large stake in Bitcoin's success and it is currently my #1 or #2 hobby (depending on whether or not I'm vacationing away from home) +1 To all the heroes and the hodlers. Has the great shakeout of 2014 come to an end? Weak hands go away, the strong hands are here to play. |

Is this really the rally we've been waiting for? I doubt it... best case scenario we go up to ~600 and stay there
but I love the optimism in here!
Consolidating at 600 USD would be a good thing. Consolidating at 6000 usd would be a good thing. Ath at 60000 usd would be a good thing. One day... have patience young grasshopper.  If it goes up too fast then the majority of Earth's power output will be used to mine BTC. So it's probably only reasonable to get to $10k over the next 12-30 months. |

The PDF currently online has a creation date in the metadata as : /CreationDate(D:20090324113315-06'00')>> March 24 2009 (-6GMT, I am sure that has been mentioned elsewhere). Was there an older version? i.e. The one released on November 1 2008. I might have a copy from Jan/Feb 2009 but not on any machine I can access easily.  Edit: Looks like this one was uploaded on that date, http://sourceforge.net/projects/bitcoin/files/Design%20Paper/bitcoin.pdf/2009-03-24 So I suspect there is an older version floating around possibly. Thoughts? |

Are there deterministic builds available for the binaries? In other words if I compile the source for Windows or Linux in a known way will I get the same SHA256 sum on the output executable? I think this is important for an anoncoin but of course must not be a high level priority just yet given the other work you guys are up to.

Well, you have even more blood on your hands now as of a few minutes ago.  I just bought about 25% of what I sold last November. It is my first real trade actually because I believe in HODL. But I feel this is a good entry point and it will be fun to get into the game right now especially with this cool thread. I had an order ready to go on Coinbase when the huge $300 wall was being eaten away but my account had dropped below its previous verification level for some reason. So I used that an excuse to say forget it. Of course I still should have bought at that moment! Now I have a better excuse for watching the forums. But today I will explore. |

Glad I could help! The DNSSeed should be very stable but if there are any issues ever just message me here and I will check them out. I also have an anoncoin node running on static I2P. I am speaking to a friend who might be able to do an Android wallet as well. (I have been looking through the bounties.) I think this is interesting to look at again as the hash rate is going up again. Just saw a 10% increase and we are going to see another ~7-8% increase soon.

Thanks Seriously, go out and do more interesting stuff though. Price won't go all rocket most likely anyway (actually, I'm more thinking dip incoming). Mumbai sounds awesome. Wonder if I could tolerate the food... heard some horror stories from people with non-iron cast stomachs Ahh, thanks for the encouragement! My excuse now is that it is after 9pm now and I spent the day trying to find a place to rent for a month which isn't easy here as they all want long term leases. But I should turn off the bitcoin switch for a few weeks. One of my happiest times in India was when I accidentally stayed somewhere with no Internet (in south Goa) and couldn't easily get a good connection for a month. It was annoying at times but overall made life more fun. Oh the food is one of the best parts (mmm, pav bhaji). |

One year ago a few of my friends were asking me which altcoin they should buy among : Litecoin, Peercoin and Feathercoin.
My answer was "Bitcoin".
Was it the right choice ?
Clealy... almost all others have fallen over 90%.. Haha, why must the masses always get it wrong? Gotta laugh at it but so sad. |
