341  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why people price things in fiat but want BTC - choose one or the other on: August 26, 2014, 06:47:37 PM
It is a familiar denomination. Changing the way we think about something takes time. Many of us all ready take losses when we transact business because we pay exchange fees to top off our stash when we spend bit coin.

Why do people always say this? How much are most bank accounts? $8-$15 monthly? Are you spending that on fees.. Technically you're saving.

Electronic Cigarettes? Does it feel like the real one? Shocked
how is it possible if we take puffs of this electronic cigarette it will not create cancer in our lungs Tongue because have no tar and tobacco in it and no cough while smoke it . then how it feels like the real one .

I thought I read somewhere that a guy got cancer from one. But I think he was smoking it all the time.

I'm highly doubting that, the two main ingredients to ecig juice.. 1 is a major food additive, and used in hospital air vents to sterilize the air, and the other is the mist you see come out of asthma inhalers. And of course nicotine if you chose so.
That being said I'm highly doubting someone got cancer in the two year window where anyone even knows what an ecig is.

346  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: #IceBucketChallenge in honor of Hal Finney and bringing Awareness to ALS on: August 22, 2014, 06:17:35 PM
Guidestar.org   Check it out before donating!!

Less than 30% of your money donated gets used to help people with ALS or R&D for ALS. Less than 30%!!! 0.30 cents per 1 usd. $30 per $100 usd. The person that runs ALS.org gets PAID!!! $320,000 IN 2012. The most recent tax filings. The % paid to run the "charity" *cough* operating costs, are greater than the % given out to help! A true travesty!!

It's a shitty charity!! This "Ice Bucket Challenge" is ridiculous!

Guidestar.org   Check it out before donating!!

Hi you have to also realize that ALS didn't get much support before. They've made 56 million already, 30% of that isn't going to be the only amount given. If you only make 2 million in donations.. And your expenses are high, obviously a lower % will be used for research. Their bills will stay the same.. So more will go for research.

If you stock nicotine base and flavor art flavorings at a good price I will buy from you each month. I make my own liquid and would love to buy the supplies from a bitcoiner.

What do your dot tanks hit at? I use a similar one from Volcano ecigs.

Hi, right now we don't have the volume to buy in quantity to resell those. Maybe in the future.

What do you mean what do the dot tanks hit at?
349  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [Opinions] IF you could improve/add/remove 1 thing to bitcoin what would it be? on: August 20, 2014, 05:38:33 PM

350  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [Opinions] IF you could improve/add/remove 1 thing to bitcoin what would it be? on: August 20, 2014, 05:32:56 PM
I would remove the ability to complain about transaction times.

Bank transfer - > 3-4 days
Paypal - > 4-5 days
Western Union - > 30 minutes to drive and send $14 later also.
Western Union - > 20 minutes to go pick up.
Personal/Business check - > 3 days
Creidt Card Processor - > 1-5 days
Bitcoin - > 0-20 minutes

....

352  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Google also gives result like DuckDuckGo on: August 19, 2014, 05:56:35 PM
Just noticed that google also gives result on searching for a public key.
Last week they did not.

Probably because DuckDuckGo implemented this feature and google did not want to lose the first movers (I was about to make DuckDuckGo my default searchengine)

Google is not showing balance yet, but I think that's just a matter of time.

Google has been showing the address since the start of bitcoin. DDG does have a nice feature though.. Balance, sent, received and a barcode.
353  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] Pax vaporizer for bitcoin. on: August 15, 2014, 04:45:35 PM
Unless you got these from pax themselves they're probably clone.. Like most vape things. I'm not sure what they wholesale for.. But since they sell for $250 I'd imagine they sell them bulk for $200-230ish.. Clones you can grab for $50 so if you spent any less than $230 you bought clones.

even if these are the real deal plume will not honor the warranty, so they're not much better than the knock offs.  A lot of the knockoffs comes from the same factory and were sold under the table by the factory.

I think every one of my ecig suppliers will disagree with you on that. Just about everything is made in house and by a rare chance they may be able to source a single part like a chip. There are actually quite a few ecig/vape things they cant clone.. But the pax isn't one.

356  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitcoin arbitrage, quite profitable BTC investment, make 1-3% ROI per day on: August 15, 2014, 04:08:16 PM
Well, that s life. Sometimes I wish I am less risk averse.
Not many people would call putting money in a hyip risk adverse.

Been listening to that story since the day one. Yet, I keep making money since the day one. Reached full 176% ROI 4 weeks ago, withdrew principal and reinvested some of my profits. Unfortunately, I invested just a small amount. However, I have a friend who invested $11k and will reach 171% ROI in a few days, most of it he has already received. Have another friend who invested $20k and will reach similar ROI end of this month. If they are a HYIP, they are really strange HYIP, the one which lets people reach full ROI, profit, withdraw and then reinvest only house money. This all goes on almost 10 months. Never heard of something like that.

Actually that's what most of them do.. 1% daily is impossible. Paying out and paying out is how they all work.. Then one day they have $30,000,000 and no longer need to pay out. If it were possible to make 1% daily, the worlds billionaires would literately be the only ones to own money. Bill Gates has 60 billion, why isn't it going up 1% every day?
357  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The $100->$1200 BTC bubble! on: August 15, 2014, 04:03:41 PM
Who made money during the $100 --> $1200 BTC spike, it was too easy which makes me think exchanges robbed people that listened and invested at $100 to get a return of at the least over $500. I was a victim of this selective scamming by BTC-E. How many people do you think made millions in profits off the BTC bubble?

Meh sold around 30 coins for just shy of $100 each, 3 weeks later... $1000 each.
358  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do Brick and mortar merchants charge a premium to accept bitcoin? on: August 05, 2014, 03:39:26 PM
A debit card you pay a % plus a fee sometimes up to $1 a swipe (more realistically $0.25)
359  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it time to get a new "bitcoin foundation"??? on: August 05, 2014, 03:37:38 PM
The bitcoin foundation doesn't do anything. You hear people say bitcoin is a ponzi, well the BF is a scam. All they do is collect money has anyone ever heard of them even talking about bitcoin?

No... So millions of $$$$$ collected... Not even a picture of their mancave.
360  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ross Ulbricht’s Silk Road Defence Invokes Fourth Amendment on: August 04, 2014, 07:02:22 PM
If he does...

what happens with his coins they sold?

They didn't sell his coins, they sold silk road coins. 27k of them. He has 117k
