361  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: IS it possible to let your BTC work for you ? on: January 12, 2022, 11:43:25 AM
It is not possible as far as I know. Unless you stake it to their wallet or use an agent to manage your btc and earn from them. If there are people trying to reach and tell you it is possible at the they will be getting your ok I am very sure of that. Also I am letting you know that even do you don't do stupid things and just hold on you will see your BTC's value increase as years go by, just sit and add more and enjoy. That is all you ever have to do, wait, I guess it is working on it's own for you to get you desired profits, and not from people you don't know telling you to give them you credentials.
362  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it always safe to connect your (metamask) wallet? on: January 11, 2022, 01:37:14 PM
Been here in the crypto space for about 5 years and never had bad experience about me connecting my account to Metamask. I bet it is better that nothing, exposing your private keys, well depends on what bad luck you have if you ever go around clicking stuffs and no shield like Metamask to recognize whether it is a Malware installing sites.
363  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: In which blockchain will there be a strong development of DeFi GameFi NFT etc? on: January 11, 2022, 12:44:31 PM
Many cool projects appear on different blockchains. In 2021, we saw good development and opportunities in the Solana ecosystem, especially in the NTF sector, as well as many cool projects and opportunities on Ethereum. The same parachains on Polkadot and Kusama, in which there was a lot of activity ... I wonder which of the blockchains will have the most opportunities and prospects in 2022, where really cool projects will appear? Where will the powerful development of DeFi be? GameFi, NFT and etc..?

I bet on young blockchains like Near Protocol, Kosmos, Fantom

I think it will be Binance Smart Chains, I love the fees and I haven't encountered any problems in my transactions within BSC. I hope there will be more to come this year, and hope they all become successful as it is good for the Network. It is also has and edge f being backed and link to Binance and most projects are ended on the exchanges with no problems at all, leaving more investors to play in.
364  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Prophesy on: January 11, 2022, 12:09:43 PM
It's hard to believe that, put volatility as one of the factors for bitcoins success. I mean as of now most people came to crypto currencies because they want more money in a short time. They can't get with traditional investments, it would take them too long, line in cryptos we could be millionaires in a single night. I feel you bro, and the I wan those dreams to come true but as of this moment it is away from what we are expecting.
365  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: If we follow the 2013/2015 patern, the price will reach a new ATH only in 2027 on: January 10, 2022, 11:41:37 AM
I think if we would follow base on the history charts, it would be predictable and easy to just win all over. It is not that easy, it's not just base on the previous charts. There are factors and it really affects the price changes. It is no surprise that it could be an ATH later or tomorrow, with in just a small span of time.
366  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When people said hype and utility is most important on: January 07, 2022, 11:08:26 PM
So damn true, look at how axie infinity right now, they are going down. Price of SLP is going down, it's because there is no utilization of the SLP aside from being used for breeding. And guess what, the supply is infinite, it is going crazy and now the price is totally down. Utilization is really needed in order for the tokens to survived, not just one user case but the more the better. And also remember to put a limit on the supply, or else everything would be chaos.
367  Other / Archival / Re: Are Banks afraid of Crypto adoption? on: January 07, 2022, 01:07:06 PM
I think some of the banks but not all banks. I bet there are many workers of banks or even managers or maybe higher than those positions that are investing or interested in crypto currencies. I saw one with my own eyes and then he openly talks about it and it makes him happy. He was okay with crypto currencies and studying a lot more.
When I was opening a bank account one time, the manager ask me where do I get my funds and I told him that it was somewhat related online and he ask me if it was from bitcoins or crypto as a whole and I said yes. He then never ask me further and decided to approve my application, it just shows that they recognize the crypto industry.
368  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When will ETH Fees drop? (ETH v2 etc.) on: January 07, 2022, 05:55:04 AM
Do you guys have any estimate when the ETH Fees are going to drop? It's been so long those fees have been as high as mountains.
Do you see any light in the end of the tunnel?

I too lost hope of the fees regarding Eth. In fact there are coins on the other side of my wallet that is stuck up. I can't withdraw them due to high fees. So it is better for them to remain there. The only advantage for me that Eth ha high gas fees is that I am also a miner. I mine with video cards and it gives me good profits monthly. I already got my ROI so, what ever happens to eth prices is okay for me as all of the mined coins till today are all profits. I think there will be a time when eth will lose to another coin that offers low gas fees. If ever there will be chances eth will lowering it's fees, maybe it is a good investments as eth is a stable coins which offers great network to new projects out there.
369  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin is unsettling, for those who don't have it on: January 06, 2022, 11:57:58 PM
How about your job? Did you find another one that is not related to your past job and related to crypto? Maybe you could your skills before in the line of crypto currencies. It is nice to see somebody from the banking system turn to crypto, hope it will be easy for you and maybe teach the ones who hates bitcoin so that they would be like you and convert too. Share them about your past experience and maybe you would be a way to let them feel that bitcoin is not the way they thought it was.
370  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoins mining on: January 06, 2022, 12:51:47 PM
How can I mine altcoins from my android mobile phone?

You have been already told that all minable coins on phone are shitcoins, get a goddam antminer or high mem video cards. If somehow you can't afford on buying one then just do faucets, I think there are many out there that is better that mining with phone. Grow up and understand the situation man.

371  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should we sell all crypto now? on: January 06, 2022, 12:22:44 PM
All crypto is dropping now because of FED. It seems that it’s the start of the bearish market. Should we sell all crypto now?

If you think you have profits selling it right now, then it is okay, it is your choice to sell it anytime anyway. Now it gets you in a position were you lose somehow around 30 percent then I think it is already too late. Not all investments gives you profits always, this is a volatile one compare to traditional investments. If you have the guts and not in a dire situation like you really need the money for emergency purposes, I think it is better for you to hold it and just wait for the bullish market, win big or lose big, decide.
372  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Too much of new crypto projects? on: January 05, 2022, 10:15:29 PM
Its been a very long time that I've been using coinmarketcap.com/new to find new crypto projects that just get listed on the platform and I've come to notice that every two to three days coinmarketcap always list up to 30 new crypto projects, how insane is that? It shows that more than 100 crypto projects are released every week cos some landed on coingecko first before coinmarketcap, this to me is scary

You don't have to be scared, I think you need to feel the opposite way if you are knowledgeable and lucky to have invested on one of those projects which maybe come to fruition in the future. It just means that crypto is alive and still kicking even though these hard times, means more money are coming in to the industry. It is a healthy thing, people will innovate and continue to do research and maybe come to an incredible one which could help us out in our struggles with our daily lives. We should just thank them that they are continuing to add more ideas, I know it's not all but some are serious and genuine about revolutionizing our old ways of doing things and that I think is great.
373  Economy / Economics / Re: Covid crisis leaves Sri Lanka on brink of bankruptcy on: January 05, 2022, 02:44:24 PM
That doesn't sound good at the moment. But I regret why China got involved in this crisis after they wanted to help?
Sri Lanka owes too much to China which will eventually worsen its financial situation. It's really not great, but maybe they had no other choice last year when it came to solving some of their country's financial problems. China's insistence on Sri Lanka to pay off its debts will only make things worse, I'm not sure Sri Lanka will be able to pay off [its debt installments] even though the government is optimistic about it.

of course, china has underlying intentions on why they want to help sri lanka. and they will only get that point when china starts asking favours from their government. anyway, it is not only sri lanka that is experiencing this economic trouble during this pandemic. and we are not yet out of the woods, and this new variant omicron is threatening the economic situation of many countries again. i believe after we surpass this challenge, many governments as well as individuals will learn a lot how to survive in this kind of crisis. if you are not resourceful, you will be in miserable situation. in our own ways, we need to find options how to survive in these challenging times

Just now I saw some news on social media but I haven't verified it yet that another variant are on the way, not just one but more than tens. I just got from the pharmacy in our place and all of the paracetamol and medicines for fever are sold out. I feel like we have gone back to square one where mask, tissue paper, alcohol etc are sold out or x200 the price if available. What is happening in the world, and I hope we don't second on what happen to Sri Lanka and other countries link to China's money trap, but I am afraid we are in good terms with China and we already had big projects that they funded, I don't know what is the deal between our leaders. The only thing to do is trust our Leaders and have faith on them.
374  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The faith of Altcoins in 2022 on: January 04, 2022, 04:40:30 PM
I was able to collect back what I invested on the year 2019, but I regret the decision of selling it, I was not able to make profit. Doesn't matter anymore, these predictions can never be accurate anytime. But even though some of them have hit to the point and made my days, so I won't lose faith on altcoins and still manage to hold some. If I had the chance, maybe another new project would be and interesting bet to invest in, NFT based or related to games that is what I am thinking of right now.
375  Economy / Economics / Re: LEGO Sets Are Better Investments than Stocks, Bonds or Even Gold on: January 04, 2022, 04:00:44 PM
I don’t think that legos are better investments than gold or stocks. I think the author was just over exaggerating. You need to understand you have no idea which Lego set will be big in 20 years. So what are you going to do? Buy every single set that they release. They release maybe 100 new sets a year and some of these sets are expensive and extremely Large.

Where will you store these Lego boxes? Need to store it in some heated room so it doesn’t get water or moisture damage. Seems that holding gold would be much easier.

This is like one of those lucky investments where only 1 in 100 sets becomes so rare that it’s value appreciates. Either way great read.

Totally agree on this, I could store gold or silver in my pocket worth 500 dollars than a set of LEGO, which needs extra care and wait for how many years to attain what your expectation of price is. Gold and Silver has been there for us thousands of years ago, it's just hard to replace it by anything especially LEGOs.
376  Economy / Economics / Re: 2022 Savings and investment plan on: January 04, 2022, 02:08:40 PM
The year 2021 has come and gone and has left behind some great lessons, most especially as it relates to our economic life and how we balance the sheet at the end of every calendar year. I have drafted my economic plans for the year 2022 and may be interested in learning some lessons from them. The number one thing is to know how much capital I have and how long can I invest in it and what are the percentage profits turnovers, after that, I will look for the right investment to invest in and how much I should invest in it. Then I will try to diversify my investment. I will take less risk this year but make my finances more stable with some skills development.

I could advise you to learn the skills of trading, it is better than holding in my opinion. If you have manage to master it then you could earn a fortune if a lifetime with the right amount of capital to use. I think you are good enough to read the basics of trading and may with some help of a legit guide to help you out start from scratch. I once traded on my early days but retired from it due to lack of finances. This year and before just hit me hard and I am literally crawling just to survive, so many debts to be paid and so on. Good luck out there brother.
377  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who is really controlling the Bitcoin market. on: January 02, 2022, 04:04:06 PM
People always say that they are are waiting for the price of Bitcoin go down before they go into the market for trading and at the same time nobody can predict the market.
Now is the market been manipulated? Or it all depends on the numbers of investors who invested.
There is something we need to understand about Bitcoin.
The more the demand of Bitcoin the more the increase take place. Can anyone predict the market?
Because people are waiting for the decrease in price and are they predicting the market or not?
I don't think have a better understandingn on how Bitcoins

No one can predict it's price, if in the past maybe someone did, then it is just a coincidence I tell you. See how feds are continuously printing money? It is non stop, just this factor alone is a solid proof that BTC will go higher as months and years go by. Another is the 2024 halving is near, 2 years at our current time is like months, times flies so fast you wouldn't even feel a year have passed. Well halving does gives positive impact on BTC's price.
If new comers are waiting for BTC's price to go down then they will have to wait for Satoshi Nakamoto's account of 1 Million BTC to go live and trade those coins, and as far as I know, 13 years have passed and still no news about him being found.
378  Economy / Economics / Re: What's your opinion of the insurance industry? on: January 02, 2022, 12:57:29 PM
I think you need to breakdown the problem. If the problem is complex, there's no single antidote that can cure all the problems. Let's see several areas that we can improve:
- Agent/brokers/middlemen: this the area in which inefficiencies occur, it can be reduced into "host/personal customer support" whose job is to make sure all documents provided by insured are legit, preparing paperworks, continually in touch with the insured. Can an app replace it? Or human touch is still preferred?
- Who will calculate VAR, premium, etc. can algorithm calculate it better than human (expert)?
- Slow to pay claims: how can the technology make it faster to verify all documents?

Automation needs a well-thought architecture, and without a clear white paper, it's difficult to tell whether or not your DAO will make sense.

Certainly right, there things that technology at them moment are limited. All works of the human cannot be done by the computers or AI, unless we can create a perfect AI which thinks independently and that thing is no way closer to our current timeline. There just things that need to be left for the humans to work as computers and technology were basically created by humans in the 1st place.
The idea of insurance being automated is great only if there is no flaws, at some cases of automated transactions do make errors, unless it is perfect upto 99.9 percent then it is a good one to be utilize.
379  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it Better to Hodl or Stake your Tokens? on: January 01, 2022, 11:57:21 PM
This is a pretty big question that people in this space have to consider. I personally like to do a bit of both in the sense that I stake the relatively stable tokens, and tend to just hodl the more volatile ones.

Hodling your tokens is definitely less risky than staking your tokens, but in all fairness staking doesn’t really seem like all that risky of an endeavor. Especially, when you consider the fact that a big part of staking just involves hodling your tokens. In fact, many of the risks associated with hodling your tokens are the exact same risks you will be exposed to whilst staking them, and that is the risk of downward price fluctuation.

The biggest additional risk stakers take on relative to hodlers is having their tokens locked into a liquidity pool for a certain period of time.. Usually no longer than a month, but for this extra risk stakers are given pretty decent rewards. Besides if you use a liquid staking DApp like pStake you could essentially avoid the risk of having your tokens locked up by simply minting a synthetic version of your staked tokens.

The synthetic tokens you mint can be used on DeFi applications just as you would use any other tokens.

I never had tried any staking all of my life in the crypto space. I don't want my tokens to be locked, it is the same as the bank, I never put money on the back for too long. I used it all the time for business. Instead of letting the grow the money, I take risk and do it all my self. Same as in staking, I think if you have the skills and knowledge to do so it is better that you make it grow rather than just wait for portion of your money's income. I want the full one, say that I am greedy, but hey I am a risk taker, and I don't regret a single thing on my decisions regarding investments.
380  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The moment of truth on: January 01, 2022, 03:54:29 PM
This is the moment of truth, today is 1st of January 2022 will crypto market start retracing 60k after holidays is over? Or the market is tired of pumping and will fall even Futher? This questions have been on my mind for a while now because to be honest bulls have been here for two years already I'd say this is one of a kind bull market so far but what's keeping crypto at this stronger phase?

Depends on how many people with money invest in crypto, the more the better. Or if some other major announcements made by the influencers out there that simply moves prices high, even a small tweet from a known person can have an impact. Also the global pandemic is a factor, some people lost trust on some of the governments theses days, so they instead convert they money to Bitcoin or eth or any other stable coins, they're making a hedge. So many to add on, just stay update and we may be able to see what might comes next.
