Is better to stake on local wallet then on exchange , well even if cost with pc or laptop or server to run it 24/7 is higher then we have no risk to lose the coins. Or we have any exhange where we can stake and get more coins if we hold coins on our wallet , on wallet where we have the private keys for?

I don't know who will win, well the most lucky coin

I think this would be extremely interesting because decentralized exchanges have not really popped up.
363  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Two Exchanges in 2019 lost over $70,000,000 on: February 15, 2020, 03:36:30 PM
You cannot repeat it often enough the importance of storing your coins and tokens on a wallet you personally own. Don't leave them on exchanges. There is no 100% guarantee that an exchange is not getting hacked. Protect your coins and store them safe!
I agree with you.. there are some users who are lazy to store their coins in a private wallet, they feel more comfortable storing in an exchange wallet, even though wallet exchange is very vulnerable to hacker attacks.  storing in a personal wallet is much more troublesome but still the safest!!
Whats the troublesome of it? It doesnt really cost an arm and leg for you to store up your coins on a hardware or personal wallet.
It might just really require you to spent some when it comes to fees but at least you do know the safety of your coins.
People never really learn until they do experience loss of funds.Wont be surprised if there are exchanges as of this 2020 will be hacked.

We can't expect everyone to take care of their own funds. We need to realize this and move on, by making exchanges hold more security.

Have fun with it and hashtag #HowIcrypto where you use social media.

I use cryptocurrency every single day, I mostly use a middleman like Bitpay to process all of my transactions. So even though I might not be buying bread with USD, I used my Bitcoin to make the purchase. This makes it nice for me since I run my business in the crypto space, I can get paid from someone in China instantly and buy food at the store within 5 minutes. I love that about bitcoin, what about you?

how i want this to be adopted here in my country, maybe everything that i need will be paid using crypto or Bitcoin specifically.
but sad to say we are too far from reality and maybe it will took another years before we finally experience what youa re having in that country of yours.

Is this because you are invested in bitcoin? Or do you actually see the difference in payment benefits?
365  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Staking WAR has begun, who is wining it? on: February 08, 2020, 01:30:42 PM
Exchange staking is fully centralized. I prefer to stake on decentralized finance apps but only after they prove themselves.
Celsius founder is creating too much hype like bitconnect and i do not like that.
Only time will tell.

So you won't be staking on centralized exchanges?
366  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What has bitcoin done for you? on: February 05, 2020, 02:37:01 AM
Bitcoin is good and it has really been helpful for me. I was able to create a source of income through Bitcoin and it has helped me to make some money and also start up a side business which I believe would grow bigger as time goes on☺️, and of course, depending on how much effort I put into it.

If I never got into Bitcoin when I did, around 2015, I might not have been able to accomplish as much as I have done. Even after I lost my dad I was able to carry on with the family, though it was not easy, but imagine I didn’t get these opportunities how it would have been by now lol.

It is amazing to read and hear how bitcoin has changed your life. Most people I would imagine have had financial gains from bitcoin, but it is also amazing how people have started their coding careers in blockchain etc

What does everyone else think about this staking war?

I will share my brief Bitcoin experience on my twitter: https://twitter.com/timmy_forrest/status/1223643586362822662

I am so grateful for the Bitcoin and cryptocurrency community in general because it has shaped the way that I have developed financial skills. I learned about Bitcoin when I was a kid, and so I got a lot of my foundational skills around Bitcoin and the crypto market.

I've been to cryptocurrency events and was actually surprised at how kind and thoughtful people were.

I love the Bitcoin community and consider you guys/girls family! <3
371  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: PSA: How to create a good Project Development Thread on: February 01, 2020, 04:09:27 PM
This is a good reference for every developer who wants to create a dent announcement thread, announcement thread is very important, this is where all the information are detailed, the concept, the roadmap the plan, the goal and this where all potential investors will look first before going to the official site, so it's should be as professional as possible.

Yeah, I think the outline really does help. It is really hard to open a thread that just has links and nothing of substance and then say to yourself "this looks interesting I should look into it"

This is a good initiative as it helps to stay current about the happenings in the crypto industry. Most of the News is very shot and not time-consuming which makes it go beyond average in my own opinion. Thumb up and great job dude.

Thanks for the kind words, if you have any suggestions to make the videos better I would love to hear them.

The videos have a new intro now that makes it a bit cleaner.

What does everyone else think about this? Do we need better security standards to make sure that this does not happen?
376  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How I Crypto on: January 29, 2020, 08:26:59 PM
I use cryptocurrency bitcoin and altcoin only for investing and trading, not available using for legal transaction because my country not available using bitcoin as digital currency payment, but is okey when our government keep legal using bitcoin and altcoin for trading and investing assets.

You can use crypto in your country but you are allowed to trade it?
377  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: PSA: How to create a good Project Development Thread on: January 26, 2020, 10:36:01 PM
I'm planning to launch a project in the early or mid of 2021 and now I found this beautiful thread. This thread could be very helpful to me or those who want to create an informative and high-quality announcement thread. Well, great job!

Thanks for the kind words Smiley Hopefully, more people will see this and find it helpful.

Seems really interesting, I will check out the demo and see how it works. The site looks really clean though and would be really helpful if this works.

Seems like it would be dangerous to give access to exchange API's. Wouldn't it be possible to give the TX id's of all your addresses, and then you could run an audit on that?

When I click the generate a report, nothing happens in the demo.

I'd never trust a chinese company with my money. Like someone else said, what if their government steps in? Or the US can cut it's head, just like they did with huawei. I sound like im trashing the chinese, but they always ruin everything for everybody.
China and the United States have more power than other countries, crypto-currency projects in that country are also very risky to expect news from the country, still remember the NEO? NEO fell sharply when the Chinese government banned crypto currencies, the price of NEO before that was still at $ 50-70, and now only $ 11

Not that I like NEO, but tbf all crypto dropped during that time. Bitcoin was once 20k. Good times
