361  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why ethereum classic is performing well? on: August 21, 2019, 08:27:43 AM
based on the articles you keep publishing on your website it seems like you are playing fast and loose with the term "performing well" and its meaning!

in the altcoin world an altcoin is performing well when it is pumping at least 50% in a day. otherwise it is performing poorly and if it is not rising at all or anything below 5% then it is losing you money (as a trader in the altcoin market) because other altcoins are getting pumped much bigger and traders are making profit there.

this is what you are calling "performing well":

362  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Win a Lamborghini Huracan LP 580-2!! on: August 21, 2019, 07:38:12 AM
i recently made some deposits on the site and while they were unconfirmed none of them showed up on top. the amount was credited successfully and as soon as they got the first confirmation so there is no issue there, but i was wondering if there is any new conditions for the pending (deposit) transactions to show up in the front page on top, like minimum fee or something like that? they used to be shown.
363  Economy / Speculation / Re: $3B Ponzi Scheme is Dumping BTC by the Hundreds on: August 21, 2019, 07:21:46 AM
it is funny that nobody does a simple calculation to realize how fake these numbers that have been spreading by the news sites are.
here is what they are basically saying: "$3 billion dollar worth of bitcoin was sold and price only went down about 5% and came back up in less than 12 hours". so either bitcoin market grew ridiculously big overnight and we missed it that it could absorb this many coins sold without moving at all or the number was a big lie!
364  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: won`t all the miners join the same pool? or 1 pool become bigger than the rest? on: August 21, 2019, 07:07:18 AM
you have to first make up your mind whether you want to discuss about mining "pools" and their size or mining "farms" and their size. they are not the same thing. and people joining the same pool doesn't make the "farm" bigger!

you still have the same luck and get paid the same if you join a pool with a lot of hashrate or a small one with lower hashrate. and 1 pool with a lot of hashrate is still doing the same amount of work as multiple pools with the same sum of hashrate. you won't be pushed out! the only reason why people join a couple of them only is because there are few mining pools and their options are better.
365  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Twitterarians can you weigh in. Does @Bitcoin support Bitcoin again? on: August 21, 2019, 06:53:37 AM
I think that Roger Ver will "forget" about his anti-bitcoin core views, because BCH is a complete failure.

if we consider BCH goal to be an altcoin that they sell to newbies who think they are buying bitcoin and also to have a centralized coin they can fully control while they pump and dump it to make profit, i wouldn't call it a "complete" failure.
that is why they have not yet given up on it and if you visit their hangouts you can see they are still spreading pretty much the same nonsense.
366  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: trade against USD or BTC? on: August 21, 2019, 03:56:34 AM
it depends on your goals.
everyone who is in the market wants to make profit and they are mostly "investors". this means they want to invest in something that has a long term potential and that thing is bitcoin. so what they do is that they initially buy bitcoin then to increase their "bitcoin" they trade altcoins.
so when bitcoin price goes down they don't care because they are still increasing their bitcoin possession and in the long run that will be a lot more profitable.

by the way, even if you wanted to trade against fiat you must choose "fiat" not a fiat equivalent such as another altcoin called USDT.
367  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: platform or some resource !? on: August 20, 2019, 08:41:14 AM
you don't need some platform or resource, i can tell you now that there are about 100-150 different people selling signals and none of them are reliable. it is a known fact that anybody in any market (not just bitcoin) that is "selling signal" is a scammer with no idea how to trade themselves so they have to earn money doing something else which is why they choose to sell the signal instead of using it themselves to make money. they know how bad it is!

the reason why they continue to exist is that there is always people who are bad at trading or don't know what they are doing so they think if they follow some "expert" they could become successful. and the scammers exploit that need.
368  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Binance Announces Venus project to put fiat into blockchain on: August 20, 2019, 07:45:22 AM
so basically Binance is a more ambitious version of Bitfinex? both are exchanges, while bitfinex focuses on bitcoin trading and has some altcoin pairs, binance focuses only on altcoins.
when Bifrnex only created one stable coin and supposedly pegged it to USD and is shady as hell, Binance keeps creating stable coins and supposedly pegs them to fiat while it is still just as shady as Bitfinex. what worries me the most is the centralized power they are gaining over the altcoin market. eventually they can even end up deciding the fate of an altcoin with their full control and pump and dumps of the said altcoin.
369  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Trust the process on: August 20, 2019, 07:30:03 AM
Trading altcoins and bitcoin is not always about skill.
i strongly disagree. trading is always about skills. then there are other factors that have small effects on the final result. but the main factor is always going to be skills.

Sometimes, my poor decisions fetch me profits; while well researched projects messes up;
then maybe you are doing it wrong.
for example you may be doing things that you think are "research" while you are just looking up misleading sources that give you wrong information.
370  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you really think bitcoin will reach 100k $ in 2021 on: August 20, 2019, 07:11:53 AM
this topic and some of the replies is yet another reason why we are in a similar situation as 2015 and 2012, and a couple of other older cases. we are yet in another slowed down situation where price isn't making big jumps like the previous phase (2017) and everyone starts seeing some big prediction (it was $20k, $50k in 2015 and is $100k, $300k for 2019) and start thinking whether it is possible just because the "number looks big".
you can even find topics about people speculating price reaching $1 back in the early days and other being skeptical about the price being too big to reach Wink
371  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Terrorists Turn to Bitcoin for Funding, and They’re Learning Fast (NYT article) on: August 20, 2019, 06:42:02 AM
lol, where is NYT article about when US invented terrorists in the region mainly Al Qaeda and ISIS back in the days of their war with Russia and CIA was literary funding these terrorists using the good old US dollar? and they still do fund them through USD because they benefit from the terror they are causing even if this demon they created is biting everyone in the ass.

What do you think this "news" would do to affect bitcoin price? Or increase adoption, by Streisand effect? Smiley
nothing. it is not the first bullshit the media publishes against bitcoin and it won't be the last.
372  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: New self-proclaimed Satoshi Nakamoto's reveal is a complete epic fail? on: August 20, 2019, 06:23:54 AM
this method has been tried a couple of times before and it gained semi popularity but the interesting part is that they always fail as the predefined date is reached. basically they start their spam and redirect some traffic to the websites they create where they try to sell something (not sure what this dude is selling though) then as the deadline is reached they reveal their scam and fail. the following day, they will no longer even exist!
373  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: XRP and BCH on: August 18, 2019, 08:25:20 AM
XRP or BCH is a solid coin and is in the top 5 coin marketcap. I think dividing our investment in these two coins is also good because both coins have great liquidity and are currently cheaper than last year's prices. XRP and BCH have a large community and also have products.
First, what makes them solid? What real use case do they have that will make the project to continue to last in the market. Ripple is just a shadow in its own place and I don’t see much around it, it has been standing there  on that position all along without much volume, and have you ever asked yourself what is still making it still occupying that seat when there is nothing happening much around it.

Bitcoin cash on the other hand is a fork, and most fork coins are more like a scam coin, most of the fork coins are just relying on the glory of bitcoin and they will fade out of the market over time, the only coin that is still the most tested and reliable coin is bitcoin for anyone to invest in, all these BCH, XRP are just low quality project that will not stay long.

"solid" in this context (and usually in this board) means only being on top of some arbitrary list even if it is fake (that is the coinmarketcap.com list) and being pumped. and since both of these shitcoins satisfy these two conditions, they consider them "solid" even if they are shitcoins and even if they are centralized and scams.
that is the biggest problem with this market. and that is why we have no "real solid" altcoins anymore. because people like him only care about pumpability instead of utilities. and shitcoins are the best for pumping.
374  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: BTC volume is decrease significantly, anyone can forecast? on: August 18, 2019, 07:45:21 AM
recently BTC value and volume trading is decreasing significantly,
maybe it is because you are looking at the wrong charts or maybe you are reading them wrong.
the volume has actually increased over the past week. and not just a small 10% rise or something like that, but instead a huge rise of 250%
the price is also mostly stable between $10k and $13k going up and down. the only thing out of ordinary was the drop below $10k which lasted less than a day.

Quote
is the investor shifting to other trading; gold, stocks or else?
those investors who have both bitcoin and stocks and gold as their portfolio (for real diversification) don't switch. they have ALL at the same time.
and if anything they buy more bitcoin whenever there is a drop hence the 250% increase in volume as the price dipped a little.
375  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Should we have to follow the footmarks of top traders? on: August 18, 2019, 07:29:06 AM
no.
because first of all no "REAL" top trader who is ACTUALLY successful is going to ever waste their time and betray their own privacy to reveal what they are doing in the market. we are talking about a big risk here, they can easily be targeted if others knew who they were and how much money they were handling.
the result is that whoever you see is publishing their trading history is either newcomers like yourself that are sharing their thoughts or scammers who are trying to pump some shitcoin they are trying to dump.

secondly, the best case scenario is that you find a real deal but following any trade is not going to give YOU any money because you would be already late! entering and exiting the market specially in the highly volatile and manipulated altcoin market always requires being fast. so by the time you see what they did, it is already too late.
376  Economy / Speculation / Re: What makes Bitcoin price fluatuates throughout 2019 on: August 18, 2019, 07:19:55 AM
The price of BTC is fluctuated mostly by the multi-level Ponzi systems. In early 2019, the Ponzi projects appeared like garbage and it also partly affected the price of BTC to fly up from 3k to 14k.

haha, it is so funny how newcomers sometimes think when it comes to bitcoin price.
this dude thinks something that nobody has even heard of before the news sites started talking about it and making it big a couple of days ago is the reason why for the past 8 months price has been rising Cheesy
not to mention that the amount of money that went into this scam wasn't even big enough to cause a 5% rise in bitcoin price let alone 366%....
377  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin to make Hard move up or Break down Hard on: August 18, 2019, 07:08:05 AM
4 digit price (that is anything below $10k) is most probably gone for good and will never happen. what we had wasn't a drop either, it was an attempt to push the price lower for a better accumulation price (in other words to be able to buy cheaper bitcoin) that failed due to the high buying pressure that goes against this action. which is why it is so hard to be broken and even if it is broken it will be temporary. the attempts have not stopped though, it is the same as $4k price that we had recently this year. a lot of pressure is trying to prevent the rise but it will breakout and shoot up because of it.
378  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Ethereum getting old? on: August 17, 2019, 07:29:52 AM
ethereum was doomed from the start. i am mostly surprised about people's surprise when they see ETH going on the path that it was supposed to go. not to mention that it is a path that has been taken by many altcoins before ETH.
with unlimited supply, no immutability, with centralization and a huge premine and lack of scaling and ton of other issues, you should have been surprised if it weren't doomed.

as for the price, it is only short term pumps that keeps it alive. for example the 2017 pumps were the biggest ones that were accompanied by the ICO hype and together they led to a huge price rise that was unrealistic for such a project. so it had no other way to go but down 90%.
379  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: “PlusToken” is trying to cash out 74k BTC, How can we stop their dumping? on: August 17, 2019, 07:11:26 AM
there is nothing we can or should do. it is a free market and anybody (even scammers) should be able to sell their bitcoins.
however, what we should have done is to not let token creation become a thing 2 years ago when everyone was happy when they a completely shitty ICO create a ton of useless tokens and dump it on their heads. this scam is no different than the other thousands of ICO scams.

besides this news is mostly fake and was released because of the recent bitcoin price drop. otherwise these scammers have been exiting for a while and they don't have nearly as many bitcoins that is being claimed on these shitty news sites.
380  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: My Trading Success on: August 17, 2019, 07:00:54 AM
Lucky to those who buy bitcoin while the price was still 3k up. Bitcoin might go up now for good, and we may not see Bitcoin again to at the 3k price forever.. Or Bitcoin might go below $2k to $3k for another consolidation.
It is not the luck as I've think of it. They just buy bitcoin that time cause they know that bitcoin will recover from the dips and headed for another bull run.  They believe that will happen, that is why they never lost such opportunity as it only knock once. And they are not wrong,  the price is really surprising and profiting.
I do say that it is somehow mixed up some sort of luck when we do tried to get in without any clear bottom. We know that crypto is very unpredictable.

We wouldn't know if the price would go lower that 3k into those times. The only difference is that those people tend to put up risk on getting in to that price and that
particular action did really pays off.

trading is not about knowing what the price is going to be or when simply because it is impossible to "know" it without a magical power!
trading is all about speculation which is a fancy world for educated guess. in other words you analyze the market, the value of what you are trying to buy and then decide whether the value of it is higher or lower than the current price and also analyze whether in the future it is going to gain value or lose it (base on utilities).
for bitcoin, $3000 was a lot lower than the intrinsic value of bitcoin. which meant price shouldn't have even reached there in first place and that makes buying at that price an excellent choice. now even if price went any lower you still wouldn't have lost anything. why? take a look at current price!

and that is how trading should work. not based on luck and random guesses based on gut feeling.
