1341  Economy / Speculation / Re: Market's on minimum, time to buy? on: November 18, 2018, 06:36:38 AM
If you are confident that the prices will not go down any further, then you can proceed with your plans to purchase Bitcoin. But I don't think that you can be sure about that now. The trend indicates that the prices will fall even more.

It's really hard to see where the price could end up at this point. But if you wanted to be what they called a bag holder and long term holder then you don't have to be a rocket scientist. Just invest today and don't bother with the price for a year or two. But if you're going to short bitcoin then I say this is not the right time to do that trick.

And i don't think it's a good idea to short bitcoin anyways.  Lots of people lost money trying to do that this year. And who knows if the price would still move down further. It's a risk. Buy now if you plan on making btc a long term investment.

like everything else shorting bitcoin can also be profitable only if done correctly.
for example if you short bitcoin just because some FUD said it is going to fall to $1500 then obviously that is not a good idea, in fact that is a very dumb idea!
but if shorting was performed during the bubble burst and the crash of earlier this year then it was a good idea because that was a real downtrend and you could take advantage to make some money to t hen buy back more bitcoin at the bottom.

right now is one of those times that people should focus on buying because this is below the buy support line!
1342  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will you cash out your bitcoins for Black Friday? on: November 18, 2018, 06:23:15 AM
that doesn't make any sense!
if you want to purchase something then do it with bitcoin, there is no reason to convert bitcoin back to fiat then using that fiat to buy stuff. and if you want to purchase with fiat then i am sure that everyone owns fiat, it is not like people invest every single dime they have in bitcoin to have to sell it to get some fiat back!!!
not to mention that with the current bitcoin discount that is going on you should be buying bitcoin instead of selling it Cheesy
1343  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you know any "whale"? If you do post it here! on: November 18, 2018, 06:13:14 AM
a whale is someone who was wise enough to invest in bitcoin and increase his stake in it. usually they start earlier and then on each rise and fall they make more profit.
just like anybody else they don't go around advertising how much bitcoin they own. will you tell us how much YOU own? i guess not... so you can not expect whales to do it either.

this is pure bullshit that they were spreading at the time. there is no way you can calculate that specially since whales are wise enough to not hold all their coins in one address but also since most of the data they are using belongs to exchanges so in other words a great number of those "1000 people" are exchanges not people!!!
1344  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think that any altcoin is worth investing in? on: November 17, 2018, 07:31:07 AM
when you invest in an altcoin you want profit, don't you? so where does profit come from? isn't it anything other than the coin getting pumped? now ask yourself this: is there any altcoin that is not pumped?
the answer is no. all the altcoins that i have seen, and i have seen a lot of them, have been pumped and being pumped means there is profit in it. so they worth investing in but the important question that you should have asked was when to invest in each of these coins. and the answer to that is: whenever they are getting pumped.
1345  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price goes up, again!!! Will XRP be the crypto saver? on: November 17, 2018, 07:25:34 AM
Credibility has power. Yes, when some coin is associated with government, believe me it starts the golden journey. Government always work for betterment of their people so that is indirectly getting trust of users.

not really. at least not in this market it won't. because here people come in mostly for decentralization and lack of any governments to meddle in. so any kind of government involvement in any project will mean its failure.
you can take a look at Venezuela's Petro as a good example of a government involvement in a cryptocurrency which leads to miserable failure.
1346  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Returning from Crypto Coma. Help with Bitcoin Cash Fork! on: November 17, 2018, 07:12:00 AM
i believe that the fork of Electrum called Electron cash has released a new version which is compatible with the BCHABC fork and since Electrum and its forks are compatible with hardware wallets such as Ledger Nano, it means you can use that SPV wallet to spend your BCHABC coins.

i think for BCHSV coin you have to download the full node version of it but my information on the matter is limited since i have not claimed it myself yet. i only had some BCH on exchanges which i dumped the airdrop fast.
1347  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Relationship between BTC, Hash Rate, BCH on: November 17, 2018, 07:09:04 AM
Sorry, I just fail to understand how you see this as "normal." Its been on a definite decline for the past month if go by lower lows and lower highs.
i call it normal because it has been happening the same exact way for years and if you go to left you will see that too.
also it is not price to have lower lows and higher highs Cheesy

It looks like China shutting down farms might be the main contributing factor. I was just curious as to how much mining was pulled from BTC to BCH, seems like it might also be a factor.
if Chinese farms shut down the hashrate will drop a lot more than this. whereas this is a very small drop in hashrate
1348  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Relationship between BTC, Hash Rate, BCH on: November 16, 2018, 11:12:15 AM
there is no "lowered hashrate" for bitcoin. the hash rate is pretty much the same as it has always been in the past 3 months.

maybe it is bitcoin-cash hashrate that you were looking at. that dropped significantly. and it is because BCH is splitting into two different chains and miners are splitting with it too going one one of the two chains so the hashrate of BCH is dropping.

Actually there is a lowered BTC hash rate. Just look at this chart. It plateaud in October and has been dropping all November:

https://www.blockchain.com/charts/hash-rate

how you see this as a "plateau" i do not know. but whatever this is, it is normal. you can check any other month or period of time to see the same ups and downs in hashrate!

there are multiple topics in this board and speculation board. try reading some of them. i think you may get your answer.

I did read them but there's nothing that specifically answers my question. Thanks for your "advice."
well that is their answer! it doesn't change in a different topic. there is no real relationship between them and all we have is "speculation".
1349  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is happening? on: November 16, 2018, 06:27:10 AM
$3000 seems pretty logical. if the current bounce ends as a lower high and the dump continues, we should form a pretty strong bearish trend. $3k is a major support level from 2017. lots of bulls will be waiting to buy there.
True. $3k is the price from August 1st, 2017. It was when BTC was forked, for the first time.

not really! you can never predict these things. if the dumping pressure on the market continues then the final bottom can be literary any number. there is no reason for it to stop at $3k just because it was the price at some arbitrary time in the past.
all we know for sure right now is that the large scale dumping so far couple only push price in $5k levels and failed to push it any lower. and also right now price is BELOW the real bottom.
1350  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: this is the answer? on: November 16, 2018, 06:21:27 AM
many people who always expect the bull run to happen again this year (to be exact at the end of the year)
you are wrong. this "many people" whom you are talking about have been expecting a bull run (aka pump) in altcoin market almost every month in the past 11 months. if you check their topics you can see that there is at least a dozen of them each month talking about how the bull run is going to happen in that month.

Quote
and as we know in 2017 the bull run takes place in mid-November
you are wrong.
bitcoin is always in a bull run if you zoom out. in short term (if you want to call it bull runs) it started in late 2016 and ended after a couple of months in 2017 then we had multiple smaller bull runs that summed up the $20k.
as for altcoins their pumps are usually shorter and happen every month. there was no end of the year pump but the whole year pump.

Quote
in fact what is happening now is a bear run.
well the problem is that altcoins are still in bubbles so they need to get dumped a lot more to reach bottom.

Quote
that a bull run won't be happen this year, but this year is a special year for a bear run.
like always you are making the common mistake of seeing the whole 2000+ altcoins as a whole! the fact is that the dumps are mostly happening for the top altcoins. otherwise the smaller altcoins have been getting pumps (bull runs) all year long!!!

I'd like to hear some clear-cut theories about the relationship between a falling BTC and the shenanigans in BCH.

1352  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is happening? on: November 15, 2018, 01:26:34 PM

Personally i think it was more like a confusion instead of manipulation, because they gave a false information to many peoples using medias.
that was why they created a fear inside of their heart and telling them that Bitcoin will not survive because of this.
(hash power,dump and many more).

how can people be confused about something that is perfectly clear? it is an altcoin that is being forked and they have always been clear about it. they never said "fork bitcoin" they said "fork bitcoin cash". it doesn't get any clearer.

by the way the FUD i am talking about is the FUD that has been circulating for a while and was started by Craig Wright himself when he started saying he will sell 1 million bitcoin to crash bitcoin price! as you can see he did nothing of sorts not just because he can't but he doesn't want to. i am sure he h as been buying bitcoin in the past 24 hours.
1353  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DO WE NEED TO REGULATE ICOs? on: November 15, 2018, 07:09:00 AM
no because first of all regulating ICOs will not solve anything, there will still be scammy ICOs that will continue to scam you. and also because this whole market is unregulated and mostly decentralized and people want it to remain that way, regulations require centralizing the market and that will never happen because of how cryptocurrencies work.

what we need is education! we need to inform everyone in the scene how ICOs work and to help them understand that they shouldn't just hand over their money to an ICO just because they hope for some profit.
1354  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: You think the Crypto market will keep growing? on: November 15, 2018, 07:00:30 AM
of course the cryptocurrency market will continue growing. anybody who said it will die is an idiot or possibly you misunderstood them and they in fact said certain altcoins (most of them) are going to die which is correct.

what we will have is a growth which is mostly bubble because of shitcoins and this will be the growth for a long time in the future too. but also there is growth of some better coins and eventually the shitcoins will all die and be replaced by better altcoins and then we will see real growth.
1355  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is happening? on: November 15, 2018, 06:50:44 AM
in one word: manipulation.

and the manipulators always love situations like this. only those who aren't active traders are always surprised by these things otherwise others are quite happy at the moment with their shorts, their low bid buy orders and all the other things they are pulling in the current situation to make profit from a market that was completely stable and without any profit for a while.

Doctor Craig Wright is dumping his one million coins, that is what is happening.
He is not Satoshi, but Satoshi (Dave Kleiman) holded these coins for him during some time, according to a document.

you are probably one of those people who believes the Nigerian prince stories and give them your private information too Wink
1356  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Just calm the f$%^ down, this is not the end of Bitcoin. on: November 15, 2018, 06:46:45 AM
actually the panic, considering the scale of the FUD, has been pretty small in my opinion.

we have had a lot of FUD recently with bitcoin cash shitshow and a lot of manipulators have become active in past couple of days trying to push the price down. we also had a mass panic that caused this recent drop.
considering this situation and comparing it with previous ones we always had at least a 30% drop in less than 6 hours but as you can see it is barely 10% drop which has stopped in its early stages.
1357  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New cryptocurrency the “Petro” on: November 14, 2018, 06:51:22 AM
when it comes to trading, i don't that much of a difference between this coin and any other altcoin. the fact that it is created by the Venezuelan government doesn't change much in my opinion. if this coin were to be listed on exchanges that i have an account on, and if i can speculate its pump and dumps then i would surely invest and make my profit in short term and get back out of it like what i have been doing with any other altcoin so far.
1358  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: HAVE YOU GIVEN UP ON ICOs YET? on: November 14, 2018, 06:39:32 AM
all ICOs are scams because none of them have delivered anything at all. they only received the money and went away and stopped doing any additional work. that is the definition of a scam. it has nothing to do with price of bitcoin! you are trying so hard to justify things that are not justifiable. the fact is IPO has always been a terrible idea and will always be that way and it opens up room for scamming people. ICO is a worse version of IPO which is even more scammy.
1359  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why all coins Getting down what happened??? on: November 14, 2018, 06:30:22 AM
you shouldn't confuse 1-2% rise of falls with actual going up and down. these are small and meaningless and for altcoins it means their market is currently dead.

but generally speaking, these days there are still a lot of dumps ongoing because most of the altcoins are still in bubbles that have not completely burst yet. so they get dumped to go down and get out of those bubbles. and this will continue until they reach bottom and their real value.
1360  Economy / Speculation / Re: Prediction of Bitcoin Prices 2018-2022 on: November 14, 2018, 06:22:17 AM
i generally dislike websites like this which make random predictions for bitcoin price without much of an analysis and then try to get traffic to make money! this specific  website is one of the worst ones in my opinion specially since in the past it had a lot of nonsense predictions mostly posted to get attention based on the ongoing trend of that time.

as for my own prediction in this time frame i expect 2019 to be the bull market for bitcoin which will start up slowly at first and then we may even see a new ATH mainly because of the big news that we have these days and will be hard at work next year.
