Crypto currency is suppose to turn the middle class into rich people

this little flawed way of thinking is the exact reason why the altcoin market is a shitshow instead of being a market where we keep seeing innovations and alternative ways of using the greatest technology called blockchain technology!

people have been misled into thinking cryptocurrency is a way of making money and becoming rich and because of that we currently have pump and dump shitcoins instead  of having actual "Crypto-Currencies" and that is sad and that is why the altcoins are dying hard these days. people are simply dumping what they pumped before.
1282  Economy / Speculation / Re: Yet another worse scenario a head of BTC on: December 05, 2018, 06:27:10 AM
the only way that bitcoin price can have another major drop lower that the previous low that was reached is that if we see another major manipulation similar to what we had when this last big drop occurred. i am referring to the BCash fork attack. and since we have no more of that coming so i do not expect any kind of drop
not to mention that drops never come out of nowhere! they need some sort of initiation that needs to be stronger since price is so much lower and it has become extremely hard to push it any lower than this.
1283  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Are there more profitable cryptocurrencies than Bitcoin? on: December 05, 2018, 06:11:57 AM
in short term:
of course, there are LOTS of altcoins that can be more profitable than bitcoin. for example bitcoin at best case scenario in the past has gone up about 30 to 40% in one week but there has been shitcoins that have gotten pumped 1000000 (1 million) percent in a couple of days. so they can be more profitable than bitcoin in short term.
but also altcoins are riskier because they get dumped just as much and lose that 1 million % pump as fast as they gained it. so you have to be careful to dump them before they dump on you.

in long term:
NO.
so far no altcoin could outperform bitcoin in the long run mainly because  altcoin rises are pumps and pumps can not last long without a dump. and when they get dumped they drop sharply and go down to their initial price or even lower.
1284  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: BTC/USD update 12/3/2018 on: December 05, 2018, 05:59:34 AM
the problem with this kind of analysis is that technical analysis is completely worthless for bitcoin and right now the market is under manipulation which means everything you know and analyze becomes even more worthless!

in other words you can't predict what can happen by looking at lower highs, and higher lows and stuff like that. as for supports, i don't think we have any meaningful level anymore. anything can be broken and it can mean nothing.
and i think we will see this unpredictable market for at least another 3 months.

I dont Think so.

A good Technical Analysis will show you what side the market is been manipulated, and you wil follow the manipulation.

By my experience This market appears to be Much less manipulated than any other market, the imediate trend is quite predictable. I may say its easier to trade.

Technical analysis is there to predict the market not to talk about it after it happened. of course you can see the manipulation using TA afterwards but not before hand and that is what i am trying to say. when there is manipulation it means it is breaking every rule and because of that it becomes unpredictable.

as for comparison, comparing bitcoin to altcoins obviously it is far less manipulated. but comparing it to other bigger markets like stocks market bitcoin is very manipulated that is another reason for why TA won't work.
1285  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Decentralized System Disadvantages on: December 05, 2018, 05:49:55 AM
Probably the parting of people with different opinions into multiple factions. If certain people disagree with how bitcoin is moving forward due to different opinions on how things should work, they split off and fork bitcoin. A perfect example of this would be the big blockers, whereas they forked off and created Bitcoin Cash(BCH). As bitcoin moves forward, there's definitely going to be more of this. With a decentralized system, there's no centralized authority to make the decisions hence the splits in the community. I think this is both an advantage and a disadvantage.

this is a great explanation for this, you are definitely right. I wonder how many more coins we will have, its an indefinite amount i assume.

it is true that it is super easy to create a new coin but not every creation is a good one. coming up with an innovation and also implementing it in the best way possible is the key to have more than one actual coin, otherwise copycoins such as BCH,... are worthless shitcoins that shouldn't even be counted towards total number of "coins" we have.
1286  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it true that 99% of ICOs are either failed or scam? on: December 04, 2018, 07:02:25 AM
i'd say 100% of them are useless and have absolutely no reason to exist!
the problem is not about them running away, the problem is that they give hyped up promises that they can not deliver. they know it, people who invest in it know it, only newbies don't know it. so they all become worthless and you can even call them scams because basically someone got paid for some hot air!

I see a lots of ICO with the use of their coins are similar. They raised money, got them and ran away.
And then have you even considered almost all of the major coins have started from ico? and is there an opinion about that? They have got money and then disappear but that can be applied to the scam ico. Even some icos are still continuing the project whatever how much raised.

when your pump and dump is successful, you stick around. as soon as you can no longer pump the coin like before you dump it and give up. eventually all of the creators move on to better things such as jobs with banks, government,... or start new coins to start pumping from scratch...
1287  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what is the state of ETH now in terms of scalability? on: December 04, 2018, 06:50:02 AM
it has been over 2 years that ethereum developers keep promising to solve the scaling problem while failing to do so because they know that it is not something that they can solve. the design itself is broken and ethereum is fundamentally flawed and that means it cannot be fixed.
so far what the developers and everyone else has been interested in has been profit and they achieved that by pump and dumping so nobody cares about it anymore.

1289  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin to drop to 43$ and then die on: December 04, 2018, 06:20:18 AM
anyone who has ever called bitcoin dead and only focused on the price have always wanted to buy cheap coins otherwise they would have never talked about the price in first place. in this case the person spreading this bullshit thinks he can buy cheaper coins around $3500ish levels so he is pushing for that so that his buy orders can be filled and OP is just a naive noob who falls for this kind of spam thinking if he spams it here he can make it happen so that his $10 order can also be filled Wink
1290  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cannot wait for the Lightning Network to go mainstream!!! on: December 04, 2018, 06:08:53 AM
they have a 10 minute timeframe for the transaction to confirm.

10 minute window of confirmation for a bitcoin transaction is just dumb and it has nothing to do with fees, backlog or anything else. 10 minute is the average time when a block can be found. sometimes it is 1 second and sometimes it can go as high as 1 hour.

what websites that accept payment like this do is that they have a X minute payment window not "confirmation" which means you have to make the payment in that time frame or it will be invalid. and if you do then they will wait for it to confirm which can be longer than 10 min.

ps. have you contacted the website with suggestion to implement LN?
1291  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Good news for those who love Bitcoin on: December 04, 2018, 06:02:36 AM
i wouldn't really consider a reddit sub as a good indication of "good news" or "adoption" of bitcoin although it shows that too. mostly social media is filled with spammers and trolls rather than proving anything about adoption which can then be considered good news.
for that you have to check how many merchants are accepting bitcoin, how many transactions are being processed, how many full nodes there are, and the newest thing is: how many LN nodes with how much capacity is there
1292  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DingoDollars... DogeCoin Successor ? on: December 02, 2018, 07:22:39 AM
"joke coins" are never going to be successful. they can gain some popularity as people laugh at them for a short time but it will eventually die.
in the past we have had lots of them, most of which were created because of Dogecoin's tiny success and long survival but they all died after having a short run.
this coin that you are advertising here doesn't even have that hype about it, not to mention that the current market state is horrible enough to crush any half decent coin let alone a joke coin like this.
1293  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Cash vs Bitcoin SV on: December 02, 2018, 07:12:08 AM
I feel that if they accept cryptocurrency as a technology, then all these forks will simply disappear. And there will be one global currency, which will be the most ideal market option for all.

cryptocurrency is a technology and everyone accepts that but also they accept that this technology has a high value which is growing so they want to be a part of that growth and increase their own net worth. which is why we keep seeing these copy-coins spring out every now and then trying to make some money in this market. and it won't go away ever unless people start being dumb.
1294  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: before investing speak to a specialist on: December 02, 2018, 07:05:13 AM
you should know that this market is very different from traditional markets. so you can't go consult someone with experience in trading stocks to give you advice about trading altcoins! unless you are new to investment in general and want general advice about investing your money then that is a different matter.
and as it was mentioned earlier you can't find anyone in this market who is going to give you good advice so not seeking advice is better for you than seeking it.
1295  Economy / Speculation / Re: Would Bitcoin become irrelevant or remain the King? on: December 02, 2018, 06:59:22 AM
So I am a big bitcoin enthusiast, but I realize it has problems. Also more and more people are trying to perfect their algorithms.
What if they reach their goals and bitcoin becomes irrelevant?
The price drop isn't showing that great either!
It is not as simple, bitcoin is not only a technology it is also a currency and one of the more important things a currency needs is the trust of the people, if it was not for the trust people have in the US dollar it would have crashed a very long time ago, people trust in bitcoin a lot more than in all the other coins put together so the chances it will become irrelevant are low.

Remember when the sentiment fell after 2014 amd then for the next 2 years when it seemed the dream was over? The argument then was all about "blockchain not Bitcoin". Then we saw the flight of frenzy with altcoins and platforms for dapps, all with superior tech, scalability, tps, etc.

Then 2017 came along and showed, after all, Bitcoin had not become irrelevant. Far from that. It introduced the tech to the masses, sure. But it's uniqueness as a currency, as a new form of money... That's never going to grow old in our lifetime.

you can't call others such as DApps,... as "superior technology" to bitcoin because it is not the same thing, it is a different technology designed to do a different thing. bitcoin is a currency and the reason why it is staying on top is because despite what people like OP think it is still the best decentralized payment system out there.
1296  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi Nakamoto P2P new post on: December 02, 2018, 06:51:33 AM
...
Usually in a split the losers implement replay protection and Craig did it first. The price also says a lot about his coin. It's trading for 50% of BCH price. There's still a chance for SV buyers to make some money. If Bitcoin goes up in value it will take even the most worthless forks up with it.

not necessarily. in fact most of bitcoin rises have been accompanied by altcoins dropping hard since every trading in the cryptocurrency market would rush towards bitcoin whenever the price of it is rising so they have to dump their altcoins and gather up all their funds to put in bitcoin.
1297  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Zero-Fee Blockchains Encourage Transaction Spamming on: November 30, 2018, 07:00:16 AM
in a decentralized network that you can not prevent people from creating as many key pairs ("accounts") as they like, there is no way to "ban" an attacker.
Well seems like you are not much aware of EOS then. The witnesses have combined power of banning accounts, reversing transactions and locking funds. So yes, if someone keeps spamming the network, then they can lose their staked amount. And as you might know, in order to spam EOS chain, you'd need a large amount of EOS staked.
that is true, i am not that familiar with EOS. but in my experience the term "witness nodes" is another term for centralization of nodes where they are the ones deciding everything on the network and can ban anyone that they want. which was my point above too, that you can not have centralization + 0 fee + spam protect at the same time.
not to mention that every spam attacker on bitcoin network had a large amount of money to spare so your last statement about large amount of EOS is moot.
1298  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Market manipulation? on: November 30, 2018, 06:46:46 AM
the fact that altcoins are getting dumped in the past couple of weeks or possibly months has nothing to do with market manipulation. it is the natural course that a pumped altcoin should take as the money exits to get the profit out of them since nobody has any real faith in their future.s

the market manipulation of altcoins was mainly happening last year when they were getting pumped a lot and rose to stupidly unrealistic price levels and you were happy thinking they are being adopted for real! that was a fake pump aka manipulation not this dump that is the natural thing to follow that up.
1299  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin disrupt gold. bitcoin sv disrupt bitcoin on: November 30, 2018, 06:37:54 AM
bitcoin has nothing to do with gold and it has never disrupted anything about it. you are literary the first one who says this while others might have only compared the two.

as for BSV, that is just an altcoin and it has never disrupted bitcoin. BCash has disrupted bitcoin but not price-wise as you think. it has done it by spam attacking the network and also by taking the hashrate and causing more troubles in short term for bitcoin mining. and also obviously the FUD they spread and the fact that they are scamming newbies into buying BCash in the name of bitcoin.
1300  Economy / Speculation / Re: Guys calm down and relax. Its going to be fine. on: November 30, 2018, 06:32:14 AM
the whale accumulation has been becoming a very common thing for a couple of years now. people keep on blaming the whales for owning a lot of bitcoin but forget that they could have done the same if they didn't go against the market themselves meaning sell at the bottom and buy on top!
the thing is, for the past 4 or 5 months there has been an accumulation going on, and this month the whales tried to accumulate at a lower price and that is why the price was pushed down. everyone knows price will shoot up to the moon sooner or later but only whales are buying more and others are waiting for it to be too late before buying it!
