All in all, I think Sainz is the guy that got fkced in the ass with all the driver movement.  Not really sure if Merc wants him to replace Hamilton.

And another thing, I think Leclerc is fcked.  Hamilton will be a tough team mate.
Sainz to Mercedes, I haven't heard such talks. If nothing unexpected won't happen, he will go to Sauber/Audi. Even his father few weeks ago said that Carlos is interest in Audi F1 project. And Vettel, it doesn't looks that he still have interest in F1.

He'll be 40 years old when he goes there.

Don't get me wrong, the guy's a legend and is still going strong. But come on, this sport takes all you've got. Can a 42-year old guy really do it against all the youngsters anymore?

I'm sure it isn't just for PR - they will expect results from him. I just feel it's too late and find this really bizarre.
I think that age isn't issue. Look at Alonso, it's difficult to tell that he is already 42 years old. Offcourse, Lewis isn't in his prime anymore, but I think that he is still capable to deliver result if he will get good car. But knowing Ferrari, it's difficult to expect that. Wouldn't be surprised if it would end in same way like Alonso or Vettel career at Ferrari.

Significant strikes have happened during the last two days in Crimea. Airfields first, and then a missile ship. I think that at this rate the Black Sea fleet is going to become the black sea open-sea aquarium if the war goes on for a year. Ruzzia is attacking wave after wave and smashing littles villages and a couple of mid-sized towns. I wonder if the economics work when comparing that with the Moscova, the submarine lost, the ILs and SUs lost and now a small-ish rocket boat from a few marine drone attack.

The crew of the ship... well, no chance of survival -  around 40 people punched the exit ticket from the world of the living. Just do not be stupid and do not die for Putin.

Black Sea fleet is eventually turning into submarine fleet. Saw video how they completely destroyed ship Ivanovets, that one looked really impressive. And it's all done by country that have no naval.:

Regarding to Il-76 that was hit by Ukraine recently. Russia tried to push version that this plane was full of Ukrainian POW's which were sent for exchange. If that would be case, I'm sure that Russia would show field full of dead bodies and parts of bodies. But all they have done is showing images of several bodies which is difficult to identify. And somehow it's difficult to believe that there was just 3 Russian troops to take care of 65 Ukrainia POW's. Sounds like way too small number of guards for such big number of Ukrainian's
363  Other / Off-topic / Re: The health benefits of Alcohol, Beers, Whisky and Red wines. on: February 01, 2024, 08:47:45 PM
Ok, let's agree that these benefits which mentioned in OP isn't excuse or reason to drink. You easy can find many foods and drinks which is more beneficial for your health.
But on the other hand, I hate when abstinent people are looking into these who drink glass of wine or bottle of beer like into worst kind of alcochol addicts. Like there is just white and black and nothing in between. In some countries alcochol is part of culture. In Italy or Spain it's normal to have glass of wine together with lunch, but somehow these countries don't have problems with alcochol addiction.

I don't have much knowledge about these other points the OP mentioned but if they are true drinking responsibly once in a while is not a bad idea. But the problem with alcohol is that you will always want to get high on this substance. It would have been better to drink a few glasses but each time, you are tempted to drink one or two bottles. In some cases you see people drinking heavily regularly which could destroy thier financial, family and health.
Don't agree with you. Everything depends on personality, not everyone want to get high on this substance. If you want to get high, then it's already first sign of addiction. Personally, I drink beer not because I want to get drunk. I like taste of it, I eat some snacks or chips with it, trying different beers from all over the world. To get drunk like a skunk I would have to drink huge number of bottles at once.
Though, I must admit that I had some problems with strong drinks like whiskey or vodka. I just didn't felt when it's time to stop. And when next day I hhad terrible hangover and thoughts "never again". And that "never again" lasted only few weeks or months until next time. Fortunately, it's already in past.

There is some huge news circulating like Hamilton is going to sign for Ferrari for 2025 season.  Shocked

The source: https://www.motorsport.com/f1/news/hamilton-set-to-make-shock-switch-to-ferrari-in-f1-2025/10571247/

Maybe this is why Ferrari haven't signed a new contract with Sainz yet. He is in his last year now and he is reported to be trying to sign a 2-year deal. On the other hand the Hamilton news are spreading very fast these days. Hamilton actually has 2 more years left on his contract with Mercedes. But maybe he has fed up with the team and he is looking for new adventures.

Do you think it would be good to have a duo like Leclerc - Hamilton at Ferrari? Even the thought of it is enough to make me excited!  Grin
So, it looks that we may get official press release already today, it's only matter of time. I read that Toto Wolf already confirmed news about Hamilton on Sky Sports News.
Very unexpected, we all thought it's going to boring off-season Cheesy. Hamilton to Ferrari, I didn't expected that one day I will see such thing. While Sainz is going to move to new Sauber/Audi project.

11 teams with 22 drivers is enough for F1 because it's a car race. it's different from motogp which races motorcycles that are not big in body when compared to cars. the more cars on the track the competition becomes less exciting. because fast cars like redbull become more and more without opponents and it's very easy to win the title. andreti is not a manufacture or car company like honda, ferari and more.
Andretti weren't accepted just because other teams don't want to get another competitor and share prize money with them. After all, this team have long history in multiple racing series and they would come to F1 with bigger ambitions than Haas for example.
365  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 23/24 European basketball discussion: Euroleague/BBL/ACB/LegaA/LNB/TBL.. on: February 01, 2024, 05:00:46 PM
After huge defeat in Kaunas against Zalgiris, Anadolou Efes sacked coach Erdem Can. It's already 8th coach in Euroleague who lost his job this season, so, it's almost half of teams. Efes previously had many injured players and lot of very close loses, but there is no excuses for yesterday's loss by 26 points. Having all main players available and you lose game already in 1st quarter - 34:14.
Interesting who will be their next coach, I guess that appointing assistant is just temporary option.
366  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Different wallets for each buying origin? on: January 31, 2024, 08:40:28 PM
Agree with post above that there is not much need to have separate wallet for each KYC exchange that you use. Though, it may helpful for account purposes and tracking of your coins, rather than mixing everything in one place.
Having separate wallet for non KYC exchanges isn't bad idea, but I think it's not must have thing for everyone. Personally, I have my BTC in several different wallets, but KYC/non-KYC isn't one of reasons why I do.
367  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Spanish La Liga ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread 2023/2024 on: January 31, 2024, 08:26:50 PM
Just watching Barca against Osasuna and it doesn't look good. In 5 minutes I have seen really poor unnecessary tackle from Araujo that could have resulted with penalty for Osasuna and then Barca youngster Fermin defending Osasuna goal better then their own players.

My bet is as always on both to score, looking good even if it is still 0:0 in min 30. Don't see this Barca keeping a clean sheet.
Unbeleavable, but Barca managed to keep clean sheet, it happens very rarely this season. But 1st half was such dull that I almost fall asleep literally. In 2nd half letting Roque to play was like breath of fresh air, he was everywhere. Maybe with today's performance he earned chance to play in starting lineup in next game.
368  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🌍⚽Sportsbet.io AFCON 2024 prediction pool discussion thread on: January 31, 2024, 08:16:11 PM
I totally agree with Igebotz, this is the best AFCON ever. Favorites all leaving so soon. Underdogs coming up far. Goals everywhere. Still loads of drama, still loads of cheating ref (duh lol) but we are having a treat.

New winner name I think will be written on this cup!!
Not that I saw many AFCON's, but this one can't be compare with previous tournament. Good number of goals scored, lot of drama and upsets. And all these upsets, we already have 5 Top ranked teams eliminated, I can't imagine such scenario in EURO. But at least I have excuse for my awful performance in pool.
From remaining teams, I already will refrain from predicting who can lift trophy.
369  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 23/24 European basketball discussion: Euroleague/BBL/ACB/LegaA/LNB/TBL.. on: January 30, 2024, 09:28:18 PM
Bayern Munich Baskonia match ended 94-94 in normal time. Bayern won the extra time with a score of 112-109.
This Bayern team is an unbalanced team and while they beat Baskonia at home, they can still lose at home to Asvel, the weakest team in the league in terms of performance.
If Pablo Laso stays in the team next year and the Bavarian team allocates a good budget for basketball, the Euroleague championship may come. The final four is very difficult this year.
Bayern - Baskonia was great game. Codi Miller-Mcintyre sent game to overtime with buzzer beater, but Bayern survived game in in overtime.
For me Bayern doesn't looks like team which have ambitions to win Euroleague soon. It's good organisation what comes from football, but they aren't ready to spend lot of money to win this trophy and don't get any returns. After all, in Europe you can't earn in basketball.
In other games Crvena Zvezda didn't had any troubles against Valencia. It was a bit strange to see many empty seats in Stark arena and calm atmosphere there. But maybe it's normal, after Belgrade derby this game looked meh.
370  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Portuguese League - Liga Portugal 2023/24 on: January 30, 2024, 08:32:13 PM
I'm commenting late, but I was waiting for all the games involving the 3 big teams to finish before I could comment. I will start with the Farense game against Porto, this was a game that in my opinion the difference between both teams was in the efficiency of Porto's attack and the inefficiency of Farense's attack, while Farense created danger for Porto's defense but wasted goals , Porto did not waste goals at every good opportunity. If the Farense player had a good attack, then they would have achieved a draw in this game. Congratulations to Porto who played well and were very efficient in attack, a team should not waste every opportunity they have to score a goal. with this victory, Porto remains in third place and in the race for the title, it is still possible that Porto can overcome Benfica and Sporting, I say this because in the Portuguese league this is possible, if it were in the league of Italy, Spain, France and Germany I highly doubt that the second third place with a difference of 5 points would be able to overtake the top team

Amateur star played against Benfica, in a game in which I saw Benfica winning, but I confess that I was surprised by the fact that Benfica conceded a goal and were losing, it was a goal that could have been avoided by Benfica's defense. Benfica's goalkeeper saved the first shot, but when defending he returned the ball to the same player who shot the ball, and as Benfica's goalkeeper was leaving the ground, he had little space and time to save the second shot, as result the amateur star scored a goal. Still in the 1 half, the amateur star was very close to scoring the second goal, without a goalkeeper, the amateur star's attacker was unable to score the second goal. Benfica reacted and managed to score 1 goal and with that the game was tied, but it's funny that it only took 1 minute for Benfica to score the second goal and the 1 half ended. In the 2nd half, in the first minutes, Benfica scored the third goal, and then Benfica scored the fourth goal and won the game. In my opinion, the amateur star did well in the 1 half but the fact that they didn't take advantage of all the opportunities they had meant they left that game with just 1 goal

Sporting played against Casa Pia, I confess that this was a result that shocked me, how could a team allow them to concede 8 goals? 5 goals were scored in the 1 half and there was no player from the home team who had a red card, so they conceded 5 goals in 45 minutes even though they were playing with full players. in the second half there was only Sporting causing danger and scoring more goals. At the end of the game there were 8 goals scored by Sporting, I've been commenting a lot here about how Sporting has had a good attack in the last few games. It looks like it won't be easy for Benfica to overcome Sporting
5 points between 1st and 3rd place isn't much, considering that we still have remaining h2h games between these teams. Don't agree with you, if such situation would be in your mentioned leagues, fight for title still would be open. C'mon, we have almost half of season remaining.
Benfica conceding first against Estrela didn't looked like real threat. It would be different if their second goal would be counted, but there was offside. BTW, didn't understood why you're calling Estrela amateur stars, but yeah, this is how their name can be translated in English.
Sporting scoring 8 goals is serious statement. And it looked that they can score as many as they want, Casa Pia just didn't arrived to the game.
371  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Share Your Craziest Experience of The Army? on: January 30, 2024, 08:17:05 PM
I haven't served in army, so, I can't share personal experience. But I have many friends who served and their experience is ok. Our army changed into positive direction a lot, comparing with what we had 20-30 years ago. Now we have Western standards there more or less. Still, army isn't for you if you're soft person. But in general, I think that it can turn spoiled children into grown man.

If you are expecting people who enrolled in the army to reply in this thread you opened, you should be aware that there must be few people here in the politics & society section who actually joined their national army and have something to say about their experience within. That being said, it would be better for the sake of discussion if anyone shared their personal experiences dealing with military members or also our own views about the military in our country.
I don't think that there is so few members here who served in army. After all, there is some countries where it's mandatory thing after you end school. But question how many will want to share their experience.

I suppose op could be talking about the simple merchant feature in electrum, see: https://electrum.readthedocs.io/en/latest/merchant.html

But it's pretty limited and there are many better options out there so I'm pretty sure it's not one of the popular choices for merchants. As a consumer, I've never seen it either.
Maybe he asked about it, though probably not many knows that Electrum have this feature. Personally, I haven't saw any merchant using Electrum as proccessor.
I suggest OP to look at decentralised service BTCPayServer. Centralised services is an option too. Except BitPay - just stay away from it.

Xavi joins Sven and Klopp in announcing retirements and stepping down.

Sven gets applause, plaudits, tributes because he has less than a year to live. Klopp gets it all because he says goodbye and is well loved anyway. But poor Xavi, announcing his and instead of asking him aboutall the details of why, he gets ridiculed and shat on.

Guys dragged you out of misery, made you win and improved El Clasico stats. And still he is too shit.

Fk football man.
Xavi arrived to Barca when club was in deep shit. Under Koeman club reached bottom and future looked so dark with all financial problems. Xavi stabilised everything, gave hope and even won La Liga. We have great new generation from La Masia, I hope that club won't turn into comedy like MU.
This season isn't going as planned, seems that Xavi failed to handle pressure and probably some changes is needed. But I hope that one day he will return to club.

Congratulation LTU_btc, I thought this was gonna be high BTTS game but Fiorentina didn't score so you get the win. I can even lose in a friendly, how nice for my team lol

Entering my picks tomorrow, I really need the research if I want to have small hope of playoff for relegation  Cry
Thanks, mate. Maybe therre weren't much quality in our game, but it was interesting fight. Really didn't expected that Denmark will lose handball final.
Upcoming round questions, NFL will be wild guess for me, as I have no clue about it. NHL question is tough too because it's not even regular games, but all star game.
Congratulations to imarios and Hhampuz with promotion!

Ulven is currently leading this matchday with 11 points. there are still two games left today and i strongly suspect that Ulven is predicting a 1-1 in each of them as well Grin Cool

And it really happened - he went with 1:1 in all games this round. After all, it didn't helped him much as he dropped by 1 place. It would be interesting to hear something about from @Ulven himself, what his plan was. If I would go with same pick in all games, I doubt that I would go with 1:1 score.
Congrats to @casperBGD with yellow cap!

Many other nice games yesterday as well. In Germany 3rd place and German champion Ratiopharm Ulm (13:4) lost at home by 21 points against 16th place Tübingen (4:13) . How these results can happen is beyond my understanding.
And Real got destroyed by Gran Canaria today 77:00. Yeah, they have excuse of missing many players because of injuries, but still, result is huge. Seems that trip to Las Palmas is one of toughest in Europe (not surprising when you see where this island is located) and Gran Canaria losses at home is very rare thing.
But this is why I love leagues like ACB or German BBL There is so many good level teams that every week you can get upsets. I think it says a lot about level of league that Baskonia is out of playoff zone in ACB.
Today there is Belgrade derby between Crvena Zvezda and Partizan in Adriatic league, too bad that this league isn't shown on TV in my country.
377  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Portuguese League - Liga Portugal 2023/24 on: January 27, 2024, 10:18:16 PM
Damn, what a heartbreak for Estoril, they wasted historical chance to lift trophy. And not that they didn't didn't had chance against Braga - they actually were so close in penalty shootout. Bothteams were perfect in shootout, until Araujo, only left foot player in shootout who missed 5th penalty for Estoril.
For Braga this win is big thing, they don't have chance to lift trophies very often. It's their 3rd ever League Cup.

On Sunday we return to league action with 5 games, though, there is no big matchups. From big clubs only Porto is playing, they will face Farense away.

Is there anyone who has seen Georgios Papagiannis' three-pointer in the last second? As a person who has been watching basketball for a long time Papagiannis managed to carry the game to overtime in a moment that I thought the match ended and Fenerbahçe won the match. I can't even imagine the disappointment Bahçeşehir players had.

https://x.com/Eurohoopsnet/status/1751325290435850265
Wanted to post it, but you have done it before me. Crazy moment, even coach Jasikevicius already accepted loss and already walked to shake hands with Bahçeşehir coach. Such moments is ver rare in basketball and it instantly gave me flashbacks of similar Zoran Planinic buzzer beater:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K83bSLQIHsY Klemen Prepelic also have done something similar when he played for Joventut:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-uTyWm6PKYE

https://i.postimg.cc/3R6yC7k2/efes-monaco.jpg

I was at Sinan Erdem Sports Hall today to watch Efes' game against Monaco. Efes were decent in the first half. However their performance in Q3 was a big disappointment. Their choices in offense organizations weren't good enough. Ending up with turnovers in really critical times also had a big affect on Efes to lose this game by 78-80.

Beaubois could have nearly extended the game to overtime but it turned out not to be a 3-pointer.  Sad  The coach Erdem Can targeted to keep the same level they had in the Barcelona game but there wasn't such performance this time.
Damn, Efes lost so many close games... They don't get defeated by 20 points, almost all their losses is just few points margin. Watched game and wanted to see overtime, but yeah, Beaubois really crossed on the line.
379  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Do you think faucets are dying? on: January 27, 2024, 08:30:03 PM
I'm pretty sure the witch hunt started in 2016 and by 2017 there wasn't any faucet else displaying Google ads anymore. Faucets exist until nowadays, but like walking deads, zombies. Without Google ads, faucets owners were forced to find alternatives to keep operating somehow, so they appealed to the worst kinds of ads disponible on the internet, such as pop-ups, malicious links, pornography and endless sequences of short-links. All of them low paying ads which turned the faucets into completely useless websites for extra earnings.

Without Google ads, the industry died in less than 1 year. At least, if faucets were clean to claim, like in the old days, I think we could still consider them an alternative, especially for newbies, because they could profit by claiming in quantity, instead of relying on the quality of the faucets. But it's just insanity to spend 2-3 minutes in a website to earn 20 satoshis per claim on the best of scenarios...

About Google's decision, well it's up to them as a private company to decide to which kind of website they want to relate their ads, but fraud and poor traffic quality remains even without faucets. At least through faucets they were helping the miserables of the world to start their crypto journeys from zero.
Yeah, without Google Adsense quality of faucets started to drop eventually. All kind of ads become very aggressive - pop-ups, shortlinks, porn, we also forgot another thing - miner script in background which triggered antivirus. Shortly, claiming become too much time consuming and reward was simply not worth efforts. I remember golden times of faucets when I opened random faucet rotator and everything was as simple as captcha → reward → next. In short time it was possible to claim from so many faucets.
Another aspect which was important probably is rising value of Bitcoin. It made faucet rewards to something like 2-5 Satoshi. It's same value as 50 Satoshi few years back, but with such low rewards you had to make crazy number of claims to reach payment treshold. Not many had motivation and time for it.
And if I would place of Google, I also wouldn't allow to use Adsense on faucets.
380  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What do you think about the freedom of speech in the USA? on: January 27, 2024, 08:05:53 PM
You are wrong. Such choices finally lead to the domination of the propaganda of other side.
If there is a channel which spreads lies, you should not block it, but create 3 more channels which expose these lies.
Usually the propaganda is based not on fake news but on hiding some facts and favoring the other ones:

You have good point, but unfortunately these things doesn't work in reality. You can create as many channels as you want where lies is exposed and debunked, but people just don't care. Majority don't watch or don't read such articles. Nowadays it's enough clickbait title or photoshoped image to spread fakes. This is why we have so many people believing in all kinds of conspiracy theories.
And your image is perfect example how easy to manipulate people.
