3601  Other / Off-topic / Screwed again by Payscum.. on: July 23, 2011, 10:15:19 AM
So after waiting on some cash coming though I hit the 'withdraw to bank account' button and was trapped by the tentacles of the hydra that is paypal with 'you have been chosen at random for a security check & we have temporarily deactivated your account' (despite having a paypal issued RSA token that I use to login with)...God I hate this beast of a chickenshit system....

So..it asks me to complete a hatrick of goals to complete this quest:

1. I must change my password. Yup. No option here. I HAVE to change it. Great, another password I have to remember....

2. I must create a NEW security question. Whatever..

3. I must confirm my credit card details.

So off I go to their 'resolution centre' (like there wasnt a problem here until they created one so who's my dispute with - Paypal? Hilarious considering they created the dispute..) and I confirm 'yes those last 4 digits are from my credit card'. I then get a message that they will credit a small amount of money to my account in a few days time which I must confirm as having received in order to reactivate my account. Yea whatever..in the meantime my funds are frozen.

So several days go by and no deposits but I'm kind of resigned to this plot now and have kind of put it on the backburner of 'things to do next week'. Then today I decide to renew a subscription online and realise they only accept paypal...omg...

So off I go to payscum again and now I'm pissed. Im clicking around in my account and decide to go to 'resolution centre' again and this time it says I have to click 'confirm' credit card. Wtf? Like its not asking for new info, just if I want to add a new credit card or confirm my existing card. Why didnt it ask me this 4 days ago? LOL..

So no I dont want to add a new card, and yes I want to confirm my existing card so I click that and I get the same message as before 'we will credit a small amount of money to your account in a few days time which you must confirm as having received in order to reactivate my account'.

So...4 days after freezing my account I still have no access to my funds. As its the weekend it will be another 2 days + 3 days at the earliest before I can again access MY MONEY. Of course I emailed these wankers to tell them what a pile of shit system they have etc and they reply with a tl;dr email about how I can find 'help' by following one of their many links through the maze that is their shitty system, and that how they were so sorry I had been inconvenienced. Their sorry? Actually their first reply to my email was an automated response which got me even more pissed...

Please people - lets get Bitcoin up and running and make it the currency it should be - the currency for the people, by the people. Lets dump these sob's fat asses on their fat piles of useless paper fiat dollars and trade between ourselves without the need to rely on these interfering, fee grabbing, money hungry cretins, that seem to exist to make our lives a misery.....

Bring on the future..
3602  Economy / Speculation / Re: Price rise or fall this weekend? on: July 23, 2011, 07:02:47 AM
Probally will be stagnate or take a dip this weekend. Pretty safe to assume it's always a good idea to have some play money available through weekends just in case.

Yea nothing like a good 'sell-off' to get the speculative juices flowing again  Grin

3606  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoinity chart question on: July 22, 2011, 09:47:52 PM
All they are is bids and asks being added & removed (depending if they are above or below the centre line).

Example: You see a bar appear on the right, above the line that lines up with $14.40 for the amount of 100BTC. You then see a red bar appear to the right appear below the line corresponding to $14.2 for the amount of - 10

This means someone placed an ask for $14.40 for 100BTC while someone removed an ask of $14.2 for 10BTC.

Well, average time is 1 day and around 16-17 hours for that hash speed

Yea thanks, I guess it has only been 24 hours so far. Maybe when I do hit gold I'll hit a purple patch  Grin

Can anyone post a detailed how to on setting up solo mining?

When I start namecoind (on Windows 7) via command prompt it does nothing and says nothing.

All you have done is start the solo server. You need to setup a miner too.

3610  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wednesday is RALLY day!!! on: July 22, 2011, 07:19:24 AM
Yea maybe were going to have a Tuesday on a Friday? 'Rally day' (if we have one) has been getting later and later in the week.
3611  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wednesday is RALLY day!!! on: July 22, 2011, 06:46:30 AM
Yea feels a bit odd being on a slight uptrend leading into a weekend. I'm used to watching the price slowly drop by this stage of the week.

aw hell.
this is taking too damn long.  Undecided

Yea I've heard a few people query this slow process...not sure where the problem lies though as I've not seen anyone bother to give an answer on it..

Ruxum is a very funky looking site. I used it again today to sell some Bitcoins for Namecoins and the transactions were effortless. Love the flash style trading platform too.

If you'd missed it, we were swept by a trend!

Problem with that graph is the SAR is going in the opposite direction to the SMA lol
3620  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wednesday is RALLY day!!! on: July 21, 2011, 10:42:13 PM

Parabolic SAR (the dot BELOW the trend) says NOW is the time to BUY...

Indeedy. And what a nice change of trend it is to see too before the weekend doldrums. I bought back in an hour ago @ $13.55 Smiley
