Not surprising, I think it would be unlikely he will ever invest in bitcoin regardless of how big it grows. He only likes to invest in things that deliver profit/dividends

I agree, but one still has to wonder when and if another competing currency will overtake bitcoin.
If bitcoin was more consumer friendly (newbie friendly) its reach would be infinite.

To be fair it doesn't explicitly say that Bitcoin is a ponzi scheme, they state: "Bitcoin has been called a Ponzi scheme" Which it obviously has been called by many critics. Full excerpt: Bitcoin has been called a Ponzi scheme, especially following its extremely high growth rates in comparison to the dollar in March and April 2013. It has been clearly shown the growth of its to-dollar value is directly correlated with sustained growth of public attention and belief of its growth. At the same time, the Bitcoin Project describes Bitcoin exclusively as an "experimental digital currency" and does not refer to it as an investment.

My biggest mistake was ignoring bitcoins when they were $1-10 and a buddy of mine was trying to convince me to invest in them. Back then I never imagined they would come as far as they have today.

Looks perfectly fine, if it was big font and colors I'd probably be annoyed though.

Preventing anything on the internet has pretty much worked so far lmao THIS I'm pretty sure china banned goldfarming, and the amount of goldfarming done in China is staggering.

Will mining be possible on next gen consoles (PS4, 720, etc.)
It is my understanding that PS4/720 will be using an AMD APU, will mining with consoles be profitable at all if possible?

I've looked around, what is the best windows miner to run? I have several machines I can run this on. They are server class (dual 6 core opterons in each) but have lousy graphics cards. Thanks
I'd look into upgrading those GPUs of course before looking into mining.

That GPU is far too weak, I would say it definitely isn't worth it.

Personally I'm just hoping that bitcoins stay stable at either $100 or $200. I'm not really interested in holding profits.

It is a small price to pay if it keeps the forums advertisement/Spam free

Neflix should start accepting Bitcoins!
Shouldn't everyone? :-)

Looks like a very interesting unpractical toy.
Seems a bit creepy as well, apparently people have already hacked units of them to record video without the light turning on. The next generation of perverts is born.

Sounds interesting, if in the future google releases their own currency, I personally feel it will be the only currency that can rival bitcoins but we'll have to see.

I'd say most of the wealthiest bitcoin buyers use this forum at the moment, so certainly a substantial effect.

I honestly don't care what price btc settles at as long as it is a stable price and not zero :-)
|
|
|
I'd be willing to chuck in a few bitcoins :-)

I've been getting a lot of mixed information lately and would like a simple answer to this if anyone knows.
If you are running any sort of bitcoin exchange, would you have to file as a registration with FINCEN for a MSB (money services business) ? Also can anyone provide me with some other basic things I'd have to do legally to protect myself, for example is a money transmitter license needed?
Would appreciate any input into this.
Thanks.

This sounds like a terrible idea.
Regardless of how much you believe in bitcoins, your survival costs money, and if bitcoins do crash for whatever reason you have wasted time you can never get back and may not even have enough money to pay your rent.
At this time having money in bitcoins is a great idea in my opinion. Putting all your eggs in one basket however, never is.
