lol... so you are ok with bombs being allowed on a plane ?   If you don't like it don't board a plane how about that?
Sorry, I can't help you. You are completely missing the point.

Let me ask you this: Is it acceptable for the TSA to stop folks driving on the highway for a random bag screening? It's happening, in case you didn't notice, starting with truckers, continuing to other forms of transport (train), and generally paving the way for a policeman on every doorstep, waiting to grope you on the way out. You like this?

Whuuuua?
Problem?
3683  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Encourage George Zimmerman (Florida self-defense shooting victim) to accept BTC on: April 10, 2012, 09:38:45 PM
Wow, your kidding right ? So, if we allow everyone and anyone to board a plane they WILL not bring anything on board to bring down the plane ?   No, TSA and specifically airport screening has been around for 50 years thus preventing bombs for being on planes got it ?  ...I'm sure rjk would say that is "taking his rights" away in some fashion.
You can't see the forrest for the trees, right? Alright then, I'll leave you to it. Roll Eyes

You never answered what "rights" are being taken away ?  Not my fault!   Roll Eyes
How about the 4th amendment right to not be searched without probable cause?

edit: also, you just fed yourself my point exactly .  Obviously, its working if 50 years of it not happening.

...none that we know of, dipshit. I don't know of any confirmed incidents where the TSA has actually prevented a terrorist from boarding, do you? And besides that, there are any number of anecdotal evidences of people boarding with any manner of shit, including knives, guns, and drugs, and were only discovered after getting off the plane.
3686  Other / Meta / Re: Less stringent communications/time restrictions, please on: April 10, 2012, 09:24:47 PM
Is your communication so urgent that you can't wait 20 seconds? I don't see any need to reduce this. It should probably be increased, actually.

The software doesn't support having different restrictions for different membergroups (and it seems difficult to add support for this in the code), or I would lessen the hourly restrictions for most users. I don't want newbies to be able to send too many PMs, though.
The only thing with this is, it deletes your post content if you run into the 20 sec error page. Not sure how easy that would be to fix.
3687  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: [WTB] Private torrent tracker invites. on: April 10, 2012, 09:23:41 PM
I have a file with all magnet links from Bitsnoop, TPB and Demonoid if that interests you as well. About 20million magnet links.
Hory shet, wonder how much storage all that stuff would take up. And what kind of massive server would be needed to seed them all Grin

The file itself only contains magnet links which means it's very small, it's just a .txt file. I'm not sure if you know how torrents/magnet links work, but that doesn't mean all those torrents are stored on 1 server :p But yes if you would want them all stores it ehm.. take quite a while and quite a big server.
I know how they work, I was just wondering the size of all the files that they linked to.

probably a Ron P. supporter.

3689  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Encourage George Zimmerman (Florida self-defense shooting victim) to accept BTC on: April 10, 2012, 09:15:56 PM
There is a reason that someone is innocent until proven guilty
You realize that that does not apply in the USA anymore, right? Roll Eyes It is such a police state these days, and I have my doubts that a single TSA agent or police officer has ever read the Constitution or its amendments.

What rights have you lost to a TSA agent? lol
All of them. They can seize and search your electronic devices at will, with no warrant, they can grope and assault you with no recourse, and they are expanding their operations like only an oppressive regime can.

Why should you care if they do that if you have nothing to hide ? Are you saying people with bombs should be allowed to board a plane?
I hate to break it to you, but you are a victim of their failed policies that are slowly but surely turning this place into a police state. Brainwashed like the rest of the sheeple. For the record, I am unequivocally NOT saying that people with bombs should board a plane.

Also, you may want to reconsider 100% fan...unless you enjoy replacing fans every few months.

No.

Running fan at 100% is fine.  Changing its speed a lot can in fact lead to premature failure.  Best to set it at some large value and leave alone.
My aching and dying fans have told me otherwise in the past.

I suppose you did an exhaustive study with a large control group of fans not set to 100, compared to a large set of samples with fan set to 100?
Because I did..  and found the fans most likely to die were those on "auto" where they varied in speed.  In fact none of the fans set to 100, 85 or 50 had any failures at all.
No... but 3 5870s at 100% all failed in 2 1.5 months, where 6 5870s with autofan have yet to fail in more than 4 months. I should have a larger set to choose from, true.

I wish I had that problem. I have more slots than 5970s.  Cry

Says the guy with the backplane  Cheesy  Grin

I'd rather have your problem(s).  They seem like a lot more fun.
Let's even it out. You send me extra 5970s, and I won't have empty slots anymore. Deal?

You can't really compare them to noisy GPU cooling, although they are audible in a silent office.
3696  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: tom's hardware including Bitcoin Mining in 2012 GPGPU benchmarks on: April 10, 2012, 08:30:48 PM
Of course that is all utterly ridiculous and stupid, but that is the reasoning they use.
That's fine, they'll lose users to a new site that will do serious mining benchmark  Wink
And pray tell, which new site is this?
3697  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: opinion on possible fraud attempt - user pastory99 on: April 10, 2012, 08:28:52 PM
Since he is continuing to (attempt) to scam (unsuccessfully, so far), does that allow the use of the scammer tag? Or does that require a confirmed successful scam followed by additional attempted scams?

I've already eaten a whole bag of jellybeans, which is probably even worse. Sad
