I have been mining on ecoinpool a private pool now for two months. I have found 2 different BTC blocks and both blocks show as orphaned and nothing to show for my work. Any ideas why I am getting orphan blocks? How do I fix this problem? Instead of mining earning nothing I think I am better off mining a regular pool since I have no payouts with 2 blocks found.
Orphan blocks can be because of bad network conditions, but having 2 in a row does suck. What is your network like, OP?

The question is: For what?
Yes, because I don't see a second one that I would assume would exist when used in a daisy chain fashion.

I would like to bump this thread with the following:
Last week I initiated a $2000 transfer having had all the necessary verifications done, but this week when the funds arrived in my account there was an error. I contacted CryptoExchange and within a few hours they worked out what had happened, credited me the difference, refunded the fee and threw in a reduced trading commission as a bonus.
No drama, all dealt with smoothly. Low cost international transfers gets a big starfish thumbs up.
Lucky:) Beware of crypto, they owe me over 100k USD so far... Why is it always unknown members with few posts that show up saying things like this? And why is it that the reason is always because of some kind of AML violation or fraud dispute? <-- This is speculation on how this will turn out in the future

That SATA port looks interesting.

Sorry, but I must agree with giantdragon on this one. Perhaps a reasonable resolution would be for the refund to happen just this once, and warnings about deposits be placed more prominently on the website. Although you really don't have a basis for a claim here in the first place.
Thank you for your opinion. Do you think that smart1985 had a basis for a claim in bulanula's case? Yes I do, although there is a difference between an actual sending error, and you just not liking service and wanting your balance out.

Personally, I think that you probably should try to explain your suggested solution again via PM, and probably how to send back funds from a certain address - I doubt everybody knows how to do that...
I don't think that's the problem. He appears to be fairly knowledgeable about Bitcoin and programming in general. Rather, for him it's a matter of principle: BTW, I have invested hundreds BTCs in this project and it is just not worth to cheat for 1.35 BTC. No refund rule was stated from the service's launch, it is like when you buy loaf of bread in the grocery store you cannot claim a refund Sorry, but I must agree with giantdragon on this one. Perhaps a reasonable resolution would be for the refund to happen just this once, and warnings about deposits be placed more prominently on the website. Although you really don't have a basis for a claim here in the first place.

Nice! What is the power supply rated for, and about how much power do the router and switch take by themselves?

|

Sounds great, just make sure it's all legal. Bitcoin gets enough LEO presence as it is, without dragging them in because of some debt collection.

And my eye is fixed!!
Jesus Christ, what a relief.

UPDATE
I'm very glad to inform you that we are official now. OpenASICS Limited has finished registration as a Hong Kong Company, under number 1744006. With Jason and me working side by side, being the only shareholders and management by now.
On the technical side, contact with Altera officials was initiated and proceeding. HDL development continues: abstraction layer being added to modified miner based on makomk's optimized version of fpgaminer's original miner. Prototype/Proof-of-concept to be developed on a EP4SE530 (Stratix IV) FPGA.
Many thanks for all your support !
Excellent. Is there a github repo somewhere?

Hire me, and I will twitter bootstrapize it and jquerize it. After your site is made pretty and generic, you should hire a designer who know how to turn it into a not-generic bootstrap website. (I am just a coder who can't choose color combinations to save his life. Twitter bootstrap help me make pretty web app by default.) I have no idea what twitter bootstrapize and jquerize means... SEO stuff or something? Or is it for design? Twitter Bootstrap: http://twitter.github.com/bootstrap/Jquery: http://jquery.com/Basically UX (<-- User eXperience) awesome sauce.

After seeing the hot tub in one of his videos, I'm pretty sure he is just another rich kid with a touch of megalomania. It's interesting to see all the references to "we" and "us", but no mention of anyone other than himself. Yeah, you and what army, Homer?

I'm pissed at the commenters for being nothing more than fanboys that aren't going to address his misconceptions, and instead say stupid shit like "FUD" and "Corrupt journalist". Get a grip, guys, and post some actual information.

Win32/Coinminer is virus?
My windows defender reported that this was harmful, googling it lead to sites saying it steals the wallet.
Now is this something to worry about? I have removed it when the window popped up.
Now it removed cgminer.exe, wery wierd??
read me said the readme so It is then false alarm then? Didn't see anything about Win32/Coinminer but this I found in readme: "Q: Is this a virus? A: Cgminer is being packaged with other trojan scripts and some antivirus software is falsely accusing cgminer.exe as being the actual virus, rather than whatever it is being packaged with. If you installed cgminer yourself, then you do not have a virus on your computer. Complain to your antivirus software company." Yes as long as you downloaded it from the link in the first post of this thread, you are safe. You should be able to make an exception for it in your AV software.

Could you give an example of an existing forum that uses it so that I can go check it out?
www.minecraftcc.combitcoinforums.net (though it is currently down while the new site owner works things out on his end) Or, just www.xenforo.com itself. You can even get a 3-day "demo" forum setup with one click to give it a try, including all administrative functionality. I went and had a look at xenForo's own forums, and after a bit of navigation I came to the conclusion that it is a bit.... busy, really. There is some neat functionality, but I guess I'm used to SMF and its stripped-down nature.

Can I get mine with the rail car attached (if so, I'd like a pair)?
We still don't know the formula of Mega Sauce, except that it will be faster than the other two! We're pretty sure you will need to buy in batches of 10 to make it cost effective, and you are welcome to keep the rail car! Do you plan to offer any 'ethnic' or 'regional' flavors for those of us looking for something a bit more exotic ?
How about a 'light' version. Is it possible to get ALL the performance with LESS calories ?
I am very excited about this and am looking forward to a trial run....
Maxi Sauce has an optional extra of a team of Brazilian girls that will show up and blow on your GPUs to keep them cool! Only 800.85 BTC extra! We accidentally invented a lite version, that's the cheaper Mini Sauce product! It will probably cause your GPUs to overheat every few hours, but hey who cares when they are so much faster!

I'm still not sure whether I am clear on the difference between astroturfing and what you are proposing, but here is how I imagine it working out in the real world:
There would be an invite-only IRC channel at somewhere like #bitcoin-cluebat that would have 5-10 very experienced members in it. They would be responsible for seeking out and destroying FUD spread on blogs, forums, and the like. The necessary experience would be a comprehensive knowledge of Bitcoin and its ecosystems, a decent know-how of economics, some programming, and all of them must be well educated in the fine art of diplomacy.
An example situation would be on a blog, where someone has just posted an article that consists of mainly misconceptions. Once discovered, the link would be brought to the attention of the cluebatting team, who would discuss the best method of approach. Then, the first member would make a comment that is designed to educate, but also designed to draw the blogger into conversation. When the blogger responds, the team would evaluate the response and choose the most qualified member to respond to whatever is being discussed at the moment, and a different member would post on the same comment section with another constructive and diplomatically worded bit of information.
From the blogger's perspective, it wouldn't be one ravenous individual bashing him and his hard work, but rather several knowledgeable participants all applying their knowledge to correct his misconceptions. The same could be done on forums, where instead of one person always responding, there would be several that all know the correct answer posting alternately.
This would be a highly effective method of cluebatting even the most harsh detractors.
