3704  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will never reach $20 again on: July 15, 2011, 04:18:57 AM
He's not trolling. I have the exact same stance.

If gox doesn't reinstate fees immediately and put forth actions to deter bots, bitcoin is going to have a MAJOR MAJOR uphill battle to climb.

Attention spans don't last 3 days, much less 14 days. There is going to be a deeeeeep decline in interest.

Meh..there's always new people ready to join any new venture. And it wouldnt hurt to get rid of the 'riff-raff' anyway...

Hi Oldminer,

Within three weeks.

Thanks,
Jered

thanks Jered,

looking forward to it in anticipation. It looks extremely professional. And if the front end works as half as good as it looks, I think you will have traders moving over in droves. Hopefully Bitcoin price will be in a bullish period when the new site goes live too Smiley
3712  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: It's time to reinstate trading fees on: July 14, 2011, 07:29:53 AM
Mtgox just announced an extension to this fee free period.

3713  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bots have stalled Bitcoin trading on MtGox @ $14.02 on: July 14, 2011, 07:18:18 AM
I thought stability was desired. Two days and you're already complaining?

Nah fuck stability. Volatility separates the men from the boys.

3717  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: On Wednesday, Bitcoin was less volatile than US Dollar. on: July 14, 2011, 05:41:14 AM
Yea funny you mention this because I recall looking at the price of BTC and trying to figure out 'why' it was so low then opened up my morning news site to see reference to a large share value plunge on the MSM. I'm thinking maybe that caused some cold feet all-round.
3718  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is MtGox being attacked again? on: July 14, 2011, 04:38:27 AM
Please provide details. What's slow? The web site?  The API? Are limit orders being accepted but not showing up in the market depth?

The site does not respond at all (browser hangs waiting / and or "MySQL errors, please try again" message) several times a day. Any frequent user would have noticed. I also know at least one person here who mentioned it in a PM.

Just did it again a few minutes ago, lasting for at least a couple minutes....
Anyone have info on the cause?

This is normal.

Goxed.
3719  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Technical Analysis on: July 14, 2011, 04:37:02 AM
A close above $15 on heavy volume would probably result into a nice rally. Although I'm looking for a pullback to $11-$12 for a better low risk entry point.

That was last week. You missed it. Tongue

lol
3720  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Getting >50% packet loss to tMtGox on: July 14, 2011, 04:26:12 AM
No data here for the last hour.

Goxed.

Edit: Expect a major change in Bitcoin price once it comes back up
