381  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [AИN] NODE - 2n Gen. CryptoCurrency build from SCRATCH on NODE.JS - NEW CODE! on: October 31, 2014, 01:55:57 PM

I'm also waiting for Node's developers reaction to that theft, it's serious issue affecting very badly this coin reputation.

Nodes value is falling and will be still falling as long as you start treating investors seriously and keep official promises written black on white.
You will find no sympathy here. You had more than enough time to claim your coins.
No one will wait for you indefinitely to make your claim. Nxt had a deadline, NEM also has a deadline. Every coin with this kind of distribution will have one.

Do you think this article is genuine or true ? Reading it I'm not able to convince myself if it's genuine or the writer is trying to defame jl777.
The guy is a serious head case.
Read from here if you have nothing better to do. There are other threads but this shows his pathology perfectly. First he sounds reasonable, then the crazy shows.

I don't know why he gets under my skin. This place is full of people like him. They produce an incredibly amount of posts with no substance whatsoever. Most of them worrying about the price of something that they have very little of.

This tread is getting neglected.

Please, everyone update from 1.2.8 and 1.3 (or older) they won't work anymore.

https://nxtforum.org/nrs-releases/nrs-v1-3-1/

This is a critical update!

I don't see why it would be a problem for merchants to have people able to check how much they take. It wouldn't be showing their profits or necessarily which items were being sold, which might be more sensitive, just purely their turnover.
It's actually a huge problem. For a business privacy is paramount, much more than to an avarage individual. Transparency is not good for business.

Just one example: Let's say I'm running a succesful shop built on crypti, selling amazon gift cards. When somebody else have the same idea, the first thing they do is check out the competition. How much business they do? That much? Let's do it then. Also, let's get in touch with their costumers and offer them a 10% discount to try us out. If crypti will have  messaging built in, this would be trivially easy.

if not work tomorow coin dead
Then sell and STFU.

Edit.: I'm never this rude, but I'm getting tired of this whining.
390  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Nxt Coins stolen/ Hacked be warned on: September 23, 2014, 12:54:34 PM
Well, there are a lot of passphrases one can think of that are more secure than that, but your refusal to post the passphrase is typical.
These Nxt stolen topics have one thing in common. The story never starts like this: "I random generated a passphrase..."

I would really like to hear your thoughts and ideas on how we should approach this.

I think that there is nothing you can do. You should definitely let your opinion heard on the matter, but it is pointless to push it further. In a world where is hundreds of simple clone coins floating around, you can do very little about someone copying an idea.

You should focus on developing and building the community, and shrug everything else off.
392  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NEM Official Thread - Crowdsale has begun[Updates & Discussion] on: September 14, 2014, 02:44:44 PM
Can someone help me please. I'm not super tech savvy.

I've trying to access my NXT wallet for a couple of weeks to no avail. Before logging into my account I get the following message...

A new version of the Nxt client is available (1.2.6). Would you like to update?

If I remember correctly there was a problem a few versions back because bitbucket changed url format, so client update didn't work. Just download the new client manually, and overwrite the current one. https://nxtforum.org/nrs-releases/

where is the whitepaper Huh
Ask a few hundred more times it will speed things up, I'm sure.
Btw, do you want it because you hope it will help establish the coin, or do you want to read it and get a detailed description of the coins internal mechanisms?

Because if it is the later, I have a hunch that you will be disappointed.
395  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [AИN] NODE - 2n Gen. CryptoCurrency build from SCRATCH on NODE.JS - Brand NEW! on: September 12, 2014, 04:59:21 PM
How come only 548 MM is accounted for on the Gdoc?
Take a look at the distribution plan tab in the doc.

Thx,
so what was the average buy in price for the intial distro?

1.4 btc per 598,894 stake or lower?

I have no idea, I think it gradually got higher from free to 0.06 maybe? I didn't pay attention.
Then there was an auction of don't remember how many stakes, 100-150 where the price of a stake were around 0,1-0,15. Then a few days go a selloff of 60 stake from 0.8 to 1.4 BTC per stake.

This account got a massive dump of coin (17 million): 14367295516694207452 -- it then distributed this to 5 other accounts initially in stake payouts then in amounts that don't equate to stakes (i.e. 1 million, 2.5 million etc)... 4 million made it to 3703022566724518417, which then sold it on BTER from the looks of it (seems all BTER transactions go through 6458978651863323362?). That 4m was never broken up into stake amounts, so i'd assume some non-stakeholder (dev?) sold 4M on BTER..? I do recall the devs saying that they needed to do another wave of stake sales for food and rent some months ago.. makes ya wonder how much they'll dump.

wish we had a better block explorer.. This one doesn't include block number nor transaction date/time, and you can only search on account #.. Can we extract block data from the client? (still waiting for mine to catch up.. downloaded 500 blocks in ~2 hours, another 1000 to go..)

Your data is solid, but your conclusions are all wrong. How is that you have the patence to look for data in a pain in the ass blockchain explorer, but don't check the distribution spreadsheet? Smiley
1436... is my account, I bought all coins at the auction. I sold full stakes earlier on the forum, and some other amounts later. I sent some (3.5M?) to bter, and sold around 1.8 million. (I'm done selling now, until prices much higher.)

Someone else (there are a few bigger stakeholders who can do it) probably sent much more to bter (someone put up a 8M sell order not long ago, and if they didn't buy it on bter, there is only a few people who has that much coin) but I'm too lazy to find out who.

398  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Crypti - XCR - Ͼ - 3 PoS algorithms - Ed25519 - Next Gen New Source - Launched! on: September 11, 2014, 08:46:48 AM
And why am I a troll? I think I helped and help Nxt more than you ever did. I also think that I am more invested in Nxt than you. It's simply a fact that Nxt is not organized, due to its massive decentralized approach.
It will be interesting to see in the long run which approch is working better.
I also sold a serious amount of NXT to buy into crypti and my decision was mostly based on developer responses, activity and organisation.

@Koop4u. I have a question ... talk about SuperNet, what you think about this.

Actually, he did, NODE may join in supernet, but I am't sure.
Fist rule of joining SuperNET: don't talk about joining SuperNET

Hilarious posts as always.

It's funny the first few times, but I'm getting tired of it.
It's one thing to trying to pump the price and it is an other to seriously expect 100M+ market cap.
