Draper have been giving tough fight. Finally Nadal have won the first set 7-5. Nadal jumped with joy once the first set has been won. Until the last moment both the players were in extreme pressure. The first set lasted 54minutes, and the second set in my opinion is a win for Nadal in an easier way.

Parallel to the match, Azarenka vs Kenin is going on. Kenin leads 1-0 with the first set win of 6-4

In less than an hour matches gonna start. Big list of matches to continue. Days of entertainment begins and many have some specific matches to be watched. It's been long watching a match from Nadal. Waiting to watch the match of Nadal against Draper. We know the result, but Nadal isn't in the form as the past.
383  Economy / Economics / Re: More Money Problems that Bitcoin Solves on: January 15, 2023, 11:24:58 PM
No government wants to lose control over the financial system. With bitcoin into the financial system everything will be transparent and governments can't take money from the pockets of people. It is the people who decide what to be done with their money.

Governments know well about the potential of the technology and the financial system having advantages over the traditional one, but they never show interest to make use of it. Over time scenario could change, but it can take generations for a massive change.
384  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: You Learn More from Losses than from Wins on: January 15, 2023, 11:20:55 PM
Remember the first trading lesson you learned as a newbie? Did it come from a win or a loss? A loss teaches you about the reality of the market, protects you from becoming cocky, and humbles you. When you are a beginner trader, a small loss is not a terrible thing. Losses teach you proper trading risk management strategies and techniques and respect for the market and prepare you for long-term success.

Remember the first lesson you learned as a beginner trader? Did it come from a loss or a win?
Being inexperienced traders, losses demoralize us greatly, but they can also teach us how to improve in the future by addressing the issues that cause us to lose. I still clearly remember my first trading experience. I lost on my first try, which discouraged me from trying again, but I came back and tried again after doing some research and analysis. This time, I made sure to think carefully about why I lost on my first try, and by doing so, I was able to recognize my mistakes.

As the saying goes, experience is the best teacher. Yes, that also applies to a trader, whether it's starting with a win or defeat. Those who start with losses usually have a bad mentality, because they lose money that they never thought of before. Most people will think that being a trader will be profitable and usually don't consider the possible losses at the beginning. That's what makes our mentality disturbed. But if we don't lose with that I think our chances of becoming a professional trader even though it will be very difficult in the process.
Rather than win, it is the loss that gives better learning. Just think, when we make profit or win in a trade we just pass on and enjoy what we've done. We'll try the same pattern of trade next time and it isn't assured for a win. With a loss, we'll analyse what is the mistake that caused the loss. So, loss brings more learning than wins for a trader.
385  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Should I keep my BNB or Sell it? on: January 15, 2023, 11:11:28 PM
Hi, I'm new to here. So just want to ask your help or guide.

I have currently 800$ worth BNB. These are got from NFT that I sold back months ago that I got from airdrop. So what i need to know should I convert it to stable coin or should I invest it for bitcoin? Because my friends say that BNB don't have a future anymore. So I'm fully worry about this.
Sell the BNB and you do half/half.

Half for stable coin and half for buying bitcoin now. The purpose of having half is like being prepared if ever the price of bitcoin goes down again so you've got an immediate money to buy.

But if not, then at least you're able to buy at its current price regardless of what will be the price in the future. Whether we like it or not, investing in bitcoin is like the safe haven of the market when most projects are we're uncertain about.
The growth with bitcoin have got good percentage against BNB, but the year is predicted to have a bull run for altcoins. I'm not sure of the reality. If that is to happen, then it is good to have BNB. Among the list of altcoins, BNB is one of the potential altcoins that is predicted to grow good and reach new ath. However market manipulation too is found with BNB for which bitcoin can be considered as the safe haven in all situation.
386  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Dogecoin to be used for micropayments on Twitter? on: January 15, 2023, 11:07:35 PM
There are successful people out of investment on memecoins. A market shouldn't be of a same product, it needs to provide variety to its users. One such variety in cryptocurrency is the memecoins. These are for short term, if lucky you'll be profiting and if not you just need to ignore. Dogecoin to be used by Elon Musk might happen, but this isn't gonna make big push in the market.
No one denies that a lot of money can be made with meme coins, but what is the ratio of winners and losers? Or to put it in another way how many losers we have for each winner that claims to have made a fortune investing in meme coins? And the numbers are surely horrible, as people invest in those coins thinking about making some quick cash only to find out that instead of achieving their dreams of making a lot of money they instead lost it.
So far, Elon Musk hasn't tweeted about Doge yet and maybe the reason he is is that right now the market is bearish and Fomo will be more difficult,
Elon Musk is indeed very influential for Doge and it is very likely for Doge to become a Twitter micropayment, but that is still a problem.
and still Becomes a wish of the Dogecoin community, if realized then Doge really would be more than $1.
Elon Musk hadn't made any tweets, because his previous attempt to manipulate the market didn't give hands. People always have better observation over the market as they don't jump into the market without making proper analysis. Once it happened and for the same we can't expect the market get pushed by him. Dogecoin have got a good community that keeps its market moving forward amidst all market situations. Let's wait for the offical announcement than getting into speculation.
387  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: why most of airdrops don't pay participants with tokens in these days?? on: January 14, 2023, 11:59:34 PM
Ive been into airdrops before and bounty campaign. I could say is before only few are joining the airdrops unlike now that dozens of people are lining up to join it which reduces the reward significantly. Also the value of airdrop before somehow considerable and huge but now its different too. Maybe not enough for a gas usage when you try to sell.

Also some projects are linked with scammers and only trying to use participants as a tool for marketing to execute a huge scheme.
Whenever something related to bounties and airdrops were discussed it is possible to see the year 2017-18 into discussion. Those are days when the people aren't much aware about the existence of cryptocurrencies. By the time the participants were less and now the market have widened in a much larger scale. This makes way for the increased number of participant resulting in low rewards. Among them, once again it is hard to find trusted bounties and airdrops that give good rewards as most of them were trying to use the details gathered through these bounties and airdrops for the marketing purpose as said above.
388  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are your wishes for BTC in coming years? on: January 14, 2023, 11:57:07 PM
I want mass adoption to be complete and volatility to slow down. I think everything seen as a problem will be resolved once the mass adaptation is complete. That's why I see this as the most important issue. Other than that, I have full confidence in Bitcoin. One day sooner or later we will see the victory of Bitcoin. That's why I feel comfortable. Also, I feel lucky to witness an important moment in history and to be here with you.

Mass adoption of bitcoin won't happen that easier. It takes time and the adoption will happen in a much slower phase, because countries won't easily stop the usage of national currency and give way for bitcoin. Volatility is the attraction of cryptocurrencies, because the increased volatility keeps the market under high risk and high profiting. In reality more users love the volatility and that's the reason for them to be the part of cryptocurrency.
389  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: January 14, 2023, 11:53:10 PM
Squad looks OK for me. I would still prefer Ishan Kishan ahead of KS Bharat. Kishan is in terrific form and he was unfairly treated by Rohit Sharma as Shubman Gill was selected instead of him. BCCI has persisted with Mohammed Siraj, however I would have liked then to provide one or two chances to Umran Malik (his bowling style is more suitable to test format). One disappointment is that Abhimanyu Easwaran has been dropped without getting any chances to represent India. BTW, I don't know why Jaydev Unadkat is in the team.

Yeah, the squad announcement does look really good for India. I am actually interested to see if Jaydev Unadkat is going to perform in this series and if he does how he is going to perform. Because I do not remember the last time I saw him play in international cricket. The squad looks really good. The only thing needed is for every player to prove his worth. Also interested to see the performance of Kuldeep Yadav in test cricket.
Unadkat won't be getting anymore opportunity and maybe that's the reason why he's into the squad. He entered the team along with Virat Kohli, but what he had played is just 2 test matches and 7 ODI matches. Let's see what way he can support the team. Indian player selection is something different, because the selection takes place out of different ways and not just on the performance.
390  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best Times when I visit casinos Versus When I don't on: January 14, 2023, 11:46:24 PM
I don't know how users were able to allocate time and go gamble. My gambling time is on the go, mostly my gambling takes place on travel. At times I've gambled taking a break from driving. This is really bad, but this had happened in the past. When I keep on thinking of the loss, my mind suggests why not try to recover it back. This is how my travel become the time to gamble and the final outcome turns to be even worse. Hope this mentality changes this year.
391  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: January 14, 2023, 11:40:36 PM
~snip

Djoko outright? Hasn't been good value for a long time. You get higher odds betting on his first game with handicap...

agree, expected it a bit higher, below @2 does not make it valuable, better to hold when he loses first set, or eventually two in one match, and than put bet on him (if that even happens, since he is playing from the start lately, not giving first set easily, as on last season Wimbledon)

Nadal is a mystery, but I don't think he is able to compete at high level, but that does not make it easier for Djokovic, it is an other part of the draw, and Medvedev is there as well

Yeah, Djokovic is a revelation for live betting. I might be wrong but I remember plenty of times him giving up first set and then it's a money doubler opportunity that hits.

Medvedev. I might be unfair but I have slotted him in with Tsitsipas now. As in, my money's not going on them anymore.
In most of the matches this happens. Maybe he's having this as a plan to keep up the match than ending within the two sets. At times this itself have turned to be a losing choice. If he had done by intention, surely the first set gives confidence to the opponent and give his real performance.
392  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How do you feel about market recovery on: January 13, 2023, 10:53:56 PM
We can't be conclusive, yet it is a strong recovery. Myself predicted the market to move slowly, but the price will cross $20k by today. It is said as temporary recovery, but this price won't further drop big in the coming days. All that planned for the bottom investment will he worried of missing opportunity. Whether it is bull trap or real growth, it is time to enjoy the growth after long term.
393  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why would someone send 4 BTC to Satoshi (Genesis block) on: January 13, 2023, 10:49:31 PM
No one knows the real problem for which the amount has been transacted. For sure, the transaction isn't out of mistake. It is possible to see Good number of old donars in our forum. They've made donation in big numbers. Same as that this guy might be one among the early adopter of bitcoin. Maybe no one to claim his funds later, maybe that too can be a reason.
394  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Criteria of a good gambler on: January 13, 2023, 10:42:17 PM
I wonder why I've been late on this topic but I want to comment the OP for this fine writing and all you've listed are truly the qualities of a good gambler.
Ability not to chase after ones loss which I refer to as revenge gambling as stated by one other user over here is one great criteria of a good gambling and I've seen so many people try as much as possible to recover all their losses for the day at once and by so doing, emotions might interfere and one might not do the right thing resulting in loss.
And no matter what quality one has, the ability to gamble responsibly is key and with that alone, one is already 85% a good gambler.

I know each and every point which OP has mentioned in the post. But the main problem is to adhere to them while playing.

Taking the example of the revenge gambling how many times when I gamble and lost few games I will try my best to play another game with taking a big risk in order to overcome the loss. This is revenge gambling and we should all avoid it.
Most people involved in this type of revenge gambling but they never know what they are doing and hence they lose big money.
With gambling if you weren't with self control it is like yourself getting towards the worst days of your life. Maybe you can be lucky to win good, but the same isn't assured. Whether it is in real life or gambling, revenge is unhealthy. It is our responsibility to play in a better way with control. Taking revenge gonna affect us sometime, same could happen with revenge gambling.
395  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: January 13, 2023, 10:36:48 PM
Emotional to see how Djokovic has been received by the public in Australia. He received a standing and big ovation for his return. You can ask yourself whether he deserves that, but people are there as tennis enthusiasts. He played a practice match against Kyrgios. Nice to see that 2 children were also allowed to participate in a double game competition. Kyrgios - Djkovic could also just be another match at the tournament. The public is of course completely behind Kyrgios because he is playing this tournament in his home country. Djokovic is the big favorite here. Alcaraz will not participate.

Djokovic deserved this by the crowd after what happened to him last year and he has a big group of serbian fans there aswell so things are much easier for him and he can feel like is playing at home. Never expected this two players to get a long after what happened in the years before.
Djokovic have been welcomed in a big way. Australian Open promotion sister Djokovic is back. The welcome ceremony with Krygios is really fun to watch and he shared the court with differently abled player and a kid. What a cheer among the audience and we were able to see happy faces.
396  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: January 13, 2023, 07:31:42 PM

Ambani is on road to breaking every competitor's back, similar to what he did in the telecom industry. Only the strong will survive and the consumer is the real winner.

2023 IPL is also free to watch. I bet Disney/Hotstar must be kicking themselves for missing out on the IPL OTT rights.
May be Disney knows they cannot compete with Ambani and the Oligarchy backed by the government and hence backed out Wink.

Anyone watching International League T20 held in Dubai, i noticed when it popped in a sportsbook and majority of the International and former players are playing in that tournament. There are multiple T20 tournaments going on and it is hard to follow everything.
That's the truth. Disney itself have understood the power of Ambani. Soon each and everything related to cricket will be under the contract of sports 18 and the streaming partner will be jio cinema. Along with Mumbai Indians team, BCCI and the entire government under jio network.

Parallel to one league we were able to watch more T20 cricketing action. Bangladesh Premier League, BigBash League, SA20, T20 league in Dubai. Along with this India vs Sri Lanka and Pakistan vs New Zealand ODI going on.
397  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What's the best strategy for high wagering/low losses on plinko? on: January 12, 2023, 11:59:40 PM
I've been messing around with plinko on a couple sites. My normal strategies are 14 lines low payout and 16 lines low payout.

There are times I am dropping 200-400 $ balls so I get to wager alot, but seems like everytime I drop a big ball I hits a loss spot.

You play 16 lines, there is only 1 bad spot and that's directly down the center for .5x money lost. I've seen that slot hit 5x in a row.

So what's a better strategy?
Strategy? Isn't that based on pure luck? And no matter the setup, winnings and losses are calculated so that casino wins in the end?
I think that best strategy is a cliche, and it's not to play more you can lose.
I personally just trust my luck and play all my budget with one big bet. It's not as lasting fun but payoff could be huge.
Apparently, there will be no working strategies in a game that is pure luck based as even if you show your skills and best strategies, as long as you’re not lucky enough, you will never win. So just play it more on fun rather than seeing it as another source of income. And just gamble wit just small bets, after all you are still learning from it so expect that losses will be more visible than making significant profits.
As said there is no strategy that works everytime. Came across a win that is being posted on another thread. The user was able to win 1000x after 4000 spins. He had limited his net value and slowly increased at the bottom level. This is best way to try the strategy and it won't be winning strategy, because what's been lost in the 4000 spins get compensated by the 1000x win.
398  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: January 12, 2023, 11:53:18 PM

Yup, Serena - she won the AO while being 2 months pregnant, aged 35 if I recall correctly.
I even think that she won it without even losing a set, but I'm on a ski trip and am too tired to Google Grin

Positive news for Osaka hopefully, she had a lot of mental struggles recently.

I am happy for Osaka and hopefully she will return to the tennis and can overcome her mental struggles. I wouldn't be so surprised if she would announce her goodbye from tennis after her pregnancy. She is a big talent and has the power to dominate the tennis if everything is going good for her.
Yes, she's so young and have got more years to continue his career. Right now her decision is good according to me. Different people have different view over pregnancy and physical fitness. Serena Williams was able to achieve and her fitness was supportive and the same can't be with Osaka. Atleast a year's break is necessary and to make a comeback it takes few months. In the mid of 2024 we can expect her back.
399  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are your thoughts about Polkadot? on: January 12, 2023, 10:23:56 PM
Guys, what are your thoughts about investing in Polkadot(Dot) right now? Is this time a good entry for buying Polkadot or should I wait for more? I'm not considering holding a long time for a bigger profit. Just looking for a short-term hold.

Any ideas?
If you are considering this for a short-term investment, I would say NO. With this bear season, you can never expect a profit in the short term, it certainly takes years to have it. I consider Dot as one of the promising projects, of course, choosing this couldn't make you regrets but of course, you also need to become more patient as it won't grow up when Bitcoin is still on the dump. That is why I would say that don't just focus on this project but invest more in BTC.
Agreed, DOT is a promising project that have gained good market in the shortest time period. From the beginning of its days the value of DOT is found around $3, so we can't expect the market price to $1 for buying. The price is around $5 which is a good buy, if the choice is long term investment. About the project, the development continues and the same keeps the market high than declining.
400  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: El Salvador has become the first country to make #Bitcoin legal tender! 🇸🇻 on: January 12, 2023, 10:14:24 PM
A recent survey showed Bukele currently well ahead in voting intent for the upcoming, yet far away, 2024 presidential elections (Presidents have a 5 year mandate in El Salvador), with 49,3% of those that participated in the survey claiming that they’d vote for Bukele’s political party. The survey shows the opposition to be fairly out of sight, though a 44,1% did not indicate a specific party (undeceive or else).
Some countries adopted with rule models of democratic system have each five years with presidential election, I don't familiar with El Savador election method. I think have another rule changed and Bitcoin viewed later if next years on 2024 if Nayib Bukele loss his position as president, I don't Bitcoin keep exist there as legal currency transaction due with democratic countries system the power or rule change at President hands.

I hope Nayib Bukele can exist as El Savador president for one period later due he has bigger contribution make Bitcoin as legal currency payment transaction there. Have little opinion about survey claiming is not accurate information and not become indicate about how potential become the winning in presidential election.
The bitcoin law has been passed with 62 votes out of 84 votes. This is a big win, and there were opposition from the public which is being subsided with the continued progress. El Salvador Predicted is strong in his belief and keeps staying positive amidst the losses. 2024 will be a big year for him, because of the election as well as the halving. If I'm not wrong, people of El Salvador have found many thing good and developmental under his governance other than bitcoin adoption. This will keep him continue his power as President of El Salvador.
