381  Economy / Economics / Re: New Year - The crypto economics on: January 01, 2022, 03:06:43 PM
There is nothing new to me this year, I will continue what have I been doing since the. I was mining since 2017 up until now, this is one of the sources where I get my crypto funds, whether us it or hold it. I also have a small business, selling beauty products. Recently it hit well because maybe of the pandemic, people in our place have spare money and stuck at their house at some point. So ladies concentrate on beautifying themselves and or line of business boomed. That is second where I get my source of income. Another is doing bounties, and recently played Axie Infinity, gained experience on how NFT works and maybe see if it fits well this year on my plans.
382  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin new year on: January 01, 2022, 01:03:47 PM
I am expecting that more countries will follow El Salvador this year, for sure not only 1 country. Especially when they will start to appreciate the good things of it from El Salvador.
But we should also be ready for the negative things that could happen this year like Bitcoin could possibly visit below $40,000 or worst below $30,000 but I am on always the positive side.
Another thing is the bitcoin block halving that will happen in 2024, we are still far but as the year changed from 2021 to 2022, it is getting near to the block halving.

Time flies so fast, one day seems like a week. No time to waste before the halving, we know what is gonna happen and we must be prepared for it. I think a 100k USD per BTC is possible.

I felt like a day is always a new year for me, everyday in crypto gives me surprises, excitement and somewhat sorrow and regret. I know it's awkward but that is how I feel for the crypto space, and it never change and the emotion gets stronger.
383  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to find Airdrop or ICO project? on: December 31, 2021, 04:29:06 PM
I really can't tell, I base on the bounty manager who is holding the project. Basically the trusted the better because if the manager smells something fishy, he will confront the team that hired him and if there are anomalies, he would stop the bounty until further notice. That way we can know how trusted the project is or the airdrop given. Aside from airdrop why don't also try to join the campaigns of the ones you are following. You can track social status records and follower and a lot more to judge the team whether they are doing well.
384  Economy / Economics / Re: Why we need bitcoin... on: December 31, 2021, 01:30:57 PM
Worth the read, eye opener for the people who still doesn't acknowledge BTC as a safe haven from inflation. I really felt the prices of primary commodities get higher, good thing our government almost double the salary to make sure our family survive the daily needs. Just in case everything falls, I make sure I have Bitcoins that I could trust, making it my hedge, somethings coming, maybe a global reset, that's just what I am afraid of.
385  Economy / Economics / Re: IRS says stolen property and bribes must be reported as income on: December 31, 2021, 11:20:02 AM
Well I don't understand the duty of the law enforcement agency in the case where stolen bitcoin will be reported as income. I mean that in the instance is stealing and the person has to face punishment and not just the interest of the income to it . This is to discourage hackers and scammers. Is awful to here such that the first interest should be tax.

It is a trap, where in a side your free to steal Bitcoin and therefore when you report it to the authorities, cuffs and bars are waiting for you and goodbye to stealing Bitcoin again. What the hell is wrong with the people today, telling people it is okay to steal then report it as an income?
386  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Elon Musk guesses who bitcoin's mysterious creator Satoshi Nakamoto is on: December 31, 2021, 10:49:10 AM

The debate continues...

Elon Musk appears to have a pool of smart people he works with to discuss topics like these. It appears Nick Szabo is the leading candidate in their upper tier of their intelligentsia. If it is Nick Szabo he must be one of those who avoids media attention and the spotlight. In contrast to the Craig Wright's of the world, Szabo tends to keep a low profile.

Thank god, Elon Musk did not claim himself to be Satoshi Nakamoto. You can expect anything from his tweets.
I have stopped following his tweets and words ever since he has started promoting DogeCoin. I don't believe in Elon musk guesses for Satoshi Nakamoto. No one knows who is Satoshi Nakamoto.

Maybe later on he will claim just to be on the spot light when maybe most of his mars plans will be a failure. To gather audience and fame again, he needs a better news and surely say he is Satoshi Nakamoto. This Mars guy is way too much to gain attention, I love his creation, Tesla cars but his personality is the problem. I know this is guys have money and power but never been as good as Nick.
387  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Gas prices with ETH will i ever get my money back? on: December 30, 2021, 04:19:00 PM
so its been a month and i want to pull my 50$ out of my trust wallet but clearly thats not happening with the Network fees unless i spend another 50 bucks?!!?? is there hope to get my money back one day?

Too bad you need to wait for the network to decongest and lower the fees. It is frustrating and I feel you, It also happened to me and the least I can do is wait. Sad to say the coins was USDC and I was just messing and sending it to my trust wallet, but then when I want to get it back, the fees are more than what my USDC is valued so I just let it stayed for months and maybe for years if the gas fees don't go down.
388  Economy / Economics / Re: The Crypto Rich Are Flocking to Puerto Rico on: December 30, 2021, 03:17:34 PM
I have been to Puerto Rico and it’s an absolutely beautiful place so the fact that they’ve made it as attractive as they have to outsiders who might be looking for a new home is pretty impressive. If Donald Trump ends up winning the next presidency I may just move there lol

I never get to visit the country but I like to one day. This taxation is amazing and I think they would be growing more when people around the world what their country offers. If only this pandemic is gone, I would love to visit the place and I know few Spanish words. How about the taxes for tourist out there? is it friendly? are the people friendly? Safeness comes first when travelling of course.
389  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Understanding the Ponzi Narrative on: December 30, 2021, 01:48:56 PM
The word "unaware" is a strong one for the argument, I think most of the investors of Bitcoin are aware of where does their profits came from, if they have manage to gain they should also know that some random person at the moment lost if they sell it on a lower price. If the haters tell you that Bitcoin is a ponzi scheme, then it won't survive for this long, as most ponzi schemes have been already eliminated and bitcoin still manage to survive.
390  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why are applications created on Etherium and not on other convenient blockchains on: December 29, 2021, 11:32:44 PM
Well I have been seeing projects that are based on BSC lately, who told you that most are only on ethereum network? It is congested and the gas fees are high. It is only a matter of time until it will lose to another because fees are getting and micro transactions aren't good anymore. Developers are looking on another or basically they will make their own if the can do so.
391  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cheapest Stablecoin to Send on: December 29, 2021, 10:32:34 PM
Trying to set up a recurring payment to someone and looking for the stablecoin with cheapest gas fees. That they can turn into cash USD and to their bank account.

For instance USDC to coinbase and then cash.
But this is too expensive with transaction fees on Ethereum to use now.

Any experience with this? Thanks

Appreciate your help.

I have been using xrp to send transactions, it is cheap for me as sending xrp requires only a minimum of 1 xrp for the transaction fee and that is equivalent to less than half a dollar. I have been using this trick whenever I sell coins like eth or BTC and others. The only thing to make sure is that xrp is available on  the wallet you are using locally and tradable for USD.
392  Economy / Economics / Re: U.S. population grew only 0.1% in 2021 lowest rate since nation's founding on: December 29, 2021, 01:29:39 PM
I think people are scared there to raise another child due to current condition of the world. A pandemic is still on the run and we might be having another wave, I respect people with plans and it might also help them survive if making another baby will be postponed for another year around.
I don't know what is the situation of the people living in the US and how hard it is to raising a child in there, but here in our place we can have as much as we want, as long as we don't neglect or duties to them so we are far away from planning to be a negative population growth country.
393  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi's p2p account hacked again on: December 29, 2021, 12:20:36 PM
You can't see the content now, but when I found it on Google a moment ago, it seemed to simply be pointing it out, and not spamming.

The problem is that the guy has posted the entire content, and that's about NTFs. I don't know if it was meant to be spam or not.
The original Reddit post is here: https://web.archive.org/web/20211226053929/https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/roqe0t/post_from_satoshis_p2p_foundation_account/
The culprit post is: http://p2pfoundation.ning.com/forum/topics/bitcoin-open-source?commentId=2003008%3AComment%3A169634

I don't think that Satoshi would care of NFTs so much to come back for that. I certainly believe it's hacked.

I second this, it is impossible that Satoshi would be promoting NFT's in this kind of situation. The first thing maybe he will do if he would ever come back would of course explain himself on why he is gone for more than a decade. Or so maybe airdrop some of his BTC to the people who continued his legacy.

Hackers nowadays are damn freaking good, even the long and idle account of the legend Satoshi was no excuse. How could they do such a thing? Maybe it is one of the co workers of Satoshi when he is still on the making of BTC, colleagues that have Satoshi use to give his password for forums like p2p.
394  Economy / Economics / Re: The link between Bitcoin and the economy on: December 26, 2021, 02:02:36 PM
But the problem is the benefits you are talking for the common people that you are talking is only applicable to the rich people. Poor ones can't even afford a quarter of Bitcoin. Rich people buy it believing it would give back more to them. It's fundamentals is slowly losing and one day bitcoin might be just another story to be told.
395  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Earning interest on bitcoin without giving up your keys on: December 25, 2021, 03:53:28 AM
Wouldnt it be great for the holdlers if you could earn interest on your bitcoin and not give up your keys? So ive heard of this new thing from some other guy
called Atomic finance that just does exactly that. Sounds interesting.  The way crypto is always evolving i bet its just a matter of time before we can safetly earn interest on bitcoin but i am no expert on this. Does anyone here know of any upcoming projects like atomic finance that are doing exactly that?

I don't think it is possible. But some cases or alts they give airdrops just holding coins. But in bitcoin I don't know. They solely earn base on interest and how would they earn if they don't make use of your bitcoin and make them grow. So either you send your BTC to their wallet and stake it or you hold it and wait for it to increase in value.
396  Economy / Economics / Re: NFT and art theft on: December 24, 2021, 05:29:14 PM
What's the point of having an NFT art when it is available for other to steal.it, download and make a copy of it. I thought it was to protect the artist from others to steal their work. How come the people who should be be trusted are the people doing the wrong here. There should be laws to protect them from company's who take advantage and at least give them the freedom to choose of what to do with their work.
397  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: My coins percentage down on: December 22, 2021, 11:58:39 PM
Even though the entire cryptocurrency and none crypto assets on the stock market price are down currently but the level at which my various altcoins portfolio crashed backward baffles me, please can anyone explain for me how the altcoins market works.

Well you better be ready for more backward crash for altcoins. It is known to many crypto users that during holiday seasons is a nightmare for all. It was called the red market back then as most coins are down. If the coins you've held survive then it has a good future as the devs are holding out the dump.
398  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Worst exchange you experience for trading on: December 22, 2021, 11:31:51 PM
There are lots of exchanges available in this crypto platform. Binance kucoin coinbase houbi and so many good exchange Where people keep trading daily. But apart from that, sometimes we need to use unknown exchange for trading. Some may good and some may bad. And thats what I'm looking for! Your selected worst exchange, may best for others but it doesn’t matter. Share the name of exchange which gave you worst trading experience, scam your fund or sometime else. Share, so that others can alert from it.

The only time I use another exchange aside from Binance is when the coin I have is not available on said exchange. Ican't remember the names of exchange that I have used and the only bad things that I knew that those exchange gave me was the withdrawal fees and the KYC. But most of them don't require KYC as they are knew ang gaining fame and users.
399  Economy / Economics / Re: Did you realize in real life how Bitcoin gave us financial freedom? on: December 22, 2021, 11:19:39 PM
Everyone knows how Bitcoin is a decentralized cryptocurrency and gives us financial freedom. I am wondering how did you realize that in real life that Bitcoin gave us financial freedom? This isn't a question, this is curiosity.

When I realized? And why? Let's describe it shortly.
A few days back I went to the bank to withdraw my deposit. That amount wasn't much big though, but the bank just asked me many questions. And surprisingly all were fucking questions. They asked me why do I need to withdraw and where will I spend. This happened first time with me since I was abroad for a long time. Then I realize how Bitcoin gave us financial freedom. No one is there asking me the question to spend my fund. How fucking centralized banking system even you have to encounter many questions during withdrawal your funds. They are asking questions like I am beger. This was my real file realization of how Bitcoin gives us financial freedom.

What about it, when did you realize in real life Bitcoin is giving us financial freedom?

Ours is the worst, me and my wife are afraid of losing our funds everyday since the issues of our bank got out. Unknown and unauthorized withdrawals are widely known recently. We can't close the account since we need it on our small business. The only thing we make sure is we don't left the money there, we only put minimum balance. We have used Bitcoin a long time ago and we haven't encounter problems utilizing it and gives us freedom of our money.
Another problem is the maximum withdrawals per day, if it exceeds you have to wait until tomorrow unless you  go over the counter and asked too many questions like what you have said.
400  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think crypto is going to replace the dollar? Jack: Yes, Bitcoin will on: December 22, 2021, 10:11:52 PM
I think not, Bitcoin cannot and does have a limited supply, they are on the opposite sides. Bitcoin continues to get scarce, and only a few does have it, and dollar is available to acquire by most people worldwide unlike btc you need an Internet and moat probably a phone.
