Hi -
Can I ask about the Revenue column?  You have two figures "Rev. BTC" and "Rev. 24h."
I assume that the Rev. 24h is the revenue your miner would receive in 24 hours of mining converted to BTC.  But what does the top number mean?  Rev. BTC?

Sure, Rev BTC is a revenue calculated using current difficulty and Rev 24h using difficulty average over last 24h.
Both values are per full day of mining.

I'd like to use the data for a presentation. Any idea where else I could get data from?

Just to clarify - I dont store profitability(or btc revenue) at all, its always computed on the fly.

Most accurate would be to get data straight from the blockchain for `difficulty`, `block_reward` with their `timestamp`.
Then add `exchange_rate` for this timestamp (or its 24hr average) and compute revenues.

I guess you could scrape it yourself from block_explorers, but for how many coins do you need it?
I have misunderstood that you need this exposed longterm. Are you looking for a one-time data drop?
383  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Whattomine - profitability website with basic json. on: June 09, 2017, 05:22:43 AM
Is there a way to get the coins result from the front page and add in skein to the html results?

I tried hacking in skein but with no results.

Its not possible right now, but you can call skein single calc json on a side and then merge it into index response.

@fonyo No time right now for this, but I would like to see graphs on the site one day.
What are you looking for? Past is past Wink

@MindALot There is no nicehash miner for linux? Interesting.
384  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Whattomine - profitability website with basic json. on: June 07, 2017, 08:33:57 PM
Just wanted to say thanks you guys do an awesome job, you make mining fun and profitable!

You should advertise with companies that have miners in stock. That's my only request, I see the x11 miner but they never have any stock. Also a good ICO to list on your website is Giga Watt which does hosting for miners, check it out https://cryptonomos.com/?r=1H2MkmZnQak9mIc0NKCaddDsQ

Avalon has stock, I don't know if they pay and you deserve to get paid but it'd be cool if they advertised on what to mine. Just trying to think of the few places that have miners left. Anyway thanks and cheers  Grin

Thanks Smiley

I am not really looking for advertisers, they usually come to me if they need an ad placed.
I think all baikal stock is bought instantly. Its possible they prefer to sell on chinese market first.
385  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v9.5 (Windows/Linux) on: June 07, 2017, 08:02:53 PM
No problem. Core +100, mem +950, power 60%. This Evga card can do more, but this is my sweet spot. Downside is, it can do only 100 Mhs on Sia so it's not worth to dual mine with it.

I asked for absolute values, but I can see that the main difference is ram.
I run mine at +500 which operates at 2150. (Never understood why it doesnt run at 2250 though...)

Not sure how safe is such high oc on the ram when you run a card 24h.
386  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v9.5 (Windows/Linux) on: June 07, 2017, 06:42:14 PM
sorry if this has been answered, but i was wondering since the 580s are way expensive or non existent if the 1060's are the way to go and what is the hashing difference between the 2? wondering if its better to get the 1070s, etc, whats the best way to go? cost wise etc?

On my 1060 I can get 23.7 Mhs with 74W from wall. Second one 23 Mhs at 64W. Ratio W/Mhs is better then on any RX.

Are you sure of it?
I see on YouTube a rig of 6x 580 drawing 800w as well
Am I sure?? I just build my 1060 rig this week. Sure I am sure Smiley
6 x 580 rig at 800W means 125W per card. I am talking about 60 to 74W per my card. Its about 40-50% less power usage for about just 20% smaller hashrate. Just be smart...

Nice results. Do you mind sharing your TDP/core/mem settings? (please give absolute values for core and mem Wink
Did you manually lower voltage below default curve?

I still would choose 20% higher hashrate, power costs are negligible today.
387  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's ZCash AMD GPU Miner v12.5 (Windows/Linux) on: June 07, 2017, 06:15:40 AM
Doh!
I just realized I was running 12.4 version.

Updated to 12.5, so far so good.

@Valgar nicehash released new version of the miner with updated CM miners, check if it helps.

All good after the night as well. My rejects are now solved.

I'm getting a lot of issues with the Claymore miner within NiceHash in the past week, anyone else getting this?

This happens on 3 separate rigs running different cards, Furys, 280 and 390.

What often happens is periods of rejected shares even though the cards are rock solid stable and periods of disconnects/timeouts, I've tried switching regions but the same issue. If I switch miners I get no issues, but of course Claymore is the best performing.

Getting the same.
My idea is there is a new coin out there that is not properly supported by CM miner, hence the rejects.
Hush? Zencash?

Please PM me the log file so I can check the reason.

Log sent. I think nicehash also sent new diff right before rejects started "Pool sets new share target: 0x000f0f0f (diff: 4352H)"

Added ZEN Zencash to gpu list
https://whattomine.com/coins/185-zen-equihash

Also added values for 1080 card to GPU section Smiley
392  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Whattomine - profitability website with basic json. on: June 06, 2017, 05:13:37 PM
Do you keep historical profitability data and if so is it accessible ?

I dont delete past data, but its not accessible, nor it is refined or even sanitized to be shown Tongue
393  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's ZCash AMD GPU Miner v12.5 (Windows/Linux) on: June 02, 2017, 12:56:55 PM
Nope, power is limited
They consume the same than with cm7 Smiley
I'll post a New video

No idea how this is possible.
Reducing TDP does nothing for my fury.
Whats your core voltage from gpu-z?
394  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's ZCash AMD GPU Miner v12.5 (Windows/Linux) on: June 02, 2017, 07:17:45 AM
Yep Smiley A lot of person was scpetical about R9 Fury.
But the GPU is really great and backed with a fu.cking fast mem ! And the best thing is that I bought them on discount for 240€ each.

The key, is the undervolting (-96 mV with AfterBurner) and reducing the max tdp (mine are -48% on Zcash for 410-430 H/s depending of the card, and something like 26 MH/s on ETH with those setting).
Back in the days, I made a video for a guy who don't want to believe in my results : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y86VLJirwN8
I was with Claymore 7 so the perf is less than the 400+ H/s from now. I'll try to record a new one.
But you can see the kill-o-watt meter + the second rig offline (no power draw) + the 5 Fury rig running

The Fury are really good, the only bad thing it's that they are huge and require 2x8pin PCI-E so you have to have a good PSU with a lot of cables.
That is why I was thinking about a card reseller and go for a new one ... but It seems that for now, it's the best.

I'll wait VEGA and the GTX 1170 to see

I am like 95% sure those cards needed a lot less power with CM7 than they need now.
I am running a -96 mV undervolt which gives me 455@200W.

I have reduced the TDP as you suggested but neither hashrate nor the power draw changed. Still at 200W.

Reduced core to 1000 (I usually run 1050).
Hashrate dropped to 435. Power dropped to 170W.
I can see that card lowered core voltage by 0.05V with this move, pretty cool didnt know it can do that.

I think your furies are drawing near 170W right now as well Wink
Still thats an interesting setup, -20h/s for 30W, not bad, thanks for the tip.
395  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's ZCash AMD GPU Miner v12.5 (Windows/Linux) on: June 01, 2017, 08:27:08 PM
Still in love with my R9 Fury.
430H/s for 130W
I was thinking to change them... But I can't find better now

Is this backed by watt meter?
Sounds a bit too good for me, more like 1070 values.
396  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Whattomine - profitability website with basic json. on: June 01, 2017, 06:44:46 PM
But isn't that the point. If you make less per day than your costs of producing are, you would stop. Basically the point where Marginal Revenue is Marginal Costs.

If we are just looking at BTC as baseline and we would make more mining alts instead of BTC, does that not automatically mean it makes sense at all if we are still loosing money doing so,because our cost are to high.

But still great website, i use it daily and now that i know how its calculated i can make my own spreadsheet calculation for my business Smiley

Keep it up

I would say current percentage formula is better suited for what I want it to show Wink
As for negative profit there is a separate field for that (also bold to make it more visible) - profit $

If you are interested more in current profit than in current revenue in BTC then I suggest sorting the list by profit.
Think this would be better representation of what you are trying to achieve.

Thanks again Smiley
397  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Whattomine - profitability website with basic json. on: June 01, 2017, 05:41:45 AM
Wouldn't it make more sense to calculate the profitability based on Revenue and Costs, instead of comparing it with BTC.

So lets say you got 2$ electricity cost and earn 4$ a day =>   4-2=2$  =>  100% ROI

Or am i missing something. I understood its calculated based on BTC revenue

Hmm not sure this would give any extra information?
For sure it would make percentages quite high.
It would also introduce negative percentage and I wanted to avoid that.

The current logic is "What percentage more / less will I gain mining this coin in comparison to ETH"
I think its pretty obvious, when you have a baseline with something set as 100%.

Oh and the name is wrong, someone already pointed that out.
I guess it should be named revenuability if thats even a word Cheesy

@Swimmer63
I have updated the reward yesterday and added halving formula as well.
Estimates should be good now.
398  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Whattomine - profitability website with basic json. on: May 31, 2017, 08:09:48 PM
GameCredits reward halved about 36 hours ago.  Should be 12.5 per block.

Just read your email, thanks Smiley
Honestly thought the reward is static here, will have to dig into wallet to find how often it halves.
399  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Whattomine - profitability website with basic json. on: May 30, 2017, 04:15:32 AM
Added filtering to the list of coins. Should be easier to browse now Smiley

No worries, I am no guardian of CM or his software, was just curious about your results.
Might play with sgminer in the coming days Smiley

Interesting though that this is not counted as a reject.
I always thought HW are shares that did not validate on CPU, hence GPU made an error when calculating it.
I remember back in the day we always wanted this to stay at 0, otherwise we were loosing shares and it was more efficient to run at lower h/s, but with 100% of valid shares.
