381  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Please tell me Avalon is legit on: December 03, 2013, 08:43:31 AM
They are probably having a Chinese New Year and will ship in a few days. Smiley

Speaking of that, I even called their rep "Chen" in Hong Kong, and his spouse or someone answered his phone, and said that he was not available.

Im seriously tempted to start visiting Hong Kong in the near future, to start setting up some personal contacts.  I want to have someone answer the farking phone when I call.  So it may help if they know me.

Im not a big player, but my finances are changing, and I intend to get in to hardware development this year.  I just need to find a reputable company to work with.

Hi slu2,

I'm very active in the cryptocurrency miner acquisition biz and I deal with manufacturers from the US, Asia, and Europe. I have Hong Kong contacts from a reputable company that has successfully shipped mining hardware: Black Arrow. They're developing their own ASIC called the Minion and my business partner and primary vetted miner host: bobsag3 from Miner Hosting LLC (who is also their official US reseller) is visiting them in Hong Kong in a few days.

My miner's cooperative has an Exclusive Group Buy of their x-3 Prosperos and we helped Black Arrow test their Prospero design and assembly process in a Bullet Run using Bitfury chips last month.

Please send me a PM with details about how you'd like to get into hardware development if you're serious, as I've found Black Arrow to essentially be the anti-Avalon IMHO [Avalon and BFL are permabanned from our miners co-op because of their past treatment of fellow miners]. I can't promise you anything, of course, but I'm always willing to help others and may be able to get you an intro to the owner of Black Arrow, if you're interested.

Sorry, at the moment, this part is all manual.

Also, for those wondering/asking: this is the only DZ MC GB open at this time.

Cheers,
DZ
383  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: List of all DyslexicZombei at-cost/below-cost Miners Cooperative Group Buys on: December 03, 2013, 08:10:48 AM
I finally got caught up to where I could update this thread. I apologize to everyone for the delay in getting to your PM and I'm sorry if I missed your PM (please resend it if I missed it and one of the other co-op leaders can't answer your question for you).

Holy cow, we're up to nearly 20 TH/s of ordered hashrate. Thank you everyone! This growth has been amazing. We're actually at well over 200 members - with tons of repeat buyers- and have done over $400K in gross sales of our low cost GB shares! Not too bad for a bunch of amateurs doing this in our free time. We've done so well and have attracted new talent and investors that we have now decided to go pro and have also been doing extensive planning for this over the last few weeks.

Please keep an eye out for continuous innovations coming from DZ MC co-op leaders, such as our Robocoin ATM service offering for those that have purchased 1 or more Robocoin ATMs. We have a number of cool projects in the works, and LTC/alt-coin mining is one of them.

==

As for doing an LTC GB: please send your requests for this to Thomas (thomas_s). He may have the bandwidth for this now that we're down to 1 open GB (Round 17 Black Arrow x-3 Prospero). We *may* end up just offering this on our site as mining contracts depending on the amount of interest we receive.

I can also report that the first master LTC/alt-coin GPU rigs for internal testing/mining have already been set up at our primary vetted host facility: bobsag3 at Miner Hosting LLC. Smiley
384  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: DZ MC: Round 5-6, KnC Jupiters. Please move ?s and discussions here. on: December 03, 2013, 07:26:04 AM
OK - here is the R5 and R6 December 1st payout info.   The coins will be winging their way to your wallets shortly Smiley

In USD terms, the R5 and R6 machines are still generating $15,000 worth of BTC every two weeks - they should remain profitable for at least another 6-8 weeks..

That's amazing that in USD ROI terms, just this half month almost generated more per share than we paid for 1 share, thanks to Bitcoin's rise in value, and thanks to other manufacturers not shipping miners yet.

The majority voted to sell this miner and we will if that's what the majority want.

We could probably get $18K-ish for it. For the sake of simple math: Assuming each miner makes $15K each month, that $18K only represents about 5-6 weeks worth of mining at current BTC values.

Shall we still sell or revisit this in a few weeks?
385  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: Black Arrow R9-12 threads, DZ Miners Co-op. Plz move ?s and discussion here. on: December 03, 2013, 04:42:10 AM
Thanks for being patient with this Bullet Run.

Another thing bobsag3 and crew had to deal with was: the flu!

He didn't mention this part but they had to deal with the flu on top of all the hardware failing.

Sorry, one more day's delay. Sad

bobsag3 is stuck in St. Louis! Turned out to be bad timing on the delivery WRT the holiday.

Shipping shortly?  Huh?  I thought this wasn't landing for quite some time.

Yeah, sorry fixed my post. Too many GBs even for me, lol!

I had updated R15/16 w/ shipping updates so I kinda had that round on my mind.

Thanks GG bobsag3!

Beautiful product barntech. Congrats! Smiley

I also have a Drillbit board that's being hosted with bobsag3 at Miner Hosting LLC (in addition to about 10-15 TH on the way, joining our co-op's ~6TH already on site from 7 rounds). bobsag3 is about as perfect a vetted miner host and reseller that you'll find, if you've ever had hardware hosted with him or bought from him before at minersource.net

Of course: I'm biased as his marketing/vetting agent for hosting and business partner in new ventures.  Cheesy
393  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: DZ MC: Round 5-6, KnC Jupiters. Please move ?s and discussions here. on: November 28, 2013, 04:10:12 AM
BTW, I've got *great* relations with Coingig if we felt like listing it there.

I helped the admins uncover a couple of scams there, and I'm a fan of their setup and site.

Also: I like the suggestion of doing a separate vote for sale method.

I'll mod the poll and reset voting.

Please don't forget to check your email if you'd like to vote

Thanks.
394  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: DZ MC: Round 5-6, KnC Jupiters. Please move ?s and discussions here. on: November 27, 2013, 05:44:05 PM
If you'd like to officially vote for this, please vote publicly or send a PM to thomas_s., -Redacted-, or myself, with the number of shares you own.

For example, via PM:

Subject: R5/R6 vote

Yes, please sell
3 shares R5, 3 shares R6

or publicly:

Keep Mining
3 shares R5, 3 shares R6

We need the voting equivalent of 101 R5/R6 GB shares (out of 200) to sell a Jupiter.
395  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: DZ MC: Round 5-6, KnC Jupiters. Please move ?s and discussions here. on: November 27, 2013, 08:13:24 AM
We now have R19 Neptune set up by request from our co-op.

However, I can't believe the prices that people are actually *still* paying on ebay for these:

http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_sacat=0&_from=R40&_nkw=knc+jupiter&LH_Complete=1&rt=nc

What's the general consensus on this? Even w/ ebay's awful fees, we'd still all stand to gain by selling soon, if that's what our majority want. A sale at this price is likely to be well over what the unit will generate (unless BTC prices continue to skyrocket).

If so: let me know as I need to go get my PayPal acct. out of limited status (they're not happy when you do a CC chargeback on BFL Jallys outside PayPal's 45 day refund window). That or we'll sell it thru Thomas's or Philip's account, if he's game.

Starting a vote. Please vote and tell your friends and tell other R5-6 co-op members to vote if you'd like to influence this vote.

Also: please follow up with a PM or public vote, including your number of share votes. We'll hold voting thru Saturday evening. Hopefully everyone will have stopped by before then.

Please also feel free to discuss the pros vs. cons of this early sale.

Thanks!
396  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: R19X KnC Neptune *2 Paid for* 60Ghash/$225/100 Shares Open! on: November 27, 2013, 07:59:59 AM
that is why you buy a share in r18 due in jan a share in r17 due in feb and a share in r19 due in march.

 cost is 70 +110 + 225 = 400 and buy .5btc to hold

 risk management at its best.
3 separate orders please.
Each round should be a separate order.

Yes, please separate Round orders from one another. For example: if you bought from R17 and R19. 2 shares in R17 would be 1 order, 5 shares in R19 would be a separate 2nd order...

Our backend tools don't separate this and instead lumps all the BTC together, meaning we have to do all these back calculations which can lead to possible errors.
397  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [OPEN] R18x: 1 TH/s Bitmine Rig, $70 = 10-15GH/s. Jan. '14 + DZ MC Bonuses on: November 27, 2013, 07:56:38 AM
I just received confirmation from bitmine that R18B is sold out.

It turns out that their January Rig maxes out at 2TH/s of nominal hashrate and not the 2.5TH/s that we were expecting.

Bitmine says they're in the process of updating their site which explains the inconsistencies we saw.
398  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [CLOSED]R13x: Black Arrow Bullet Run, Nov. + DZ MC Bonuses on: November 27, 2013, 07:54:15 AM
Thanks to everyone who hung in there for R13.

bobsag3 just told me that the boards will be in tomorrow on Wednesday.  Smiley

Also, if you didn't see my update on one of the other DZ MC GB threads, I'm a bit backed up on the PMs. Sorry, if I haven't gotten to your PM yet. Starting a new biz is time consuming, and we have a number of projects going on.

Doing my best to get caught up but please PM thomas_s, or bobsag3 (for hosting related questions) if you have questions that they may be able to answer for you.

Cheers,
DZ

Right on GG bobsag3!

I know I've got great partners when I wake up to new KnC product news...and the gents already have it all figured out!  Cheesy  Grin

Nice to know that we're all on the same wavelength about things like this.

OT: backed up on PMs at the moment, sorry everyone. Lots of meetings and discussions with investors. Catching up on PMs as best I can this afternoon/evening.
