381  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does Martingale Work? on: February 21, 2019, 03:15:26 PM
Martingale technique has been proved that it cannot make the gambler win in long term, its because the capital we got is limited, the house edge and the losing chance is bigger if we play for the long time, but if you play safe and know when to stop then you can make profit with martingale, but it won't work every time, set your stop limit will make you got better strategy to make profit
Regardless of short-term or long-term, a mathematical formula must work in similar manner. If it is not, something at somewhere is missing out or getting manipulated against us. I'm just talking about the general truth of how a mathematical thing must work. Still we must agree, no one could predict our luck factor how will it behave both in long term as well as in short term.

Martingale strategy must work everywhere but it is also influenced by our luck factor because we cannot claim that there will be no chances for having continuous negative things to happen for us in real life too. It may happen or may not happen and no one could tell anything about that.
382  Economy / Speculation / Re: bitcoin finally crossed $4000 on: February 21, 2019, 01:45:20 PM
Now the test begins. Bitcoin going above 4 thousand dollars is not a shock to any one of us but bitcoin staying above 4 thousand dollars and going even higher is a big test. If we can manage to stay at these levels for a while without going down than bull could start. That is how it happened last time, bitcoin prices tested out one by one each levels we can rise and than if it didn't dropped it went up again until at one level it did went down and than everything went to hell as we all know.

Hence, if we can stay above 4 thousand dollars for a while without dropping than it will surely test out 5 thousand dollars, after that if it stays we can test out 6 thousand dollars, it will continue like that until we test out a price and it goes back down at which moment price will start to freefall. It could be at this price, it could be at 10 thousand, we have to wait and see.
383  Economy / Speculation / Re: JP Morgan creating their own bitcoin storyboard with the help of Bloomberg on: February 21, 2019, 12:00:28 PM
Oh screw that! Bitcoin didn't increased because of JP Morgan, JP Morgan didn't buy bitcoin at that height and if you look at the market it is because people do tend to be speculative about the price and it always changes up or down.

JP Morgan trying to get attention from bitcoin world is just shady and I do not know what they think they could get out of this, they are not even supportive of bitcoin itself, they are trying to create their own blockchain technology so they could send and receive money easily which only helps them and no one else so they are not even helping out the market at any way possible. They will just become something like a bigger ripple for niche transactions of themselves without a public coin.

I hope their blockchain fails and creates a ton of problems for them.
384  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Successful ICO With No Buyback Mechanism on: February 21, 2019, 08:11:31 AM
I'm ok with buy back mechanism even if it is 50% of the ICO price, so investors will not lose I have seen going to the market with no buy order and the investors are nowhere to go because they are holding a useless coin, with no way out they are 100% lost here, buy back will ease that issue.
Where you get this 50% of ICO price or your suggestion ? A buy back mechanism should focus on volume that they are going to buy and definitely not at the price levels. It is like buy at market prices and at any volume. I believe there were many projects had implemented this buy back feature but it will not enough for convincing investors in my opinion too.

A real project will develop their business and then from the profits they will start investing into their tokens which will help them maintain a good reputation among crypto world and also in in their business domain too.
385  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins With Low Trading Volume? on: February 21, 2019, 07:24:04 AM
Is it very bad if a coin has a low daily trading volume?  The known coins have at least 6 figures or more traded daily at the very minimum.  And of course btc and the top 10 coins are traded in the millions and even billions daily.
Trading volume on daily basis must be an important criteria for choosing a coin for both investment or trading purposes. Unfortunately most exchanges are now a days faking volumes to attract innocent investors. We particularly have nothing to against this but we must need to do our own due diligence to safe guard ourselves. This is the problem and solution of high volume assets.

Let's come to your point of low volume coins. Investors may pick a low volume coin with future perspective but will never touch a low volume coin. Yes, low value and low volume are happening to one asset for various and different reasons. I guess, it would be much safer to stay away from low volume coins always.
386  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin cash is going to zero out?? on: February 21, 2019, 04:34:06 AM
I guess in near future they may have another hard fork to have another coin like what they have done for creating bitcoin-sv. This way they may keep on air-dropping new coins to have new investors on board.
Like what Tron was doing with Bittorrent airdrop ? But, I am not seeing any of these will be helping these coins in long term. People are always looking for actual growth not just these free stuff. It may be a short term quick triggers but not sure how intensively it may help on long term basis.

Bitcoin cash may survive in my opinion too due to their continuous bumping scenario. It may be from the devs or from the people out of world too. But, when they keep on bumping, they may list on top in coinmarketcap which is the reference for many people here to trade and to invest too.
387  Economy / Speculation / Re: What if the bull run refuses to come again? on: February 20, 2019, 03:56:32 PM
Well it didn't Cheesy. Good news is we are once again above 4 thousand dollars which is a good threshold to pass, lets hope for 5 or 6 or even higher will come and we will be relaxed about the price for a while. Being close to bottom is always a fear among people, when the bottom in the past 1 year is 3200 and you are at 3400 or so people fear we may go even lower than the 3200 price because we are so close and one big sale would make it go down.

However, when the price is above 4 thousand dollars (or more) its harder for price to go below 3200 levels so at least we know that bottom is far away and we are secure. The further we move from bottom the more braver people will get, if the price reaches 6500 today people will not fear from going below 3 thousand dollars because its unlikely but if we are closer to 3500 than people will start to fear which makes the price go down.
388  Economy / Speculation / Re: Finally little fire on bitcoin got ignited on: February 20, 2019, 02:52:37 PM
I just hope we do not get hopeless again if it falls back. The price is sustainable at these levels and we can stay here for a long time, there has been a ton of investments made into crypto space in the past year alone and that allows more and more people to be interested in bitcoin so increasing prices are amazing news and shows the value in investing not only into bitcoin but also crypto companies but at the same time we are in a situation where price still could go down at any moment.

If the price stays above it is because it deserves to be but if it goes down again we should not go back into panic mode, that kills the price more than the drop itself, people are afraid it will go under a thousand dollars or something and start selling like crazy dropping the price, if you fear bitcoin will go down and sell than you are making it go down yourself.
389  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why did Bitcoin hit $4,000? on: February 20, 2019, 02:16:14 PM
Because, it always does. Have you seen how many times bitcoin reached 4000 in the past 2 months ? About 4 or 5 times already. Do not be shocked when bitcoin increases without any proper reason and do not be shocked when bitcoin goes down (it definitely will) without any reason as well.

Bitcoin goes up and down without any reason all the time, its a speculative and manipulative market where rich people do whatever they want with either directly buying or selling changing the price or they could spend money on creating FUD or FOMO news to affect peoples minds and make the price move without spending a dime on the market. Its just how it is built and without proper price regulations (which we wouldn't want anyway) it will continue be like this forever.
390  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Reason why crypto market bull run on: February 20, 2019, 07:46:33 AM
Educating other people about bitcoin is necessary so that they are not trapped by various types of manipulator actions, in this way we can at least direct them to the right path, when and where they should invest their funds.
People who target long term will never get trapped. Still, I agree spreading awareness about the futures of bitcoins and how to make use of it is always important one. But unfortunately, most bitcoiners are not finding time for this. If they realize this type of educating the rest of people will benefit themselves too indirectly then I guess people may start thinking about spreading awareness.

Hopefully it will rise even more before it will start to dump.
I guess hereafter we may not see dump but only "corrections". Yes, you may not see big fluctuations when bitcoin turns into bullish mode Wink.
391  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Crypto arbitrage for noobs on: February 20, 2019, 06:21:07 AM
Instead of spending time for looking for arbitrage trading, it would be much better to go with some high volume coins along with strong technical analysis as it will guarantee some profits at least on weekly basis.
I am not finding anything wrong as I am capable of figuring out price gaps among my hectic schedules which including my day job and trading along with forum posting too. I mean you do not need to dedicate time only for the reason of arbitrage trading. You may do it with sharp eye-balls and also you might need to check in 2 or more changes for quick spot out.

I don't think arbitrage is worth attempting, transferring between exchanges can take a long time and any profits you may have had will get eaten up in fees.  The market is relatively efficient so there won't be any major price differences between exchanges anyway.
After the popularity of stablecoins like tether arbitrage trading has become easier compared to old times. Usually price gaps are frequently possible with USD based markets but unfortunately we were unable to move funds quicker in fiats but stablecoins had significantly eased that part in arbitrage trading.
392  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is this the beginning of the arrival of a bull run? on: February 19, 2019, 06:58:36 PM
It seems that it just started to bull run. Market is starting to green now. It is time for pumping the price. Hopefully price will recover it's past price within short possible of time. Be patient and wait for a big pump.
But, if you look into the history of bitcoin markets, it never got recovered in short possible of time. It had taken almost triple the time of it took for falling. It means if bitcoin was falling a year long then it may take up to 3 years of time to recover. But, history may not be happening exactly hence there will be a possibility to have prices to trade above $20k within this year too. Get ready for anything as bitcoin markets may have big players with institutional funds from around world.
393  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you think Institutions secretly HODL Bitcoin? on: February 19, 2019, 05:22:45 PM
I doubt it is "secretly". I am sure big companies definitely have a lot of bitcoins and even hire people to trade bitcoins for them as well and do big OTC moves so it wouldn't affect the price like it would on an exchange and all that but I doubt they hide it. I mean think about it how many of us really know which stocks which companies bought or sold in the past month ?

Wall street constantly buys and sells stocks and we do not follow them that carefully unless we are really into it and check their moves. Same applies to crypto, its not something they need to declare all the time and even if declared on some annual shareholder meeting or something the reach is small and minimum and unless shared with public its not something we really go and check ourselves. Hence I think institutions do hold bitcoins but not secretly.
394  Economy / Economics / Re: Russia Prepares To Buy Up To $10 Billion In Bitcoin To Evade US Sanctions on: February 19, 2019, 04:31:45 PM
Yeah, it can't be Russia, at least not this, it would have made a lot more increase in the price if it was Russia. Think about it, an average volume of 2 billion dollars in volume suddenly becomes 12 billion dollars in a day and then 10+ of it is just purely buy orders.

The price would have been like 6k+ at least if not even more. This is just a regular increase in the price that we constantly get, check out the last 2 months or so, price has moved above 4k countless times in the past 2 months, it is just natural that it went up this way again, it will probably go back down again and up again and down again and continue to do this until something big happens. If Russia wanted to buy bitcoin it would had a lot more affect on the price than all of this and would have increased it like hell.
395  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Roulette - what to bet on? on: February 19, 2019, 03:30:55 PM
You do not understand what gamblers are gambling for if you think there is no difference between those bets. If you gamble with the minds of a math teacher then you are not going to get the most important thing out of gambling at all, fun. Gambling suppose to be fun, gambling suppose to be something that you enjoy doing and not something you loath.

If you only go for the math and calculate the odds of winning a game then the wisest decision would be not gambling at all because since there is a house edge there is no way you will win. However, a gambler looks at the roulette table and sometimes go for the red and black or even their favorite number because they believe that is how they will enjoy it, put it on your birthday, put it on your wedding anniversary, if it comes the enjoyment you will get is much better than just putting it on red at a crypto place.
396  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Prediction Markets for Political Betting on: February 19, 2019, 05:55:43 AM
2020 going to be a huge huge betting opportunity. Look at the previous presidents in USA, papa bush served two terms if I am not wrong (I wasn't even born for most of it) and Clinton got the second one as well but cut short because of impeachment, bush with all his flaws and undeserved presidency that ruined almost everything in the whole world still served two years, Obama as the first black american president that revived the white Nazis again still served 2 years.

Now we have Donald, people say his presidency was the worst thing that happened to him and he will be impeached and his approval ratings dropped a lot and so forth and tell many many things that basically says he will not be the president in 2020 however the case that bush became president again and trump seemed like 1% chance at being the republican candidate let alone president but somehow managed to win shows that nothing is impossible in elections.

If I were to bet today I would still bet on trump, I would like to him to lose but I wouldn't bet against him.
397  Economy / Economics / Re: Another good news for cryptocurrency in the Philippines on: February 18, 2019, 03:45:15 PM
Maybe the tax laws would require people to hold bitcoins or even use them like the regular fiat currency is used ? If that is the case I doubt there would be any difference between buying a loaf of bread or a whole house. I mean the logic is the same in both of them, you pay the person in bitcoin and they give you the product, it could be anything. If that is allowed than buying a house shouldn't be a problem.

When these kinds of laws pass they usually include places (exchanges) that you can actually exchange your fiat to bitcoin and bitcoin to fiat because governments regulate those exchanges heavily. Same applies to coinbase and USA for example, government can't keep track of everyone so they put the workload to coinbase and trust them to give all info on people who has bitcoin.

If Philippines does the same with certain exchanges I don't see a reason why person A can't buy a house from person B as long as its tracked.
398  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Where can I buy? on: February 18, 2019, 02:07:14 PM
I am from Austria and I would like to buy REME and ETH. I can not decide on which platform is better to buy Roll Eyes. I have three platforms that seemed to me to be more advantageous, Binance, CryptocoinPro and Kraken. Can you help me, those who know the platforms? If you can tell me the advantages to make a comparison. Thank you!
I assume that you want to buy cryptos for your fiats. You do not have friends in your school/college/workplace to sell you BTC or ETH ? Because, when you are complete new to crypto, it would be much better to start under proper guidelines. You may go for buying BTC or ETH from them and then convert it into any token or coin at reputed exchange like binance. Please make sure, you need to clear KYC when you look for trading with them.

Another good and recommended method is finding local seller through this forum. You can make use of currency exchange board for this. In my view, only third option is using crypto exchanges by using your bank cards.
399  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are there any exchanges willing to list a non-Blockchain experimental coin? on: February 18, 2019, 01:11:43 PM
Most of the exchanges seem to want to deal only with Blockchain coins. I wonder, is there anyone who want to experiment with a non-Blockchain one, with its own protocol, own principles, etc. And if not, why?
Definitely there will be plenty of exchanges will be ready as long as you are able to their "listing fees". Moreover, tokens are not based on blockchain concept still exchanges were upgrading themselves to adopt etheretum based tokens in recent past times. Similarly, I do believe exchange may definitely look for adopting new innovations so that they can stay competitive in the market.

I'm just curious to know about what coin you are discussing here. If you're about to launch a non-blockchain based coin then that must be another revolution in digital currency industries. Why were missing out to explain/mention about your project. Please find time to elaborate that to this community.
400  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is there the latest news about Ethereum Constantinople Hard Fork ? on: February 17, 2019, 12:46:13 PM
Latest official news was on their blog post about how chainsecurity actually found a loophole in their smart contract system and could be dangerous and ever since then there is absolutely no post on their blog so far, not even about something unrelated, which comes to show they are probably figuring out how to fix that issue chainsecurity found and trying to implement that and try to beta test and check the issues and if there is anything left before getting out with another one.

These type of issues usually hurt the coins a lot so they want to make sure they don't postpone again, if ethereum decides for the hard fork again and then postpones again then people would lose all of their interest towards the hard fork and there would be less than half the people from the first time interested in it. So they are probably making sure everything goes according to the plan for the next time.
