421  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: No one is using dapps on: February 12, 2019, 04:36:26 PM
Across all platforms there are now 1828 live dApps.
I just get doubts about how accurate these data are. Overall these numbers are indicating that dapps are not yet favorites to common people because people are simply busy with some other social media whereas only technical people are making few transactions on these platforms, in a wild guess. Yesterday, ethereum's one of competitor Tron had a big day as they are attracting new investors through some long term air drop plans. So, not sure about where will be the future of ethereum.

These data make me more scared about possibile future of ethereum applications.... it seems that most of users don't use none of dApps....
Due to unlimited supply of ethereum, I never had big opinions about the future of ethereum and now it seems its dapps also not yet convincing people. So, investor may return back to bitcoin or in come cases to litecoin, it seems as they are having consistent investors all the times as per the history.
422  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are altcoins useless? on: February 12, 2019, 03:46:50 PM
there are such thoughts, but I don’t think that there is truth in the fact that something can be changed here. I am sure that now a huge number of people are trying to still have the opportunity to not sell the available finances for a penny. Everyone is waiting for the waves.
Even majority of the people from this community also thinking like that still I believe we cannot have general opinion like this on all altcoins as there are proven coins existing and I believe altcoins are needed for crypto space at least for testing nee features. But, I guess no once could ignore the important role being played by altcoins in promoting cryptocurrencies to new people. I believe this one reason is more than enough to conclude that altcoins are not useless.

We cannot simply pass the thoughts of "altcons are useless" because may altcoins are here for no reasons. They are just clones of some other modified coin's algorithms. When many altcoins are failing, we cannot stop people to have a common opinion like why these many altcoins are being introduced.
423  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Australia looks at Initial Coin Offerings positively on: February 12, 2019, 02:53:59 PM
Despite the negative assertions regarding the future of Initial Coin Offerings (ICO), Australia seems to still look at its future positively.

As reported by Micky News, the Australian Treasury said that they are aware of the possible risks in investing in ICOs, but they still believe that great prosperity will come to their nation after those risks were overcome.

Read more here: https://www.unblock.news/news/australia-looks-at-initial-coin-offerings-positively
If they want to get rid of the dangers of ICO than they should start looking into STO. If they somehow manage to merge the ICO system with a governmental approval or registration than they could become the home of many upcoming new coins. All the new coins has to do would be having an office and applying for registering with their real names and real address. That way if anything bad happens like ICO trying to scam people the government would have all the info they need to catch these people and help people sue them and get their money back.

Unfortunately right now the system is giving the scammers some anonymity and that creates some problems for everyone. Australia or any other country could change that with just one simple law and that would be really looking at it positively.
424  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What happens to your tokens when you're gone one day? on: February 12, 2019, 11:22:46 AM
Just recently, a news showed how one crypto whale died with his cryptocurrencies worth millions of dollar. No member of the family had access to his private keys and other login details. Are you ready to face the same fate and leave your children or family without having access to your hard earned cryptocurrencies some day to come?
That must be really pathetic situation for a family due to ignorance of one crypto adopter. He must have prepared to face everything because nothing is certain in this world and everything might change upside down in a fraction of second itself hence everyone here must need to be prepared to inherit our wealth to our next-generation so that we will find some meaning for our time and hard work. We should not waste our crypto savings hence need to take steps accordingly.

Showing your wallet login details to them now can also be risky so what are some of the preparations you are making towards the retrieval of your money when you are gone for life one day?
How it will be risky to show with our family members. I really could not understand what kind of situation you are referring. It may be different family system in your country than mine. I guess if we are not able to trust our family members then who else we may able to ?
425  Economy / Economics / Re: Hamas Military Wing Crowdfunding Bitcoin on: February 12, 2019, 04:54:18 AM
If the option of bitcoin is not available to them right now then they might be trying out the same crowdfunding with some other payment processors like prefect money or something else. Terrorism is not new here and their ways of fund rising is also not new here. It means we should not give attention to this kind of media as they are indirectly trying accuse bitcoins whereas the actual problem is persisting for decades and governments are busy with something else.

Why Forbes (and others) is not at all pointing out on how charities are easily able to collect funds across borders with the help of bitcoins and how easily crypto based crowdfunding are being done and helping new start ups to flourish to bring innovative solutions to old problems.
426  Economy / Economics / Re: Institutional money into Crypto? on: February 11, 2019, 04:19:22 PM
For the fact that "bitcoin will be death of wall street and not an instrument" we are already beyond that. Wall street already turned bitcoin into an instrument and people use it like a commodity and investment.

Bitcoin wasn't suppose to be an investment, it supposed to be money itself, however people use it like "put dollars into exchange, buy bitcoin, sell bitcoin, withdraw more dollars from exchange" and since they started using it that way and bitcoin became a topic of "how much dollar it is" instead of "what is the buying power of it" wall street already won.

Bitcoin will never hurt wall street from now on, there is no way, maybe master card and visa but not the investment companies, they will jump in on this and some of them already did and I am sure most of them hold some bitcoins just in case and that resulted with bitcoin losing that "wall street killer" ideology long ago.
427  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Crypto redefine current economic models? on: February 11, 2019, 03:24:02 PM
The power is already given to the "people", these rich folks are not machines, they are people too. If you give the option to wider audience than the small ones than that could be a solution however people hate that because it means they will all live a mediocre life and just survive instead of one day becoming like their idols who are super rich. That is what has been the issue of communism vs capitalism from the beginning.

If you run a capitalist country like USA and then postpone debts and steal from others and just shut an eye on the fact that even hospitals are stealing from people then you can live in a world where someone could become a super billionaire at any given time.

However, if you live in a country like Sweden for example you will all live in a very cool life, no one is too poor, you can still be an IKEA but its harder and wouldn't make as much compared to what you could if you were in USA and still live in a healthy fine life. Same applies to technological improvements, countries like USA will use it to improve the rich and not worry about the poor whereas some countries will see that as a chance for universal income.
428  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Scam Crypto Telegram Groups on: February 11, 2019, 05:05:57 AM
There are lots of scam attempts are happening everyday through telegram groups. In recent times, I did see a group in the name of binance exchange but I was sure I never joined in any such a group. They were promoting like they were starting something new and for that they were giving away free ETH. To participate new need to send some ETH then they will send back multiple times of ETH. An old way of scamming innocent people, but the prime thing here is I never opted to join such a group still it is happening in my computer.

I guess there are many vulnerability for our security in telegram usage. For example, they allow people to change their username hence it become easy for people to hide.
429  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Mistakes need to avoid in day trading on: February 10, 2019, 06:02:28 AM
When dealing with your hard earned money, its common with most traders to have this trying to protect their investment and wanted to earned profits, emotionless trading can be learned somehow but hard to really stabilize, we are working with our money and if we wanted to avoid mistakes we need to have lots of things to consider.
Emotionless trading must be possible only after months of practice but definitely not through just learning from books. We must focus on where we are lagging and what are the things which are pulling us down from achieving big in trading. This is possible only in real time. Hence, we must learn in real time. For this reason, small amount of capital is recommended in the beginning days of trading so that we may learn for "lesser fees" comparatively.

Emotional trading in crypto and even stock market or forex is inevitable because your money is involved, so I don't see that point as valid or very important.
Inevitable means in what sense ? Just because of our money involved, we cannot allow our emotions to overtake our trading plans. We always must stick within our original trading plans so that we can hit what we originally looking for. Emotional trading must be a very big mistake and it needs to be avoided at any cost.
430  Economy / Speculation / Re: Where do you expect Bitcoin to "settle" once the market is mature? on: February 09, 2019, 05:26:25 PM
Eventually if bitcoin is adopted by the world its volatility will tick way down and it's market will mature. Look at gold it is fairly settled between in the 1200 - 1400 range for the past about 6 years now. Where do you think that point is for Bitcoin? Not saying it won't occasionally have big movements, but outside of some big economic event that causes a big price movement where do you think it will settle?

I'm thinking in the $300k/$400k range.
300 Thousand dollars per bitcoin is about 5.4 trillion dollars. All by itself. I just wanted to point that out because nasdaq itself is 7.4 trillion dollars. That means you think bitcoin could worth around the same as all nasdaq combines combined together. Like literally all of nasdaq comes together and all those companies and all those marketcaps all come together to worth 7.4 trillion dollars and you think its possible for bitcoin to reach there ? I am sorry but you must be dreaming.

More honest potential is 1 trillion at best and thats around 55-60 thousand dollars. I am fine with that type of pricing because it makes it more realistic than some imaginary skyrocketing that makes it sound like we are in a cartoon world or we are in some sort of game.
431  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: which is better to burn tokens every year or dividends every year? on: February 09, 2019, 06:38:40 AM
which do you think is better for long-term projects, burn tokens or dividends every year?
both of these choices have their own advantages. which one is more reliable to increase prices and keep the ecosystem of tokens on the market?
I'm just curious is to know what are the advantages and what are the major differences between these two options other than obvious things. I mean burning will lead less number of tokens to represent your project whereas dividends will obviously increase the value of your tokens. I'm not sure what are the own advantages of these two methods, you are talking about (it is better to add them up in OP itself).

I do hear corporate are following a method of "splitting" so that they will be having more number of shares but with less value. If you consider this then burning out must be a new thing after the introduction of crypto space. People are keeping weightage to "total market cap" rather than value of one unit. So, burning cannot be a right option.
432  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Centralized and Decentralized Exchanges on: February 08, 2019, 01:46:45 PM
Hackers could potentially find a way into any of them so its always a security risk, just because its decentralized doesn't mean its 100% safe. I agree that trust is lacking in may exchanges right now even if they are decentralized because we have seen too many "hacked" stuff recently and we are really afraid what could happen next.

Maybe someone will figure out a way to pour all exchanges into their own wallets on a decentralized exchange and that way get all the money they could until they are stopped? Who knows how it could be done but in the end crypto currency space is getting once more the most trustless place on earth where people only trust themselves and even do that barely.

Just go with an exchange you know and used so far and it doesn't matter if its decentralized or centralized because if hackers aim at a place it will not matter.
433  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Poloniex About to Drop Support for Monero on: February 08, 2019, 12:52:09 PM
Monero is one of those coins that is totally misunderstood and also used totally in the wrong ways. They came out because they were tired of governments watching them like 1984 style and wanted to be financially free from their grasps and want to build their own bank without being watched constantly and tracked. Look at your credit card bill and calculate what you spend most money on and check the text message ads you get, most of them are the things you spend money on.

Monero came out to prevent these type of things. Instead it became the coin for darknet stuff and illegal stuff because when given the chance of not being tracked at all there was no other better use than bad people using it to do shady stuff without being caught by anyone. Something so simple that was wanted turned out to be used in something so horrible. I really feel sad about it.
434  Economy / Marketplace / Re: {New} [Comparison; Tutorial; Profit; Settings] 💙 Trading bots 💙 on: February 07, 2019, 07:35:26 AM
I hit this topic for gaining some knowledge on various bots but you are sounding like advertising one particular trading bot rather than comparing few available bots. Either you might need to edit your subject line or you must include relevant contents to this discussion. Please do not mislead this community.

It would be good if you provide a table of comparison of trading bots so that interested people may look into past performances and price levels to decide about going for bot based trading. I have an idea about having a bot for my trading but not sure before evaluating a bot by its past records. I just decide you to follow through tetegram channel, I believe at least there I may get what information I actually looking for.

I guess this topic might be better suitable under trading discussion or service discussion boards.
435  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Buying goods or services using crypto on: February 07, 2019, 06:21:08 AM
i will recommend flogmall for you  ..  they are  largest marketplace  where people are  buying and selling Using the crypto  they are legit

so you Visit them https://flogmall.com/
We are having such many services/market places for spending cryptos but the main problem is finding an appropriate one which will be delivering to your country as many of them not having facilities to ship world wide. I checked the site you mentioned and I am not sure that they are also shipping to all the countries.

I guess it would be much better approach when recommending some services or marketplace to this community, you also must mention about their limitations of possibilities of services. Even forum members do mention about free USA shipping or about limitations on shipping facilities.
436  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why the Bitcoin Bubble Burst is Good for Crypto on: February 06, 2019, 01:53:36 PM
It is also not talking about how the bubble existing in the first place is not really good but aftermath could be good.

I understand that a bubble crashing could potentially have benefits but also at the same time I think being a bubble is the cause of all this problems.

People look at the ICO's and 20 thousands and so forth and they say "well it wasn't sustainable so look at it this way at least we will have an amazon of crypto", I understand bitcoin will be amazon of crypto but why would we have a dotcom bubble to begin with, why have something that is not sustainable to begin with ?

Why wouldn't we slowly increase from 800 dollars 2 years ago to 3500 today in a slow and steady manner instead of having all these ups and downs constantly? Wouldn't that be better than the bubble and crash ?
437  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Bakkt really an overrated event? on: February 06, 2019, 07:46:25 AM
I do not understand why people have a need to downplay the importance of Bakkt. First of all if you rate bakkt at a level where you think it will change the face of bitcoin then yeah you are overrating bakkt by a large margin. However, the reality is that its another way of buying bitcoin and a new system of delivery and that is always a good thing. Its not a world changing oh my god why wasn't this created sooner type of deal but its still "good" , that's it. Not even great.

Why wouldn't we want a company with hundreds of millions of dollars invested into putting up something like this ? That would only help us, even if it helps the crypto economy to grow 1% that is still a good thing. The overrated and underrated depends on how you rate it but if you rate it too low like it wouldn't even matter then you are wrong but if you rate it like it is the best thing that ever happened then you are wrong too.
438  Economy / Speculation / Re: Lesson from the prolonged bear market on: February 06, 2019, 07:00:45 AM
Sincerely, it is not so easy with this long time dump/bear market. Long awaiting promises weakens the heart. I hope guys have learnt their lessons like when next the bull run appears you take the best opportunity and invest for the raining day. What's your lesson too?
During the peak times of bitcoin we have learned how to "trade" and how it works, all of us became daily traders, we decided we can make money this way, there was a lot of people that went "well if I can make 10% monthly like this I can make a living out of this" and hell I am sure there were plenty of people who quit their job to become full time crypto traders and so forth. But thanks to this lesson from the bear market, all of us learnt what "investment" means and how it works.

All of us saw the price drop and some of the people who got in at peak left because they lost money and didn't want to continue but other smart people realized how far can it go down ? We are constantly buying and dropping the dollar average and eventually when bitcoin increases again we will be in profit and making bank.
439  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How long do you think this BEAR MARKET will LAST? on: February 05, 2019, 04:55:24 PM
When bitcoin hits this low there are not many people who are willing to sell lower, the price hits to a level where people are not comfortable with selling their coins which in return means as soon as we have some new hype that makes buyers go into rage mode and gather all bitcoin they can afford we will sky rocket.

When that bull will come is still uncertain but the good part is that bear people are now gone, we are not in a bear market anymore, we are in a stable market, bear market means going down and we are not going down anymore (sometimes we go down a small amount but we recover that quickly so it doesn't really worry me) so this is not a bear this is a stable market. Stable markets are usually followed by bull markets and we just have to wait for that hype about bitcoin once again.
440  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Crypto to crypto exchange transactions available on Binance on: February 05, 2019, 03:16:51 PM
I see a news about how binance started a OTC crypto to crypto exchange, I click it and can read the article, I can see the binance tweet, then I can see the conference pictures and talk. Yet I fail to see where the OTC crypto to crypto link is.

I mean they are improving their exchange a lot and to be honest with you I didn't expect binance to become this big during their ICO time and tought they would be just another exchange, to think that this new ICO exchange that required funding from us to be able to run their website actually became the biggest exchange is really beyond measure, they are great.

However, I still can't find where that OTC crypto to crypto exchange is, am I missing something, where is it located on the website can anyone help me ? Credit card deal is amazing but I do not use credit cards so I would prefer to check out this crypto to crypto thing.
