381  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [ANN] Goxxed For The Last Time Commiserative Anniversary Edition! on: August 22, 2015, 12:51:49 PM
Got my Anniversary coin, it looks great!
Is it hand carved painted?

Thanks a lot, left a few positive words Smiley

Glad to hear TookDk!

It is hand painted yes using a stencil-type technique so each coin has it's own uniqueness to it. This does mean that there can be occasional smudging, but I don't tend to sell those- or if I do it is at a discount.

Anyone interested in some of these shoot me a PM and I will have them out during the next week Smiley

I've adjusted the price in line with the latest selloff. I'll be putting these on cryptothrift at some point, hopefully this weekend.

Looks like the top of the UK housing bubble (even maybe in areas of London) has just peaked with this new legislation proposal. Will be interesting to see what actually is passed. I'm somewhat surprised by this move since so many MPs in Westminster own rental properties themselves...

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/personalfinance/investing/buy-to-let/11816720/Death-of-buy-to-let-landlords-wake-up-to-Osbornes-150pc-tax.html

The unfortunate consequence I agree with in the article is this:

"● a degree of tax that pushes them into loss, making their investment financially unviable and forcing them to increase rents sharply – or sell."

Seems it's just a money grab... As MA has predicted. Glad to see the Uk gov is continuing their consistent tinkering with the property market.
383  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [SALE!] Unobtanium Pure Silver Wallet - Plated available on: August 22, 2015, 11:09:49 AM
I received my pure silver bars, thank you!
They look great!

Thanks bitspender!

Other orders will be completed soon. With shipping beginning next week.

The situation is this; the hologram supplier went on holiday in the middle of an email conversation without telling me (which isn't great). So I got replacement holograms from my original supplier in the UK. All customers will have the option to purchase the 'original' newer type holograms at minimal cost while also receiving their bars and appropriately numbered holograms as soon as the replacements arrive.

I figured that everyone would rather have their bars sooner rather than later with appropriate holograms. And since the US hologram supplier will be away for another week and a half, with you having waited long enough already I hope that you will be happy with my handling of the situation- with the option to purchase the 'original' holograms at cost.

Im still hold my bitcoin and watch more speculation Thread, before i sell or buy bitcoin

If you are still holding a significant position, I would keep a trigger finger on a stop-loss. There is a lot of uncertainty going forward, but who knows, maybe we'll rally back up to $300.. In that case I'd be selling the last of my holdings. And waiting for some real indications of what lies ahead.

I guess a lot of people think like you hence i would not even consider a rally back up to 300 to be likely.

But then again, who knows.

(Except masterluc ^^)

yes, I have been using myself as an indicator over the past month- and if I am like any other small time investor that's slightly plugged in, then this xbt shit along with breaking of significant trends and resistance has severely shaken my confidence in any rally. Though at the same time I'm tempering my expectations of how low we can go as I fully intend to buy back in. Somewhere there is a centreground.

386  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Coin Making Guide- an e/Book on making coins, bars and physical bitcoin wallets! on: August 21, 2015, 01:40:20 PM
I've read this book in a couple of days.
It's really interesting and it's a "must have" for every person who likes this kind of reading.
Well done, recomended!

Thanks for the kind words Lairew!

You can't spend a $220 bill at a fast food drive-in in Belgium:

http://www.armstrongeconomics.com/archives/36159

In the meantime, Greece is heading for elections on Sept. 20.. There's a physical impasse between ideology and the "EU business" and this has to be cleared out. As I've expressed earlier "Democracy lives no more in Greece" since elections is just another elegant tool of the EU totalitarianism to do their job. There's absolutely no difference what the Greek people will vote.

Our ability as a nation to decide about ANYTHING ended the moment our elected government decided that would be a disaster if we leave the EU. Maybe they know better; but that's not what people elected them for.  Undecided

Is it possible that a majority government will be elected that are anti-EU?

Scientifically speaking everything is possible (as explained in detail in MWI model by Graham-Everett-Wheeler) but the most possible scenario would be that PM Tsipras will get rid with a "democratic procedure" the far left wing party that opposes to his "decisions" (or if you prefer the directives the EU officials forced him to implement).

The worst case scenario (which is very possible) is that the far right (the fascist scheme of Golden Dawn) gets a good proportion of the "anti-memorandum" people that in the previous elections vote for SYRIZA and NEW GREEKS parties (which is now government). That would mean the country who invented Democracy ends up with a scheme that eliminates it. This is just fucking sad. Cry

Ah the Many Worlds Model Smiley But, that is extremely concerning in regarding to the Golden Dawn. Thanks for the summary.

I wonder about the practicality of a meshnet when a government has an explicit ban on them, I'm unaware of anything like that in the EU. But even if innovations in this area were not available to the public you would still likely get network enclaves and at the very least high capacity USB data stick swapping (as in North Korea with distribution of western and eastern media) and perhaps even dead-drops of data.

Also- for all those with orders on the way, the new key labels are smaller and the template is here (I will also updated the OP):

Word Doc version

I recommend using a combination of 2 labels under the key for the text to be clear.

I don't know how I missed this. The gold bars looks great.
Are there any left?
I hope you are doing well.

Right a small update- I have posted roughly half of the orders. For the other half read on...

There has been an issue with the holograms. This is my fault for not checking the numbering soon enough and take full responsibility.

If you have not been contacted by me then do not worry- your bars are on their way to you.

If you have, you know the problem and you also know that I am taking steps to remedy the problem as soon as possible.

Sorry for the further delay and as always thank you all so much for the support and kindness! Have a great weekend!

Hey Mane! I'm good thanks, how are you? There are approx 12-14 gold plated bars left so still a decent amount!
393  Economy / Economics / Re: Economic Totalitarianism on: August 18, 2015, 06:10:52 PM
I am going toot my horn again. Because there is something I want to say to someone in private and I might as well write it here as it is useful information.

My consensus network design is robust against a fragmented network or a network with very low global bandwidth, e.g. HAM and shortwave radio.

That is in addition to the elimination of 51% attack (and selfish mining attack also). Elimination of Finney attack and pool attack and other attacks on 0-confirmation (instant) transactions (real-time to sub-100ms).

And my design scales to any level of transactions with no block size issue.

And it elminates the economics of ASICs putting mining back in the hands of the users. Pools either won't exist or can't attain a significant portion of the hashrate.

And several other amazing features in addition to the ON CHAIN autonomous anonymity improvement over all existing anonymity offerings (Cryptonote, Confidential Transactions, Zerocash).

What more could you ask for? It is nearly perfect.

It sounds like a scam right? Impossible right? Nope. This is legit. Believe me, I am just as flabbergast as you are.

Thought I'd sum up my thoughts on this matter with a cat. This is good news Smiley

$1000 dollar currency notes ($1 = 0.98 franc):

Potentially useful info for those of us in Europe for sure.

Us outsiders of the U.S.A are seeing a break up along racial lines in the U.S.A causing friction among the youth, I think you will see a growing number of racially motivated gangs emerge?

Thoughts Americanos?

I suppose it's everywhere, people looking for a scapegoat, but may become a bigger problem in areas given a heavy dose of multiculturalism.

Edit: what I am seeing everywhere.

Britain has heavily relied on immigrants for war and jobs in the past and present. Many immigrant waves have successfully integrated into the UK- many African and in particular Polish, Indian and Chinese immigrants. I have seen a lot less (but still some) outright racism towards these groups than to the relative tsunami of immigrants that have arrived in the UK over the last 15-20 years where assimilation into British culture has been slow and shaky (if it has happened at all)- this has caused some tensions and I'm interested to see how it will resolve. This is currently taboo in British politics (apart from some fringes) and is largely centred around muslim immigrants.
Please note I am generalising, I know many muslims who are peaceable decent people both in London and where I live now. It is interesting to note that there seem to be almost exactly the same tensions here in The Netherlands too.

There was a recent 'White Man's March' in Liverpool, England. There were I think 2 counter protests (anti racist), causing the police to basically act as a barrier between them. This shows me that both extremes miss the entire point of cultural consistency as a strength of society to cooperate, understand each other and thrive. One side blindly hating and another blindly following their political correctness and ideology over a cliff in group-think. I do not think there will be any race related gangs popping up in England (apart from the ones that already exist in the 'impoverished' areas) any time soon. I can see small groups forming in the countryside in a mad max scenario, but that is currently a very extreme outcome.

edit: I bring up the hard-right march as an example of British culture's reaction to ant-immigrant sentiment. I am not a proponent of hard-right race based fringe groups. This could also be a reflection of the UK's views on equality, but not, I fear on free speech (which is actually non existent in the UK).

Awesome, always love to see people's photos!

The delay is in postal supplies- I'm out of the cardboard envelopes that I have started using to protect the labels and holograms and while I could start shipping with padded envelopes, they do not offer as much protection.
