381  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and gambling which one has done you more harm on: September 30, 2023, 12:23:47 PM
But I want to ask you if there are any similarities between bitcoin and gambling?  I mean comparing bitcoin to gambling, is it fair? One side is potential wealth and the other side is gambling. I don't think gambling has enough potential to compare to bitcoin or any other asset or financial market. Gambling is gambling and investing is investing, we should not make such lame comparisons. Why does no one compare gambling to stocks or forex, while we as bitcoin investors compare it to gambling?
There's no similarities, people just think of the old adage about life being a gamble and so they end up trying to to make it like all things are related to gambling when in reality it's not. Although it's a debatable thing, I don't think it's worth our time to ponder which is which and what are the distinctions. Gambling relies too much on luck meanwhile bitcoin doesn't, some might say that those who invested early were lucky but at that time, they didn't know the potential and they just bought in because they liked the concept.
382  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin always fight back on: September 30, 2023, 06:53:50 AM
It is because no matter what happens in the world, bitcoin will always have some use to some people and for that reason , there will always be some demand for bitcoin. That means bitcoin will always have a price support. That support was around $15k (probably higher now) and that support level will keep going higher because the adoption of btc is getting better and better every day. In this context it is almost impossible to lose money if you hold btc long enough and if you buy btc from these support levels you will generate great returns.
We can never know for sure if this is for real, bitcoin hasn't been in existence when the significant economic crisis has happened and no significant wars that devastated economies has happened while bitcoin has been in circulation, unless we see any of that ever happen, that's when we will be sure that bitcoin is crisis proof as many people say. But for now, we can all just hope for it that it's not just a theory. Regarding it's growth and security though, in an economy like this bitcoin is definitely the better investment for any plebs that aren't in the big leagues.
383  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I smell fear... on: September 30, 2023, 02:00:37 AM
Think of it this way, Kiyosaki is a businessman and he knows how the market works and the behavior of the people in the market so it's an obvious thing for him to do is to sow fear and discord in favor of his interests which currently aligns with bitcoin experiencing a downfall. Or probably he wants us to think that he has an insider information so some people get confused and try to follow what he's saying.

385  Economy / Economics / Re: How do you deal with financial stress? on: September 29, 2023, 02:43:12 AM
A global crisis began after Covid 19 and this crisis still continues its effects. After something ends, a new crisis occurs, such as a war or a refugee crisis, while some balances are disrupted and inflation is fueled in the world. Housing and food prices are currently on the rise all over the world, there is too much demand and the supply does not meet the demand. You need to stay away from stress. First of all, it will be healthy for you to stay calm, make a plan for yourself and continue believing in that plan. Everyone is experiencing these financial problems right now, and they are very serious. If you can meet your shelter and food needs, of course you will need time to find a clean method. Just use your time wisely.
Oh no, there's already a financial and economic crisis looming, the lynchpin was the COVID pandemic which sped up things although I couldn't really back up the claim without any further reading into the economy before the pandemic, I am sure that an economic collapse during the pandemic can't happen as quick as a snap. COVID also unveiled the ugly truth of how countries handle pandemic and how they can stay afloat during the crisis. Only thing that needs to be done right now is for people to start thinking about the community as a whole and see that this financial crisis can't happen if the big corporations and the government aren't colluding to get more for themselves and less for the masses.

Dealing with financial stress for me is not that big of a deal because I am not that materialistic and having a job that pays helps me save money for when things are in dire situations, living in moderation and being content with what you got is really helpful, the peace of mind is worth millions.
386  Economy / Economics / Re: Has everyone become too pesimistic about the economy? on: September 29, 2023, 01:22:30 AM
With all the news of the economy being on the negative side and people feeling the effects of that said economy, I think it's understandable why a lot has become pessimistic, it's not like they can do anything about it individually, it's the government's incompetency and stupid policies that has lead us to this point, unless people start thinking about putting the competent personnels on the critical parts of the government, there's no change and the pessimism will eventually become the norm.
387  Economy / Economics / Re: Diversification in Global reserves. on: September 28, 2023, 11:08:39 AM
I wouldn't trust my wealth being put in RMB (yuan), the current economy of China isn't really the best one comparing to US even if many claim US lost it's purchasing power which I believe is BS because if it did lose that much, why is it still the most used currency around the globe when it comes to trading goods among countries? I would only trust in diversification when I know that the countries where those currencies comes from have a stable economy and has a real potential to compete against the US dollar in the global market.
388  Economy / Economics / Re: Is the government can really make a way to end poverty or it depends on us? on: September 28, 2023, 04:45:10 AM
I literally don't think government can end poverty alone, we need to be their helping hands too. But, it completely depends upon the intentions of the government whether it is interested in doing good work for the society or are there just to fill their own pockets. They can't create jobs out of thin air, we must also do something so that we can also create opportunities for others and not just make money alone, because that's how a country will prosper and grow. A government can rule the country, but a citizen can make/break a country.
To be honest, I think that there should first have a government that has the right policies so the people can smoothly do their part in prosperity. Even if we say that the people should their part first, it wouldn't be of any use because without a support from the government, the people will be fighting against the crooked policies.
389  Economy / Economics / Re: Is academic pursues enough to get incomes? on: September 28, 2023, 02:27:22 AM
Depends on how well you've done in your degree program, if you're like me who just happen to have it for the sake of having a degree then it wouldn't be enough if you want a large steady income but if you did well in your degree and you passed it with flying colors then expect that you should be able to demand a bit higher in your wages although that depends on the company because there are some that didn't do well with their degree program but their work ethic and hardwork made them an asset to their organization so in the end what matters would be your attitude in your job and how you do your work.
390  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: please help me? on: September 27, 2023, 04:54:37 PM
Information is still unclear about how this could happen. OP's bitcoins can be stolen by accusing the user of being on this forum.

Can you explain in detail.

Check that the BTC wallet address has been sent to Binance.
OP hasn't replied to any of the posts recently which either means that OP has found the thief and that they have an amicable agreement to return the stolen bitcoins (which is the least likely thing and just me wishful that this was the case for this one) or that this is just something created to create a scene, someone trying to stir something that didn't really happened.
391  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: BC GAME - Rugged for 40$ bonus buy + ultra predatory approach to void winnings on: September 27, 2023, 07:28:48 AM
BC has other issue with another user and the user just recently updated that BCx hasn't responded or has tried to resolve their issue with that user, it seems that BC game is planning to just quietly fade into the background and hopefully those that have issue with them don't update and so they don't have to return any money and then they're back to the business. Hopefully you have more evidence so your already solid claim gets stronger.
392  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: BC.game asking me to lose intentionally, then confiscating funds on: September 27, 2023, 06:04:40 AM
Hello, we are now 12 days further since you said this.....I thought you were taking my complaint seriously but I'm starting to doubt it now. Why does it take you so long to solve this case? Just credit me back the 88mbtc funds and then it's closed. If you keep ignoring this thread for much longer I will have to start a flag against BC.game. This is rediculous.
It seems they can't bring themselves to bring back your bitcoin but a little patience would help you although I would be frantic right now if 12 days have already passed now. I think it's justified that you can raise a flag right now because given how easy the problem could be solved if they're really willing to solve it, they would've done so a long time ago. I assume they want to let this issue die down because they haven't found any way to implicate any wrongdoing on your part so they can void your claim.
393  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you seen gambling advertisements on TV? Opinion. on: September 27, 2023, 03:57:55 AM
My country has a pretty strict control of ads on TV so the only gambling ads I've seen on TV is probably the Lottery results or during any big Pacquiao fights. Although I don't like the TV regulatory board in my country because of how much they censor and cut their shows to accomodate more advertisement to the point that airtime for ads are larger than actual shows and their morality so backwards, I still agree that gambling ads shouldn't be a thing because you can't filter out your audience, there will definitely be kids that's going to see them and we can all agree that it's not the time for them to learn about it.
394  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [WARNING] Crypto casino scam on teh move again. on: September 26, 2023, 01:37:49 PM
~
The false KYC can be damaging in so many ways, fake loans, making a fake company, tax fraud etc. All things potentially way more damaging than the money lost.
Fake loans are the scariest because most of the time, the fraud department would probably ignore it because fake loans tend to be not that big and the victims don't really know what to do when they become the victims of this fake loans. The others you've mentioned, a competent team of accountants and fraud investigators would be enough to quash these operations. Another one that you should mention which would've been my choice as the most dangerous is probably the stealing of the identity entirely to commit more heinous crimes besides the obvious financial crimes.
395  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do You Trust RNGs (Random Number Generators) in Casinos? on: September 26, 2023, 11:02:11 AM
if you don't trust a platform then it's like throwing away your money, gambling is a game of luck but at least there is a chance to win even if the chances are slim, I would not sign up, deposit, and play or trade in a platform that I don't trust, and the game provider will have a bad reputation in the community if it's exposed as rigged.
Exactly, if you feel that the casino is already is sketchy at first glance, why would you still put your money in it in hopes that you can win something, there's a reason why the buildings of casinos in Vegas are awesome and that they're all breathtaking, they want you to have a good first impression on their casino and the same with online casinos, you will do the same. When it comes to RNG though, I think that it's relative to how established the casino is or how trustworthy they are at first glance, I think that you have no choice but to trust that it's not rigged.

You don't really need to trust RNG, it's still a game of chance and no matter what you do it's always going to favor the house and we all know that the casino owners don't want a fair RNG or even a player favoring RNG, that's bad for the business, they just know where to put the numbers so you can still have a small chance of winning, like a tiny hole in a vast concrete prison to let a little light in.
396  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [WARNING] Crypto casino scam on teh move again. on: September 26, 2023, 09:58:42 AM
Not really a new trick but given that it's not used by a lot of crypto scammers, it seems new to many. This is just one of the many ways that a social engineering scam looks like, people are emotional and the scammers know that with enough sympathy, you will let your guard down and that you're going to listen to what they're asking. Gladly I wasn't contacted by any of these scammers yet, I'm not scared too much about the losing money part, what scares me is the KYC part because they're going to steal your identity and you have no way of knowing what they're going to do with the stolen identity from their false KYC.
397  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are successful gamblers seen as addicts? on: September 26, 2023, 06:41:42 AM
An addiction should have a negative impact in your life, if these professional gamblers are living their bsst lives gambling and their habits not really being a problem for them that it interferes with their life outside gambling, I think that we can just that they're not addicts but in a metaphorical perspective, they're an addict because they can't let go of their habit that is gambling which is a vice. So to answer the question, it depends on who you're asking. Also we have to remember that most professional gamblers play Blackjack or Poker and not those slots where the edge is heavily house favored.
398  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [POLL] Using AI to predict outcomes on: September 26, 2023, 04:56:50 AM
The current ChatGPT version only has 2022 data iirc so you're better off using Bard AI if you want to test out an AI's prediction on sports, Bard's still in experimental stage so tread lightly when you plan to use it for real. Regarding the morality of using AI for sportsbetting I think that it's not a bad idea to use them especially if it helps you put in perspective on the teams you want to bet on but using AI to bet blindly, I think it's stupid.
399  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best Practices for Staying Safe When Gambling on: September 26, 2023, 03:53:57 AM
I always agree and currently doing of setting loss limit in every game/session i'm on. As well as on win limit. Soon i reached one of these two, i stopped playing and end that session then will do it later on again, the same strategy and decision.

Also the 2fa, if i remember correctly no casinos as of today are requiring 2fa as mandatory. It should be an add-on feature to required all its users soon as they go their first deposit for security purposes
Much as this is a good idea to do, I don't do this when I gamble. That's because I know myself, and when I do something that I genuinely enjoy and that there's money to make out of it, I will simply just get obsessed over it to the point that I would probably do something shitty and I don't want to find out what that shitty thing is, that's why I only gamble when I know I don't have any other disposable money to replenish my gambling money.
