381  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Leaving Bitcoin as inheritance on: May 02, 2020, 08:13:20 AM
Leaving Bitcoin as inheritance process is more harder than leaving physical properties or fiat as inheritance. Many method has been suggested under this thread and I'll suggest the private keys should be printed and included in will. Or get an hardware wallet, keep it in a secret place like a small vault including the details, then include the hints in your will.
382  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Scammers are increasing on: May 02, 2020, 06:57:43 AM
...Since the price is increasing, such scam method will also increase. ..

I do not associate the increase in the price of bitcoin with the number of scammers. There are already too many scammers in the crypto world. I meet such scams almost every day and most of all scammers use a Ponzi scheme. This is because it is very easy to register a new site and place a template with a similar scheme there. And then just wait for someone to click on the ad and place their Deposit there.
Trust me, when price increase there will be a lot of new scammers + new scam method to scam the new investors mainly because newbie has lack of knowledge. At a bull market, scammers get very active.

I'll partially agree with point "new scam method to scam new investors" but won't agree to where you wrote "price increase there will be a lot of new scammers. No one knows or have statistics or proof about numbers or scammers during bull or bear season. It better to say they improvise every season making it look like new set of scammers. You can't tell who is who from these scammers
383  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What does mean "halving" actually? on: May 01, 2020, 03:34:13 PM
The answer can be easily found on google and also Coinmarketcap has and info tab about that too.
To make it simplified it's like you work in a certain company and you get a normal salary and with the event called halving they will make your salary 50% less than what you get before the halving and this will continue every four years.

Bitcoin halving can't be compared with salary because it's a crypto mining reward and price always to increase and circulation too.
As a miner, you get rewarded based of your contribution(mining power) in a mining pool. The more your mining power, the more your reward.
Reason why it can't be really compared with salary.

My last post was July 2017, in October it switched to all Cyrillic? posts I think, but yeah, it could have been anyone, I stupidly reused a password that is now on haveibeenpwnd It's not a huge deal, just wanted to buy a Casascius on the Collectibles board, and figured a 0 post account would not look as believable as my old one.

Not sure if I posted any addresses, I usually try to avoid doing that just as basic OPSEC, but I'll dig through all the old messages, it's an excellent idea I should of thought of it, thanks!

My apologies for not posting on Meta, I realised as soon as I posted, and tried to ask for someone to move it there, but was foiled by the new account post timing limits. A tiny bit ironic I think.

You should take action now by signing a message from the address here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1574127.msg15807155#msg15807155

385  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you prefer to invest token or coin? on: May 01, 2020, 11:05:23 AM
Coins are much more better in my because it not like other projects that have their coins other coin's blockchain. Coins can be mined but tokens can't be. Coin's blockchain can be programmed to how you want. It also attracts investors and also tends to boost price during migration from token to their own blockchain.
386  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: MY BLOCKCHAIN WALLET WAS STOLEN 0.39070099 BTC !!! on: April 30, 2020, 12:20:26 PM
There's nothing you can do here than just stop using the wallet because either your computer has some sort of spyware on it or someone got your keys. You have to store your BTC in a more secure wallet like Electrum or Hardware wallet like Ledger Nano S. Just don't try and use same PC because you're not sure of how the hack happened yet.

Banks and government will do anything to either not let cryptocurrency win or take over some crypto projects. But I don't see fiats going away any time soon. There won't be gains for government to do whatever they like in the Blockchain, No printing of supplies
389  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Free BTC Mining Sites on: April 28, 2020, 08:03:28 PM
Put BTC as a replacement for fiat, do you get fiat money you spend without working for them? The answer is NO. So there's no website that would want to be mine coins for its user for free because they will also have to pay pay fees like electricity and some other maintenance. Mining site like miner gate had to stop their mobile mining because no profit from it.
390  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: best way to make btc? on: April 28, 2020, 07:26:22 PM
BTC is a currency but cryptocurrency and you should see it from the perspective of real world currency. So if you want to make more money or earn free money, you know what to do.
To make more BTC, you could start accepting BTC in your business but if you are looking to earn some free BTC, you shouldn't stick to faucets because it takes long to meet their minimum withdrawal and claim amount is mostly shitty. You can join airdrops or bounties or signature campaigns that pays in BTC if your account rank is around the Full Member rank
391  Other / Off-topic / Re: ONLINE PRIVACY TOOLS + ADBLOCKERS on: April 28, 2020, 05:51:46 PM
I get that getting advertisements in your social media is annoying but when it comes to advertisements in which a creator will benefit, I do not use adblock because I believe that you can support them no matter how small is a big help to create more and improved content. When it comes to social media, I do not go that much to my social media account because I prefer personal interactions so I do not have that much animosity towards advertisements in social media but I still use this applications for that, plus I do not put all of my information in my social media account so there isn't that much that needed protection to my data online when there is little or nothing to protect.

I guess you've never come across some site that sets ad banner to cover large part of the screen or sites that always redirect you automatically to another webpage especially download sites. I know it isn't bad to support the creator but adblock comes in handy whenever we want to visit website with junk ads.
392  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Never give up on: April 28, 2020, 05:21:06 PM
As a bounty hunter always expect failures sometimes

1. Just because a golden year occurred in the past doesn't mean we will witness such again, yes it's possible but better adapt to present condition.

2. Promoting two to three projects and waiting for your payment doesn't make sense, as a bounty Hunter the sky should be your limit, since we can't tell which project will pay or not I suggest continues hunting.

3. Listed bounties may not pay, it's still same risks as bounty projects that aren't listed on exchange yet, rewards may vary but who am I to tell? I'm not a great seer am I?

1. There's should be hope that better projects could surface again. We shouldn't compare past years results.
2. About this, you should also have it at the back of your mind that not all projects are worth promoting. Some comes with shitty allocation, some are just there to gain awareness through bounty and scam investors
3. Listed bounty with a good allocation is still ok and payout could be predicted unlike the ones with zero value that are yet to enter an exchange
393  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [WARNING]Double Bitcoin - https://zedon.ltd/ on: April 28, 2020, 01:08:45 PM
Nice job OP for this burst. This is clearly a scam and mostly, newbies are the ones that falls into their trap. It clear that it's just a cheap website that can't handle much visitors. Newbies should be aware that any website that promises mouthwatering returns within a short period are mostly scam. They pretend to be good at the beginning and then run off after receiving huge deposit.
394  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why trading stablecoins is the most underrated way of making serious money on: April 28, 2020, 02:28:54 AM
5-10% per month from stablecoin? I have no idea how it will be possible but I am pretty sure that I have barely seen stable coin to changed above 2% and most of the times it does not change. How can you make profit? Will it be enough to cover the exchange fee, withdraw fee etc?
Seems the pharmacist is correct, you are trying to prpmote some shit exchange.

I've always thought of this since the value always fluctuates with just little difference but what is needed here is huge capital like thousands of dollars and if that would give good return, then it will definitely cover the fees you mentioned. This method won't work well with a 100$ because withdrawal fees will take around 20-30% of profit
395  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Beware of lying project team on: April 27, 2020, 08:56:33 PM
Big exchange like Binance and others always have in their agreement an NDA(Non-Disclosure Agreement), meaning they most not post about the listing except it's confirmed. Most projects that lies about big listing always end up disappointing their investors.
I think the reason for this is to not cause pump and dump because their will be a lot of tokens purchase at low price and dump.

I also created a very similar thread like yours here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5201482 but it doesn't matter that you created yours because privacy is important.
You've recommended some great privacy tools and also adblockers here but I'll go with Blockada. It works for all app and with a lot of features.
397  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Buying btc from a forum member on: April 26, 2020, 05:48:18 PM
One could get a positive trust if a DT decides to add you to their trust list or decides to write a positive feedback. This doesn't mean the person is forever trusted. Change could happen that's why you need to always check previous trade history of the person you're dealing and if you aren't sure of who you're with, you can use one of the trusted escrow on the forum.
398  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Wallet advice? on: April 26, 2020, 09:03:27 AM
I was keeping my funds on Coinbase, but have switched to Exodus desktop wallet. Its free and is very user friendly and easy. Save your info on a piece of paper somewhere safe.

@OP if you are trying to look for the wallet that is suitable for your needs it is better to go to the application or wallet platform that is already trusted and gained a lot of reputation into the world of cryptocutrency. In my opinion, most of the time I prefer for the use of the coinbase, from the previous months I used this kind of wallet it helps me a lot of times in trading and investment because this is one of the most secured platforms for me. Coinbase has an application that always notifies their users about the updated market price, an increase of their price and the percentage also coinbase has a good market cap than the others so I prefer to use this but they do not have the candlesticks on their graphs and for me, it is quite hard to know the open and close of the markets.

For someone setting up a mining farm, which would be a lot a of investment and incoming transactions, using coinbase isn't safe because it's an online wallet here and they have a lot of con which includes not having access to private keys and lose of funds if there's an attack on their wallet provider's server.

I would advise getting an Hardware Wallet like Ledger and have it connected to Electrum or Mycellium Wallet.
399  Economy / Economics / Re: Rookie thing. on: April 25, 2020, 06:43:18 PM
Let's take Bitcoin as current currency we are spending for instance, a manufacturer could place a price of X BTC, other altcoins would also have their exchange rate with BTC just like fiat.
It's somehow crazy to explain because we know USD is pegged to almost nothing and could be printed but with crypto being our main currency, there will be a limited supply.
400  Economy / Economics / Re: Internet would become the most expensive commodity in the world. on: April 25, 2020, 12:52:49 PM
Yeah and presently, the internet is leading, though the promised freebies won't come any time soon.

People that now neglect the internet are now seeking for what to do to make money on internet since the beginning of this pandemic which is very sad. Crude oil price which used to very expensive is now depreciating and investors are at loss. Investors in internet service like the social media, video streaming platform and the likes are cashing out big time because people are spending more time on the internet these days.
