41  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BTG REDEEM (bitcoin gold) - STEP BY STEP (quick and dirty) on: November 18, 2017, 04:52:41 AM
Thanks for the guide.

Personalyl used coinomi to import my private keys and everything worked fine. Pretty much got my coins in my wallet and it was an easy process, would recommend others who have not done so already do it as well.

It's pretty much a free $150 at least per bitcoin you hold, if you don't claim it now then i think value may go down in future.
42  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: NEO Is Going Crackers. What Will Be The Announcement In 3 Days ! on: November 18, 2017, 04:08:50 AM
Its all over twitter and there is talk on forums about this big announcement that is happening in 3 days.
NEO is up 40% already. Can It carry on like this ? or will it dump ?

WTF can this announcement be to get every one all hyped up ?  Huh Huh Huh Shocked Grin Cheesy

I think we may see one last push before the dump.

Every time some news or rumour comes out people hype way too much and they basically lose their cool and buy with all their funds in hopes of getting a return from their investments. Sooner or later, they will have to take their profits out of NEO.

When this happens, i do not know. And it actually depends a lot on what this announcement is going to be about.
43  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Trading experts, what are your toughts on Burst? on: November 18, 2017, 04:01:01 AM
If you want to stockpile Burst then do so now or wait a bit when the price is 50-60 sats. Ever since that big pump that brought price up like crazy there has virtually been no upwards movement and it's pretty much due right now.

I'm not sure if their dev team is the best or whatever, i haven't seen it much. But i've seen some channels on youtube heavily endorsing it(such as adam guerbuez).

I would actually go with SC or even LBC than burst tbh. Just feels like burst's volume is just way too small.
44  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: LUXCoin The new and better DASH? on: November 18, 2017, 03:57:39 AM
alot of similar DASH based coins. Roll Eyes

what will make this one succeed?

Yeah exactly. I don't think that any of the coins that are similar to DASH that basically just alters a few parametres will succeed on a large scale at least. The fact is that everyone knows that the OG masternode crypto is DASH, and they're probably going to stick to it.

Especially when this coin is only traded on cryptopia, a shady and small exchange.

I don't think it'll rival dash any time soon.
45  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: IOTA is the next big thing on: November 18, 2017, 03:55:14 AM
Exactly, the market cap of IOTA is no.7 again, every time it dropped it can revive very soon.

Yep and currently it seems like that there is a ton of support at 0.0001. So there is pretty much no chance that even if the coin gets dumped by profit takers that the coin is going to stay below 0.0001 btc for long at all.

As soon as it goes under 0.0001, there will be people to take in cheap IOTA.

Dev team isn't really doing a whole lot of advertising so that is why there has been virtually no hype on this project.
46  Economy / Reputation / Re: Dolphin123 Send phishing link on: November 18, 2017, 03:51:25 AM
Never click on @Dolphin123's link. This scammer will send you a message saying he replied to one of your post with a bitcointalk link. If you click that link, you gonna get redirected on other website where you will need to login to "your BCT" account. Of course, he will get your informations.

Here is some information about this bitch.

Was it something along the lines of Hi, x, i've replied to you, and then with a link to myrippleaddress which is actually a phishing site of bitcointalk? If yes then you're definitely not the only one that is receiving this.

If you receive a PM from a stranger, don't easily trust that their URLs are legit. Especially when all of a sudden you see an exact same site as bitcointalk, except asking you to enter your password in again.
47  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Whats so special about IOTA? on: November 17, 2017, 10:15:03 PM
I am a bit late to this altcoin train. But heard a lot about IOTA, NEO etc having great potential. Whats so special about these coins? And which one would be a better option for long tern holding?

In my opinion if IOTA's team does their project right they actually have a lot more potential than NEO. They offer free transactions and that is something that is rare to see in a time where bitcoin transactions are easily charging $5 or more.

Also, they may be implementing smart contracts and anonymous transactions in the future.

All of this means potential, but they have to get it right first.
48  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is this a scam on: November 17, 2017, 09:52:16 PM
On cryptocompare.com, I found the Avesta ICO - it looks nice, but coinanalysis.io says they're a scammer.

is that true?

Edit: Forgot the link http://coinanalysis.io/avesta/

They're right about their promises being way too much. I'm not sure how they will manage to release their product in 2018 when all they've got is essentially empty promises that you have to trust if you're an investor and some screenshots.

I haven't looked into this in depth, so i can't say for sure that it's definitely a scam.

But i would stay away. The idea isn't even that good.
49  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BCH price on: November 17, 2017, 09:43:41 PM
why BCH price down fast after break many numbers Huh

why it rise again after back to 800$ Huh

It was a bubble. Every single bubble will pop eventually one way or another. With BCH it rose by 150-200% in one day, something that is definitely not going to be a sustainable level for the long term. So the dump essentially took the price down to around the starting level.

Now that it is significantly cheaper than when it was at its ATH, if you believe in BCH's future you could buy at a much better rate.

But for me, i don't believe in BCH. So it's up to you.
50  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BITCOIN CASH IS ONLY A BUBBLE? on: November 17, 2017, 09:37:45 PM
Hi i want to know if the bitcoin cash is only a bubble? Because if you see the bitcoin cash is increasing rapidly while the bitcoin is dunping and dumping so what is your idea about that ? Smiley

IMO definitely a bubble that has popped.

However right now we're seeing a second round of pumps, with today BCH prices going up by 10-15% arleady. Could really see it break $1300-1400 levels once again or perhaps even set an all time high. But personally, i don't see a future for this coin.

If you ask most people on tho forum here, most do not support BCH. Community support is quite low with BCH.
51  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Privacy getting important: Verge or Spectrecoin or DeepOnion?? on: November 17, 2017, 09:22:18 PM
I feel that in the coming years privacy coins will become more important. One of the features of cryptocurrency should be anonymous money transfers, at least this feature should lure many customers.
Look at the Muslim world and its completely private Hawala money transfer system.
1.3 billion people use the Hawala system.
So I am down to three privacy coins to eventually invest into on of those:

Verge, Deeponion and Spectre.

Could you give me an educated opinion which of the three has the best chances to rise, maybe not to the moon but tenfold would be nice. That is of course if customers should decide to make privacy an important feature when buying a coin.

I'm not sure why you think that these coins are going to be the future of anonymous transfers.

In my opinion, this field is led by Monero full stop. ZCash coming in as second and Dash third. PIVX is basically Dash. Deeponion is shady af and potentially a scam. Verge, never did reserach so can't say anything but market cap is low. Spectre, never heard of it till a week or two ago.

Stick to Monero, it has the greatest chance of being the succeeding force in anonymous txs.
52  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Are altcoins dead? on: November 17, 2017, 09:18:26 PM
The 2x fork is over and not a drop of money has come in to altcoins, the market is dead.

Incorrect. Dash and XMR got pumped to the moon but now we're seeing the dump. Just normal market activity here and nothing to worry about. Other altcoins are just resting and pretty much going sideways, this is a great signal to buy.

Altcoin markets are definitely not dead. It's just that bitcoin is attracting a lot more atetntion right now.

When BTC stops pumping like today, altcoins will go up.
53  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BTC UP NEO IS DOWN on: November 17, 2017, 09:07:57 PM
what are you thinking neo coin future. now is volume down next week is how neo?

It wasn't just NEO.

Altcoins in general were down when bitcoin went up, it's just how it is. There is a certain amount of people that know altcoins and bitcoins, and when the focus gets transferred to bitcoin, altcoin prices drop as a result.

NEO is a good project in my opinion, and with the "free interest" that comes in GAS i wouldn't be surprised if it blew through 0.01 one day.
54  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Read This Before Joining Any Shit Token Air Drops on: November 16, 2017, 10:03:09 AM
Alright I read what the OP has to say. I think its pretty good but some people might get some misconceptions about what this is about especially those of you doing altcoin bounties here for the purpose of altcoin payments.

Most of the coins the OP has listed here are being promoted on twitter, facebook and all other blogging sites as well. Now the basis of this is to garner a crowd who is interested in this project. Even though the project does not even have a legitimate team or a goal or any milestone to cover.

Next these so called "devs of the project" pay every promoter with the tokens (read shitcoins) which are trade-able on some decentralized exchange (again a red flag) and then the pump and dump begins.

So end of the day we have another shitcoin that enters the market and gets added to coinmarketcap with a huge bunch of shitheads pumping the coin on every social media that you can think of.

What I would like to emphasize here is that there are many altcoins which are having a legit team and a goal in mind with a group of devs who are actively working on the project. Do no think that if you are doing some altcoin bounty that coin may end up as a shitcoin like above - it may or may not. You have do think about it yourself and decide whether you want to promote them or not.

Yes of course. You have to do your own due diligence on whatever you invest, and if you don't then you really are going to get scammed. If you enter an airdrop then do so with an email that you don't care if you get flooded with ICO spam, and don't put in anything.

If the coin/token is only traded on etherdelta and has nothing special about it, don't ever be the buyer.

The legit projects here are of course excluded, but then nobody will do spreadsheet airdrops for legit projects.
55  Economy / Goods / Re: Apple iPhone X 64GB - 0.13BTC on: November 16, 2017, 09:44:33 AM
Does this come with a cash purchased receipt?

Pricing is quite favourable, i mean. However i need to know whether or not you can ship to overseas and whether or not this is actually purchased legitimately since carded ones are always a worry(you know what i mean).

PM me please Smiley
56  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ripple: A long term investment or short term? on: November 16, 2017, 09:33:41 AM
I'm thinking of acquiring some ripple but i need to know if it's a short term investment or long term.
Coz i have been following the market trend and I've not seen a steady increase for the past few weeks.
So, is it for long term or short term?
Coz to me it seems the coin has some potential.

For me, i personally think that ripple isn't really going to be valued as much in the future than right now. It's barely in the top 5 coins right now even though previously at the peak of its pump, it has been #2 for a day.

It's more centralized than most coins out there, and i don't think that cryptos are moving into the direction of more centralization.

In fact probably the exact opposite. I would invest only if you see a short term opportunity.
57  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How many altcoins can the market sustain? on: November 16, 2017, 09:29:55 AM
the forward progress of technology and continued rise of globalization makes the concept of a decentralized cryptocurrency increasingly relevant. but how many altcoins serve a distinct and unique purpose? will altcoins become more numerous and specialized to fulfill specific purposes, or will they tend to merge in a more generalized fashion?

I feel like more and more altcoins will emerge as application specific projects, such as wallets, exchanges, casinos or even taxi hiring for example. But these projects will continue to be overshadowed by generalized projects, such as ETH, NEO, EOS, etc.

People like to hype about things and it's hard to hype about a niche that doesn't rake in much in the first place.

Overall though, we're going to see more niche market coins.
58  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Have 15 BTC worth of ALT coins, what would you do ? on: November 16, 2017, 09:08:01 AM
My best advice for you would be simply reducing your portfolio down to a core 8-10 coins that you focus on trading back and forth. And perhaps leave like 1-2 BTC for ICO investing or other misc. stuff that you want to do.

Having so many coins in a portfolio doesn't make any sense since you'd have to put all of them in an exchange, and it's pretty much impossible to monitor the movement of every single coin precisely at a single given time.

Also maybe get some more BTC, instead of having so much in only alts.
59  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why is IOTA's price still down? on: November 16, 2017, 09:02:52 AM
Now IOTA is over 76 cents per one coin, and it is showing its growth. Please, be patient, i think this altcoin will survive and it will increase in times. Maybe the next jump will be seen in winter, 2018. Some specialists in cryptocurrencies give a prognosis of $2,5 for 1 IOTA next year.

Yeah spot on analysis. I believe that IOTA should really be a top 5 coin but it's just been overlooked by so many investors simply because they do not see it being traded on bittrex, poloniex, etc. It is only traded on Bitfinex right now out of bittrex polo and bfx itself.

I'm not sure why other exchanges aren't willing to add IOTA, perhaps because they are afraid that IOTA is going to fail or something.

Once they do though, price should take a nice pump, and a much bigger one than right now.
60  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: TOP upcoming 4 ICOs per 16-11-2017 on: November 16, 2017, 08:59:40 AM
I thought that the Datum crowdsale was interesting, and it's already ongoing. Get in if you feel like the project that they're hosting and offering is interesting because the crowdsale's not really going to be sticking around for long.

Pundi X also seems promising.

In the end it's up to you to decide and what kind of risk you are willing to take on.
