April 24 Update.

No T1 delivered from Halong Mining Limited as of today.

Halong Mining also offered to deliver 640 units from factory on April 25th in late afternoon separate from the below issues. (late afternoon delivery means, ship-out be the following business day)

Halong Mining is insisting that we ship 1000 miners starting this Friday that performs anywhere from 0TH-16.2TH while majority are 13-14TH/s units.  They insists these were tested in-spec miners as advertised.  The below photo comes from QA system screenshot in China as of the 24th in the evening.

Yoshi requested Halong Mining to provide unit that meets the specification for the customers and waiting on reply.  Hopefully, this is just a factory and halong mining's miscommunications within their organization rather than the reality.

REPOST from other post...

PSA: If DragonMint T1 having problem with the hash PCB, please try updating to the newest firmware, if this does not work, then hash PCB will more than likely need to be replaced if you are an original purchaser.  http://ck.kolivas.org/temp/t1_20180421_081246.swu

Let me update this a bit more clear....

We have not received T1 for shipping out yet.  It is very disappointing, however, we had message from Halong Mining that it is looking good for later this week delivery.  Shipping for Myrig Customers are all prepared and ready to go as soon as units are delivered.  For all sales from Myrig.com do have +-10 days buffer on sales agreement just in case.  March, all T1 were sent out by end of March, except we did not receive shipment within china for mainland china customers, so that were missed. (B29/B52 included)

B29/B52 customers, initial group went out with a few days of delayed delivery to us but within +-10 zone, however, there were hiccup on other half where recall (stop ship order from Halong Mining) took place for firmware update and retesting of the unit and factory staffs and Halong staffs were at the warehouse working on the unit and some shipping labels were removed/lost from the already prepared package.  (had a slight dhl hiccup where they collected pallets of shipment but forgot 3 pallets behind...)

Halong's X1 and X2 wise, it is canceled and processing refund or substitute exchange based on what was offered from Halong Mining.  Please contact same email address where you received the purchase invoice from for refund/substitute request.  BTC is faster than wire (wink wink!)

If you have sales contract with shipping date expired, please contact us as soon as possible so we can fix the situation.

Regarding Repair/Replacement, We finally received a very small quantity of B29 and B52 and T1 for warranty exchange use.

Localized Warranty Exchange via Myrig.com is available in the following status

T1: USA, Spain, Russia, Ukraine (local exchange available for original Halongmining.com purchaser or Myrig.com customers)

B29 & B52: very small quantity of spare parts received and currently all located in Hong Kong only (received as of April 23)  These be allocated for localized exchange use by end of next week.

Innosilicon model miners, we were requested to provide their warranty services, however, delivery of parts and equipment is extremely delayed and very little service can be provided at the moment.  Dash and LTC miner may be repaired or replaced if under warranty while parts quantity last.  (If you are affected with defective Dash Miner with over heating problems, the repair can be performed at Myrig's local service centers around the world as long as you obtain authorization from InnoSilicon prior to being serviced. (serviced item will retain original manufacture's warranty duration after our service)

Bitmain product, we are good to go on all S9 models and T1 models as well as L3 & L3+.  D3 parts is limited and A3, parts are out of stock at the moment.

Limited PAID services for Bitfury related miner will be available in the near future to public customers.

Here is what the ip set button does:
Code:
1-5 second button press = send locator packet
5-15 second button press = full factory reset(this will also result in IP being reset to DHCP)
15-30 second button press = change IP mode between DHCP and static

When using the ip set button to set to static it should set the miner to the following IP settings:
Code:
IP address: 192.168.1.254
netmask: 255.255.255.0
gateway: 192.168.1.1
primary DNS: 8.8.8.8
secondary DNS: 114.114.114.114

*MYRIG STAFFS WILL NOT ASK YOUR PASSWORD or LOGIN INFORMATION TO ANY SERVICES (teamviewer may be an exception while providing a live support)  ALSO, crypto payment will not be asked via chat or messaging applications.

*There is no other MYRIG staffs on BitcoinTalk to reply under any other account at the moment.  Please DO NOT send any order information or payments to anyone claiming to be Myrig Representative via PM on this forum.  *This account is the only official communication account*

B29 and B52 and T1 are shipping, however, Holiday was in the way that caused a few days of delivery delay due to the logistical issues of dealing with the Customs agencies and transport companies.

Phil's unit wise, it will be on the way, but as it was offered, after first batch are out, late March into Early April.  some of the early buyer's unit are still in transit, hopefully everyone will have the T1 by Friday, or reach your country by Friday.

We will look into preparing unit for Phil but shipping already paid customers are priority than try to prove our existence at the moment.  All resource is pointed to shipping out BTC, SIA and Decred miner at the moment.
44  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: DragonMint 16TH/S halongmining.com on: March 21, 2018, 06:00:55 AM
Thank you CK!  Yes, it will be released under GPL request, however, it is still being prepared for that.  A bit more final step announcements are being prepared by Halong Mining and once that is officially out, then you get to see the naked dragon's underbelly.

and phil, please email your shipping info to usual email or leave it in PM please.

Has Halong released their version of cgminer that supports overt asicboost? I'm curious to see how the finding the colliding work items has been implemented.
Not yet, no. They'll have 30 days from delivering hardware to release their software under the terms of the GPL (provided someone asks for the code who has the hardware.) If they don't release it after that time, I will myself anyway since I've been working on their driver for the last 2 weeks.

More News coming once all necessary steps are taken!  Stay tuned and Happy Hashing!

Getting more and more request to list lower value than it was paid for, our answer to this is "NO" Commercial Invoice will have the price each customer actually paid for and no we CAN NOT list lower value to help you lower your import duty or fees.  I'm sorry for being so BLUNT on this but this is what it is.

DragonMint Bitcoin miners have AsicBoost inside!

Understand this is overt asicboost protected by the open defensive patent license meaning anyone can use it, and is not harmful to the network unlike covert. Ckpool and slush have support for this as it requires explicit poolside support, new stratum extensions, and cgminer needs to be modified to work with it.

46  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: ANTMINER S7/S9 Boards - Who repairs them !!! Surely someone does ??? on: January 14, 2018, 06:14:12 PM
If we charged you 2x on the same hash PCB, please let us know the Order Number (invoice number) I will escalate this to get you the refund for the 2nd time payment.

I sent my bad S9 board only to Bitmainwarranty and they fixed it. I did not have to send the whole miner. I just looked on the website and they show you how to pack the boards

https://bitmainwarranty.com/how-to-prepare-item-for-sending-to-bitmainwarranty/

(They charged me I think like $175 total and after a week the board went out again. Sent it back in and got charged another $125 I think and it’s worked great since.)
47  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Problem with antminer s7 on: May 25, 2017, 03:42:14 AM
It is overclocked.  more than likely your ASIC chips and PCB are damaged.  Not much you can do at this point other than sending the PCB for repair or seek replacement.

Hi I began mining with an antminer s7 a few months ago, when I started everything went great but as time went by the antminer started to lose mining power and mi hash rate lowered I'm a beginner and I really don't know how to solve problems, but I think it has to do with the asic I'll post some screenshot, I hope someone can help me fix it

This is how it was before even there it was working at 2/3 of his capacity

And this is now I'm only getting 1.5 TH

48  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain's Released Antminer S9, World's First 16nm Miner Ready to Order on: May 25, 2017, 03:35:57 AM
unfortunately there is fit for all answer.  T9 and S9 there are pro and cons and home vs garage, there are pro and cons.

Buy used there is pro and cons.  it is all up to your specific setup.  Best try a few and see how it work for you and go from there.

"Should I buy 10 of these or 10 or the T9. Planning on building my first farm. Want to start it in my house and once I figured it out and it generates enough cash flow to rent a place out for it and scale it up."

Serious question I am thinking about investing some money into these and want to try to a little mining side business and expand it after they pay themselves off.
Well, if you're wanting to generate cash flow, then you don't want to start 10 "in you house" nor do you want to buy 10 T9s that use 3,388.2W more to produce the same hashrate as 10 S9s.

I figure I will start off with 3 in my house off a 240v and if it runs smoothly quickly get 7 more or so and rent out a place or find a garage to put them in with the right electrical setup and create some shelves and design some cooling methods to pipe out the air. I think it would be smart for me to run a few and get the hang of it before I buy all 10 maybe I just buy 1 then if I understand it but 9 or 10 more? I was really big into mining back in 2011 with my computer and gpu when that was first a thing but stopped after it was no longer feasible. I have come a long way from losing 100s of coins in a dead hard drive years ago (was like 500$ it was the $5 bubble haha) but there is no reason to be salty about losses and what not. I always was a believer and I now with the coin value so high I figure why not spend 10 coins or so and do what I loved when I first got into it.

Would you have any recommendations for the t9's or any reason I should not buy them? Do I buy new or used? There is so much info out there lately and I feel I can't read it all and asking questions is the quicker and faster approach
49  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: S7 miner one board hotter than the others, why? on: May 25, 2017, 03:32:24 AM
There is no thermal paste in S7....

The thermal paste can go bad too, check that last by removing heatsink & cleaning & reapplying with the correct paste, ask around about what paste is recommended  Wink
50  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: S7 miner one board hotter than the others, why? on: May 25, 2017, 12:38:36 AM
if you see heavy dust, probably that be the cause.

replacement wise, depends on where you are located, may be cheaper to just buy a replacement PCB.  or other units.  PCB version or model needs to match as there are several versions of S7 exist

I can't move the S7 to another room but I can power down the S5 for a trial period. So I will do that first. As for the fans I just checked and they are running at 4500 rpm or so.

I have seen a lot of dust on the fans so I imagine there's dust on the inside. I saw a few videos on how to clean the S7 so I will take that up once the S5 power down test is complete.

As for repairs it's too costly for me to send it for repairs. Are all boards on an s7 the same? this way I could just get a new-er board and keep as spare.
51  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: S7 miner one board hotter than the others, why? on: May 24, 2017, 09:54:53 PM
possibility that S5 is influencing the higher temperature but to rule that out, you can move S7 into another air conditioned room and power it up and check the temperature.

If in colder air conditioned room and 1 pcb is showing still hotter temperature, then, time to open the unit and see if cleaning be needed.  We have seen many units with temperature problem had everything you can think of collected and saved on the hash PCB and inside the S7 case.

dust, human hair, animal hair, hairball, candy wrappers, parts of vermine, insects.  So dust off may help if that is the case.

If dust off and in the cold room and the temperature will not be resolved, then please check the intake fan, if it is spinning at at least 3600 RPM.

if none of those solves the problem... then you probably have some chips or components that are degraded but still function.  At this stage, not sure if its cheap enough to repair or seek used S7 and replace the parts or let it go

Repair on S7 pcb can cost from $35-$85 range some are less and some are more.

about a month ago I got a used S7 that has run ok for now. However i've had to reboot a couple of times and I suspect it's because it went over 80C and stopped.

I check the board temperatures and one is running at 70-71C while the other two boards are running at 62-63C. Could this be an indication the miner needs a dustoff ? I'm running it next to an S5 (about 4 inches apart) so my other thought is that maybe the S5 is generating heat that is conducting to the S7 board closest to it. The S5 boards are running at 56-65C.

Thank you for any help you can provide.

@Boomin1

BitmainWarranty is now MyRig.com  It is in a transition stage and it is a separate entity and business.  While you receive repair service from MyRig, you will receive the comp mining as OPT-IN service to reduce the mining loss for you.

I have to say - Bitmain is doing big things now.  I am sure the attitude changed when bitcoin jumped.  However, I just spoke with bitmainwarranty.  They sent me a free shipping label (because of recent repair to same machine)  they also activated my Virtual 8.7 TH on myrig.com   This is a huge change to the norm when working with Bitmain.  I would like to PERSONALLY thank them and let it be known that they are doing the right thing by taking better care of their customers.

The reason this is a new account is because my account was hacked!  I was Boomin now I am Boomin1 - I know everyone is skeptical of praise to anyone or any company.

53  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: First mining rig qestion on: May 22, 2017, 08:11:41 PM
You might want to post this question else where as this is BTC side of the forum but answer be please use at least 1200W, if possible, 1300W good psu such as 80Plus Gold or Platinum.  Slightly more expensive than alternate PSU option but you will not regret it

Im going to build my first mining rig but i have some qestion about my setup ;
MOBO : MSI Z1 70A GAMING PRO CARBON or MSI Z270 GAMING PLUS ? the Z270 is newer and cheaper 30$ but only 6 gpu and couldnt find any mining opinion about it
CPU : Intel Celeron G3900
RAM : Kingston HyperX FURY 4GB DDR4 2133MHz is 4gb enought ?
GPU : 3x SAPH IRE PULSE RX 570 + 1x GIGABYTE  RX 470 from my PC ( after few months and first payout will buy 2 more RX570 and another PSU)
PSU : Corsair CS850M 850W is it enought for mobo, cpu and 4 gpu's ?

The biggest qestion is PSU enought for 4x GPU ?

Im going to mine eth

thanks for all help
54  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: 110V power supply for Antminer S9? on: May 22, 2017, 07:59:25 PM
Safe approach at the moment be EVGA1600 it is $399 or so price and it is expensive, but it does work on 100-125V to power up S9.

Hey,

I just realized it needs 240V, in my country we only have 110-120V. Was wondering if there's any power supply with that voltage, or a 100-240V thing?

Or should I buy a converter? If yes, any recommendations or things I should look at?

I'm just starting the journey, any help is really appreciated.

55  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: S9 lowest rpm & temps on: May 20, 2017, 06:22:16 AM
You have a nice setup and stats looks good.

100W saving...  since you are using the 93% efficiency PSU, not much saving you can reach.  Fan running lower RPM since the average PCB temperature is lower, so that is a plus.

Hello again,

Its been 2 weeks now since I have been monitoring 24/7 my S9 antminer 12.5TH/S working and noted down the figures.

I use the bitmain`s latest APW3+-12-1600W PSU

They are both brand new. No bad chip issues.

I have placed my miner in a server rack cabinet 2 meters tall.

I have open the rack`s side(left-right) doors and it is in a controlled temperature small room around 4sq meters.

The room temperature varies from 19 Celsius to 21 with the help of an inverter wall air condition.

The humidity varies from 34% to 40%.

There are no windows in order to let fresh air in. only a closed entry door.

The 3 hashboards have all day the bellow temperatures:

BOARD1 81-83
BOARD2 75-77
BOARD3 73-75

The fans  rpm are:

FRONT fan from 2160min to 2520max(note that the front fan sucks really cold air from the air condition as they are 1-1,5 meter face to each other)
BACK fan from 2880min to 3120max(it exposes relatively medium warm air. I have monitored really warmer air figures with the back fan at 4320 rpm when I  used different positioning/setups of the equipment)

The watt consumption is steady 1313Watt / hour

and the 24hour hashrate(from the miner status page) is 12,644GH/S(avg).

I would like to ask from your experience if these figures are OK for my mine`s long life or if I am doing something REALLY wrong.

Bare in mind that I don`t want to "overclock-underclock" or change settings of the miner. I want to let work in AUTO with its own settings(I think my miner has by default auto settings for FANS, Frequencies etc as i saw in it`s menu).

Is there a way to decrease the watt consumption lets say 100watts/hour and still have the same average hashrate???

Sorry for the long post and for my English as they are not my native language but I will really need some feedback on this.

Thank you in advance miners

PREMIUM!

...If you break the hash PCB from own firmware version, we will be happy to repair your PCB for you!
...
Under warranty or at a premium?
57  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain's Released Antminer S9, World's First 16nm Miner Ready to Order on: May 19, 2017, 09:11:36 PM
@numnutz2009 & @ComputerGenie

Ouch Ouch Ouch!  lets not be like Core vs BU fight.  Lets be Happy Mining!!

If you break the hash PCB from own firmware version, we will be happy to repair your PCB for you!

...bitmain already gave us freq control....fan control is there as well you just have to compile the firmware yourself after altering the code to suite your needs...
That was the case long before you, or anyone else, even began to cry on here about them "taking it away". It's funny to watch you talk yourself in nonsensical circles.

Edit:
OK, so here's the real question:

Did this non-sourced, since you "cant read chinese[sic] so the name on the email is unknown", "engineer" tell you that Bitmain will break from it's long-standing policy and continue to uphold the warranty on any S9 that you "compile the firmware yourself after altering the code to suite[sic] your needs"?  Roll Eyes
58  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: R4 running at half speed, chip status looks strange. on: May 19, 2017, 02:45:54 AM
Thank you for the suggestions.  We will try our best to reach that point in service, hopefully one of these days, we will meet this request!

Most ask for lowest repair cost as possible as fast as possible.  Speed part, to reduce the frustration, we are implementing the comp mining option as OPT-IN for the customers.

@NotFuzzyWarm

the comp hashing needs, that system be a different account and requires 2FA

eventually, consolidate them but sorry for the mess in transition

at least how it will work, if you are shipping hash PCB for repair, please give us your feedback how the whole process can be improved to work with all level of miners.  (commercial, hobby, home miners, and etc...)

the piece of paper you insert in the box, please MARK, (BETA TESTER) in BOLD and techs will give you the discount on repair for you to give us feedback good or bad or nasty or troll... whatever it is.

Thank you

I already have an account with BitmainWarranty, does that registration automatically switch over to MyRig or do I have to re-register?
Also have a s9 board shipping out to you tomorrow.
The s9 board is already on it's way. I will leave a note on Zendesk to ask if it can be flagged as BETA TESTER.

No matter what I will do that when I send in the dead R4 board.

One thing I can ask for improving service: Tell us what was wrong/fixed! In the past the excuse for not doing it has always been that the tech report system is not setup to do that. Huh?

Whenever I do a repair be it in the field or in-house I create a detailed list of what was done. It is done both for the customer records and more importantly for my companies records so we can track failures/causes..

The tech report does not have to be detailed but at least list what was found and done to correct eg, 'bad PIC - reprogrammed' or 'no Vcore - replaced MOSFET', or whatever.
59  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: mining hardware in a rented rack in a datacenter ? on: May 18, 2017, 10:03:18 PM
traditional data center, please check with them first!  power consumption available per rack may able to handle only a few units.

If you need Mining Hardware hosting, we offer fully managed hosting service for Antminer and GPU

Antminer wise, while your ants are being hosted, repair can be free or heavily discounted and no need to ship out units for repair.  for brand new units, first 180 day factory warranty be honored on site via our support team

Hello,
I'm planning to buy some mining hardware from Bitmain to install it in a rented rack in a datacenter.

Anyone has done this ? Usually the datacenter companies accept a mining set up ? Or I shouldn't tell them ?

I know it varies from one datacenter to another, but anyone who can share his experience will be helpfull.

Thanks,
Mat
