Really, "cancelling federal loans" is just part of a socialist marketing ploy. It makes no sense without free college going forward. But the colleges have jacked their fees up in accordance with what's allowed in fees. Meanwhile the free market can compete by obsolescing traditional college entirely. 3/4 of a degree can be online, with canned lectures by the world's best professors, the other fraction in person. The entire cost of an under graduate degree program doesn't need to exceed a few thousand USD per year. |
