401  Other / Meta / Re: account status on: July 01, 2018, 12:12:16 PM
OP already created the same thread asking for account upgrade here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4514192.msg40639583#msg40639583 and already got some answers from other member. Is he/she still not satisfied with the answers? Check the link above, I'm a hundred percent certain that his/her question is answered.
402  Other / Meta / Re: Moving "Reputation" board from "Trading Discussion" to "Meta" on: July 01, 2018, 11:05:21 AM
What's so irritating about it OP?, I mean are you having some bad time looking for it or anything? What makes Reputation boeard irritate you? We may find it weird that "why it is in trading discussion section" but, I think Admin won't put that board over there without any reason. Maybe Invoking was right about what he said, he got some point there, but Steamtyme seems agreeing with you that's why your idea is not too bad as well.

There are times that we shouldn't judge something just because it looks like it doesn't belong to a particular place in short "out of place".

Even a farmer can board to a ship full of rich peoples Smiley
403  Other / Meta / Re: Merit Drying Up? on: July 01, 2018, 10:32:00 AM
That's a really important statement with which I totally concur. Instead of dividing the awards in between "Bad and good", we mentally can change and divide it into:
- NOt bad= 1 merit
- Good= 2
- Very good= 3
-Awesome= 5 or more.
As an example, of course.
This seems to be a good basis of distributing sMerits. I got some sMerits which will be enough to make a Jr. Member rank up to Member but I've been having some trouble looking for Quality posts from other members that's why I end up giving them to some of top Merited users around here. But seeing this, I think it's just fine to give users with a "Not bad" post ratings. The problem is, I'm also having trouble to find even post with a "Not bad" rating.

Yes. Some people have been acting like Merit Police recently.
Yeah, but almost over 80% of reported users who has been abusing Merits are proven guilty. The good news is, abusers are getting lesser lately.
Because a couple of months ago, Merit abusers used to send almost 50 sMerits to their alt account, friends etc to a post that doesn't deserve it but as we can see now, they are sending less sMerits, maybe it's because it's in order to keep their sMerits trading smooth and undetected.

Sometimes it's really unfair, those shitposters almost rank up receiving merits while their post are shitposts while there are some members who post good contents but can't even receive a piece of Merit.

I like it, but I always feel like I'm going to be questioned if I merit "not bad" posts. I already wonder what people might think about some of my Merit choices. I'm not sure if that's a rational fear though.
Some people will really question you for sure, it's because they're too judgemental. Meriting a "not bad" post is not too bad at all. It doesn't matter if they judge you or question you etc. What important is you gave a precious Merit to a poster you think that deserves it.

Over thousands of spam posts, there are still some good post hidden behind these garbages Smiley

~snip
Too bad for this guy. Even a "not bad" ratings won't fit any of your posts. But somehow you got about 40% over 100 to reach "not bad" rating. You need a lot of improvement and one thing, you should stop spamming in Megathreads, I have no reasons to wonder if your account get banned soon. Just saying. I and mdayonliner already warned you. Make some improvements buddy.
404  Other / Meta / Re: Multi account questions on: June 30, 2018, 07:03:30 AM
Your account were tagged because you attempted to buy a Hero account which is discouraged. Like what LoyceMobile said...
Red tags are for abuse. Having more than one account isn't the problem
Just let me add something, as long as you're using your account for good contributions in the forum, you account (including alt account) will remain safe from tags. But if you've done something that is prohibited both of your account will receive negative trust. You know why? Because the one who is untrustworthy is you as a owner, not your accounts, your accounts are just being used! In short if only DT members can only put red paint in your face they'll probably do it Smiley But because they can't, they simply paint it in your account as a symbol that its owner is untrusted.

See these two replies above me? They're also alt accounts and they don't have tags not because their owner are acknowledged, it is because although they're alts, they make good contributions.

I'm sorry for being exaggerated in that "paint in face" thing.
405  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Managers can stop asking for emails on Google form for bounty ? on: June 30, 2018, 06:29:00 AM
Doxx, Spam, Phishing, Impersonation; plenty of wrong.
I see, my bad, I never experienced such cases except Spam. But atleast spam messages won't take anything away from me. But I'm pissed-off with it, seriously, whenever I open internet then kaboom. They're all in my inbox.
I noticed on your profile that you don't have your e-mail public.
Yes, like almost everybody else do I hid it. It's also for my own safety. I said that giving away your email is not really bad for the first place but as long as there are people who wouldn't take advantage of it, the problem is, there are lot of people who will.
~snip
Well, hands up. I can't argue to a wise person Smiley
406  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Managers can stop asking for emails on Google form for bounty ? on: June 30, 2018, 05:57:25 AM
So why need to ask for email ? Is it necessary for get pay ? I don't think so.
Obviously, it's not necessary to get paid, but as a requirement, it will be.
Some bounties really requires email in order to participate and you were right, it is somehow risky to put your email that's why it is much better if you create "dummy email" and use it to these kind of bounties instead of using your main account. As far as I know, also based in my experienced, they ask for the email so that they can send notifications/updates about what's going on in their ICO. It's a little annoying when I've got a lot of notifications from these bounties (when I was a Newbie who loves joining bounties and Airdrops from telegram). You were also right that sometimes they sent spam mails.

Actually, we can't stop these bounty Managers to stop collecting emails, you can't just go to their bounty and tell them what to do. It's their strategy to use their participants's emails to send out activities from their ICO and it's up to their participants if they will risk their main email account, if they were a little bit wise they will create dummy emails.

There's nothing really wrong about giving away your email though.
407  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: [Filipino Guide] Ang Bitcointalk Merit System on: June 29, 2018, 07:29:59 AM
Another full of effort guide. I thank you for making such threads recently that helps out our fellow citizens. Translating this thread from English version (from different useful threads) to Tagalog is more similar to translating a whole announcement thread of an ICO to a desired language. The difference is people who translate ann threads are paid but looking at this thread, it is self volunteered. And what makes it easier for new members to understand is, it's also well summarised.

Almost all guides that a new member must know are already here in our local board section provided by theyoungmillionaire. Well explained and translated to our native language for better understanding. I admire your hard working. The only thing left is I hope our fellows read all of the thread you created including this one.

Keep up the good work theyoungmillionaire. Looking forward for more.
408  Other / Meta / Re: [FIXed?] Banned accounts can still send merit.Update. on: June 29, 2018, 07:17:20 AM
I also saw the guy (Lunarics which is now banned again for reasons that I don't know) blaming Flying Hellfish as he said that FH is responsible for banning his account, which is not totally right IMO. By the way, at the very ending moment of his account, he still managed to provide some test and proof if the "bug" is working, it will again take months before his account to be unbanned or it is now permanently banned, not sure.
Well, since the bug doesn't work (or it really doesn't work before). It's a relief that there will be no need to worry about it.
409  Economy / Services / Re: 💰💰 [FULL] NIBYX.COM Signature Campaign 💰💰 on: June 29, 2018, 06:25:27 AM
Hi Manager notaek, I would like to inform you that I'm leaving the campaign now. It's my pleasure to worked with you and to Nibyx for the first week of the campaign.

Thank you notaek and Nibyx.
410  Economy / Reputation / Re: aTriz account has most likely changed hands on: June 29, 2018, 05:42:51 AM
Finally, someone noticed it too. A few days ago I've been stalking aTriz posts history and I noticed that his posts suddenly changed. By looking at his recent posts after June 14, his posts became low quality. He is also posting in some Megathreads recently and continuesly posting in low quality topics/threads. I doubt that the user who is now using the account is the real aTriz. The account is now similar to other members who only post for their paid signature.
I have suspicions that the account was either sold or lend to someone else.
~snip
Actually, it doesn't matter if an account has Negative Trust, as long as it is a high ranked member someone stupid out there will still be willing to buy it.
These two are the first reason.
I believe that there are a few reasons for buying the account.

1) Rank
2) sMerit
411  Other / Meta / Re: Question Regarding Activity on: June 28, 2018, 03:55:48 PM
Well, better lock the thread or else you will lose it Smiley
412  Other / Meta / Re: [warning] Banned accounts can still send merit. on: June 28, 2018, 03:48:24 PM
Banned users can login, but there's a message specifying that they've been banned, and whether it has any time frame or if it's permanent. They can't post etc, but they can read the forum as normal whilst logged in AFAIK.
I see, all these time I thought it's unaccessible, well thanks for enlightening me. So then, if this "bug" were true, we should really conduct some test (or admin should) and fix it immediately before other banned members found out. This will be a serious misuse of Merit in case that this information spread out.

Will support your idea iansenko.
413  Other / Meta / Re: [warning] Banned accounts can still send merit. on: June 28, 2018, 03:36:29 PM
As far as I know banned accounts aren't accessible. How can they send Merits if the account is banned? Or I'm mistaken, a particular user still have access to a banned account? Which one is right?
414  Other / Meta / Re: Someone please merit these posts on: June 28, 2018, 02:58:00 PM
I hate to be a pest, but I think you merited the wrong post in the thread linked above.
This guy was right LoyceV, did you intentionally Merited LightZ's post or you accidentally Merited it instead of ImHash's post.
Seems like you accidentally Merited it because LightZ quoted ImHash's post and it somehow looks like the post is from ImHash. Not so sure though.

By the way, if I ran out of sMerits to give can I make a list posts that I think is Meritous too? So that you can have a review Smiley
415  Other / Meta / Re: Admins help restore my account on: June 28, 2018, 02:36:40 PM
Yes I have bought it from the owner of the account. The policy of a forum doesn't forbid to buy accounts on how I know.
Although you fully recovered your account, it will be tagged with Negative Trust as DT will not trust you because your account is bought. I read some discussions that buying account is not really prohibited but it is "discouraged"
18. Having multiple accounts and account sales are allowed, but account sales are discouraged.
Please refer to these discussions.
Is it allowed to buy someone's account?
Is buying/selling accounts against the rules?
should you advise me to buy bitcointalk account?
Is it allowed to sell Bitcointalk account?

These threads might help you understand about sold and bought accounts.
416  Other / Meta / Re: How does this account have an avatar? on: June 28, 2018, 02:26:51 AM
having multiple accounts is not against forum rules
but you can report to the campaign manager if they joined in one bounty campaign that prohibits multi accounts
and you can also expose them by posting here Known Alts of any-one - A User Generated List Mk III (2018 Q2)
I went through these two account's posts (AltT25 and Nafta012) and found out that they both joined with a same twitter bounty back in January, and also there are 3 transactions between their eth addresses. AltT25 sent about 0.733 ether to Nafta012 and further investigation, there are still another account involved.

unpack seems like he/she is not joining any bounty that's why it is vague that he is the owner of these two but the thing is, these two accounts used unpack's twitter for about several times. So, does it means he is involved too?

By the way, AltT25 and Nafta012 seems like haven't been active recently since April.

What do you think? Should I make report for this now?
417  Other / Meta / Re: recovery my account on: June 27, 2018, 03:23:29 PM
You might consider deleting the old bumps... A friendly bump for you. Good luck
#3, #6, #13.... #23 etc

Thank you. I sometimes delete old messages.
mdayonliner is not talking about old messages, he's referring about your bump post like these
Bump! Somebody help me
Bump! Somebody help me!  Huh Huh Huh
Whenever you post a new bump, you should delete the old ones, like these two that I quoted Smiley
Good luck recovering your account by the way.
418  Other / Meta / Re: [SUGGESTION] Minimum Merit Required for Signature Campaigns on: June 27, 2018, 03:13:40 PM
It's a good idea. But, lets tackle about the Quality and Quantity. First not all campaign managers usually in Bounties doesn't really care about the quality of posts. You can find multiple Bounties and campaigns in Altcoins section and they also accepts members who only do shitposts. Because as long as their ICO is being advertised in any way (even their participants are spamming) it's just fine by them.

Second, talking about the "quantity". If ever that all campaigns are requiring a minimum number of Merits for earch rank, the quantity of participants for campaign will decrease because there are only few  members (each rank) who have the amount of Merits required to join a particular campaign. How many campaigns including bounties do we have here in the forum? If all of them requires Merits before getting accepted, number of participants will really decrease but somehow, Managers can assure that posts from their participants will be expectedly "Good Quality posts".

But like what I said, quantity is the basis of some managers not the quality.

419  Economy / Reputation / Re: actmyname where are you :p on: June 27, 2018, 10:40:10 AM
Well, we will settle this thing again someday, when I think that I can really satisfy you.
Feedback's removed. This is far more improvement than most users I have seen.

Seems like it was for posting rampantly in megathreads, which although you don't seem to be doing anymore, there are a few posts in threads that seem like spammer haven material. They're usually characterized by having vague or general topic lines that can be easily responded-to solely through the subject. Most of the time, it's some common-sense garbage like "bitcoin price at the end of the month?"
Thank you so much actmyname Smiley I really do appreciate it.
I've leaned important things mostly about posting here in forum because of you. You've taught me great lesson and I appreciate it.
Don't worry act, I won't waste this chance to improve myself even more.

Thanks a lot, you won't realise how I feel to be this happy after reading your reply. Thank you once again actmyname Smiley
420  Economy / Reputation / Re: actmyname where are you :p on: June 27, 2018, 10:06:14 AM
Hmm. I see, so it's seems like I still don't satisfied you. In that bold part of my posts, I also noticed that I'm too "over acting".

There is far too much redundancy here for me to say that it's a quality post: you can chop away a good chunk. Brevity is the soul of wit.

Thanks, got it. I'll try it next time. I thought that it will somehow enlightened the OP, but you were right.

Well, I think that's all for today. I just wanted to know your opinions about my posts if I really improved but I guess I'm still lacking some improvements. Well, we will settle this thing again someday, when I think that I can really satisfy you.

By the way, thank you for reviewing my posts once again Smiley it's been a while.
Thanks for your time, sorry for bothering you. See you around actmyname Smiley
