Anyone remember when B2 starts shipping?
It was before the 20th, but it may be a day or 2 late since some b1 are late. I think I got one of the last b2s. Hours after I ordered they went to b3 and the lower price

Woot here is my S3 hashing away.... Stable at 454GH Look at the average, not the 5s to see a better gauge of your speed. That 5s one will fluctuate all over. You're at ~443 stable. 443 with no hardware errors. Only 18mins though. Anyone see what the /etc/config/asic-freq values are? Also, anyone able to verify what these are pulling from the wall?

Not sure what all the complaining about the shipping is about, Bitmain made it pretty clear back on the 14th with an update and true to their word my B1 order shows being delivered tomorrow and I have a coupon in my account. This is a lot better than several other companies have done in the past.
It is a lot better than other companies for sure. We know that Bitmain will come through. We are still complaining because even though we are B1, our orders haven't been shipped yet. They will probably be shipped today. s3 is selling like hot cakes but with alittle hot delay This was fun to watch the orders come in real time: https://blockchain.info/address/16mT7jrpkjnJBD7a3TM2awyxHub58H6r6ZThat's the address that they had bitpay sending orders. Most were for 1.5btc. I love the transparency of the blockchain (credit to Cevidad for originally posting it in the hashfast thread)

I received a reply from Bitmain a minute ago regarding their shipping procedures. They said they follow the "first to order, first to ship" method. I am hoping they'll be shipping today.
if not I'll be sure to call the Waaaaambulance for you.

I got my refund today.
Requested 19th May
Wire transfer? BTCCongrats. 2 month wait does suck though.

Anyone received their refund yet?
Doesn't look like it. Negative. I would expect them to process those after shipping b3 or wait until the coupon or refund choice time has ended. Mine still says Init.

So I need some help here peoples. I do fly in fly out work with a 3 week on roster. So im going to be away from home when the miners arrive. My girl is home but is absolutely computer illiterate. I have setup the power supply ready for when they arrive with labelling for which cables go where so she can just plug them in. But as far as setting it up goes would i be able to setup the miners remotely with teamviewer with another computer set up at home? Reading about the S1 seems the internet has to be disconnected and then connect the compter directly to the miner. Is this true with the s3 do you think? Does anyone have any ideas how I could set up the miners remotely? Thanks If you put two NIC's in your PC you can preconfigure one to talk to the miner (with crossover cable) and leave the other one to connect to your network. Then all she has to do initially is power the miner and plug it into the crossover cable. You can then remote in and configure it. If you set the IP as the last bit of configuration, she can then just change the ethernet cable to put it on your main network. Unfortunately I don't have another network card Does your computer have wifi and a hardwired NIC you can do the same thing suggested here? Does your Internet provider not have a 4-5 port switch you can plug the miners and the pc into? If the miners are like the S1s then they'll all have 192.168.1.99 as their address. Could you give us a little more info so we can help you out better? What's your network cabling situation - switch or no, ISP provides some sort of router with a switch or no, pc or mac, how many miners, etc? Mac network changes - http://www.macworld.com/article/2027960/configuring-your-macs-network-settings.htmlWindows - http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/change-tcp-ip-settings#1TC=windows-7Linux - if you had Linux you'd already have this sorted If you set static IP settings you'll want to use something like 192.168.1.20 with a netmask of 255.255.255.0. Default gateways are typically 192.168.1.1, but it depends on what the ISP router is set to. Anyway, get us some more info and we'll get you there unless this has already been answered

Apologies if this has been asked before, which option in your opinion is better?
Hash while you are waiting, Neptune or Titan ?
Thanks ....
none of the above - buy bitcoins, not KfC

Should I accept the 7.7% in fiat or btc? Which one should I choose?
you only get it in BTC - the app asks for your BTC wallet address for the refund.

bitmain's site has been updated with the coupon or refund app. It's located at the bottom under My Applications. You may have to log back in to see it. It basically just covers the S3 purchases:
//You have bought B1~B3 of S3. We will issue you a 10% value coupon. However, you have the option to give up the coupon and apply a 7.7% refund.//
Deciding what to do at the moment. Leaning towards refund.
EDIT: confirmed, it's only on your S3 orders. Went the refund route since I won't buy anymore until they're in stock.

Not to be OT.. But didanyone else recieve an email from " cs@bitmaintech.com" containing a .jar ? just texted: " Invoice no. 111258 bitmaintech " ive been getting a ton recently from random email addys first one i tried to open on my iphone but quickly realized it was a phishing scam so i closed everything down, now im just deleting them open forums are good places to harvest for scammers. You're being phished and the mail is most likely not from bitmain. .jar is a java archive that probably contains a trojan so they can harvest your account info and grab your coins. Their message headers are similar to this: From webmaster@bitmaintech.com Mon May 12 05:31:59 2014 X-Apparently-To: omitted_address@yahoo.com via 98.138.211.113; Mon, 12 May 2014 12:32:05 +0000 Return-Path: < webmaster@bitmaintech.com> X-YahooFilteredBulk: 209.85.220.48 Received-SPF: pass (domain of bitmaintech.com designates 209.85.220.48 as permitted sender)X-YMailISG: //cryptostuffs_omitted// X-Originating-IP: [209.85.220.48] Authentication-Results: mta1125.mail.bf1.yahoo.com from=bitmaintech.com; domainkeys=neutral (no sig); from=bitmaintech.com; dkim=neutral (no sig)If they signed their messages and published a DMARC reject policy their customers wouldn't get phished by scammers spoofing @bimaintech.com since most of the mail providers participate in DMARC. Way OT, but I see happen this too much.

Some thoughts on the maths of the 10% discount voucher:-
If a batch 1 order (pair of miners) was 1.50 BTc then the voucher will be worth 0.15 BTc
So a future order for Batch 4? will have a starting price of (pair of miners) 1.35 BTc
Deduct the market reduction Bitmain have been applying of at least(pair of miners) 0.05 BTc = 1.30 BTc maximum (copied from the Batch 3 price)
Then you arrive at 1.30 Btc less the voucher of 0.15 BTc
This puts a Batch4? (pair of miners) at a net cost of 1.15 BTc
By the time the backlog of orders are cleared, then another market reduction will be needed. (another 0.05 BTc)
By the 20th of this month we should expect to pay no more than 1.10 BTc for a pair of Batch4? miners.
Does anyone agree with my figures?
Odd dissecting the coupon/refund thing, but since I have no shipping info it suffices for an interesting puzzle. I think it's more generous than we have guessed: 1) 10.0% worth of coupon for the B1~B3 customers. This is the default option. (10% based on what you have paid for the B1~B3)2) 7.7% worth of refund. We will release a function on our official website for application of this option. If you have bought from our resellers, please contact them and provide your Bitcoin address. Say you've spend 10BTC on Bitmain gear s1-s3 total. - 10% = 1BTC worth of coupons. Probably spread out in various denominations 0.1, 0.15 btc coupons = @ 8-10 coupons on future s3 orders - 7.7% = 0.77BTC in cold, hard BTC That's my guess on it. I think your coupon guess of 0.15 is correct. It'd be tempting if they allow us to use more than 1 coupon considering it's min 2 order.

Doing the math on the compensation offer...
Assume you bought 2 S3s from Batch 1 .75 BTC x 2 = 1.5 BTC
A refund of 7.7% = .1155 BTC
A coupon for 10% off of your next purchase of 2 miners at the current purchase price of .725 BTC each = (.725 * 2)(.1)= .145 BTC
Net difference is .145 - .1155 = .0295 BTC, or about $18.29.
That's only getting a $9 per miner bonus on a future order, not knowing at this point how future batches will hash.
Perhaps the 10% off coupon will apply to an unlimited number of miners on your future order, in which case the coupon will be of greater value. Or maybe it won't have an expiration and you could use it when it becomes of maximum value. But to me, it seems like money in hand is the better option.
Money in hand is the smarter option, but I'm such a sucker for coupons. It was such a brilliant move on Bitmains part, though.

It's 12:42 in HK now. I bet they are playing Mahjong getting blitzed on Baijiu while looking at all those shiny S3s and saying "maņana, maņana."

This helps sanitize the thread and condense it some to relevant, intelligent discussion: "This user is currently ignored." Arguing with him is why this thread is over 1800 pages.

I can't wait to get the shipped mail from Bitmain. I so enjoy getting the new miners and Dorking out digging into them to see what they can do. I am excited to see how far we can OC these.
