How much of the 1% pre-mine will go to the General Fund of Noir Group?
402  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] RUBLE X15 POS - Anon - Proof of Stake on: September 22, 2014, 02:01:24 PM
what makes you people trust a dev for doing POD?  Cheesy nothing will stop a dev once he decides to abandon just an FYI.

My original thoughts on PoD are that it doesn't mean anything.  The more I think about it I have come to the following conclusion.  PoD isn't the end all and be all, but the majority of coins with a PoD aren't scams.  Have there been a few scams with PoD? Sure, but If you study the % of scams with PoD versus the % without PoD, the odds are clearly in our favor when a PoD is done.

Having said that, I care much more about PoD when a coin is funded by a large ICO or pre-mine.  Ruble doesn't have any of that so PoD is much less a concern in this case.

The DNS is taking longer than expected, but a link to the site is linked in the OP logo. For now until we decide if we will provide PoD or other public info about our company, we will be hosting it on a free/anonymous host.

So far we are on track to complete anonymous, but if there is a delay we will let you know tomorrow.

My man!

FWIW, the coins in the donation address are still intact. Undecided

13 pages in this thread and the dev still ignoring people about POD
you remind me of usecoin dev he was a scammer  Lips sealed

From what we have located on PoD, it is a service being provided that gives little to no protection to users. It would be easily circumvented. If we had premined or done a IPO, then you would likely be correct, but that is not the case here.

POD is needed if you want a community, if there is none, this coin already died without you doing anything to support your own.

PoD isn't needed if he follows the road map set forth and develops the coin. Development is better than any PoD.

It is needed if this coin wants people's trust, i'm ready to buy if POD is done.

Plus looking at the rich list? Wow, 1 person can control this coin easily.

One person can control most coins easily.  Most coins have a market cap in the hundreds of thousands.  In the real world that's not a super rich person.

Also, the only reason you don't trust this dev now is because no features have been implemented yet.  I guarantee you once that happens, you won't care about PoD.  Go buy BlackToken if you want a coin with PoD.  Cheesy

You idiots are so stupid.  in 2 days, C-Cex will have to conduct a buy-back with the ipo funds, since this was a scam coin. C-cex holds them in escrow for 3 days, lol.  I am buying up all the coin at 300, and in 2 days, I'll cash it all back in at a refund for 1000 (ipo price).  LOL, x3 in 2 days with zero risk!!!

I'm sure alot of people are hoping this happens

Are you really a girl?

It's ok, you can say hello.  She won't bite, it's only the internet.  I promise. I think it's time for you to step away from the computer and talk to some real girls.

Hold up!

I just read some of the literature.  Only in legal to play markets?  Will I have to give you ID to play and withdraw my coins?

Hi JakeThePanda,

Poker and Casino will not be available in the USA. We will follow all applicable laws.

ID's (like driver's license?) shouldn't be required to play or withdraw coins.  It's the traditional payment processors that have stringent KYC requirements.

How will you know where I'm from if ID isn't required?  I guess there will be no playing poker with the pros considering most of them are from the USA.  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

For US residents:

We will IP block USA poker/casino play until laws change.  Although some consider crypto poker to be a legal grey area and offer unlicensed poker to the USA, we feel that it's not worth the risk it brings to the project and all the big names behind it.  We are thinking long term.

All forms of Fantasy Sports are legal in every state with a few exceptions.

Many Pros have residences outside the US.  We're working with Gzesh so that the Pros, even while in the US, will be able to participate in planned poker promotions.  You will be able to play with the Pros.

Apparently, i won't be able to. that's quite disappointing.

100% a scam, I feel sorry for the guys who are still holding on, someone is going to loose out, only going down from here, dev is hardly active, refuses to do POD and hasnt made any progress or updates. dead coin, he was hoping for bittrex so he could dump that premine.

What premine?

checked the block explorer lately? comon mate you could at least come up with a less detectable scam.

Come again?

I will never understand traders logic Smiley
People buy this and sell checkcoin below ICO price? wtf? Huh

even tho darktoken proven to have Icebergcoin dev
even tho checkcoin is a real business and has 5+ POD devs

My theory if anyone cares.  Although the bitcointalk community is very big, there are very few people here that truly believe that crypto has any kind of mainstream future, bitcoin included.  So, what does someone do if they want to make quick money and don't really believe in the product?  Simple.  Pick the coin that has all the bells and whistles in the announcement, a pump team and is mostly likely to get pumped quickly.  Something like CKC looks like a legit project and will take way too long to come to fruition, if ever, which makes it a bad pick for quick money.

Speaking of DPOS, I was thinking that BitUSD would be the perfect crypto to use for a poker site, if you weren't making your own.

is BitUSD live? active? viable? have not looked into bitshares since the old whitepapers.

Seriously? LOLOLOLOL  Cheesy

Check out #4 on the coin market cap

https://coinmarketcap.com/

bitshares != bitusd

Do you think Bitshares would be that high on the list if BitUSD wasn't active and working?

I dont know enough about it. i thought that with bitsharesX you can have a proxy to anything like BitGold and BitBTC as well as BitUSD. im still not clear as to how BitUSD maintains its value of $1.

like I said, its been a while since I looked into it, was on initial conf calls back in the the invictus-innovations days before the divorce.

Ok, we don't have to get into it here then. BitBTC and BitUSD are live.  I don't think BitGOld is live yet.  If you looked into it back then and didn't invest then I'm sorry to say you missed out on some major ROI.

i like this coin but i really dont trust ICO  Angry

Please explain your mistrust. Without an ICO, only miners would be able to obtain BRO. With the Bergstake feature, we feel that the risk of large miners / pools would having a majority stake is to large. So the initial offering, should work to distribute coins to investors / smaller miners / crypto-newbies.
If this is the only reason for the ICO then I'll suggest you to adapt some other distribution model rather than mining I mean something like what Captcoin adapted or probably signature based distribution etc.

Captcoin and all other coin-age based PoS coins, are really not decentralized currencies, stake grinding and nothing-at-stake, has forced all these coins into over reliance of developer checkpoints. If your going to do 100% pre-mine, might as well do DPOS.

We feel that active miners add more than just security to a coin, it builds a base of users with intimate knowledge of coin, and sweat equity helps in the long term survival.

Man the stupidity in crypto is seriously one of the craziest phenomenons to ever happen to earth. I see people selling at a decent price and then some complete moron undercuts everybody by a huge margin, i mean the dude is costing himself money by being such an idiot. its just unreal and i watch it on every coin. there is one guy, he's such a dipshit i wont even mine a coin he is on because he will rent hash and then sell coins for under what it cost him to mine it. panic sell. every time dude, like the coins are fucking hot potatos and hes made of ice LOL!! We seriously need to make people pass a basic kindergarten level math class before allowing them to crypto. Only way to deal with these complete fucktards is to wait until they run out of coins and move on.

Do you play poker?  I'm assuming you don't if you are complaining about bad traders.  Bad players are how you make money so  be happy they exist, not mad.
