401  Other / Meta / Re: Unofficial list of (official) Bitcointalk.org rules, guidelines, FAQ on: May 04, 2015, 03:55:46 PM
9. Discussions in the main boards must be in english. All other language discussions should be posted in the appropriate Local board.
Please expand on this with a note to the effect that "Automated machine translation, such as using google translate, does not reach the standard required to post in English." or similar. The same can be added for posting in local language boards.

This rule discriminates against those who do not speak english as they are unable to participate in a launch.

My post was deleted - [ANN] [BTA] [BATA] SCRYPT-5 MILIONI di POW-ZERO PREMINE - WWW.BATA.MONEY in the italian section.

It took time that I could otherwise spend on doing something else to create an Announcement only to have it deleted.

Online translation is not the best, but it is better than no translation.

The rule would be fair enough if the Forum had the ability to translate.

I disagree with you, since you are engaging in a business you should consider offering a translation job to users and pay for it. I know here into the forum are some people fluent in both Italian & English that can do the task for an amount of BTC to be determined. Using a free translator to do a business related task just make you & your altcoin look poorly at best, and scammy at worst.
Also in Italian local board only Italian language post are allowed!  Wink

If you never changed your account trust settings you could still see it, here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust

Hello , to Make a short history i Will go ahead..

My PayPal got limited with 2,450 USD on it so i have to wait the 6 month time to withdraw them I received that email, I'm looking for a loan like for me and investment for you.

I can give you a 20% percent interest which is a very good rate compared to other investments. I ask for 1,950 USD now in btc and in 6 months you receive all the PayPal funds from my account. I have seen people who give money to like lottery winners or similar cases so this is the same, the collateral is money itself too.
I can give all the account details but I don't know if we can add your bank account so you receive the money immediately after the time period..

I really being honest and don't want to "scam" or doing any weird.. I just think that I can give that money better use now no matter of the 20% fee than in six months when I'll receive more money from other sources... but there are many kind of investors outhere and this is a easy buy and hold for guaranted profit..
benjig ,you mxxtherfxxker  stops your scams.return our bitcoins back.you shit.Guys NEVER trust this quacker ,he is the dev of volatilitycoin and robbed people of theri bitcoins.

do you have enough proof for your accusations?

OP trust feedback page may provide some insight...apparently disappeared from his altcoin project and people lost BTC.

my bitcoin wallet address

Why necroing this thread when a new one  has already being used?

is that need? why? i think the addy ts just yourself to know, what benefit if i shared to you ?

Posting an address you can sign with your wallet can help you prove ownership of your account should it may end up hacked.
So, by posting here my own BTC addy 1CT2gzD8cmcfibGtJtrkBv7qdELVUMT5b5, i can prove later that this account is mine.

I want to know how one gets added in a default trust list?
Can someone help please?

~Rony

Provide accurate trust feedbacks on other users and a user on Default Trust or Default trust itself will add you to their's own trust lists, soon or later.
In other words kiss ass and hope for the best?

Not exactly, but it is your opinion. A lot of users were added after a few months/years and due their activity and honesty here in this forum. Maybe you will be added one day, who knows Wink.

+1. Since a trust list is made of people whose judgement the user creating it trust - even DefaultTrust, this being a list of people whose judgement admins trust - this is the way OP, coolcoinz, and others may end on a trust list (even the coveted DefaultTrust)!

Be Vigilant on Compliance, Coinbase Warns Bitcoin Startups

Quote
One of the largest players in bitcoin has warned fledging startups to remain vigilant on regulatory compliance issues.

Coinbase's associate counsel Sarah Hody urged entrepreneurs to follow the firm's "proactive" stance in front of a packed audience at bitcoin developer meetup in San Francisco’s South of Market district.

Hody, who worked at several different law firms prior to joining the cryptocurrency space, noted that a number of other sectors, including food services and the automotive industry, have regulatory bodies that ensure consumer protection.

410  Economy / Lending / Re: Need loan 0.03 BTC No collateral on: May 02, 2015, 11:58:49 AM
OMG what's your major emergency that you need $7 worth of BTC that you have to come here and ask strangers for with no collateral, and through a payment system (BTC) that's irreversible?

It would be so much easier for all parties involved if you would just ask family or friends.  Unless of course you have no intention to pay back.

That is the major problem im alone hehe, no worries problem are all solve, just need that money for that day.

anyway thanks

This is not a valid giustification. Also, since your profile trust feedback say that you tried to scam by buying BTC with a "hacked" (carded) credit card, no way you can get a loan without a valid collateral, even if more established here! I'll also quote your OP for preservation:
Need fast loan 0.03 No collateral
For emergency ill pay 0.033BTC on April 1 or 2, 2015
Please send it here:
1PAsBeaWbpW3Sfcvd3V8CYDtmSiUWtbT7e

Message me if you send I Only need 0.03

Thank you for understanding.
411  Economy / Lending / Re: Need Loan (0.2 BTC) on: May 02, 2015, 11:25:29 AM
Another one that wants to buy a vps  Roll Eyes , if you will be able to provide a valid collateral I will lend you those 0.20 bitcoins.

Account 1st & 2nd posts where made in the Serbian thread,  Other languages/locations board. So, probably, He may be interested in taking advantage of the Serbia's lowest electricity rates (compared to the Rest of Europe) for mining operations. However, the user posts history show that it was already unsatisfied with mining ops results and even tried to get a smaller loan with a bogus collateral (a cloud mining account) likely to get rid of it and recover its investement at expense of lender.
I think he'll never provide a valid collateral for this loan; however, IMO it should not only valid but also be big enough to cover the capital, the interests and all the hassle of selling it since he isn't going to repay the loan.

Amount : 0.2 BTC
Address: 1A5zW53GG9gcPK4wsbuuhZnPzy7dY8ZNSE
Will repay on : 04/05/2015 (0.25 BTC)
Reason : Want to buy a VPS
Thanks

Please contact me if you are able to provide valid collateral, and I will remove the negative trust.

Are you sure?  Shocked I looked at his post history and it seems a bit murky; since, before disappearing from forum, he already tried to get a loan with a bogus collateral (a cloud mining account) probably to get rid of it since he was disatisfied with its ROI. Personally, even if he provide collateral and repay the loan...I will leave a feedback (even only neutral) to keep trace of such fishy behaviour.

is this site ddos proof  ? Tongue

Using forum search box would have returned also the answer  to your question; however, I can also reply you to help you: theymos, the admin here, said bitcointalk.org is not using Cloudflare but instead is using a DDoS protection that works at a lower level by sending, after filtering, user TCP traffic to the forum's server verbatim. Here, he explained the reason behind such a choice being due to user privacy concerns on the how to of Cloudflare workings.

i have seen this site down many times..
and you are saying its ddos proof..
i think you should learn something from expresscoin.com this site can be down with simple ping also..

Have seen this site down many times, when? Since a few hours ago?

You may just be kidding, or trolling, since the only downtime I have experienced since theymos started using the DDoS protection said above was the one when he took down the server to enable again user avatars.
However, If you will to complain or point out issues with such arrangement, you should do it by posting in Meta or PMing theymos directly.

I enjoy reading topics like this one Cheesy

OP is really a lowest league scammer if he cannot arrange better scam attempts! However, I found also him probably trying to collect Reddit users IDs using a new Silk Road cover story (see here: http://www.reddit.com/r/SilkRoad/comments/344dpq/silk_road_is_coming_back/).
414  Economy / Services / Re: [SAD] I delete your account on: May 02, 2015, 04:17:38 AM
Guys, I think we need to ask her 'why can't we do it ourselves' a few more times.

Yeah, why cant we do it ourselves?
I don't get it.....

You can do it by yourself; however, some people may want to externalize the task to others and OP said he/she can do it for the prices listed in the first post.
Everybody is free to make a free choice.

417  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: signature campaign on: May 01, 2015, 02:07:58 PM
When you reached a forum rank of at least Junior Member you can apply for a signature ad campaign and add their banner into your signature. Then you will get paid for every post you write.

He could enroll in 777Coin and Bitin.io signature campaigns even as a newbie!  Wink Look just at Mitchell's thread!
418  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcoin Games Player vs Player on: May 01, 2015, 01:08:22 PM
There should be a 8ball multiplayer pool game where we can use BTC , Miniclip 8ball pool is famous these days.

Yea that would be sweet, or even 9-ball or snooker for Bitcoin!!

9 ball would be awesome, problem is if you are hosting the game yourself how do you make it a good version?

That's not the only problem. The problem with skilled based video games is that people who are brilliant programmers will use their skills to design bots which can beat any human being. And when it comes to winning Bitcoins it will be severely abused.

This is why you will probably never see Bitcoin Chess also, which is the best PvP game there is.

+1. Abuse with cheats & bots is already widespread even now, without actual money gains; so, adding BTC to the equation would only make things worse.
Just my 2 satoshis, however!

Reason to report: Referral link spam post

simple explanation for you :
You have signature space on your ID, placed on bottom of your post. So if you make every single post, the signature will appear bottom of it.
The signature feature added when your level is up, currently you are newbie, there are more level like : Jr.member, member, full member, sr.member, Hero member and legendary.
And signature campaign is a paid campaign from 3rd party company (not official from bitcointalk forum) to borrow/rent your signature space to place their advertisement.
You get payment based on your contract with them, usually pay per post (like 0.0013 BTC / post for a month) or fixed payment for particular post, example get paid 0.08 BTC for 30 post in two weeks.
There are some requirements for campaigner, like minimum level, minimum activity, minimum post and etc. And there are so many rules too, you can check every campaign because they are different for every campaign.
You can check current signature campaign here : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=615953.0
Good Luck
Are you guys Asians?  Like Asian Asians.  Not Asian Americans...

Reason to report: Pointless post (he is simply reposting information in a longer confusing post that users before him already posted in the thread to answer OP question, https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1044232.0) + signature ad
420  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: signature campaign on: May 01, 2015, 12:59:16 PM
You can earn money wearing someone's website, promotions etc.
That is correct. You wear signature of some company. It works like an ad banner.
There are two types of signature campaigns: campaigns with fixed rate (example: you will get 0.1 BTC for 50 posts/month) and pay per post campaigns where you will earn BTC for every post you write.

You can check overview of singature campaigns in this thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=615953.0

This topic was discussed and answered before many times.

+1. As a newbie, He could even use the website field of its' own profile to put a referral link there to increase earnings. e.g. if he would enroll in the 777Coin Signature Campaign he could add his referral link and a text like; Advertisement: 777Coin - The Exciting Bitcoin Casino! Provably Fair » Unique Games » No Downloads!. I started doing the same long time ago to avoid risks of spamming ref links around.
