401  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can Chat GTP destroy poker on-line gambling??? on: September 25, 2023, 05:06:10 PM
If that were the case, I am sure that investigation will be done. Look at Chess tournaments, Chess's got the most advanced AI in there already and even when people are using them to cheat, they can always detect them because experienced players know when something's too good to be true which is the likely scenario that would happen if AI will be used by someone to cheat in a poker tournament especially if you use it on amateurs, you will definitely become a suspect because you're playing too good.
402  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are there real sports bet groups on: September 25, 2023, 02:43:48 PM
I get your point and thank you for sharing,  I mean, better to focus with sports betting as chances  might be higher compared to casino games that mostly based on luck, if you can take extra time to study and learn more about the sport, and with the help of online access you can increase your knowledge about the game, and anticipating the possible outcome of the game might increase your confidence to place your bet.
Sportsbetting definitely is much better than just casino, and if I may add, there's a statistics that College Football has the best sportsbetting winning chance, I have read an article although I can't find it but it definitely says College Football although no reason was given. Also it's much better for you to do sportsbetting on the selected sports if you really like playing the sports yourself and not just because you want to bet on it and that you've done extensive research on it.
403  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Flip or Trade? What’s The Bigger Gamble? on: September 25, 2023, 10:49:28 AM
Trading isn't the same as gambling albeit there are many similarities that people are trying to force in, trading doesn't rely on luck for you to win in your trades, an in-depth analysis of what could be the behavior of the market for the day is a big help in your trades unlike in gambling where you're pretty much on the mercy of the probability of the gambling game you're playing. Although they both carry an inherent risk, you're better off risking your money trading blind than gambling because you can still get out in a loss in trading unlike gambling where you won't get your money back if you lose (which is the likely scenario most of the time).

406  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Gives the poor an Opportunity. on: September 24, 2023, 10:17:40 AM
But not all poor can grab the opportunity because there are people that don't have an access to the Internet let alone technology that can access bitcoin, maybe those above the poverty line and those that can afford to put in a little bit of money in bitcoin and have the devices that can afford to navigate the platforms where they can buy bitcoin. I feel bad though that the opportunity of a lifetime still doesn't reaches everyone but what can I do? It's not like I put them there or have any way to help them out, I'm just a lowly salaryman that lives paycheck to paycheck.
407  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin on banking systems. on: September 24, 2023, 08:20:05 AM
I'm not sure about the banking system in my country but I assume that with a lot of online banking system popping up, I think that in a way bitcoin shaked the monopoly of the banking system although I could be wrong as there's a few big named families that own a lot of companies in my country so the monopoly that I'm talking about might not be shaken even a little. To be fair though, bitcoin isn't a popular means of payment in my country so if my claim earlier is false or misleading then the banking isn't fazed that much in my country.
408  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How can third-world countries counter inflation using bitcoin? on: September 24, 2023, 07:06:42 AM
In regards to how bitcoin can solve inflation in a third-world country, I think that bitcoin wouldn't make any difference or significant change to that problem because most third-world country that's experiencing high and uncontrollable inflation are countries that have incompetent leaders and officials, if you root out corruption and place competent and smart people on the important seats in the government, you can easily see changes but given that not a lot of people has done this in these countries, I am not entirely that purging the corruption might be the solution.
I can't say I agree with the impact of bitcoin being so small or insignificant when it comes to helping alleviate inflation in a country let alone a third-world but I definitely agree with you 100% that corruption in the government is a pretty big help if a country wants to combat inflation, I haven't done a research yet but there's probably studies to prove that there's a relativity when it comes to a country's prosperity and it's government's competency and incorruptibility.
409  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Earnings on: September 23, 2023, 10:12:41 AM
This is a bad place to learn about trading because of the diversity in good and bad advices and opinions, and even if you can sift through them, it's tedious and you're better off exploring on your own then when you make the mistakes then you can come back here so you can have specificity on your solution compared to just taking in all the information. If you really want to learn trading to gain experience, you should consider practicing trading.
410  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Is The Father After All on: September 23, 2023, 05:31:45 AM
Thanks for putting what everyone knows already on a post, pretty sure that's the only reason why people that don't use bitcoin are still on the lookout for news in the bitcoin space. I'd also like to point out to you that if you actually get out of the bitcoin bubble/echo chamber, you would know that there's still not a lot of people that knows about bitcoin.
411  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hate speech and it impacts on bitcoin on: September 23, 2023, 03:28:49 AM
The reason for the propagation of hate speech in bitcoin is because the people that's supposed to talk and inform us about bitcoin aren't either talking, not talking loud enough or don't have a platform or support to talk to which leaves a void that will be filled by the people that you really don't want to see talking about something they're passionate about because you know that they're going be a waste of time and their talks and such only breeds toxicity in the community. Another reason why we can't have a civil discussion with people is that we aren't good at arguing when people have a different opinions than us, same for the people on the opposite side of the argument, maybe if we can change that, we might see some changes but that's undoing years worth of principle because not being able to accept other's different opinion starts from childhood.
412  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Nigeria continuous banning of crypto on: September 23, 2023, 12:24:12 AM
Wow, and just yesterday I was replying to a post regarding a hotel in Nigeria that's accepting bitcoin for payments. And the fact that they have agents planted to take down the P2P crypto trading in the country is such a crazy situation which is scary for a lot of people even those outside the country because one look of their own government on what Nigeria is doing and the possibility of crypto crackdown in their own country goes through the roof.
413  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: George Residence becomes first hotel to accept Bitcoin in Nigeria on: September 22, 2023, 09:55:04 AM
It’s nice to see business owner take initiative to add bitcoin as a payment method in their business. I’m excited about this development in Lagos, there has been a lot of criticism on members claiming to adopt bitcoin payment in their business, most of which are Nigerians. This move by this Nigerian hotel shows the level bitcoin holds in the country and how open minded Nigerians are. This is just one among many others we are yet to discover.
The owner probably knows about bitcoin and thinks that it's probably a good idea to add bitcoin as a payment option, pretty significant move but in a country like Nigeria, I think that it's much better if they can influence other businesses to do this to really make a difference. I am all for bitcoin being used for commerce and stuff but I don't really see it as the best solution because if you've been in bitcoin or crypto space for a while now, you really don't like spending bitcoin instead you want to accumulate more, it's like you are paying stocks to buy snacks or stay in a hotel.
414  Economy / Economics / Re: Shipping container prices on: September 22, 2023, 08:26:02 AM
What would be the implications of sailing small loads? If it's more taxes then wouldn't that mean that companies are getting big tax breaks from their imported products thus more profit for them? If what I'm assuming is right, wouldn't it mean that there's bound to be an economic problem because they're not paying their dues?
415  Economy / Speculation / Re: BITCOIN HALVING COUNTDOWN IS ON – WILL CRYPTO PRICES RISE? on: September 22, 2023, 02:23:13 AM
If we should use past halving to analyze and conclud, after some months after bitcoin halving, the price if bitcoin will increase. After a more than a year, bitcoin will increase more and reach all-time-high. I do not think we need to read any article about it, it is what we all know on this forum. After 2024 halving, be expecting bitcoin price to increase.
It's probably not just months, we'll probably see bitcoin get to another ATH after halving in a year or more because last halving, bitcoin took it's time to get to another ATH. That's not a bad thing that it's going to take a long time to get to another ATH because that means that we're going to have plenty of time to stock up on bitcoin and hopefully hodl it until our desired price pops up and hopefully make a considerable profit.
416  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will ETFs pump BTC to $100k soon? on: September 21, 2023, 09:25:15 AM
How we sure that ETF will trigger the acceleration of value and if it should trigger the acceleration of value or price, It will be in small fraction not as many people expected that the price of bitcoin will skyrocket beyond the normal circulation or rotation and stagnant price of bitcoin. All what we saying here is assumption, speculation or prediction because nobody is hundred of fifty percent sure of the ETF making bitcoin to have price acceleration that is difference from the normal slow of bitcoin increment in value
I don't know if that's OP meant but given that it's a question, I think OP isn't dealing with certainties here so it's safe to assume that OP is just asking questions whether bitcoin would benefit to the introduction of ETF, ETFs help in making bitcoin more accessible to more people which isn't bad although there's also the downside that people who invest in ETFs don't have a direct ownership of bitcoin. So in regards to how sure we are, it's still debatable.
417  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Elon Musk keep what he said or not? on: September 21, 2023, 04:52:26 AM
~
Yes, Elon Musk is still the CEO of Tesla, SpaceX and X (Twitter). I feel he is again trying to manipulate the Bitcoin price, which means he is trying to manipulate the market. If he starts accepting Bitcoin then we can expect a Bull run of some sort before the halving. If he is bluffing then the market will remain the same till halving and then we could see Bitcoin price going in upward direction. I stopped following his sudden burst on Twitter after he started promoting shit coins.
Oh, maybe I've read wrong about Musk stepping down as the CEO of Tesla. I don't know about the manipulation of the market but if that's what's happening again then one thing that we can do is to just save of fiat and wait for them to sell their bitcoin like what SpaceX did recently and then buy bitcoin when the price goes down because of them because bitcoin will eventually bounce back even if there's market manipulation.
418  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will there be a boom again? on: September 21, 2023, 03:05:10 AM
With all the altcoins popping up in the market and with it most of the time being a shitcoin, I think that it's in your best interest to just stick to bitcoin because at the least your wait is guaranteed profit unlike altcoins where you don't know if you're hitting a goldmine or a septic tank and you're most likely to hit septic tanks, plus a lot of altcoins can't maintain their growth spurt, they are unlikely to repeat their pumps so it's not worth your wait for a pump that's not going to happen. Stick to bitcoin.
419  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will reach all-time-high before halving. - BitQuant on: September 21, 2023, 01:32:18 AM
The market history of bitcoin is enough evidence that a significant increase compared to the previous ATH is only possible after the halving so BitQuant saying that it's going to reach an ATH seems kind of outlandish to think but I won't reject that completely because life's full of surprises so we should be ready if this unexpected thing happens. Now, I don't know what I would do in this scenario, I guess just accumulate then sell when the price reaches 6 digits then buy back when the temporary bear happens I guess?
420  Economy / Speculation / Re: A Simple Reason Why Bitcoin and Crypto Prices Must Fall to Zero on: September 20, 2023, 12:00:39 PM
It's funny how all responders here ignore the argument at hand and just write stuff completely unrelated to it. The argument talks about the difference between speculative and real demand. The usual crypto propaganda for attracting speculators cannot refute it. The difference between speculative and real demand is so simple to comprehend that there is no need to say anything more than what was said in the opening post. Let alone respond to all those ad hominem and non sequitur comments.
Even if you're right, there's far too many people that's sharing the illusion and it's too late to be saying that bitcoin's going downhill because there are big players in the market now and I don't think that they would want the price to go down so fast and them still hodling, they're going to want the ability to control that drop and then get out with a big profit. You could've made your post a bit more organized too, a wall of text isn't an attractive material to read for many.
