4121  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitmain extends warranty period on all new orders on: November 11, 2020, 09:42:57 PM
If they provide repair/replacement without returning it to China.
If they do it quickly. Under 3 weeks
Then it would be really good.
How would they provide repair/replacement outside of China? One way is to open repair service centres in different countries and cities but I don't know how beneficial it can be to their business, even think that it will be a lot of expense for them. And replacement without returning it to China seems impossible right now. For these, they need to radically change their logistics, sales and at some point, business structure.
Btw returning it to China, especially right now, means that once your antminer needs repair, you are in stuck.
One of the hindrance on why i do let myself skipped out on mining activity due to this kind of reason about warranty yet shipping cost would always
be not cheap specially if you are on a far country to China. If they do said about free shipping which had SFR mentioned above then thats quite still in doubt.
Extending the warranty period from 6 months to 12 months well its good for locals or nearby but for those on other countries then it wouldnt really be that something interesting.
Putting up service centers? possible but depending if they do saw that a particular country have lots of miners.
4122  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: VPN regulations on: November 11, 2020, 08:26:07 PM
There are so many VPN services and many traders use them to hide their residence country so they can use certain crypto-exchange or some other platform which prohibits some countries resindents from participation(which is very unfair in my opinion). I'm pretty sure the authorities in every country are pretty aware of it but still allow VPN services to carry on. Even in China you can use VPN and visit any webiste.
Why do they allow VPN's? Maybe it's just useless and authorities are able to identify user's location anyway but it marks those who use VPN and place them in some database.

When it comes to total restriction then its quite true that we cant get rid of those users who do really tend to bypass and make use of VPN.
This is why other platforms doesnt really care that much if there were users that using up VPN. About storing on other database then we cant say such thing
but neither they might or might not able to consider on listing out those users but eventually they might be taking some measures incase if they
would be checked out by authority or that.
4123  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: November 11, 2020, 07:20:15 PM
I played the jammin jars slot a few times, but when playing this slot it seems heavy so that every 3-5 spins the screen will load
Has anyone experienced the same thing? especially when playing on roobet.
<snip>
If it is the case, then the heavy load can be due to the use of VPN, usually VPN gives us slower connection.<snip>
Aside from possibility that VPN, affects the loading negatively because of slower connection(sometimes), is his browser.
I'm not sure but I think some slots are better to be played on a particular browser...
OP, try using other browser. Clearing the cache of your browser also maybe could help.
Try closing other tabs too.
It can really be possibly into those 2 different reasons and indeed VPN do really have slower connection but as mentioned above where there are paid ones which is better but
not really that great when you are in direct into your own ISP. Browser can be also a culprit too thats why when i do opening these kind of windows on particular slot games
then i do make use of Chrome or Brave.

Hello,

Any ideas when the positions will be filled? I'm just wondering how long it will take to find out if I got in or not.

Dont be on a hurry because yahoo do usually pick up participants after the week ends. Its just not that ideal to pick when the week is going to end yet newly accepted will really be spamming out
just to get the quota. So expect that picking will be on Friday i guess.  Smiley
4125  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does Bitcoin price rise affect your gameplay? on: November 10, 2020, 09:09:49 PM
I have seen the same, people are complaining that the fees are too high and it is taking a very long time to get a confirmation and without it they cannot gamble at all, while some may not consider this to be a problem if you are looking to make a transaction with a low amount of bitcoin it is entirely possible the transaction cost is going to be bigger or at least be a significant part of the value you are trying to send in which case it does not make a lot of sense to send that money over to the casino.
You are right, the transaction cost is another issue, but, as of recent, paying $2 to $3 worth of bitcoin as fee is not bad at all to transfer $100 or more, this is the range of low transfer fee for now, within 2 to 3 hours, the transactions will be confirmed. But, if the people not satisfied with that, they can make use of altcoins like litecoin as payment.
This is why if you like to gamble it is a good idea to have a small stash of altcoins that have very cheap fees and that you can use in the case the bitcoin and the ethereum network get really busy, litecoin and dogecoin are good options for this, especially dogecoin which not only can get you a fast confirmation but the huge amount of dogecoin I get for my bitcoin makes me feel I am betting a lot of money when in fact I am just betting a few dollars.

One of the pros when you do use up DOGE and other coins which have cheap value is that you would able to make up bets with lots of coins but in reality its just really that cheap thats why it happens
but i do agree on the feeling that it gives  that you are believing that you are hell of a rich guy who have tons of coins but well its just a feeling.lol. On the question of bitcoin price rise affect my gameplay?
No it doesnt because im not depending into its satoshi count but always basing up on the fiat value and if in the past i do play with 10 bucks equivalent to btc then thats still im doing at the moment.
4126  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: An Indian boy committed suicide after losing money by Betting in IPL on: November 10, 2020, 07:28:28 PM
If only he has enough people to guide him he wouldn't have taken his life he wouldn't have ruined it at the first place.
I also had trouble in gambling but my friends help me to forget gambling and focus on other things to make my life better.
Now reading this kind of things make me so thankful for all the people who help me back then.

I agree with what you are saying. But here in India, it is not that easy. Since gambling is illegal, the users are forced to remain anonymous. Even if they gets cheated, or in case they need counseling, the gamblers are very hesitant to come out in the open. And this makes it very difficult for us to help them, even if they are in trouble. At least this case was publicized. There may be hundreds of other cases, that are not covered by the media.
Here in my country also, gambling is illegal but there are a lot of gamblers that are really hard headed. They don't care about the law and they don't care if they will be put inside the jail if ever they caught by the authorities. But those Elitists who's managing the gambling games are anonymous in order for them to be safe from the authorities. They are hiring low profile people to work for them and recruit gamblers to play.
Even if theres restriction there would be always people who do go against it and  there are people who do really make out those places even on the illegal side
as long they do able to make money or revenue then they will surely do it even if againsts the rules or laws and for those addicted ones then you are expecting
for them to play and go into  these illegal places.

About on that kid who do took suicide then he's very wrong on that decision.Life is only one and problems can be solved out no matter how severe it is.
Its just human being are too emotional but there are some which cant able to handle out that emotion which would really lead into this.
4127  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: lets imagine world without fiat currency on: November 09, 2020, 10:19:35 PM
Transactions without fiat may occur in the future considering that now everything is digital, it is likely that in the future transactions will use digital currency.
Many are wishing and hoping that someday we can use cashless transactions around the globe but I don't think it  would be possible most especially because there are people who can't afford to buy gadgets most especially those who came from an average type of state.
Fiat or paper currency would really remain and its just hard to believe that we would all transitioned to cashless basis and the thing you had mentioned is one of the possible reason
on why we cant really just head up there. We do already had cashless transactions but doesnt mean that it will wipe out the paper ones and as long the government do exist
then its impossible to think that they would really be removed soon. Its good to have some cashless society but the reality will really make not happen because not
all will really able to deal with it.Not all does have device and not all are literally knowledgeable when it comes to tech.

4129  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading in the pandemic on: November 09, 2020, 07:24:01 PM
i think this pandemic made lots of people to think about trading and made lots of new comers loss. they failed a lot and as a result, they lost a lot of money. lots of them had no experience and then they thought they can be rich in this way. so most of them lost everything
I am not sure if new traders lost or made profit because we almost have a bull run since the March drop and I don't know how one can face loss in a bullish market because it is often said that during the bull run everyone makes profit.

A lot of new traders entered the market that's for sure because during these pandemic times everyone had at least one thing and that is, spare time which meant that people tried new things and even guys who were working from home saved a lot of time because they don't have to travel and found side activities and BTC being so popular now days attracted a lot of traders who had nothing to do but to try new things in spare time.

Profit for those who do held or to those who bought in cheap prices but talking about who would be the one to have some loss? Of course to those people
who do actively trade.Theyre playing with the movement of price and it doesnt matter if its a bull run or a bearish market yet they do still continue to trade.
On with this pandemic then some people do sees it as an alternative but i would say that this wont really be taken easily because instead of making money
then you might be losing instead this is why its better to study first and learn it up and dont rush up because it cant be learn overnight.
4130  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bplay binance casino? on: November 09, 2020, 05:16:55 PM

Looks like safe maybe worth a try, I thought you need Binance account first in order to play but it seems that it's just an option well that's great since I can play on it without Binance account.

When i do first see the site, i do already have some doubts on using up or logging in with my Binance account and i do have that kind of feeling thats why
i decide not to log in with it but rather registering for the new account. For dummy binance account then yes but for an account with funds then im
little bit afraid for some possible phishing thats why i didnt really log in directly. It sees legit for me and it had some announcement which do add up some proof.

4132  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Lost password for MEW wallet on: November 08, 2020, 06:59:18 PM
Hi everybody. So, I know i f**ed up, I had a rig for about a year that were mining to my wallet and havnt been using this adress for 2 more years, and now I cannot find my folders with a password anywhere on a drive (used a lot of recovering programs - no luck). Its only 4.2 ETH (and around 98% of 0.2 mined) but I really could use that money now. I know that MEW dont recover any lost passwords, but may be someone can provide me with any usefull info about what I can do about it? Thx

So you do talk about a folder on your drive with password? If thats still your old HD then you might make use of some recovery services incase you do delete it
but if you do pertain about MEW wallet password then  thats one of a hell of a big problem. Chances of recovery is almost 0%.
This is why we should really be keen and careful on storing up these sensitive information specially its the main thing for us to access our wallets.
Once you've lost it then say goodbye into  your coins.

4134  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: KYC for bounty hunters on: November 06, 2020, 11:24:13 PM
Bounty hunters are protecting their privacies not because they are cheating, though some are but as for me I don't join bounties that ask for KYC information because identification details aren't safe online, they can be leaked and use for illegal stuffs that can put one in trouble some days
I agree with your argument that it is not safe to share your personal data online because they use this data for other purposes. So I think it's very unreasonable to set kyc for bounty hunters. there are many project want kyc because to reduce and distribute tokens.

Several alibis on where a team could imply or alter on;

-KYC
-Bounty rewards distribution composed in several months.
-Distributed but tokens are locked.
-Delay due to several reason.
-Waiting up for some license or operational or getting listed before they do make some distribution
of rewards

and so on. This is why it do sucks when you are a bounty hunter and just waiting to get paid up yet you would
really feel that youre like a beggar.
4135  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2020-11-06] US authorities seize $1 billion in bitcoins on: November 06, 2020, 07:02:35 PM

Thing comes up to my mind on now the government do have held those bitcoins neither those would be kept but for sure they would really have that in mind that they will sell off.  Cheesy

Im just wondering on what are the things that had been done on why that hacker did really agree on making out such transfer rather than keeping those coins or keys for himself.

Unless if he had been offered with some sweet deal for him to sing out those keys. Do this news can possibly give out some positive or negative effect to the entire market?

4137  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is it a good time to buy Bitcoin ? on: November 05, 2020, 09:20:01 PM
I personally think it's hard for bitcoin to fall back to $10000 because there are so many supports around and definitely they will be the boundaries for the bear. However, if you accept the 30% risk, there is nothing wrong with buying bitcoin at this moment. Bitcoin is predicted to be even higher and therefore, buying bitcoin right now can give you a decent profit in the future. Don't hesitate to invest money in bitcoin because it is considered safe haven on the Internet which can compete with physical gold

At the moment, I am holding 2 types of cryptocurrencies: Bitcoin and Ethereum. I expect that my portfolio will multiply by 4 times in the next 2 years.
We cant say that it is hard to fall into that level because we had seen in the past on how we badly do crash but i agree that its hard to believe that we would go back again in 10k
considering on the current price we are into.Is it time to buy bitcoin atm? for short traders then for sure they would wait up for some pullback or price decrease but for those
who are going for long term then it doesnt matter on what level or price they would go in as long they do believe into the coin on where they had invested on.
4138  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading hours on: November 05, 2020, 07:22:24 PM
Even though crypto-market is open 24/7 I've noticed that trading at certain hours (depending on time zone) is more active with more volatility. Sometimes it's right after US stock market opens, sometimes it's on weekends.
What do you think the reasons?

Its just your own presumption that volatility does react when US stock market opens yet majority knows that theres no significant connection or correlation
between traditional investments on here with crypto space thats why its just a coincidence but hey, you wouldnt know if those are indeed affecting volatility
but actually theres no precise time for someone to trade off on where he can benefit out of those price movements.Anytime can be the best time
but there are indeed time where price isnt really that moving much.
4139  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: An Indian boy committed suicide after losing money by Betting in IPL on: November 05, 2020, 06:09:23 PM
Suicide isnt really a good option to avoid your problems and the stress you do currently have. Some people think that this is the only solution and theres no other way but to suicide.
We might be on that situation where everything doesnt seem to be solved out but we know that each problem do have its own solution and since you had done something wrong then
you should really be prepared or aware on what are the possible consequences that would experienced if situations comes worst and we know that gambling does have 2 results
neither you would win or would lose on that certain bet.If you do won with that loaned amount then that will be putting up some smile in your face yet it did save up your ass
but if not then you will really be messing out your life.

So as far as i understand each Phreee would cost 300 sats each.So gamblers would need to buy up that coin for them to play and due to negative house edge then it wont really be that hard to make their balance grow. The question is, would this token will really get some value or would be just good to be used into this site alone? Its pretty new because this is my first time on hearing out for a negative house edge type of casino.
A new way on how the team do make out some move to make their tokens to be sold which i do agree on the point had been said above ^.
