air conditioning always helps.

I dont know where you are getting those numbers from for Antminer earnings. When I put 1.6GH/s into Coinwarz it tells me they earn $0.16/day mining the most profitable coin.
The Bitcoin side of the Gridseedx5 runs at 8G and Coinwarz makes that a profit of $0.79/day. Running it in Litecoin only mode produces $2.5/day on the best Scrypt coin according to Coinwarz.

This is very close to accurate, also there are coins much more profitable than Litecoin,

If you mine DOGE for example, and you have 10 Gridseed miners, you are making $45 a day and your ROI is 60 days and your annual return is upwards of $16k (all things remaining the same)

Your power cost for a whole year is less than $100

so why not??

I corrected your post for you.
Now I am just as pissed at KNC as the next guy, however you do not know Bitcoinorama's situation, I on the other hand do know what is going on through a private conversations with him. I am not going to get into details except to say, I corrected your post to reflect accuaracy as I know it.

so if you're communicating with orama and you've been saying there's going to be no physical miners delivered but only cloud hashing then we should take it you know more than you're revealing.  No?

I'm sure you swore to secrecy but you should give us more of a hint if you did in fact know something that's going to help us out.

 Huh Huh Huh

Personal reasons that have nothing to do with KNC.

Just FYI I ordered 50 Units from him today, I should have them by Thurday/Friday if all goes according to plan
425  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [GUIDE] GridSeed Miner Support/Tuning on: March 03, 2014, 08:31:37 PM
Here is my question, if you are using just the LTC portion of the chips, do you need the fan at all?

Do you need anything but the upper heatsink?

I have never seen a photo of the underside of the board (the fan side)

The thing draws 9.5 watts at 800 freq, how much cooling could it need?

Forget about racks and shelves, someone should figure out how to mount 50 of these things inside a PC case

Believe it or not, George isn't at home, please leave a message at the beep. I must be out or I'd pick up the phone. Where could I be? Believe it or not, I'm not home. [Beeep]

Hysterical!!
427  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: March 03, 2014, 01:35:17 PM

There is no correlation between the two. The second part is *your* reading of the situation, which I'd say isn't too far away from the truth. KNC are going round telling everyone there is no reason they can't be as big as facebook - you know there is something wrong at in their arctic circles - aka their brains - when they are making those gandiose statements  Grin

Bitcoinorama abandoned this forum almost a month ago to the day. It's easy to see where his allegence lies. He's down with the greed and megalomania and thinks knc will become billionaires and he is hoping that will trickle down to him. He doesn't give a toss about people on here, he's always been a shill with his eye solely on his own *image* and *self-interests*.

He obviously knew all about KNC's DC plans - just look at that engadget video from January. He was talking about the eventual bitcoin "winner" being the ones with access to the cheapest electricity etc.

Probably the only time he'll come back to this forum is when things start coming unstuck for KNC and they get to the paranoid, "everyone is against us" stage of delusion and they fire him. And he'll come on here claiming he quit, (as lies and spin are his forte) and he'll try to win everyone back on his side.

The guy abandoned this forum a month ago because he was well aware KNC were about to break every one of their promises and commitments to their customers who made them. And he didn't have enough moral character to stay on the forum and face everyone. Cowardly.

That's what his silence is telling you. "beware KNC has gone mad" is your own correct interpretation of the situation.

Back on topic:

When will KNC deliver?
Because for the same money you can buy these days 10 Antminers (2TH total) and start mining in 2-3 days from now...

Back on topic? Really LOL

KNCMiner is not delivering.  This is now a bitch session thread.

Welcome to KNCCloud.com

Looking forward to the 5 chip gridseed support...current cpu miner is insanely unreliable...

Is this actually in the works?

I thought I read that it existed. I guess I was wrong

430  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: February 28, 2014, 08:20:26 PM
Been away for a while.  I am confused.  Why do ppl want a btc refund?  Take cash and buy more btc than you had before.  Hasn't spot been mostly $800-1000 during most of the Neptune pre-order period?

When BTC turn into cash its a taxable event.

When more than $10k gets transferred into your account in the U.S. it fires off a red flag to the IRS

That is why KNC should refund back in the form it was paid in. But they are doing the opposite so that they can have credit for refunding in fiat. The more they have in BTC and the less they have in fiat the better they are too (less taxable events)

431  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: Gridseed on its way to Los Angeles on: February 27, 2014, 05:38:58 PM
I will be selling as follows:
1 case of 20 units @ $240.00 each, 2 cases 40 units @ $230 or 3 cases 60 units maximum @ $225.00 each.

thanks

The last I had read was you were planning on selling these at cost?  At cost for an order that size should be around $160 per unit?  Unless they raised prices that is a pretty big markup?

Keep in mind the cost to ship, import and customs expenses and the cost to ship them to you.

They are $160 cost in China, once they leave China that is a very different story.

I'll take 50 units from anyone who can deliver them in the U.S. for under $200 today!

I had one bum unit that Mr Teal fixed, since then all 3 solid as a rock.

They still have miners. The owner only didnt advertise them much in the last time. They want to sell more when BTCGarden gives them more. I dont know if other chips and miners are planned too.
This list is for current market miners, if I see active group buys or listings then I can add them.

They are current. Or do you mean they are too old?
Current as in hardware is being sold NOW. If they have nothing to offer, they don't need to be on the list.

I am still owed BTC1.43 that Technobit refuses to refund after they botched a group buy

serious ethical issues

Looking for original link, was mid 2013

The salient details are that he ran a group buy for Avalon chips, 4 months into the buy when avalon decided to not deliver, instead of PMing all the buyers he made a single post in what was now a 5 month old thread, essentially saying "Send me a signed message by this date and time for a refund" half a dozen people didn't see this post (for obvious reasons) when I finally saw the post weeks later, his reaction was "too late" now when I get the chips I will ship them to you. Which he claims he did (like threw them in an envelope and put a 50 cent stamp on it in Bulgaria) and I have never received a refund or the chips, I have been literally pestering him for either for 6+ months as have others in the botched group buy. With no results.

He has no integrity in my opinion and his trust ratings reflect that. He takes 4 to 6 months to ship customers goods and reading any thread where he sells also reflects that.

he is this much || better than BFL in my opinion.

436  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitcoin to paypal -- Legit ? on: February 26, 2014, 12:47:29 AM
Anyone ask for a refund yet? I have 3 options with my stuck btc:

1) I can pay them twice as much btc to make my transaction exit the "level" process. (Which I will never do)

2) I can wait for the "developers" to fix the "stuck in waiting" issue, which the guy said could take 1-2 weeks. Then if they ever do, I will be paid.

3) I can ask for a refund of my btc, which will take 7-10 days supposedly, and is irreversible once started.

Right now I'm at option 2. I have fully accepted that I will likely never see my money or btc again.

OPTION 3!!!!!

MtGox paid a fortune today for the domain name GOX.com

How do you take a site that is so screwed up and get it up on new code?

Throw everyone off and fire it back up under a new domain with new code???
