1041  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [FAILED]Butterfly Labs 30 day countdown to the end of September on: October 25, 2013, 01:24:15 PM
Thursdays update:

Thursday, October 24, 2013 Shipping Update

Jalapenos 4.5 and 5 gh/s: April 8, 2013  Stuck on this date for 2 days

Little Singles 30 and 25 gh/s: March 15, 2013

Singles 60 and 50 gh/s: March 28, 2013 pay date Stuck on this date for 4 days

MiniRigs: April 1 (1st 500 gh/s), March 25 (2nd 500 gh/s) March 18 (3rd 500 gh/s) and All June 2012-Feb 2013 MiniRig orders complete.

Oh there is ^^^ a sign of April right there!!!

There shipping department is so screwy, I have evidence that:

1. When they say your order has shipped, it hasn't. Takes as long as 2-3 days before it REALLY leaves the building
2. That they send multiple tracking numbers for the same order
3. When they say that X date has shipped they don't mean ALL the orders for that day, they mean they have started orders for that day

1042  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: YIFU IS AUCTIONNING? on: October 24, 2013, 07:15:16 PM
He may not have "screwed" you,but almost every group buy for his 110nm chips got fucked...not screwed, big difference...by him not shipping in time or not at all & slow on the refunds for those chip buys & the batch 3 rig buyers got fucked too for the same reason................

Go ahead, send Y I FU BTC,he just made a nice little chunk on the price rise off your BTC  Roll Eyes

Read this:    https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=269950.0

Y I FU,YOU ARE A PIECE OF SHIT!!!!!!!!!!
If he didn't sell the BTC at the close of the auction then it was his choice to hold them as an investment which could have also caused a loss if the market had crashed instead. Yes I was not happy with the unexplained delays with my batch #2 but they still turned a profit so I must give him some credit since it's far easier to risk money in a preorder than to bring an ASIC miner to market. I followed that thread I agree Yufi really fucked up batch 3 and bulk chips and has almost zero customer service but getting all worked up because people bought his very cheap and promptly delivered mini's is irrational. We decided to take a risk based on his past performance and the new terms of this in-hand auction via third-party and it paid off, simple as that.

They were a loss until you bought them, then he got to right off the rest.
WUT?

It's accounting you wouldn't understand.
1043  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Off-Topic on: October 24, 2013, 07:10:38 PM
So what I think I understand after reading this thread is that if you paid with BTC, then there is not much legally that can be done?  Just wait for Amir to give us 50% in 3 months from several weeks back?

You are still confused.

You are getting NOTHING. 0%

They are gone, the money is gone,

What questions do you have?

at least you others can learn from BFL's mistakes of the leaders. even when BFL can't

FTFH

A startup comes out of nowhere, gives BFL a one-year head start, and out-hashes BFL in less than a month.

Meanwhile, BFL will be trickling year-old 5GH and 30GH units for the next six months.

Sometime in March, 2014, BFL may start shipping units that KnC is shipping today.

What will the difficulty be in March relative to today?  4x?  6x?  8x?

Seemingly it's quantum physics for shills to understand. Anyhow not our target audience. Let's hope we can save some poor souls a lot of financial anguish.
I do get things wrong now and then... I predicted 1PH by Sept 1st for example.  I also predicted 3PH before Oct 1st.  Guess I had too much faith in Bitfury, KnC, BPM, Cointerra, etc.  Looks like my 6PH before Nov will soon fall by the wayside as well.  I'd say it sucks to be wrong, but I'm making more money this way Cheesy

You are such a hardcore supporter but even you have to admit that anyone with a 5th grade education who works for BFL could look at the daily production levels, look at the book of business going forward, look back at the last 90 days and be able to make an informed estimate (with everything being the same, parts, people, hours in the day) on when stuff is going to be done.

BFLs incredibly bad ability to do this means one of two things, they are either not smarter than a 5th grader or they are intentionally giving bad information. I have made predictions in this thread alone a half a dozen times and been right more often than Josh is, how do you explain that?

I predicted they wouldn't clear April in September, even when Josh said on 9/11 that they would
I predict they wouldn't clear April in October and they won't
I predicted that the production would come to a near stop (pay date wise) because of the huge book of orders in March and they did.

All these things had a direct impact on Josh's estimates being (not a little) incredibly, hugely off the mark.

Yet I knew they were wrong crunching numbers that you and I know are both way off.

Please explain.

P.S. dont get me started about Jody who claims that the entire staff of assemblers/shippers etc work 7 days a week, yet Mondays numbers for shipping on any given week are never any better than the previous Friday when you would expect them to be 3 times Fridays numbers.

If something not broken.....

 Undecided

with my saturn I have been getting between 263-278Gh on FW 0.95 right out of the box.

Not messing with it.
1046  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [FAILED]Butterfly Labs 30 day countdown to the end of September on: October 24, 2013, 12:22:29 PM
For those of you waiting for your units from BFL....

If you look at your account and it says "Fulfilled" that means, no not that it's on it it's way, it means one more week until it's going to be built.

If your pay date was for example April 15th 2012 and Jody's blog says on Monday that all pay dates to April 15th have shipped, that means yours will ship tomorrow in three days.

When you get the email with the tracking number, that means you can start tracking it tomorrow in three days because it won't leave their facility for another two days.

So when you see activity in your account (changes to fulfilled) your unit is about 10 days away!

That's the Butterfly labs shipping system where fulfilled means in a week
and shipped means tomorrow in three days.

and Two Weeks means 8 months!!

Latest updated above.

BFLs production hasn't moved in two days (except for Jalapenos which the outsource)
1047  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [Group buy] Avalon chips Escrow John K / Please check refund list until Sunday on: October 23, 2013, 10:43:13 PM
For sure there is no way for him to have order for any product of Technobit Wink

Yes don't worry I won't be ordering anything from you,
Your reputation in the group buy will keep me far away
1048  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: YIFU IS AUCTIONNING? on: October 23, 2013, 04:42:34 PM
wtf is with people buying Avalon shit after what Yifu has done?

Greedy bastards, they would sell their own mother for a buck.

Put more money in Yifus pocket and then flip them on Ebay.

HEY! a mans got to make a living right?

Not if you make a criminal more money while you do it.

I'm pretty sure Yufi sold these at a loss. The declared value on mine were $500 each so I'm wondering if that was his cost but regardless I'm sure he didn't make them for the $300 I bought them for...

In other news, my wife just used my "MINI ASIC heaters" to rise some yeast for some cinnamon bread she's making for dessert Tongue

1049  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] KnCMiner's Jupiter Units ~1600Ghps on: October 23, 2013, 02:02:16 PM
The range of 30-35BTC à Jupiter I consider as a low offer. I have to refuse all your bids or you have to make a better one! Meanwhile I'll keep digging coins myself  Wink

35BTC = $6790

Mid November https://www.kncminer.com/categories/miners  = 25BTC

Seems like a fair offer to me.

1050  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Off-Topic on: October 23, 2013, 12:07:09 PM
You aren't paying attention.

They are gone, you aren't getting a dime,

Unless you are suing them you aren't getting shit.
1051  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Butterfly Labs New 600GH "Mining Card" - RED FLAGS?!?! on: October 23, 2013, 02:14:07 AM
We should all pool together and buy advertising space here... I am sure we could put up whatever we wanted since they allow scammers to advertise?!?!

BFL uses Google Adwords to hook their fish. I am sure that reach is 400,000,000 times better than the bitcointalk forums.

Ah Adwords huh?

Let me go check out their ads.....everyday.....4 to 6 times a day, every week....forever

If you get your BFL Single today it will mine BTC0.12 a day
your little single will mine BTC0.06 a day
and your Jalapeno will mine BTC0.01 a day

For those who ordered after April first and paid $2500 for a Single, you are just screwed.

more likely is BTC going to 2000usd!
BTC value ≠ difficulty, although that seems to be the trend.  Anyhow, I digress.  We need to wait till the market stabilizes, it's too risky to buy/pre-order any ASIC right now.  I am almost certain any ASIC bought today, will see very little to no ROI by the time the device gets to your door and/or after you mine back the initial investment cost.

Forget about BFL's Monarch, given their track record.. it won't be released till Q3/Q4 of 2014.  By then, it's like having a Jalapeno of today... or worst.

I look at the size of the thing and the projected hashrate and think it's going to get too hot.

BFL customer once, never again.

Never say never, why burn bridges?

I am not the one burning bridges
1057  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: October 22, 2013, 03:58:02 AM
I'll probably not break even with my Saturn and lose money. Kind of sucks...and the only way to get out of that is to actually buy more hashing power. The cycle never ends really. I'm  a solid 279Gh/s according to cgminer but I don't know what all those other numbers on the screen are. I'm trying to take a screen shot of that screen and do  a break down to help people out on what everything means. Reading it from a text file leads much to be desired. I crudely took a screen shot and point some arrows and maybe can make a one stop shop for what all those numbers mean on this one page.

A:  Number of Accepted shares.
R:  Number of Rejected shares.
HW:  Number of Hardware Errors.
U:  Utility which is described as the number of shares completed in a single minute.
WU:  Work Utility, this is essentially how useful your the work you are doing is.  This is determined like Utility, but is weighed based on the difficulty of the shares being completed.
ST:  Number of shares current in your queue.
SS:  Number of Stale Shares.
NB:  Number of New Blocks detected.
LW:  Amount of work locally generated.
GF:  Number of GetWork requests that have failed.
RF:  Number of Submits that have failed as a result of connection problems.

Well I don't know how to tell you all this.

So I will just tell you.

My Saturn arrived today after a 6.5 day trip from Sweden to my home in the Northern Florida area.

The box....... almost pristine. Few small tears. Open the box there is some extra pink foam on the sides of the miner in addition to the end foam.

Inside the miner, I opened it up........pristine. No fans hanging off, no loose wires, no heatsink plastic, FLAWLESS

I plug my Corsair HX850 into the unit, plug in the Ethernet, put in the "paper clip"
Find it on the network, login in all looks well.

It has the .95 firmware

Its hashing at between 260 and 274GH to BTCGuild. Between 45-51C on the chips.

So I was dying to screw with it, take it apart, put it back together again, tweak it, mess with it.

I can't, I shouldn't, it just works.

What am I missing?

A fucking big grin ?

I noticed that mine seems to have been burned in for a good ten minutes over there...maybe they are taking more care now?

Alright!
