Scam or just plain stupid
1062  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Klondike - 16 chip ASIC Open Source Board - Preliminary on: October 21, 2013, 04:18:50 PM
Well I have 1 highly prized (HA) Avalon chips.

Any idea who may be selling assembly services and actually delivering a functional device,
Otherwise these chips are going to become nice cuff links.
1063  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: October 21, 2013, 04:12:35 PM
Note for those waiting for DHL to deliver your units in the U.S.

A signature is required.

If you want them to leave the package without you being there.

You must leave a note with your signature saying that you authorize them to leave Waybill # XXXXXXXX

and don't forget to sign it, otherwise you will be waiting another day for your item.

1064  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [Group buy] Avalon chips Escrow John K / Please check refund list until Sunday on: October 21, 2013, 04:00:59 PM
And let's look at that OP

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=217316.0

"So Let's
set a dead line Sunday 18:00 GMT
Please, check refund list  before that.
All requested refunds will be processed by Jhon.K
The rest coins will be transferred to Zefir in exchange for delivering rest of the chips to me.
All these chips will be here ready either for assembly or delivery by your wish."

Which Sunday?

The Op was dated May 27th

You never said which Sunday so I say its Sunday 10/27/13

I want a refund.

You screwed this up, didn't PM anyone.
Didn't say what Sunday was the deadline.

Want me to stop complaining send me my BTC
1065  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [Group buy] Avalon chips Escrow John K / Please check refund list until Sunday on: October 21, 2013, 12:12:24 PM
any news about that famous refund? my wallet is still lacking btc from marto74 GB
No answer from john .
Hi is not around last 3 -4 days
I'm sending mail and PM every 24 hours
the BTC is still in the escrow address
http://blockchain.info/address/1NrWRA6RWapSqYHuEAGRnxjdnWoKgucDhT

Just be patient, please

RIPPED OFF

I asked for a refund and I am being forced to take 16 garbage chips because they came up with some process to follow AFTER I asked for a refund in this thread.

This ended up being a nice SCAM for them

YOU DID NOT SENT A SIGNED MESSAGE OR E-MAIL, ACCORDING TO THE RULES IN THE OP!!!!
I'm not processing any requests that are not signed with your sending wallet .
Now I have shipped what you paid for on the address you gave me .
Please stop this, countless PM's and messages.
Peace
Martin

The rules which you could have easily PMed to the buyers, but you didn't you just expected people to come back to this SIX MONTH old thread and check to see if you made a change to the deal.

And for the record in this very thread I said I WANTED a REFUND long before your rule for a signed message.

Looking back at the last 10 pages of this thread I am not the only one who wasn't following here.

When you manage a group buy, your obligation is COMMUNICATION.

A single PM to all buyers would have taken you 60 seconds.

You failed.

I lose $230 in BTC because you are lazy.

Now I have 16 Avalon chips worth $28 coming to me

THANKS!
1066  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [FAILED]Butterfly Labs 30 day countdown to the end of September on: October 21, 2013, 11:45:22 AM
Today is 3 weeks into "2 weeks or so" to clear April backlog orders.

Not a single unit from April has even been shipped.

Current prediction I have made for BFL (because they are math impaired) is November 15th before they clear April 2013 orders.

Not that its much of a milestone still being 6 months behind by Mid November.

The hope is that people came to their senses and the amount of orders in July-Oct of 2013 are few so that they can get through those "quickly"

It looks like 2014 before they get all the 65nm orders off their books.

Then the long wait for Monarch will begin  LOL

1067  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Butterfly Labs New 600GH "Mining Card" - RED FLAGS?!?! on: October 20, 2013, 05:02:16 PM
Go to hell bfl labs

Nobody will buy  from you now

Well, unfortunately there are a lot of stupid people in the world. I don't usually laugh at other people's misfortune, but I'm really going to laugh at the hugh profit loss of everyone who bought in to the Monarch. We warned them long ago, yet they didn't listen. Their only hope is to try to get a refund ASAP.

I am afraid I will be right there with you in January laughing at:

1. People screaming "Where are our Monarchs"?
2. People screaming "Why hasn't my LS/Single/Minirig" shipped its 2014!
3. Doing 1 & 2 above in Feb, March, April, May, June and July

1068  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [FAILED]Butterfly Labs 30 day countdown to the end of September on: October 20, 2013, 03:43:16 PM
Technically, no one, as I actually saw it myself on their board.  I was in KC recently and stopped in to talk to Josh one day.  They are up to 4 assembly rooms, not counting the off-site Jalapenos.  They were actually having pizza for lunch that day that had been purchased and sent in from a customer.

SIGH
1069  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [FAILED]Butterfly Labs 30 day countdown to the end of September on: October 20, 2013, 03:40:48 PM
BFL will be gone soon and we won't have to be annoyed by their behavior that is the bottom line.

I just want to be around to see it happen

1070  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: October 20, 2013, 02:31:00 PM

And don't bother to reply, you are on ignore.

No worries, sent you a nice response in PM.

1073  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [Group buy] Avalon chips Escrow John K / Please check refund list until Sunday on: October 20, 2013, 12:47:06 PM
RIGHT HERE IN THIS THREAD BEFORE YOU ALL, I ASKED FOR A REFUND FOR MY CHIPS.

LONG BEFORE YOU ALL HAD YOU OFFICIAL VOTE, THEN NO ONE HAD THE DECENCY TO PM THE PEOPLE INVOLVED!

SO IT WAS MY RESPONSIBILITY TO MONITOR THIS THREAD TO SEE IF YOU ALL CAME UP WITH SOME PROCESS FOR A REFUND???!?!?!

I ASKED FOR A REFUND AND I EXPECTED ONE AND BECAUSE I DIDN'T CHECK HERE EVERYDAY AND DIDNT FOLLOW YOUR PROCESS EVEN THOUGH I ASKED FOR A REFUND RIGHT HERE IN THIS THREAD I DON'T GET ONE AND HAVE TO TAKE 16 WORTHLESS CHIPS INSTEAD OF THE BTC1.34 THAT I PAID FOR THEM??

THIS IS BULLSHIT. DON'T DO GROUP BUYS IF YOU DONT HAVE THE DECENCY TO SPEND THE EXTRA 60 SECONDS TO INFORM BUYERS VIA PM THAT THERE IS A CHANGE OR A DECISION TO BE MADE.

YOU DID NOT EVEN DO THE MINIMUM, REASONABLE THING AND EXPECTED PEOPLE TO MONITOR THIS THREAD EVERYDAY??

PEOPLE HAVE LIVES.

KANO...

I am willing to let you play with one of my saturns if that would help, I can provide you with the I.P & password.
Not gonna happen Tongue
I've already got hardware from other companies that I help (and am working on at the moment) so priority of that is way higher.
... and this time of year there is a whole bunch of music work I do also.
Not really interested in hardware, that the company who sells it tells me: thanks for your software - sucked in - bye bye.
... and of course as I have stated before, I don't do remote access support to solve the problems of hardware that I don't have and will not be getting.

You do get that all these firmware/hardware issues are of KFC's own choice right?
Back in July we were told that the testing was off the critical path and delayed until August when they would like our input then.
But then when we asked again at the end of July they ignored us until the "sucked in - bye bye"

Funny, my emails to KFC were very civil, I guess that was my mistake ...

I could not agree more, the least someone can do in return for your help is send you a sample unit.
Especially if they are not paying you anything.

Oh SHUT UP with that again !!!
Helping with dev getting the device does not force him to defend !! Bullshit is what is in youre mouth.

1075  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: October 20, 2013, 05:08:51 AM
I'm thinking of getting a refund for November.  I have a feeling I am going to be battling that one.  Sam was such a nice person back in May.  (When I had money of course)  Now they all seem like a bunch of dicks.  They are probably just busy engineers but it sucks seeing how they don't really want to work with people anymore.
They seem to be pretty open to working with people still IMO.
I wouldn't pay too much attention to the troll(s).

(Not to say KnC is The Perfect Company, but they seem to be getting a lot of FUD and exaggerations...)

We shall see.  I stepped up and made an offer to help KNC with an issue that would be very helpful to them and their customers. I assume they are busy making units so we will see if they reply.

You're working off a statement made almost a month and a half ago when they only had 1 assembly room... but hey, it's BFL, they never change, right?  I heard the record was well over 600 units, but I'm sure you'll take that with a grain of salt as well.

I think part of the problem here is you fail to understand this is not a 1 person operation from start to finish.  You need the programmers, the card assemblers, the unit assemblers, the case assemblers, the final assemblers, QA and the testers.  If all they had to do was flash a card and ship it like some companies (IF they had chips <cough BPM cough>), they'd not need 80% of the people.

You don't have to convince me that BFL has the worst, most complicated, slow assembly process.

You also don't have to convince me that things may have gotten better but they weren't smart enough to communicate it to their customers.

So just curious when you were there, there were 16 assemblers. Who/how exactly have you been kept up to date on the addition of assemblers and the fact that they got over 600 built once or twice.
Who shared that data with you?

I don't doubt what you say, I am just curious who shared it with you.

I wonder how my miner is enjoying Ohio, now that it has spent 2 days there.

Maybe it is seeing the sights and visiting a few museums
did you call DHL?

Yes it cleared customs and it will be here Monday or Tuesday, whenever they get around to it.

1080  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Hacking The KNC Firmware: Overclocking on: October 19, 2013, 01:18:20 PM
That phone home address seems local to me. Correct me if wrong.

Yes, the URL seems to indicate that the Beaglebone board serial number is the unique identifier.

So they create an internal website and (speculating here) when Zeek orders a miner,
they put his unique config on that webserver at:

http://192.168.100.1:8080/1813BBBK3065   <<typical BB serial number format

and when it is built, they plug it in to Ethernet, they power it up and it programs Zeeks info from his profile and off it goes.

ALL SPECULATION, but that is how I would do it.
