Not bad if you can pick them up for 2-2.5btc. I am planning on picking up 2. Hopefully I don't get screwed.

And you are what is wrong in this scenario.

Then you pay a few coins and don't get what you paid for or when you paid for it. and then you bitch and complain. Why put another penny in this assholes pocket for what he has done and all the businesses he has ruined??!?!

Let him shove them up his ass.

1144  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: 1500 GH/s butterfly Bitcoin ASIC Miner for sale 29k USD on: October 14, 2013, 04:55:53 PM
$14,000 on 10/14/13 (if you deliver to me today)

$13,400 on 10/15/13 (if you deliver to me today)

Subtract $600 per day for every day after that.

That is the value.
1145  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] 6x Butterfly Labs 500 GH/s Minirigs! on: October 14, 2013, 04:52:19 PM
BTC36 which is exactly what I can buy one from KNC for.

1146  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [UK IN HAND] Butterfly Labs Little Single 30GH/s+ Bitcoin ASIC. Same Day Ship. on: October 14, 2013, 04:49:37 PM
Bidding BTC3.5
1147  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: (WTS) 2x BFL 60 GH/s, based in US on: October 14, 2013, 04:29:30 PM
So far I haven't seen anything that is really enticing to sell them over mine with them myself.  I highest offer is 10 Btc ea. I was looking in the 12 Btc range and they do come with PSU's.

BTC9.1 is what you paid for it (with BTC1 @$135) and if I would pay that I would not recover that amount.

Take the BTC10 and run!!
1148  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: October 14, 2013, 01:23:41 PM
In a gold rush, only the people making shovels make money.

KNC just like all ASIC companies are bunch of engineers without any customer service skills.

No one here is speaking for KNC in an official capacity.

In less than 24 hours KNC will have missed their deadline without any official word from KNC

Sadly without any official word many customers will ask for a refund because their investment will not be recovered and again another ASIC company will succeed in making themselves money and fail in making their customers money.

'orama, I appreciate all your help in trying to communicate but you don't work for the company and don't speak for them in an official nature,
The best thing you can do is leverage your relationship with the owners and let them know that you can no longer speak for them and someone in an official capacity needs to get online before 10/15 deadline and explain what their intentions are to make customers whole.

thoughts???

Throw it away.

1150  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Bi•Fury | 5+ GH/s USB Miner [FASTEST USB MINER IN THE WORLD] on: October 13, 2013, 03:17:40 AM
Very cool,so won't be ready till 1st quater 2014  Huh  Have to see the network speed by then............4-6 Petahash at least is my guess  Cry

Yeah, price can't be much more than 1BTC to make em worthwhile,at least from profit perspective  Cheesy

But,very cool device,nonetheless  Cool

I suspect it will be like Erupters.  BTC1.99 initially, then 1,0.5,0.25,0.125, 0.0675 etc.

Cool to have one or two, just for testing and stuff.  But I suspect they will be priced at 90% "linear ROI".

4-6 PH? Maybe.  It is amazing that the network hashing increases by ~30% every 10 days or so.  Assuming we will hit 1750 TH around Oct 15th.
Here is what the future will look like at 30% increase on every step up:

1750
2275 Nov
2958
3845
4998 Dec
6498
8447
10981 Jan
14275

We should get some flattening of that curve at some point.  Hard to believe that we'll be getting 4 PH jumps in 10-14 days sometime in January/February.  But I guess it is possible, if there will be 2TH Avalon like boxes for $1000, individuals will buy 5-10, and you'll get 4 PH+ jumps every 2036 blocks.

Regardless, they are cute and I'd buy one or two.

The chips at cost are $30USD each, so they have $60 in chip costs.
Expect the price to be between BTC1.0 and BTC1.5
at $60 for the chips don't expect the price to go much lower than BTC.90 long term

Remember the block erupters got cheap because they were the OEM of the chips, if you are reselling bitfurys then you can't get much better a price.
1151  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Which PSU are you using for your KNC Miner? on: October 12, 2013, 03:44:06 AM
HX750

But After firmware reduction in draw I may be able to use a 500W Corsair

(I ordered a Saturn)

1152  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: KNC Countdown to shipping all units - 15th October on: October 12, 2013, 02:25:50 AM
They will never ship all the orders before the 15h of October : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=249065.0
Those with no shipping day are, only now, having their order status changed to "In progress".

Agreed!

"In progress" is not delivered. Not even shipped!
I will ask for refund if I don't get my "2nd day" order before 15th.

Before you ask for a refund, wait.

Ask for some other form of compensation and see what happens.

My guess is that we should hear something in the next 48 hours.

Perhaps Sam may decide to compensate us in BTC

or eat the cost of express shipping

Stay tuned.

Anyway, just wanted to announce that after working with our design team we have launched three new bitfurry based products on our site.

Bitfurry based 64ghs, 128ghs, and 192ghs.  These three models have a 4 week shipping period from the date of purchase, but it'll probably be around 20-25 days.

Picture from the EU Bitcoin convention where they are beating up on Joshua (in Dutch) half way around the world.

From: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=268088.msg3248773#msg3248773

The English translation of the caption under Josh is:
Do you have an order with Butterfly Labs and still received nothing? Come get your order tomorrow, he gives them out on the Conference

You would think being such a force in the Bitcoin community, he wouldn't have to sit in the back in a corner

1157  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: October 11, 2013, 04:23:06 PM
And here is a tip for everyone.  You know those two pins you jump to make the PSU work?  Do you know what those are used for?

When you press the OFF switch your motherboard opens those two pins, telling the PSU to power everything down safely.  That is the only correct way to shut a system down - pull the jumper, then power off the PSU.

If you just flip the PSU switch off, you leave a "whole lot of amerage" suddenly looking for the quickest way to get home.  And electrons aren't fussy, if they can find a shorter path across a component instead of thru it, they'll use that.  If there are unseen micro droplets of solder on the solder mask that present a shorter path, they'll use that path, carbonizing the solder mask and making it an even BETTER shortcut - resulting in nasty smelling smoke and burned solder mask...

Just flipping the PSU switch to off might not break anything the first time or even 100th time you do it, but eventually you'll pay the price, and the magic smoke gets out.  There's a very valid reason why you don't just turn off your computer by yanking the plug out of the wall socket - and flipping the PSU switch is the equivalent of doing that.  Do that to your desktop computer a few times and see how well it runs as a result...

Good tip thanks!

After 28 nm will come sub-angstrom.  Hey I swear we shipped it to you, it's just too small to see.

Now that one really made me laugh!

Wink

You'll really be in stitches once you see the Scarlet Letter:  Ĺ.

Is your two months on probation up soon  Huh  Cheesy

Seriously, am not on any probation period nor took any bribes, simply scaled back the vitriol attacks.
