1281  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Refunding[Live-Group Buy].5BTC = 2.8Gh/s KNCminer Jupiter *11 Sold on: September 24, 2013, 03:32:48 PM
I can't for the life of me understand why no one is taking the fantastic opportunity to get an early-order KnC Miner on the cheap here.
If I didn't have most of my coins stuck in btct and a little more time on my hands, I would do it myself! Jesus, you could just buy the place in queue here for 39 btc and then auction it off on this same forum for a big fat profit. These miners are still very much worth their money, just getting it refunded and giving up the place in queue is insane.

OgNasty offered to buy the miners and refund everybody already a week ago. Here's what he said to me in PM (hope it's ok that I disclose it):

Quote from: OgNasty
I have told them repeatedly that I wanted one or all of these units.  They said they are going to go the refund route, so there isn't much I can do.  I would love nothing more than to buy all of these units.  Getting refunds at this stage is ridiculous.

I guess he just doesn't know about the recent developments here.
But, oh well, if nobody wants to go through the trouble of organizing this, then just refund me. I'm on the official list now too. Such a waste  Undecided

A lot of insane things happened in this deal.

Everyone panicked when they thought the building was on fire and they all ran for the door.

Then they realized everything wasn't that bad and started questioning their initial panic.

While I don't think the panic was unwarranted, nor was asking for refunds. However, now that myself and others have gone through the process of helping get everyone's refunds  (you are welcome) please just be content with getting most of the funds back.

This is the historical equivalent of a "run on the bank" due to panic (that was likely warranted) so best just to take your money and run.

Trust me.

cross post from PP refund thread

Ok - here is the new twist...... it is entirely possible that PayPal has run out of BFL funds to chargeback as they answered my request by saying I should call my credit card company.....

Did you use the back door guy at Paypal who is familiar with the situation and were told that?

Oh, looks like Josh and BFL are deciding to play hardball with Paypal refunds. Background, I ordered a Single on 27th November 2012. I got sick of checking the BFL forum for news (of which there was never any good). I was impressed with the professionalism of KNC with my Jupiter order, so elected to seek a refund via Paypal, which I received within 6 hours on the 15th September.

This morning I received a shipping notification from BFL, to which I replied with this email:

Quote
Hi,

this order has already been refunded via Paypal. Not altogether sure why you are shipping it anyway. Is it a freebie?

Cheers,
Donovan.

Just now, I received this rather threatening email

Quote
Hello Donovan,

No, this isn't a freebie. We submitted the shipping and tracking information to PayPal. You can ask PayPal to reverse the refund.

Kind regards,

Brandon

So, it is true. They are outwardly trying to prevent you from getting refunds via Paypal. PM me if you need more information.

P.S. Josh hates it if you use this picture as a profile image. I know this for a fact. It's copyrighted.

Good thing the first amendment allows us the ability to borrow for the purpose of Parody.

1285  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Future hashrate contribution from each hardware vendors/institutions on: September 23, 2013, 11:26:57 PM
I open this thread to bring awareness of how hashrate will grow based on data we get from the vendors. This is the data that NONE of hardware vendor would like to share. So all of these are reasonable projection only. Any info thats contributed will get updated in this post. This thread is essential for anyone looking into mining investment, so ppl dont make blind decision and convinced by shills or anyone with their own agenda. I will break it down month by month (at the end of each month)

October 2013:

+ KNC mining: ~250THs (filled me in pls as i dont follow every update)
+ BitFury: ~200THs (second batch, altho it might be pushed into Nov)
+ HashFast: 200THs (500 Babyjet sold in first batch)

November 2013:
+ HashFast: ~100Ths (anyone will better projection can give their background info)

March 2014:
+ BFL Monarch: ~ 200THs (i would expect $1million in sale the minimum, big customers from BFL alone would beat this figure )
+ Black Arrow: Huh Will be updated once we have better info

I left out all the mining company because i've not checked into them. So anyone please give me more info about them.
I will keep this post and updated as we have more contributions. I'm not looking into any mining investment right now so definitely i need more contribution to keep the data more useful.

Use this data and do your own mining profit calculation. Ignore all the shills and advices from anyone. .

Check the current hashrate increase here: https://blockchain.info/charts/hash-rate

Anyone have this data from January 2013 to Sept 2013?

I'd like to see which company contributed how much TH broken down by month.

Dance little monkey's, dance!

Mature.

Josh, why has my cancelled order shipped today, more than a week after I received a refund from PayPal?

1288  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [FAILED]Butterfly Labs 30 day countdown to the end of September on: September 23, 2013, 09:52:46 PM
Dance little monkey's, dance!

Plural for monkey = monkeys.
No apostrophe.

Since you helped with spelling earlier, I knew you would appreciate the assistance.

Thanks brother!  Sorry for the slip.

"That's what "he" said!!!

Let's not get on his spelling.

His biggest problem is he keeps spelling the first month of the year as S-E-P-T-E-M-B-E-R.

Then it all goes down hill from there.

There are not 30 W-E-E-K-S in a Month
There are not 52 M-O-N-T-H-S in a Year

And last but not least 14 days is not "Two M-O-N-T-H-S" tm

1290  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [FAILED]Butterfly Labs 30 day countdown to the end of September on: September 23, 2013, 09:46:52 PM
They're complaining because you're late and others are early (relative to you).  There's nothing more or less to it than that.

Someone hasn't been reading the forums!

without to get too personal I suggest go back to work and do your job. I have a order in your system which I can charge off. this is the situation we have right now. I will never ever do any business with you again, for shure.

Believe me, it will be more of a relief to me than it will be to you!

PS - there's no "H' in "sure".

Sei un gran pezzo di merda.

Now go to translate

HAHAHA Some of us did not have to go to Translate!!!

Voglio dirgli di mangiare un sacco di pene!!!
1291  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [FAILED]Butterfly Labs 30 day countdown to the end of September on: September 23, 2013, 06:24:00 PM
Haha look at the little minions scramble every time I post.  A single post from me brings out the entire Anti-BFL crew to hang on my every word, it's freaking awesome.  You crazies spend more time paying attention to me than you do your own lives... I'm not quite sure what to make of that, but I'm sure glad I'm not you!

How's it feel to be so detested?

Must suck.

Do you want a refund for your KnCMiner share? It will be shipping in about a week! I would highly suggest that you keep your share and mine with us.

Sure... but who is "us"? How will you organize the profit share?

My advice, if you didn't have the confidence to stay in, you really should get out, even though you (now) see it was never a scam, if you don't have the stomach for it, just get out.
1293  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: .447 G/H Block Errupter overclocking service. .06 BTC (includes parts and labor) on: September 23, 2013, 05:19:03 PM
First let me say you are very nice to do this.

Second for BTC0.06 you are not making enough money for the service you are providing.

Third, and sadly, the math just doesn't work for anyone on this (you included)

Let's say I have 20 of these and I pay you BTC1.2 for the upgrade plus BTC0.20 for the freight so BTC1.4 total to get me 2.28 GH more.

For less than BTC1.4 I can buy 8 new Block Erupters and probably the USB Hub to plug them in.

Since we are all in the apologizing mood,

Ragin'  please extend my apologies to your roommate, I know I was hard on him, but I needed to be sure he communicated the severity of the situation to you, and he understood that the info must reach you and the issue had to be resolved.

I applaud you for toughing out the situation and getting this resolved.

That's a good development. I was 90% sure my BTCs were lost and was getting very annoyed lately.

I was wrong. I apolgize.

Which forums? These forums here at Bitcointalk (which you say are not relevant)  or the forums on Butterflylabs which you have banned everyone from and deleted all the posts?  That place is a ghost town now.

Your shoutbox is now but a whisper.

71 74 75 198 days of Jalapenos to ship  [Updated for Joshs 9/11/13 New Date of April 30th 2013]
152 154 175 299 Days of Little Singles   [Updated for Joshs 9/11/13 New Date of April 30th 2013]
148 178 209 257 404 days of Singles   [Updated for Joshs 9/11/13 New Date of April 30th 2013]
303 311430 days of Mini-rig orders.   [Updated for Joshs 9/11/13 New Date of April 30th 2013]

674 684  749 product line days left to ship

They are shipping 21 product line days  (product line days is the combined amount of days of all products) on average each day.

They need 32 35 more days (shipping 7 days a week) to get to the end of April.  They have 7 days left until their latest self imposed deadline. guess wild ass guess  estimation goal.

If they sacrifice one product line over the others, they may get one to the finish line. Chances of getting all of them to the finish line are ZERO.

Timer removed. End time: 2013-10-01+05:00:59UTC

Adjusted the clock for Kansas time.

"Josh, you were thinking all 2012 (non-MR) pre orders would be shipped by end of July, still feel that way?"
BFL_JoshYeah, I think we'll get it done.

3 Jul 13https://twitter.com/BFL_News/status/352443673574780929

BFL_Josh - I still expect us to be through the back orders by the end of August.

Suddenly the shipping for all orders to date slips a month

8 Jul 13 https://twitter.com/BFL_News/status/354233716274495488
With the current order book up to today, I expect it to be filled by the end of September.

BFL_Josh - As far as I know, our new production manager is still on target for the end of September.
So not sure what you make of Josh's predictions ... seems to me like he is simply passing on the party line from his boss and saying what he is told to say... but quite frankly... DON'T BELIEVE IT!!

Some replies I found worth now posting here:

So far, not a single person has shown a quote from anyone at BFL promising all back orders would be shipped by the end of September. All dates given have been estimates, that's why they are called estimates and not "guarantees."

Is this really that hard to understand? Do people really not understand what an estimate is?

As far as this quote goes:

It's due specifically to the fact that we are delivering and fulfilling our end of things. That's what's so ridiculous about all these arguments. Why do you think the difficulty is going up? Who else is shipping in quantity besides BFL? We crossed the 10,000 units shipped mark sometime last week and our production is accelerating. Please, and I'm dead serious about this, tell me what you thought was going to happen after we shipped all of our products? Did you think difficulty would remain the same or go down?

Some gentlemen named Fuzzybear spent quite a bit of time compiling all the
Josh and Jody quotes regarding all the missed deadlines, targets, estimates (whatever word the shills like today) the ones towards the end about the September target are specifically entertaining.   Grin
