421  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The fall from 65k to $30k was the best thing to ever happen to Bitcoin on: June 19, 2021, 11:08:47 PM
As OP mentions, it is like the fall of bitcoin had to occur so that more people participated in the network, be it the banking institutions and the countries that want to improve their infrastructures and the quality of life of their inhabitants.

I also view the bitcoin scene with great optimism. This is an opportunity for the United States to make Bitcoin more environmentally friendly so that there is no more doubt.

A #Bitcoin mining conference yesterday in China promoting the cheap energy and welcoming nature of the United States, as an option for #Bitcoin refugees.

A geostrategic blunder for China, and a chance for the U.S to secure jobs, its energy grid, and place in the digital economy.

422  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: El Salvador to revoke Bitcoin as legal tender? on: June 19, 2021, 10:46:21 PM
OP, that would be a heavy blow to bitcoin.
I wish it were not like that and that the country of El Salvador has the opportunity to change history.
May President Nayib Bukele be a visionary and may he have all the tools in hand to make his nation prosper.
We have all made use of bitcoin and it has helped us to carry out some projects with which we have been satisfied. Why can't it be possible for a nation like El Salvador?
I understand that the IMF and the World Bank have great power but many nations have not been able to get out of their socio-economic problems with their programs that is why bitcoin is the best option.

Take a look at all the countries that have expressed through their legislators to include bitcoin as a means of payment in their nations

423  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Adoption In Paraguay Next Month, the domino effect is unstoppable on: June 19, 2021, 09:57:53 PM
Thanks guys for sharing this news.
Bitcoin has its heart in Latin America.
Here is the Twitter account of Grupo Cinco, the most important entertainment company in Paraguay.
As announced, the company will accept payments in cryptocurrencies from July: bitcoin, ethereum, shiba and chiliz.
It is worth noting that payments will be processed through the Lightning Network.

Well! I understand that shiba has been chosen because of the furor it has caused recently and chiliz is a fintech platform that supports the sports industry and Paraguay loves football.
Bravo! Paraguay 🇵🇾 👏

424  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is a Force of Nature on: June 19, 2021, 09:22:49 PM
Well! I see that OP carried his ideas about bitcoin as a poem. He wanted to make art by highlighting the characteristics of bitcoin. It is also valid that art inspires us with the benefits of bitcoin.

On the contrary, I have come across thoughts on twitter about bitcoin that revolve around ignorance, which is why we need to carry the truth everywhere to defend the best ideals on which bitcoin was created.

OP, I loved your presentation of ideas about Bitcoin is a Force of Nature.
Here's a great inspiration from Michael Saylor is a pinned tweet.

425  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The bull market still exists on: June 19, 2021, 08:41:27 PM
Bitcoin has survived by two very hard blows as we all know the FUD of Elon Musk when he announced that he will not receive bitcoin as a means of payment in his Tesla cars due to its environmental impact and the second blow that bitcoin received when the Government of China imposed new regulations on cryptocurrency transactions.
But bitcoin survived and according to Plan B on Twitter we are resuming the run.

426  Economy / Economics / Re: Why don't banks work with cryptocurrency? on: June 19, 2021, 07:56:15 PM
Banks do not work with cryptocurrencies because they are decentralized and are not accepted due to their volatility. But thanks to the continuous work and the growing acceptance of the community they are gaining more interest in these institutions.

We can add that bitcoin and cryptocurrencies now have Crypto Friendly Banks. As the following article in Tezro points out, a list of banks compatible with bitcoin and cryptocurrencies located in the United States, Canada, and Europe.

Quote
What is A Crypto Friendly Bank?

Before we look at some of the best crypto-friendly banks, it is crucial to understand what a crypt-friendly bank is. Just like businesses, cryptos need banks to grow. If there was no access to the fiat economy, for instance, it would have been virtually impossible for Bitcoin to gain the value it possesses today.

427  Economy / Economics / Re: USD Inflation over the last century. Bitcoin can protect you even in the US. on: June 19, 2021, 01:49:59 PM
Undoubtedly, the impact of the pandemic changed the consumption habits of American citizens, causing an increase in the percentage of inflation that could be temporary now that the country's economy begins to activate due to the low incidence of Covid19 cases achieved by the massive vaccination plan.
The stimulus checks in the United States have allowed the economy to be maintained, so inflation has not been felt because the prices of the basic basket have remained almost the same in reference to recent years, unlike the real estate sector that has increased.
Fortunately bitcoin is in perspective in the USA in some way to another it will contribute to the economic development in the country.
428  Economy / Economics / Re: Inflation and social mobility - there has to be a relation on: June 19, 2021, 12:41:19 AM
Obviously, inflation powerfully affects the quality of life of citizens in any country. And if we talk about the social mobility of Venezuela, we could think that it has received a negative impact due to the current situation.
As education is the way that children need to rise to the higher socioeconomic levels, the percentage of decline due to social mobility is evident. Due to this situation, it has given rise to the migratory crisis in Venezuela.
429  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Covid-19 carrying the growth in digital currencies? on: June 18, 2021, 11:40:31 PM
Honestly, I think that payments in crypto will be an additional payment method and that it is not an imposition because people are not yet familiar with bitcoin and cryptocurrencies. So there is no need to force them, if they start to see other citizens using them, they will also try to include them in the payment systems.

For example, how it happened for the first time when local banks offered you their ATMs in your city, like when you paid for your products for the first time with debit and credit cards, as well as when you paid from your phone with online banking. With bitcoin and cryptocurrencies it will also happen the same.
430  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Iran also wants to legalize crypto on: June 18, 2021, 11:11:22 PM
As is our knowledge, bitcoin can help solve any economic situation due to the valid fact that it offers by breaking down barriers.
The country of Iran is interested in bitcoin to seek monetary solutions due to the sanctions it has. I don't know what will happen to bitcoin now that more countries want to join. I only wish that all these inclusions are for the benefit of the citizens of these nations.

Quote
Abolfazl Rouhani, Deputy Chief of Iran’s High Council of Cyberspace, recently said that “Cryptos could help the country bypass sanctions in a limited number of cases” while emphasizing that the central bank should come up with a clear approach to this effect.

431  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Reasons to Invest in Bitcoin?? on: June 18, 2021, 09:44:49 PM
I'm going to answer OP on reason 3.
If in my locality there are no stores that want to accept bitcoin. Of course, I have several options. Hold, buy, sell, exchange bitcoin for Fiat in the P2P of my preference.

We discuss that many times in this forum because we know how bitcoin works but for people who do not know anything it is a complete challenge.
Until they renounce the right to have bitcoin as a legal tender. As is happening in El Salvador, there are some groups that are rejecting the opportunity that many of us would like to see come to our countries.
432  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: El Salvador has become the first country to make #Bitcoin legal tender! 🇸🇻 on: June 18, 2021, 12:22:34 PM
The price of bitcoin could have a great impact taking into account the success of the implementation of the Bitcoin Law in El Salvador and by the time that happens it would have to spend at least a year and compare the economic indicators and the satisfaction of the population. Poverty does not diminish overnight, it takes time.

The country of El Salvador is attracting investors with the bitcoin resource. I see it as a pilot test that allows us to see how bitcoin can alleviate the economic crisis. It would also help if the region of Latin America follows in the footsteps of El Salvador. But the answer to everything is time and results.
433  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: ⚽Ronaldo / Coca-Cola/ Bitcoin ₿ on: June 18, 2021, 11:59:24 AM
If Cristano Ronaldo had an interest in bitcoin like Rusell Okung he could be a great influencer. But he still does not embrace bitcoin when that happens he could contribute in some way. I also do not believe in a magic formula that accelerates the price of bitcoin.

Thinking about how influencers could contribute in this case, Rusell Okung has written a letter to Muhammadu Buhari, President of Nigeria with the intention of providing his support to alleviate the tensions in his country. The president has not given him an answer, it is possible that he will not.

Quote
Mr. @MBuhari, I hope you will consider decisive action for the Nigerian people.

I’d love to offer my full support.

https://twitter.com/RussellOkung/status/1403889753938972673?s=19

As for other issues in development, as we know, not everything is rosy in El Salvador, the inhabitants need to be familiar with bitcoin, they must also feel comfortable and convinced with the Bitcoin Law that will take effect soon.
434  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: El Salvador has become the first country to make #Bitcoin legal tender! 🇸🇻 on: June 17, 2021, 05:16:00 AM
More update on bitcoin in Latin America. The following tweet indicates the accounts of important representatives of the governments of some Latin American countries that support the idea that bitcoin be included as legal use in each of their countries.
Seeing it from our side for when this other important event happens. It will be good news but I am very sure that a significant percentage of the population of those countries have already been using bitcoin in their daily lives.

According to Coinatmradar, the country of El Salvador currently has 2 Bitcoin ATMs.

Collecting more information in relation to the bitcoin ATMs installed in El Salvador in a reply from its President Nayib Bukele to Athena Bitcoin. He suggested that the country needs about 1500 ATM Bitcoin.

I was honored to be invited to the El Salvadorian Presidential Palace to meet with President @nayibbukele.

We discussed #bitcoin, volcano mining and the opportunity for the people of this great country.

435  Economy / Economics / Re: Are you investing in crypto currency alone? on: June 12, 2021, 11:40:47 PM
Thanks to the fact that I have been in the crypto space for two years. I was able to cope with the pandemic crisis because in my country we do not have aid incentives due to the current crisis. Only the government has helped some families, thank God the people I know have come out ahead as well.
If anyone still has doubts about bitcoin and cryptocurrencies, the pandemic was the best test to show that we can survive in difficult times.
The most important experience I had is that I was able to help an aunt to regain her health due to Leukemia. I thank God that it was all his doing for allowing it.
436  Economy / Economics / Re: Human productivity on: June 12, 2021, 11:00:07 PM
OP's thinking is a retrospective of how he saw gold evolve in contrast to what he knows about bitcoin.
It is the thought that we must convince those who do not know about bitcoin and that it is time for them to approach the new technology and the freedom that bitcoin offers.
The opportunities are emerging and will be favorable for the crypto community we just have to be patient and stay on board.
437  Economy / Economics / Re: Own a house or rent one? Quick survey! on: June 12, 2021, 10:13:57 PM
My answer is that I would buy the house if it is the house that I have dreamed of for all my life. If my salary is compromised to cover my daily needs, I could find other ways to earn extra money to support expenses. But I would have the security of having my own home.

I have seen this example throughout my life but unfortunately in the country where I live the facilities to acquire a house are remote. You have to save money to buy it or build it little by little. It is more common for people to rent their houses because they earn a very low income.
438  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin ever become a widely adopted global payment solution? on: June 12, 2021, 09:36:14 PM
Yes, of course.
Bitcoin as a means of payment through the Lightning Network and other solutions that are being created in other networks. This is the beginning and there will be user friendly dapps that will provide low fees and fast transactions with this we have already achieved.
The latest events will take that important step so that more people benefit from the financial inclusion that bitcoin offers.
439  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Don't believe in digital money? Well... on: June 12, 2021, 08:47:10 PM
In my country we use paper money to buy the cheapest food because we can also pay it by debit cards and mobile payments but they are more expensive.
I think we are all fortunate to know about bitcoin and cryptocurrencies before our governments regulate them.
The community has the power to support it as we are doing so far.
It is imminent that bitcoin and cryptocurrencies will replace money for now we are starting with inclusion.
440  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin’s time is now on: June 12, 2021, 08:33:20 PM
Glad to see the optimism in this thread. Before the impressive announcement that turned out to be that of El Salvador including Bitcoin in its economy the sentiment was discouraging and Elon Musk's FUD left us a little breathless. But fortunately the President of El Salvador Nayib Bukele opened the door of hope for many.

For my part, since I learned the good news for his country and for bitcoin, of course, I am following him very closely. The success of the country of El Salvador could be replicated in other countries that also need to get out of the economic crisis.
