First things first, I will not be interest to mine a coin that is just launched and yet to hit the big exchanges and most of the crypto users has the same idealogy too that is why shitcoins always prefer the PoS mechanism so they can run the project even without any real work from the community. Asking KYC for the miners seems a new thing and KYC data isn't that expensive so someone can make profits by selling them on darknet, it's just a tip while the actual salary is the profits made from manipulating and dumping the coin by the developers.
422  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does the tension make you take risk that are sometimes worth it? on: January 19, 2024, 03:44:03 PM
The decisions made in a hurry or tensed situations may not be your first choice of move even if you had the chance to change things back but it's part of the life and I won't say it's fruitful like you had, mostly it will be a vain and gamblers may regret later for doing that, if it turns out to be positive outcome then say it loud it's your day. 423  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Higher and lower risks in gambling is the gamblers choice. on: January 19, 2024, 12:36:58 PM

This is all about you either faces your fears and ready to accept what it brings or you withdraws from your fears and minimizes the threats outcomes.

It is one of the perspectives but I won't connect gambling with emotions as much as possible because it can lead to more bad things than good, so just assume gambling as an activity and do whatever you want to then just leave all the things behind and focus on the next thing that is based on skills.

Higher odds mean the chances of winning is lower but it can never be zero that is the catch. So you can never be sure that you can win 10/10 bets when you only bet on low-odd teams.
424  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the best way to spend BTC from an Electrum wallet with privacy? on: January 18, 2024, 11:27:14 PM
For example, you get paid in address A which has 0.1 BTC

You don't want to disclose you own 0.1 BTC to this restaurant, so you want to spend 200 USD on this restaurant, which are like 0.004855 BTC at current rate.

How do you do this?

Electrum doesn't have a conjoin feature but a wallet like Sparrow does you can consider using that, especially for your day-to-day spending. The simple way to break your connection of origin and destination to to move funds to an exchange wallet and then withdraw it back to a wallet that is destined for use on day to day and you are not concerned about showing that balance and history to anyone.

425  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling can be a hope restorer if we go about it wisely! on: January 18, 2024, 08:23:02 PM
Reality check: There is no guarantee that you can win the bets and make money that can be used to restore whatever you are hoping would restore and thinking in that way is wrong and which is what leads for someone to gamble for wrong reasons. Glorifying win can lead to destruction of many and the one individual who won may not disclose about how many times he lost while doing for the same reason. But you bet and won an amount that is considerably big then make use of it something more useful than just spending on booze and girls.

This actually depends on the personality of the gambler. Some gamblers when they make wins can actually take note of their spendings and use them on useful things. However some others will definitely probably spend them on unimportant things like booze just like you mentioned.

Most times in reality when gamblers hit a jackpot,  the end up spending those funds in an unwise manner. It is common with most humans to value what they struggled for rather than what came easy. It takes a great deal of discipline and self sense of goal to spend such funds wisely. However that is not to say gambling wins can't restore certain things because it actually can.

Money can do whatever we wish for, as long as we have enough to pay for it.

The discipline part can be practiced by a few gamblers who are trying to be responsible and gamble but talking about most just see it as easy money and most likely they will go for bet again if they won some money, hoping that the luck would keep returning which is the reason why most won rewards from betting lose to the betting as well.
426  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum Wallet Issue - Warning Some Data... on: January 18, 2024, 07:32:22 PM
One thing I noticed is that the wallet details say it is "watch only."  I created a new wallet and the wallet details info is much newer.  Might be because I've had the original wallet for a long time?

So this is why you can't access the funds in the wallet, you need the seeds/privkeys to access the funds and I hope you have seeds.

Just go and create a new wallet then import the wallet using seeds which will let you access the funds and move where you want to. But this contradicts what you said in the first post. you have been using the wallet for over 1 year and now only you have issues wth spending the funds or have you just used this wallet only to receive it until now?
427  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: GAMBLING DISORDER on: January 18, 2024, 06:09:43 PM
How can one control the uncontrollable urge to keep gambling despite the toll it takes on once life.

Rehab seems to the the viable option for someone with such a compulsion to gamble which can attained from therapy sessions and which comes with a hefty price too, I advise you to talk to a counsellor who has expertise in these kinds of cases and let them take care your condition. Until that self exclude yourself from all the casinos you were playing which is cold turkey but the most effective in my opinion than going gradual decrease.
428  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum Wallet Issue - Warning Some Data... on: January 18, 2024, 04:34:17 PM

I can see the money in my wallet but, when I try to send anything, I get the error message about the data being left out of the QR code and to share with the device.  I'm completely stumped and would greatly appreciate the most simple way of getting that coin out of that wallet and into one that will allow me to actually use it or withdraw it.

So the QR code you are using is causing the issue, try a different one and see if the problem still persists.

I haven't encountered such a problem yet with the Electrum wallet, so the TX went whenever I scanned QR so this could not be an issue due to the electrum side.

If QR is not working then try copy => paste the BTC address into the destination then you are free to send/withdraw your balance.

He didn't do anything that violated their terms to terminate an account and after all he don't really matter that much to the casino's perspective, he will be given attention only again if he needs help or violates the terms. Until then they have a business to run and it doesn't seem to be worth going after everyone who tries to bully/false accusations against their reputation.
You do have a point, but they could still pull the plug on him if he harassed them a whole lot more on their site when compared to his erratic and short-tempered behaviour with them on this forum.

There is always a limit to which casinos can put up with their customers basically.

We saw just one on the forum on that day but the support team maybe handling a hundred similar cases every day so they know how to take care of it and its better for them to play by the books so the individual can't blame the casino if the mistake is from the user end but if the casino decides to terminate an account just because they didn't like the way the person talking then it can be seen as authoritative which is not good for customer based business.
430  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Any means of combining multiple output into 1 ? on: January 17, 2024, 09:39:57 PM

If the price of Bitcoin dumps, shouldn't we get lower fees ?
Even if it goes up for a few more months or even years who knows, there's a point where we will get small tx fees.

The fee we set for our transaction is decided by the traffic on the mempool at the time which can be as low as possible which is 1sat/vb or crazy high as of now due to congestion which is irrespective of the value of bitcoin.

Practically, there will be a lot of activity going on the network when there is a surge or correction which increases the traffic but it what we face is beyond that, and its due to the invasion of the network by spam transactions in the name of brc20 project.

cashing out or waiting till the end of game which is more better?

Just do whatever you feel is the right thing to do, because its the game of probability and you don't have anything in your hands to decide which is better over other but if you are looking from conservative perspective then cashout when you can and don't hesitate to do that whenever is possible.
433  Economy / Reputation / Re: Farewell on: January 17, 2024, 03:46:34 PM
You are one of the forum members with whom I got my inspiration to learn more technical aspects of Bitcoin and cryptocurrency in general, still, I am in the baby steps on that journey, and it's sad to see you are leaving the train too soon.

Spend as much time with your loved ones and make it memorable.

We miss you buddy, and praying for your family to have the strength to face the hard days ahead of 'em.
434  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Making too many picks reduces chances of winning. on: January 15, 2024, 06:19:09 PM

Concentrating on one match lets you become a football whisperer, a betting oracle, predicting moves and outcomes with the finesse of a psychic octopus. It's the deep dive into stats, the strategic analysis, and the satisfaction of saying, "I called it!".  So, let the high-rollers spread their bets thin like butter on toast; we're here for the deep, meaningful connection with a single game. It's not just about the money; it's about the art of the bet, the dance of probability, and the joy of saying, "I knew it all along."

Very well said, even though you did some exaggerating words. Cheesy

But that is true, and the realistic way of thinking about how the satisfaction can become the feast for a sport bettor when they get the results in the way they wanted and I bet the probability of achieving the desired results on multiple games is far lesser and they more like compensate even if we win on one game and lost on another one.
435  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Making too many picks reduces chances of winning. on: January 15, 2024, 04:09:11 PM
One game at a time really makes sense, I don't bet on multiple games at the same time because its an overkill and completely ruins the actual fun and adrenaline part of our bet, I won't say it's quality over quantity cause its irrelevant to gambling in my opinion but it gives the complete experience and the part we supposed to enjoy will be satisfied only if we keep our concentration focused on a particular game and also it will help to make better analysis about the team and opponents and place the right bet.
436  Economy / Gambling / Re: Duelbits.com | Casino & Sportsbook | VIP | Instant withdrawals!|ARGENTINA & AVFC on: January 15, 2024, 07:48:58 AM
I would be surprised if Duelbits actually allowed him to continue playing on their site after everything he did on their site and in this forum.

437  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: transactions and their distribution via mempools on: January 14, 2024, 05:48:53 PM
Bob uses a pruned full-node, Charlie an archived full-node with -txindex and neither of them mines blocks.

The difference in the mempool size settings can be one of the possible reasons why it isn't visible or visible after a long delay when the fee of the transaction is way lower than the purging rate which means the second TX is queue far away from the tip and nodes uses default mempool size won't relay that transaction to other nodes.

Other reasons could be network latency but it can be the reason here because mostly it will be delayed a couple of minutes not 2 hours like you said.

Anyway, let's wait for the experts @o_e_l_e_o and @nc50lc who can provide an answer with a clear explanation.
438  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does signing up with affiliate links gives these benefits? on: January 14, 2024, 04:09:18 PM
For example, when someone wins a big multiplier and multiplies their account by 100x, then some casinos take a long time to process the withdrawal, or they may not even give the money. however, some say that if you sign up using a good affiliate or influencer affiliate code which have huge audience, then you won't face these type issues. also, if you promote the casino using your referral link, they might not hold back your withdrawal because you helped them get new customers.

This isn't true, any casino that cares about its reputation will not be involved in such shady practice, and if there is an actual warning triggered by the security system the bets or withdrawals will be put on hold until further verification irrespective of the individual. Referrals is more benefit for the one who share the code with you because they will get some fraction of your lost bet to that casino forever.
439  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbies be aware of this "exchange" type of scam. on: January 14, 2024, 02:24:07 PM
Thumb rule: Avoid anything that is too good to be true.

Here the exchange or casino why need to give someone rewards when they don't even have an account there this itself enough for me to conclude it is a scam but you went further and predicted before it was too late.

The template is ditto of what I used to remember years back when someone random person will contact and ask for help with the verification because the person wasn't able to complete verification due to legal status in their country and they even show you their account balance.
440  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Lost btc on: January 13, 2024, 10:00:09 PM
First of all, just check whether the transaction is confirmed or still pending by copying the txid from crypto.com to any blockchain explorer.
Op already said the transaction has been confirmed or 'completed' in their own words.
I read that but OP might have been mistaken or what if the issue starts with the crypto.com itself and failed to send the funds and wrongly marked as completed instead of failed? Smiley

Coinbase support is dead and dumb everywhere, we will get the same results no matter on what platform we contact them.
