*snip*
When it comes down to it your getting paid cent's for hours of work.  It's not worth my time or opportunity cost personally.  Some view it differently.

I still think signature campaigns are best "free" money as long as they are used properly.  The time with posting I would be spending on the board and posting anyways.

I agree with you. Although, I don't think people should see signature campaigns as a way to earn money; getting paid for posting on this forum should be seen as an extra: you should post on this forum because you think the topics are interesting, or when you want to help people (like now), or other valid reasons. Posting to get paid is something that should be prevented as that does not contribute to a better forum. I'm glad many signature campaign owners see this nowadays.
423  Economy / Digital goods / Re: ★ br41nr41n's Codes | 35% OFF (Steam, PSN, Xbox, iTunes and Games) ★ on: June 02, 2015, 09:24:36 PM
It is still unknown whether he has faulted on some deals or not. Mkrasiu, can you please confirm whether you have received the code(s) or not?

It might be possible that he left this forum after all deals were fulfilled, but we're not sure.  As wakka622 already mentioned, these codes appear to be legit. Maybe something happend to the TS.. (although he went offline for a while before).
424  Economy / Services / Re: [OPEN] Pesobang.com - Avatar & PM campaign on: June 02, 2015, 09:16:55 PM
Payments for this term has been made https://blockchain.info/tx/0bb66e49a8408467be505f44622e7f61039da801430b2f45920c22b4f5652646

The campaign is now further downsizing and changing to a monthly payment. The google doc for June campaign has been updated with the starting posts.

Payment confirmed. Thank you Carra23!

This is the first payment I have received from Carra23 with regard to this Pesobang campaign. For the BitBingo signature campaign he paid me already twice. Trustworthy avatar & signature campaign manager thus!
425  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Can you actually make a profit owning a faucet? on: May 29, 2015, 03:10:52 PM
If many people like to visit the site, then more advertisement means more profit. But you need some effort to do it because not all people or company could maintanin faucet site forever

True. Although it's not only the volume of the visitors there determine the profit: advertisements on websites about particular industries are for example paid much more than others (for example travel websites and finance websites do well with their advertisements). If you really want to create a popular faucet, I think also building some good content is the way to go (together with a lot of marketing and acceptable payouts). Build some good content about related topics (related to the faucet and related to Bitcoin). It think the content is what usually lacks in most of the faucets.  Create a faucet that is more than just a faucet - create an informative part around it.
426  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [DGC] Digitalcoin 3.0 | Multi-algorithm, Improved Blockchain Storage | RELEASED! on: May 29, 2015, 02:59:40 PM
Although alot of other altcoins are going up across the board, the price for Digitalcoin has tripled in the last few weeks which is very nice to see. Holding up nicely now between 0.000045 and 0.00005 on Cryptsy. Its also between 0.070-080 CNY or son on BTC38. Hopefully the price along with services continues to grow.

That's right, although we experience some (small) dumps today. For example six hours ago to 0.000037 and (after an increase) to 0.000039 15 minutes ago. I don't really care; the quantities are quite few that are sold. It would be great to hit the 0.00006 today or tomorrow Wink.

427  Other / Off-topic / Re: How to be fearless? on: May 28, 2015, 11:32:49 PM
"Danger is real, fear is a choice".

While I was (really) young, much bigger people could intimidate me, for example while going out. I've found my solution in Krav Maga (together with working out). Due to my job, I work at (big) clubs and (huge aswell as small) events and festivals in my country (and beyond border sometimes), in the security (management) industry. I have to deal with violence quite often. Yet, intimidating does not happen anymore.

Working out and practising Krav Maga often (4-5 times per week and 3 trainings per week) I really become more fearless. However, Krav Maga will learn you not to be a cowboy; there's no need to always fight the fear or the risk; if you can run away to escape from a danger (such as a fight) - do it. Krav Maga however does learn you too how to deal with situations in which you cannot escape anymore. Having such background, you learn 'Semper Vigilans' - always vigilant.  Analyze the dangers and risks around you, but not in an extreme - be prepared, not scared.

Great topic! Smiley

Edit; made my occupation a bit more vague.

Hi Mitchełł (or anyone else of the staff that edits the first post of this topic),

I think you have missed my previous post over here: [...]

Well, the OP was last updated May 6, and your post is from May 18; so, no surprise there. Tongue

You can see the last time Mitchełł updated the thread directly in the title: "Overview of Bitcointalk Signature-Ad Campaigns [Last update: 06-May-2015]"

I saw that, but I thought the first post of this topic would be updated as soon as additions were mentioned. But if that is not the fact, then it's no surprise indeed that the post has not been changed yet. Wink.

I think it is clear now. Small change for BitBingo; the "end date" of the period has been changed a bit due to the recent downtime, which means that the current period is a bit longer than 2 weeks. I don't think there is a need to mention this somewhere in the first post though.

429  Other / Archival / Re: Updated Overview of Bitcointalk Signature-Ad Campaigns on: May 28, 2015, 10:23:12 PM
Hi Mitchełł (or anyone else of the staff that edits the first post of this topic),

I think you have missed my previous post over here:

BitBingo.io (Thread)
Payment period: Biweekly
Minimum posts: 30 posts in two weeks
Payments: F: 0.06BTC, S: 0.08BTC, H/L: 0.1BTC
Escrow: No.
Miscellaneous: 7 spots for each rank

This need some changes I guess. Currently BitBingo pays:

- Full member: BTC 0.06 every two weeks
- Senior member: BTC 0.08 every two weeks
- Hero/Legendary member: BTC 0.09 every two weeks.

Also the minimum required posts have changed to 35 (I just noticed - before it was 30 if you did post in particular sections of this forum or 35 if you didn't). A good thing, you're now able to roll over posts to another term if that is neccesary - thus if you do not reach the required amount of posts (per two weeks).

430  Economy / Economics / Re: How to save money. on: May 28, 2015, 05:02:11 PM
I think you should reconsider how a bank is able to give out a loan; simply they can create money. Do you think all the money they lend out is from people who put their money in the bank? No. This balance is never 100% and it never will be, although this rate have been increased in many countries since the crisis. Do you know what will happen if everyone takes out their money of a bank? Bankrun!

Strictly speaking, it is not the lending bank that creates new money. When a bank gives out a loan, the new money is actually created by the corresponding central bank. The lending bank just works as an intermediary in the process of the new money creation on behalf of a central bank. So nothing dramatic will happen if everyone tries to take their money from an otherwise healthy bank, the central bank will serve as a lender of last resort. This is one of its goals (i.e. bank recapitalization)...

Bank-runs aren't a problem in a fiat world, the real problem are subprime loans gone underwater, but this has nothing to do with money creation per se

A bank will loan out 20.000 by simply "creating it" in their systems --> and transfering it to your bankacccount. What they get in return, is a monthly amount of REAL money. What did they have to do for that? Not much. It's just not as easy as meeting the inflation rate.

What do you mean by "real money", principal or interest?

Excuse me for the late reply.

Actually private banks are 'creating money', in a digital way like I wanted to explain: if you want to loan some money, they will transfer it to your bank account. This is only digital, but in the end, you have to pay back this amount of money + interest with 'real money'; fiat; the principal + interest. You hand in fiat in return for just some digital created money, just for some digits.

I think the roots of the current system are well explained over here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=01IusDeSPE4#t=135.

431  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Where to get highest free BTC? on: May 28, 2015, 04:45:32 PM
Gambling can either make you rich or kick you in the bucket. Most of the time it's the later part. So my advice is try t find a job that pays in bitcoin. An there are plenty of sig campaign in the forum. Join one of them. If you can't find one, then there's always the thing called FAUCETS> Tongue

Sig camps are actually a better option than going for Faucets... Faucets are mostly waste of time as compared to getting paid through signature campaigns...

Amen. However, if you're new to both Bitcoin and this forum, it will be quite hard to get a Sr Member account or so (in order to receive some nice payments from signature campaigns). Well, it's not really hard (as you can buy them, which I still dislike), but it will take a long time before you rank up to such ranks with your own account.

For people absolutely new to Bitcoin (and this forum) I suggest them just to put some real fiat into Bitcoin (by buying bitcoins, or parts of a bitcoin), which can them be used to "make" some extra money.  During that time, you'll have to time to level up your forum account over here.
432  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [DGC] Digitalcoin 3.0 | Multi-algorithm, Improved Blockchain Storage | RELEASED! on: May 28, 2015, 04:42:30 PM
Nice work on the pool SimonTower. And very good of you to charge no fees. I don't know this for sure, but I've heard that the X11 algorithm is the most profitable for mining DGC. X11 miners should jump on this!

TT

Thank You and You're right about the profitability. Wink
We passed 200Mh/s.

Looking at that increase of hashrate, I think more people found out about that profitabilty Wink.

I just saw a post about your pool from the Digitalcoin Facebook page, that might have caused this increase too. Well done! Smiley

God bless the 'Remember password?' button.

434  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [DGC] Digitalcoin 3.0 | Multi-algorithm, Improved Blockchain Storage | RELEASED! on: May 27, 2015, 08:43:38 PM
I think digitalcoin is the only coin to have its price more than double with the dev going on vacation.  Xawksow, take another vacation.   Grin

-tb-

Hehe. I'm glad to see actually more coins have doubled in value these days, even with no devs on vacation Wink.

However, let's hope this is the start of something beautiful. It is time that the declining line we have experienced is over now. I just remember that I still have to join you guys on IRC. Soon.. Soon.. I'm really busy Wink.

435  Economy / Digital goods / Re: ★ br41nr41n's Codes | 35% OFF (Steam, PSN, Xbox, iTunes and Games) ★ on: May 27, 2015, 08:22:52 PM
I sent him money, he said that he can't send code right now and asked if I could wait or if I wanted the refund. I asked for my money back and he went offline. Will edit after it's resolved.

Has this been solved yet?

How much are OP's pending transactions worth?

I think mkrasiu is the first person here who went for a deal but who has not (yet) received the code. I left a message 2 days after him/her, but I have not made a deal (yet); as I was not contacted. I guess it might be "just" the people in that periode. If so, please leave message over here people.

I still think 35% off is quite large for a legit business, but it's not impossible. However, going offline for periods (while deals might be active) is not really working for a good reputation..
436  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Random Steam Games $0.4 / KEY on: May 27, 2015, 08:09:33 PM
I've bought 2 keys and then he gave me 4 keys, thx for the bonus Grin
And all the keys worth 35 USD Grin

Looks like you were extremely lucky indeed Wink.  I might buy some extra random games again later FromRussia, when I'm able to use my wallet (when I'm home). If so, I will contact you again.
437  Local / Nederlands (Dutch) / Re: Actuele downtime, hack? Gestolen gegevens? on: May 27, 2015, 08:07:57 PM

438  Local / Nederlands (Dutch) / Actuele downtime, hack? Gestolen gegevens? on: May 27, 2015, 07:42:56 PM
Beste Nederlandstalige Bitcointalkers,

439  Economy / Economics / Re: How to save money. on: May 21, 2015, 08:07:14 PM

if you buy something -especially expensive things like house, land, car etc..-  with loan you can save money . Coz everyone tend to trifle away their money .

With loan? Haha that is a nice shill for the banksters.

The premium thata bank earns on loan usually is more than 200%. If you buy a 20.000€ house you usually have to pay back like 60.000€ after 20 years.

It's a bit sad that you would want to give away that much, the inflation will not be bigger than the interest you pay, so you pay way too much that way.

For a house, it'd be near impossible for most to buy without a mortgage.  HOWEVER, that should not prevent you from coming up with as big a down payment as possible.  If you can't save 20% for that...you may want to reconsider buying a house.  Nothing is cheap when it comes to house repairs, even if you can DIY...

As for cars?  Psssh, I've never financed any vehicle (car, motorcycle, etc) and never will.  Again, a cash reserve GREATLY helps when car shopping.  There are always deals to be found from people who are looking for cash

I`m an economist i understand that the immediate value or goods is preferable to a later one. Especially if the economy is inflationary.

But still the banksters earn way too much premium.

Think of this:

For a 20.000€ loan for 5 years on 1% interest you should pay in total:  21,020 € as / interest + perhaps 1% extra comission so that the bank should profit. So in total about: 21,220€.   If the inflation is below the interest rate, about 0.5%, then the bank doesnt lose money and you are better off.

However in reality, you pay about 30000 € atleast + some down payment.

So either the government inflation number is not ok ( like when did the government told the truth, the inflation is about 8%) or the banks are over the top greedy.

Perhaps the combination of both.

Bankrun!

440  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Where to get highest free BTC? on: May 21, 2015, 06:36:51 PM
u will not make much if u go with free btc sites. its better to offer a service for btc. ull easily sites yhat pay for ur services in btc and its more rewarding

Indeed, that's my advice for beginners too. Or simple work (in real life) for a local currency and trade those (dollars / euros etc) for BTC. That works much better than wasting time on faucets, even if you don't have a high wage.

Once you've got some BTC (0,x BTC for example) you can start actually "earning" more BTC with it, for example with short term trading. But hey, that is always risky. There is also a risk that you loose some. In that case, it's not really "free" BTC too.
